I sure hadn't seen a gym with all five star reviews. So I thought I'd check this place out. Now after a few months I'm writing a 5 star review.
You should do what I did and check this place out.
I'm very aware that this might sound like an ad. It's not. I just like this place. A lot. This gym is a great operation and group of people. And the more people that visit Game of Fitness, the better.
So, a review of what this place is like:
The workouts kick your a** in the best way. You're not doing crazy complex heavy movements while you're gassed and risking injury - but you will WORK. That being said, there's people of all shapes and sizes giving it their all. And the coaches know their stuff and make the workouts work for anyone.
The nicest thing about this place is how personal it is. You get the owners personal phone number on the first day. Which is insane....I wouldn't do that if I had a gym. But Brad's that kinda guy.
The intensity is also super "personalized". I use that buzzword in the sense that their workouts meet you where you're at. The workouts are HARD but they make it work for everyone. Theres a balance. The intensity is there where you need it. But it's not in your face. Although if you want to kick the intensity up a notch, they got you there too.
Also - it's not just a gym. This place is like a damn health commune. In the best way. They got physical therapy doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, and more that I'm probably forgetting. That's how much there is. It's all under one roof. And they're all amazing people. It's a little village of all walks of life where everyone's happy and healthy in there. Kinda how the world should work now that I think about it.
And I'd be remiss if I didn't mentioned the sauna and cold plunge setup. In a world where all kinds of strip malls are getting a $200/month carbon copy luxe sauna and cold plunge that is devoid of soul - they give you UNLIMITED for $50 more on your membership. And their sauna and cold plunge area is a damn oasis. It's such a lovely little escape from the world and there's plenty of room to hang out by yourself or with new friends from class.
This place literally has it all. You'll be happy you joined.

Best gym in St Pete! But more than just a gym…personal training, nutrition coaching, sauna/cold plunge recovery area, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists all under one roof. Yet, the greatest aspect is the community, members and staff alike. The overall experience is what kept me here. Ownership has done a great job at carving out a piece of the St Pete community and creating a family-like environment around it.

The owners and all of the coaches are so helpful and constantly providing great instruction. I can also highly recommend Rise Recovery and Performance Center - Julia & Ryan have been very helpful in rehabilitating my knee. All around a fantastic place!

Coach Troy Trecoce was amazing.
He focuses on you doing the exercises well and is aware of each of the clients, which in other gyms they only pretend to do, but they really let you do the exercises wrong without telling you anything....here is different and I like to have coaches like that at the gym.

My partner and I joined GOF 3+ months ago and both highly recommend it. The instructors are super nice and friendly and are extremely helpful during class. They don't push or yell, but they do encourage and assist with form, motivation, alternative exercises if needed, etc.
The classes are small, usually 6-8 people which is perfect. Everyone who attends is really nice as well. Its just a comfortable, no BS, very down to earth place with a great mix of people. All ages, shapes, and sizes, which makes for a good community feel.
Workouts are challenging and well curated throughout the whole week but you can go at your own pace during class, which is nice. The routine is varied and feels like a good mix of strength, cardio, mobility, flexibility. Its definitely functional fitness.
The owners are present and active and get to know each member and genuinely care about each person and their goals, needs, etc. Or they will leave you alone if you prefer to just do your own thing and get in and get out.
Highly recommend coming to a few classes to get a feel for it and you'll get the vibe right away.

Excellent gym for small group fitness in St. Pete!
Brad and Rachael have created an awesome community of members, detailed oriented coaches and trainers. Great people all around makes this more than a gym. There is also an in house community of massage, chiropractic and physical therapy folks that are truly amazing if you ever have a need for some help.
Very complete and relaxing recover area complete with a Sauna, Ice Baths and a Cold Plunge tub. Great way to take care of yourself after workouts and start the day right. I've been a member for going on a year and a half and have not found anything that fits me better. Drop in and check it out.

I moved to GoF two months ago after being at my CrossFit gym for nearly 12 years. It’s been a very refreshing change. The coaches are all wonderful and actually care/provide assistance as needed and I really like the program structure. Cardio days are intense and you can scale up or back your strength days depending on how heavy you want to go. It’s always a full 40-45 minute workout (not including warmup) which is my preference (over the 9-15 minute workouts you generally see with CF). The gym is smaller than what I’m accustomed to but if that doesn’t bother you I would definitely recommend giving it a shot. The members are equally as great and there is a real sense of community.

