Iβd give a 0 if I could, stopped in months ago, way overcrowded idk how they get away with that. Smells like itβs never been cleaned. No communication with staff and coaches,. Was willing to give it a shot for team, calls back and forth but no one knows anything, coaches quitting constantly, hot mess of a place.

Very nice place for your child to either learn some karate / mma or gymnastics.
Great teachers, friendly and respectful. The only reason I gave a 4β is that when they close because of their own choice and your child misses a class which is once a week for us, they don't reemburse... I mean it's their choice to close for let's say this whole week for the 4th of July. Ok close that's fine let's them you know , do class on a different day or something but close a entire week and not reemburse kinda sad. But this place other than that is awesome.
Toilet access, they have food and drinks you can buy. Even if you want to eat fries you can.

I canβt say enough good things about this place. For over 12 years, Golden City has surrounded my daughter with love, strong Christian values, and an incredibly dynamic and diverse coaching staff that has pushed my daughter to be her very best. Whether youβre looking for a recreational, competitive, or an elite program, this is the place to be.

My daughter was at this gym for over 6 years, growing through the BRIDGE program and competing on team. Although there were times it took her longer to gain certain skills, the coaches were patient, supportive, and always pushing her to go above what she thought she could. Even the owners, Sean and Tonie, took part in her development there, becoming a second family to her. Thank you for everything!

Loved my daughters first class today! Very excited to keep bringing her back. Coming from another gym, the circuits are perfect for her age group. Her coach was very sweet. We will pay whatever for great coaches and experience. Love that they have leotards for all ages in their shop. We were explained everything in great detail by the front desk and made the process very simple.

The teacher seemed nice, until we realized she had her favorites. My daughter was and is a natural. She has raw talent. She does well at dancing. She was never allowed to progress to the next level. The owner, every time he comes in, makes this big show of saying hi to everyone. Now I realize it was just PR. They need major modifications here, to include dealing with kids who're not white as equal.

my daughter was here for 3 years. only moved up once. (she's amazing at gymnastics) its her passion. staff was nice, facility could use a makeover. equipment not in the best shape. Some weeks her coach was a different person. A little unorganized. we removed her to find another gymnastics so that she can really thrive in her passion.

The coaches should be ashamed of the girls from gym at the charity challenge competition. I am all for chearing loud, but these girls just screamed as loud as they could on purpose and thought it was funny. This is bad sportsmanship to ruin the award ceremony for the rest of the girls because they wanted to be brats.
Such a poor representation of your gym.

The owners are not involved in the weekend classes! They are non existent. After attending for 5 years the first meeting of the Owner was the worst impression I couldβve experienced. I was spoken down to in an extremely rude manner after never meeting this person before. It makes you question what was she judging me by to speak to me with such disgust and disdain. The only time we have not attended gymnastics was during COVID which we still stuck by the gym and never withdrew from classes. I got along with everyone in the office and coaching staff. I have been on a first name basis with them since October 2016 and after one brief encounter the owner removed my children from gymnastics with no regard to their gymnastics career. Everyone on staff knows I plan on my children making it to the Olympics between 2032 - 2040. My children have never been more devastated that the routine they have been doing for over 5 years now with Soccer in the morning and then Gymnastics afterwards is now not an option because all schools have a waitlist longer than 6 months. As a single parent itβs extremely difficult to find an organization that works with you on scheduling. I would not advise anyone to start something here because you never know when your last day could be because the owner is in a bad mood.

Their little kids program is not the best.
My child has a new teacher each week and was extremely bored because they did the same thing pretty much every week. She was not put into the right class and the front staff was so rude. When we decided to take her out they couldnβt care less, which is fine.
We went elsewhere and itβs definitely night and day! Sheβs actually new things and has fun.

If i could give them 1 star i would i thought about bringing my daughter here but no thank you!!!!!! The lady who picked up the phone to answer my questions was very disinterested in helping and her answers were very short with me. The 1st communication is always going to set the tone for me. If customer service matters to you then this definitely not the place you want to bring your child. πperiod.

