So if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to dance, have fun learning, and meet really great instructors and fellow students, Fred Estaire in East Delray is the place !

Our initial goal was to learn how to properly country dance. When we arrived they already had a plan in place. We first met Clara, big smile and welcoming ! Then we met our instructors, Yieva, Nicolas. They are great, patient, knowledgeable, and super encouraging.

This helps, trust me ! All the instructors are great !

The cool thing is, we came in for one genre, and now we are learning all kinds of dancing. The the studio offers group lessons, privates, and they have dance events weekly. It is NEVER dull 😉👍

What’s really nice is how the owners Mar & Clifton have created an environment for fantastic dance, fun, encouragement at all levels and that’s why we continued on in our journey. Never pushy, just fun results. Funny thing, we like it so much we went and got our own dance shoes, my wife got cool outfits too ..

Cannot recommend this studio enough! My husband and I wanted to do a choreograph dance for our wedding, so we started 12 weeks of dance lessons with instructor Kate. I want to personally thank Kate, as she is not only extremely talented but is so sweet! We love her! Our dance was so much fun and all of our guest were extremely impressed with our dance. Kate (our dance instructor) met with us during our first lesson, got to know us and the music we liked, and choreographed our first dance and even cut the song to match the dance. We were easily able to give that download to our DJ at our wedding.

I CAN DANCE. My dream has come true. Thanks to these fantastic, enthusiastic and nurturing instructors.
YEVA, my personal instructor, (an amazing accomplished dancer) has practically performed a miracle to get me to dance (at least I think I am dancing 😂) the rhumba, buchatta, tango, waltz, bolero and a few other dances with moves like spins and crossovers.
She also has me performing a dance at a show this weekend.
ROMA and KATE (also amazing accomplished dancers) have taught me some other great dances and moves in the Astaire studio's group lessons.
CLARA is always so welcoming and is another gifted dancer who is always there to help you when you need it.
MAR and CLIFTON run the place like a Beautiful Classy Nightclub and are also spectacular dancers
They give you your much needed critiques so you can learn to look and move better than anyone else on the floor and that's what gets you the dance partners. (I am still working on that 😁)

Just watching these people dance is a better show than some I pay to see.

The social aspect is great for singles and couples.
There is always a party going on.🥳

It's great exercise and stretching.
You can feel and see your posture getting better.

Years ago, I came across a group of people dancing the tango on a warm summer evening in Central Park, NY. There were young couples and older couples; there were couples in their 80s still strutting their stuff with grace, passion, and rhythm. Ok this is a LONG review because I am so impressed with this studio!
My fiancé and I decided that we didn’t want to sway awkwardly for our first dance. I grew up taking ballet and jazz but am clueless when it comes to ballroom dancing, and he has no prior dance or music experience. We figured dancing lessons and a choreographed first dance would be the way to go.
I’m not really sure what I was expecting, but from the moment we walked in, I was blown away. First off, it is a beautiful, spotless, and inviting space. There are snacks, coffee, and water, and every detail is well thought-out.
Then, there’s Mar and Clifton, the owners/instructors. They are two of the most genuine and kind people I’ve ever met. They made us feel so welcome, and spent time listening to our story of how we met, our engagement, and what we were hoping to accomplish with our dance! Mar was so in tune with our vision and even used pieces of our story in her choreography!
Which brings me to my second point… Clifton and Mar are REAL dancers. They perform and compete internationally. Mar choreographed our dance and I honestly can’t express how beautiful and creative her work is! She teaches with such skill and ease, and always makes it look elegant/fancy but very doable for beginners.
Lastly, we have had so much FUN in this whole process. I wasn’t expecting this to be such a stress-reliever in the throes of wedding planning and daily life stuff. Honestly I can’t recommend this specific studio enough. No matter your prior experience, Clifton and Mar will make you feel confident, and you will look forward to each lesson! I hope to keep dancing even after our wedding date!

My Fiance and I decided to embark in a BIG project in mists of our wedding. Not only are Cliff and Mar world class dancers, they are world class teachers. I'd never taken a dance lesson in my life before I walked in the door of their studio two years ago. In addition to private instruction we have group classes, Friday night dance parties, and outings to clubs around town. It's a fun, high energy environment and all the students here are really supportive and super cool.

Best Fred Astaire studio Ive ever danced in. Mar and Clifton along with their staff are fantastic! Im so lucky to have them here in my hometown of Delray! I have even done a competition and won a few awards! Never would I have ever guessed I could dance like a star!!