Game of fitness is the best gym in St Pete! The coaches are knowledgeable and helped me work through some lower back problems by giving me alternative movements or exercises as to not hurt myself. I switched here after a different gym was making my back problems worse. I started working with Rachael as my personal trainer and she quickly identified the source of my back issues which I was able to take to a massage therapist and fix.
The group workouts are hard but in a good way, because there is a definite sense of community at this gym. Everyone from the coaches to the athletes are kind and welcoming. I started here after one month at another gym and 8 years without working out before that. They are able to cater to all levels of athletes by starting with body weight exercises and slowly allowing you to grow at your own pace. Whether you’re new to working out or a seasoned athlete , this is the place for you!

I’ve been coming here for about five months now, so this review is overdue!! I absolutely love this group fitness gym. I can honestly say I’m in the best shape of my life as a result of their programming and can simply do things now I couldn’t do before. It’s a really supportive environment between the coaches and fellow members. Everyone is just really nice. Owned by Rachael and Brad who are both very knowledgeable and experienced and I appreciate the tips and help they give me on my form so I can prevent injuries. Brad & Rachel are very down to earth: passionate owners that truly care about your quality of movement. All of their coaches too: Cheri, Vera, Tii, Amber (who I train with), Mike, Jeremy, Emma, Courtney (haven’t worked with everyone yet per my schedule)- but the thing is they have a great variety of times that work for everyone’s schedule. My husband and I have tried over a dozen gyms in the St. Pete area, but Game of Fitness is our clear favorite. The workouts vary daily, providing a great mix. The gym's owners and coaches are excellent. After a week of classes at Game of Fitness, we feel both sore and accomplished. The workouts are well-rounded, and I've not only become stronger, but my endurance and stamina have also improved. I often use the recovery area, which includes a sauna and a cold plunge. This area is not just well-designed and maintained, but also very clean. They also have super fun themed workouts at times, especially holiday workouts!

I can't express how much I love this gym!
I'm going on my 6th year and have no plans on going anywhere else.
I'm 52 years old and really feel like I'm in the best shape of my life..
The workouts never get old or boring. All the members are very supportive of each other and very friendly.
I love Brad and Rachael, they have helped me so much over the years....
I've learned alot about the proper form when lifting weights and about nutrition.
It just keeps getting better year after year. They added the ice plunge and sauna a year ago and that just took it to whole other level..

I joined GOF last October and its been really fun working out with and getting to know everyone. Game of Fitness is the BEST! Brad and Rachael are professional, knowledgable, motivating and fun! I attend the group workouts and each one starts with a warm up and an example of each exercise before getting into it. Members are friendly and encouraging. Workouts are challenging and effective and allow for modifications when needed. Social events are planned outside of gym time for members to build relationships. GOF offers all the equipment you need (rowers, skiers, bikes, barbells, dumbbells, kettle bells, med balls, jump ropes, etc...) and the instructors you need to get a good workout done.

The owners of the gym are phenomenal and so are all of the coaches. After a solid week of classes at Game of Fitness, we struggle to walk in the best of ways. If you're looking for a gym that feels more like a supportive fam, Game of Fitness is your place! I've been training with Brad & Rachael for 8+ years and yet the workouts are never a bore. Great gym, with a community of people to encourage you to meet your goals. I’m picky with where I work out because I am afraid of getting injured. This gym does an incredible job of having modifications pre established so you don’t have to feel awkward asking. One of my other favorite things is that they program accessory work into their workouts so that you never forget to work the small stabilizing muscles, and even include some exercises known to decrease back pain and promote pelvic floor health. Happy to call this gym my home!

If you’re looking for a gym in st Pete- look no further! This gym is awesome. They keep a very clean environment and have everything you need which is hard to find in my opinion. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a personal coach who knows what they are talking about I would seek out coach Mike! He has helped me grow in my fitness journey way more than I could’ve done on my own. His knowledge is broad so anything that you’re wanting to focus on he can most likely help you reach your goal in that area. He is very good at getting you to where you want to be while preventing injury which is very important to me since I already have a weird knee issue. 10/10 recommend! Definitely check them out :)

Overall the best experience so far after trying multiple group fitness classes in the area. The workouts are GREAT and the coaches do a great job helping all fitness levels execute the workout as programmed.
On top of that, the have great facilities including a sauna, cold plunge, and ice baths. They go above and beyond to keep them sanitary and safe. You won’t find many places that have a combo of all these things AND deliver excellent fitness classes. 10/10 recommend!

