I used to do gymnastics here as a kid, and my daughter now does gymnastics classes here. Amy and Marty are wonderful owners, and the facility is really great and clean! 5 stars!

Signed up my daughter and was on a waitlist for the next spot, only to find out I was dropped for another costumer. Itβs preferential treatment and we have been waiting two years with no availability or tryout class. I now have her in Pride Cheering and she is excelling at a faster speed than the kids at this club. Would hands down recommend Pride Cheering if your child wants to learn her front flips, backflips and handsprings:)

I would highly recommend Fort Lauderdale Stars gymnastics for recreation or team gymnastics. They also have a great summer camp program! My child has been at Stars for 8 years from mommy and me classes all the way to team. The staff and coaches are wonderful. I suggest signing up early because their classes and summer camp fill up quickly.

3 stars for the coaching, 4 stars for the price, and 5 stars for the awesome young women!
Fort Lauderdale Stars Gymnastics is a dual-purpose facility. It contains a gymnastics gym and an akido dojo, for the martial artists among you South Floridians!
And while I've never given the dojo a try, I am already a little familiar with the gymnastics gym, having gone there before, way back in 2007 and 2008. And I'm glad to inform anyone listening which they have improved on the appearance of their facility since my last visit.
And pricing for the adult lessons remains the same as before. The one and only drawback preventing this place from gaining 5 stars out of me is the way the Tuesday evening lessons are conducted.
Instead of the coach guiding their adult students throughout the lesson, only the warmup is coordinated. After this, we're on our own. But if you have prior gymnastics experience from elsewhere, then you'll probably do fine. Otherwise, you might have to rely on a more experienced student if you're unsure of what to do or how to go about it.

The instructor was amazing very kind and makes the class fun. There's lots for the kids to do and several obstinate courses.
My daughter is 2yrs old on the phone I was told if she showed promise she would be moved to a 2.5 classroom when I showed up the lady at the front desk told me no that's not possible.
It was my daughters first class today, so I thought weβd see how it goes maybe she would be fine in the 2yr old class. Sheβs already running on the balance beams without holding onto me and is flying threw the courses. This gets frustrating because the other kids are doing amazing but at a different pace then her and patience only goes so far in a hour long class. She swings from the hand beams, jumps, does flips all of it all without instruction.
Then after the class I asked her instructor about how classes work she said the 2.5yr old class has a long wait list but she can most definitely do the summer classes for 3yr olds because she's ready!!
I try to sign her up and I was told again by the front desk lady that she absolutely had to be 3.
This makes no sense!! She's more then ready and only going to cause trouble for the younger kids. We will not be back!

All of the review session is good. I want to be a recreational gymnast. I hope itβs a good gym to teach me all the skills I want! I want to learn vault, bars, balance beam (aka beam), and floor! (A artistic gymnast) And ya! Hope they are good. I am kinda old but no one is to old to start gymnastics! I am 10. <3

My daughter has been going to Ft. Lauderdale stars for 3 years now. She is 7 years old. I am very impressed with their facility and their staff. The kids love the coaches and of course they push them to be their best, but they also know when to back off and not push if the child is fearful trying a new skill. They guide them and teach them with love. I am looking forward to the day my daughter is ready for team. :-)

We started gymnastics about a year ago or so with mommy and me classes and have been every week since! Staff is always smiling, happy and genuinely enjoy working with the kids. The gym is kept clean and maintained. Fully air conditioned, which finding any sport or indoor play area for toddlers is hard to come by it seems. Most importantly my 2.5 year old LOVES every minute. I wish I could give 10 stars, because we truly love everything about Stars! We drive all the way from South Hollywood 1-2x a week if that says anything. Coach Katie and Coach Joel and Coach Bonnie are some of our favorites! Thank you for creating an early love for gymnastics! βΊοΈ

Love this place! The staff is great. Location is convenient. And the kids absolutely love it. They somehow manage to make it fun yet constructive with so many kids running around. Both of my children are in the toddler class and look forward to it every week.

The coach was nice and seemed to enjoy her job. They taught actual gymnastics to the toddlers, while also keeping it fun for them. My daughter had a blast.

I was looking to enter my daughter in gymnastics. This place is conveniently located to my home. I came in and found out that the gymnastics classes were full but they offered a hip hop/ballet/contemporary dance class. I was told I could register my daughter for that class while she's on a wait list for gymnastics. I was intructed to go online to register her for dance and place her on the wait list. I registered my baby for her dance class and placed her on the waiting list. She started to attend the dance classes, which she liked, however I didnt. First off let me say that the dance instructor, while extremely sweet (no complaints on her), has no real dance skills, it's more of a "My Gym" style class. No real technique being taught, just freestyle dance for fun and socializing. That's great if I have a toddler at home who needs socializing. But my daughter is 8. So despite me not liking the class and paying just as much as gymnastics, I left her in it because I knew at some point it will be time for her to switch over to Gymnastics. I went to the front desk, which was manned by a teenage boy, to confirm my daughter's name was on the wait list. He looked and didnt find her. Weird, because I did it online along with my registration ? I told him to put her name on it and he didn't have the knowledge to do it. Noone was around to help the kid put it in, so he wrote her name on a piece of paper and told me he would have someone do it for him. Ok, great! MONTHS later, I'm wondering where she is on the list, I go to the front desk and they notify me that she isn't on it! Excuse me? *enter baffled face here* So they managed to auto draft me once a month from my online registration but FAILED TO PUT MY DAUGHTER'S NAME ON THE WAITING LIST TWICE!?! I mean that is the reason why we ever stepped foot in the door. All the girl could do is apologize and offer to put her name at the bottom of the list. Umm no, cancel her current classes. Super irritating

I took my 2 years old girl to try a class. Being it her first class at this place she was excited and wanted to play and jump around. Her joy met with super rude atitude and lack of patience. The person from the registration came to direct her to the kids line in an unfriendly aggressive way. For a place that works with young children, it was a bad surprise. For dessert I was told not to bring her back in 6 months. My girl goes to different fun classes around town, never met such an attitude. However I am going to consider the request and keep her way. Not for 6 months, forever!

I run a Crossfit Gym in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and I reached out to Marty, The owner of Fort Lauderdale Stars to inquire about bringing a group of athletes and coaches for a clinic one night if possible. He was able to accommodate us with no problems. Every single person we brought over had nothing but amazing things to say about their experience at Fort Lauderdale Stars. Not only his knowledge and professionalism was great but the facility speaks volumes on how clean and up to date everything is! We look forward to going back again soon.