I started taking lessons 2 months ago after seeing the owners Mar Martinez and Clifton Sepulveda perform. Not only are they the most amazingly talented dancers, but also incredible teachers. I look forward to both group and private classes. There is a warm sense of community at the studio and I have received much encouragement from both staff and other students, which is so important to beginning dance students. The practice parties are wonderful and offer an opportunity to show off what you have learned while having loads of fun with the different themes and games these creative owners arrange. No review can completely capture the terrific experience of taking lessons here. WARNING: Participation is highly addictive and causes great happiness and laughter! LOL😃

Delray Beach is so very fortunate that Mar Martinez and Clifton Sepulveda selected our little town to launch their beautiful, breathtaking new dance studio.
Having the opportunity to be taught by two such talented dancers is a very special thing. Not only are Mar and Clifton internationally ranked (world class!) professional dancers, but they are wonderful people and their love for what they do is obvious. And most importantly, as operators of a dance studio, they are excellent teachers, with limitless patience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in dance. This all translates to making the process fun and rewarding for their students -- and I have been a student here now since they opened in January 2017. In Jan 2017, I hobbled into the Fred Astaire Delray Beach Dance Studio with right knee pain, two left feet, no rhythm, and a desire to learn only the salsa. Eighteen months later, I am socially proficient in twelve dances, competed in three dance competitions (first one after only 4 months), and have the ability to move my hips. But, more importantly, dancing has truly changed my life. Back, in 2010, I had my knee reconstructed with a new ACL and repair of two meniscuses but my knee never quite recovered from this injury... until I started to dance. After a month of dancing, I noticed a significant improvement in my knee. And, after six months of dancing, the knee pain is completely gone and I am back to leading a very active lifestyle. I owe it all to Mar & Clifton! They are excellent instructors, great motivators, and true friends!! And, as an added bonus, I have developed friendships with other dancers through the daily group lessons and weekly practice dance parties. Thanks to Mar & Clifton, I have a new passion and plan on dancing my way through the rest of my life. Many thanks!

In preparation for my son's wedding, we started taking dance lessons with Mar. I had absolutely no experience and could not have been happier with the experience Mar and Clifton provided us. Mar choreographed our mother-son dance for the wedding and it was just perfect She is an amazing teacher - patient, fun, kind, encouraging and an experienced dancer. We had so much fun learning and the lessons proved to be a great success. The cheering and applause at the wedding was so joyful and a testament to the time invested in learning to dance. Mar taught me something I only dreamed of doing and it came to fruition. The dance studio exceeded my expectations. Mar and Clifton are two of the most friendly and kind people I have met in a long time. My husband and I are now signing up for dance lessons!

I walked into this studio, not knowing what to expect. I met Mar, an amazing Cuban dancer. She shared with me that her and partner Clifton are national dance champions. So here in South Florida, Mar and I engaged in perhaps the hottest salsa I've ever encountered. She helped me improve my movement and rhythm within my dance technique. After she helped tweak my movements, I felt like a million bucks! Together, Clifton and Mar delivers the natural energy essential to ballroom dancing. I cannot say enough great things about this studio!! Ran by Clifton and Mar who are a couple of the most patient, polite and considerate people we've ever met. Not to mention both world class dancers who are true professionals. We (my wife and I) both had two left feet but wanted to surprise our wedding guests with a great first dance. We took private dance lessons with Mar and we could not have done this dance without her help! She recognized our skill sets and pushed us just far enough to not only complete the dance but made it look like we knew what we were doing. Everyone at the wedding was very impressed and got A LOT of compliments, we nailed it thanks to Mar!! She was super patient and planned every session perfectly. It's a total non-judgement zone there, which was great for first time dancers like us. They have parties for all their clients every Friday which was fun and they make sure to keep things loose so you won't have to worry about looking like a fool! Overall it's a great place they do a great job and are all around great people who actually care about your situation and work with you on every step. Would highly recommend this studio for any dance needs.

I joined the Fred Astaire Studio in Del Ray last December. This studio is ran by the nicest people I have ever met. Clifton and Mar are not only the best dance instructors I have ever had but are also the most fun and true people I know. They truly make you feel like family and since I only started living in Del Ray last year I really appreciated their friendship. I would recommend everyone try their studio before ever starting any where else. They will not be disappointed! Ten stars!

Great studio, lots of fun & a great exercise! My wife & I have been students for a couple of months now and we are hooked. Clifton & Mar, the owners, are phenomenal dancers who you wouldn't expect to be so down to earth & personable but they are very humble with the ability to make everyone comfortable no matter your dancing level!