If you're looking for coaches that actually care about the success and well-being of your child, Golden City is it. They invest so much time in the development of their athletes. We've had a great experience and we recommend them to everyone we know.

The front desk was rude to me and belittled me. The bathrooms are not clean. My 4 year old daughter had a different teacher every week. She does better with a consistent coach. Itβs expensive. No make up classes.

My daughter has been at the gym for 8 years now, I love Golden City! The owners and staff care deeply about the kids at the gym and o can personally say that I feel safe with my child being there and myself as well, one night when leaving my car battery died and while waiting for help the owner stood in the parking lot with me and when someone. Either of us knew he was right there ready to defend and protect me. The office manager knows every child that comes in and is strict but living in an awesome way. The kids totally respect her.

Giving one star to this facility and its staff seems overly generous! I have to echo many of the sentiments Of Cynthia, Pia, Jill, and Beckie. Rude staff who "belittle" children. (Is that a family friendly environment?) "Dirty bathrooms" that need a visit from the Hillsborough County health inspectors. (When I see that I start to worry about MRSA and other antibiotic resistant skin infections?) There are many less expensive facilities, that have a more nurturing environment. Parents, do your homework!

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYMNASTICS GYM , my daugther went to golden city for 2 years . Its over priced one and two at the summer camp the other teachers were saying to this one little girl " your backhandsping looks like a old lady " WOW who would say that to a kid? And the teachers pick " FAVORITES" . My daughter was more skilled then other girls , my daugther is 11 and is in level 8 the teachers would favor girls in her level more then some of the other older girls that were in lower levels . WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!!!!!π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘

We love Coach Sean!! He is a wonderful boys coach and co-owner of Golden City. He has filled my son with an excitement, a sense of Pride, and a hard work ethic in his gymnastics. He really cares about his students and wants them to do well! When he gives my son a compliment I know he means it! My son asked for private lessons one day and he specifically asked for Coach Sean. That tells me my son believes in Him, trust him, and respect him!! Coach Sean is the best!

There is both good and bad at GCG. The facility is great, they have a great training program, and the kids seem to learn a lot. The bad is the boys' program and teacher, who is also the owner. He does not explain to the boys what they are supposed to be doing, but yells at them when they do not read his mind and do it correctly. If they move too slowly or quickly, they are mocked and yelled at in front of everyone. I witnessed multiple boys crying under his care. There are only 2 classes for boys 6 years and up. The first teachers somersaults. The other class is for everyone else. It seems like a great environment for girls, although I heard parents mumbling that the girls' teachers don't explain what the kids are supposed to be doing either. I would not recommend this gym for boys unless he thrives under a boot camp-like environment (complete with belittling) at a young age. My son left in tears, saying that he never wanted to see the owner again; that even his voice will give him nightmares. Gymnastics is my son's passion, so we will be going elsewhere.

My daughter has been at GCG since she was 5 and she is now 12. She could not imagine being anywhere else. She loves all the coaches and the girls are all like sisters. My favorite part about this gym is the feeling of family and the environment the kids are in. It is not always about winning but about learning to overcome your weaknesses and becoming stronger. Gymnastics is a mental sport and the coaches at GCG to an amazing job helping these girls overcome the mental blocks they find themselves in.

First, I will start by saying this is the first time I have ever written a review on any business. My daughter visited the gym tonight for the first time to try the 4 pm tumbling class. It was horrible! The two instructors in her class were very rude, expected her to already know what she was doing and this was her first time ever seeing these activities and exercises and were too busy talking to each other than explaining the proper task to my 7 year old who was left to get direction from a fellow classmate she had met only moments before. Take your child elsewhere as I intend to do...

I have two daughters that attend classes and I could not say enough great things about the staff and the facility. The coaches are wonderful teachers of the sport and the ratio of kids to staff is perfect for learning and development. Everyone stays on task and they move throughout the workouts seamlessly, rotating from location to location. We have been to a few gyms in the area and we have found our home here for the past few years. It is a wonderful and healthy environment for girls to go as far as they want to in gymnastics. I would recommend it to anyone looking for coaches and staff members with ethics and morals who want to the right thing for your child and help them achieve all that they want.