Have been a member since the beginning. I can’t say enough great things about what Brad and Rachael have created here. From a variety of fantastic coaches and trainers to massage and physical therapists. Now they have created a tranquil recovery area complete with a Sauna, Ice Baths and a Cold Plunge tub. There are experienced trainers on site to guide you all while explaining the benefits as well as workouts designed around heat and cold therapy. This place is everything! The coaches are approachable, kind, and fun with a level of expertise that is exceptional. I trust them. The programming is the best I've ever seen and includes ancillary work, the results of which sneak up on you and before you know it...💥 you conquer a goal. I was looking for a gym that needed to check a lot of boxes. It had to have challenging workouts, great coaches, members of all levels who support each other, and it had to be clean. Game of Fitness checks all of these boxes. I attend group classes 5x per week and do personal training with Rachael 1x per week. I have a love/hate relationship with the workouts - they challenge you, but don't kill you (sometimes it's close though). The coaches encourage you and work with you on proper form and the class members are in it with you. And Rachael - she fixed me. I've struggled with hip/glute pain for years that nobody has been able to help me with. Rachael has worked with me on strengthening that area, changing my form in other areas that directly affect those issues, and teaching me exercises to help alleviate the discomfort. My running is better, my form is better, and the pain is at about 50% of what it was. I love this place - Rachael and Brad you have built a community.

Great gym! I was coming in from out of town and was very nervous about finding a gym away from gym. First meeting with owner, Brad, made me feel very comfortable. Actually all the staff I met did. During our meeting Brad took time to meet with me and find out what my goals are. We worked together to find a program that would work for me. I can’t recommend Game of Fitness enough. Brad and Rachael (the owners) have built such an amazing gym community that not only keeps members accountable and consistent, but also encourages them to strengthen and move towards more advanced exercises, safely. On a personal note, I’ve been working out with Brad for 7 years now and the improvement I’ve seen in my confidence, my strength, and my mental wellbeing is mostly owed to Brad’s programming and the constant encouragement from both him and Rachael. Their level of care goes above and beyond to make sure each member of this gym is getting exactly what they need out of the programming. If I’ve ever had any kind of injury, Brad has always modified workouts to accommodate, if I ever fall out of my gym routine, he personally reaches out to motivate me to get back into it. The rest of the team reflects the same level of care as they do. With any workout, good form is the focus. The programming is a blend of strength and conditioning and meets members exactly where they are – whether they’re just getting started on their fitness journey, or ready to take on a CrossFit competition. One of the best fitness experiences I have encountered in years. Being a former Division I athlete I have injuries that I need to be sensitive to, but not pampered. Brad & Racheal's extensive knowledge of injury prevention with a high level fitness execution was on point. The nutritional guidance was a plus, as well as, the clean and friendly environment. Having been to countless gyms in St. Pete and all around, I can say that GOF is by far the very best out there. Brad's programming always makes for an awesome workout, whether it's conditioning, strength or stamina day. It is also the only gym I've ever been where they consistently correct form and take the time to work with you individually to address any injuries or weaknesses and give you guidance on how to fix them. From the first day I came into the gym, Brad took the time to correct my squat form and explain how it affected my knees/hips. Since then, both he and Rachel have continued to make sure I'm performing all movements correctly. They are also great at providing modifications for any movement. Apart from the awesome coaches, everyone at the gym is incredibly friendly and supportive. It feels like a family and I always look forward to my workouts here. GOF is the best!

My husband and I have been regular gym goers together for over 25 years. We have been members of a variety of gyms over those years. We recently moved back to St Pete, joined Game of Fitness, and we are enjoying every minute. I personally have had some back and shoulder issues stemming from a bad fall in 2003. I’ve been to multiple doctors, massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, you name it. When I started with Brad and Rachael, I told them all the things I could not do due to my past injury. They modified workouts for me every time, but encouraged me to strengthen my problem areas rather than just, “put a bandaid on them”, like all the past doctors, therapists, etc had done. Brad and Rachael gave me specific exercises to do at the gym and at home, which helped a lot. When I started personal training with Rachael, we worked even harder on strengthening those areas and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m pretty sure they fixed me!!!! Working with the coaches at Game of Fitness has made a tremendous impact on my day to day life. I honestly thought I would live with pain for the rest of my life, but Game of Fitness has changed things up for the better for me. Not only am I getting stronger every day, but I’m enjoying the vibe so much at this gym. GOF offers not only fitness but a feeling of belonging and togetherness that I have never felt at any other gym. Classes are kept small, which is so incredibly wonderful (even more so today). Most gyms pack them in, max capacity in small group fit rooms. GOF sees each member as an individual, with individual needs and they tailor workouts to each member. They care deeply about helping their members along on their fitness journey. I’ve never had a gym that works so hard to make sure that the members do all of their exercises safely Brad and Rachael change I can’t into I CAN!!!!!

I can not thank Brad, Rachael, and Courtney enough. I joined GoF coming off of knee surgery and had no confidence in the stability of my knee. I also had been carrying too much weight for over a year after leaving the last gym where I was a member. After one visit, I knew GoF was the gym for me and signed up the very next day.
