I don’t leave reviews often but had to for FP in St Augustine. I honestly cannot recommend Alex highly enough. If you are in pain, have gait concerns, or really just want to improve your movement, athleticism and biomechanics, he is your guy. Alex has incredible attention to detail, we were working virtually and he could see me doing things that I didn’t even know I was doing, and was able to give me precise and meaningful corrections. He takes every session seriously and is committed to your betterment, and is motivating and encouraging throughout.
Since working with Alex I have better rotation into my left side and know how to use my glutes! I only wish I lived closer so I could do in person sessions. Thank you Alex!

I started doing the group workouts almost a year ago when they first opened. Before that I had plantar fasciitis, sciatic pain, lower back pain and hip pain. I tried the chiropractor, stretch lab, yoga, etc but then I went to FP and all those pains went away. My fitness and appearance have improved especially with functional tasks like picking up my kids and off road biking. If you have any kind of pain or if you want to take your functional fitness up, you need to try this program. I go 2-3 times a week and I like to do at least one workout and the MFR class on Wednesday. The people are nice, the staff are knowledgeable and the gym has nice equipment including some exclusive items.

I came down to St. Augustine to train with Alex a few times a week and attend the group classes at Functional Patterns St. A. I am so grateful that I followed my gut! Alex is a very devoted expert who is skilled at seeing your exact dysfunctions and how to remedy them. He is also a truly kind, humble and genuine man. The training sessions are challenging but so rewarding and therapeutic. I can feel the changes taking place and it's a very inspiring process.

Highly recommend Functional Patterns! I'm stronger today and pain free from a herniated disc thanks to Alex. I trained with him for months and look forward to continuing in the new year. After the online program, I needed some help connecting the dots. Ty not only connected the dots but was the accelerant my FP knowledge and skills needed. Location: easy to find, has on-site parking; inside is spacious and equipped with tools I was already familiar with and many that were new to me. My personal trainer Ty is always on-time for our early morning appointments and ready to go as soon as I arrive. The 1:1 training sessions are hard but wicked FUN AND effective. The owner Alex is usually there early in the morning as well. If you are in the area definitely check them out.

In July of 2023, I started training with Alex after I was struggling with knee and then shoulder pain from playing tennis.
I initially started doing physical therapy but saw no results after many months. I wasn’t able to walk or play tennis pain free for a while. However, after starting FP, I almost immediately began noticing results. I returned to playing tennis just after a few months, and felt more confident overall in my day to day life.
Training with Alex also helped me tremendously improve my tennis . I am much faster in running on court, my body movements are more coordinated.

This is not your average personal training.. this will change the way you move, fundamentally. Traditional body building workouts, surgeries, and injuries created wacky compensatory patterns in my body, and I was in a lot of pain. Then I found Alex! If you’re looking for a personalized fitness trainer go to Alex. He will structure your physical training to your individual needs in a very professional manner. My son, a two year stroke survivor has been working out with Alex since his stroke two years ago. Alex’s knowledge on functional strength, movement and posture directly contributed to my son being able to walk confidently again without a cane and be able to navigate steps. Each session was detailed to our son’s capability and spasticity pain level which varied from day to day. I highly recommend Alex and MyoSYNC for anyone wanting improved physical conditioning. I’ve trained with MANY DIFFERENT TRAINERS over the years and Alex is an entirely different prototype and will be my last trainer!

I have worked out with Alex for several years now and have watched my posture, bone density, aesthetics and movement improve drastically.

His workouts are well planned, fun, and never boring. He knows how to read his clients and push them just enough and back off when needed.
His focus on my Myofascia and it’s roll in my posture and movement has me feeling, looking and moving better at 66 then I did 30 years ago. I’m a mid 30s dad and physical therapist. I try to stay in good enough shape to raise healthy, happy kids, perform a physically demanding job, and enjoy the ocean and landscapes around me. I met with Alex hoping to get a few new training ideas for myself and see if there was anything that would inspire new treatment ideas for my patients. I got much more out of our session than I expected. Alex’s teaching style is attentive, precise, practical, and patient. He pointed out movement habits that contribute to some old aches and pains and gave me ways to work on those, worked with me on a few things to add to my PT tool kit, and most importantly, I had a great time. Alex's passion for your physical health is beyond any previous trainer I've had. I've watched others staring off into space while you do an exercise for them, but Alex is watching every minute movement to assure your form is perfect so as not to injure yourself and also help your body perform its absolute best. We are both runners and were already in good physical condition. When we first encountered Alex it was for six months of strength and balance training using exercises and movements we'd never done before.
