I have a membership at another Gold's, I have my app, there were people in the gym working out, and the manager told me they were closed today. She was rude. I had my app open and she told me she couldn't verify it. Google (and all gold's gyms) said it was open today.

You don't find many gyms like this anymore. Spent a week in destin and luckily found this Golds Gym. Old school gym, yet still plenty of equipment for all fitness levels. Very clean and the staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. I plan on visiting the panhandle more often in the future and this will be my go to gym.

Very friendly staff, however the gym is horrible. The equipment is very old and outdated, The variety of equipment is very limited as well. The place is also very humid and hot! It was about 90 degrees or so inside at 7am. I do not recommend.

This gym is a joke. From the owner not reinvesting any of its profits, to the staff's downright laziness. There's a fan in the gym that is literally a hanging on by a zip-tie. The only cleaning that gets done is by a 80 year-old-man who, bless his heart, has to mop the entire gym down by himself. Save your time, money, and energy. Go somewhere else.

I purchased all day pass for 20$ since I was traveling from out of town.While this is older equipment classic style, it worked very smooth and I had a great classic style full body workout !Haley, one of staff personnel was friendly and helpful in all needs I had Cool classic place in my opinion.😀

I called Gold's Gym in Fort Walton Beach to cancel my membership and was told that with a 30-day notice, I wouldn’t be charged a cancellation fee. Despite following this process, I was charged $80. When I called to resolve the issue, I was told I had received incorrect information, but nothing could be done. I was never emailed a copy of my contract, which is why I spoke with someone for six minutes, to confirm the cancellation terms. While I’ve otherwise had positive experiences at the gym and with its staff, it’s disappointing that they wouldn’t take responsibility for this miscommunication.

When will the door ever be fixed. I just went in used the bathroom. Forgot my water outside. And now the door won't open. After I scanned my barcode at least 50 times.

This gym has declined steadily for the last couple years. They added 6 new half power racks as their solution for renovation and jacked monthly dues up to compensate, but offers nothing more than average local gyms. There are no actual bench press stations (only the aforementioned power racks that aren't full power racks with adjustable benches). Their leg equipment is limited, no actual hack squat only a v-squat and 2 leg presses. Equipment will be broken and remain broken for months. I've reported issues with stairmasters which weren't addressed for several months.

There is a stark and clear difference between the Miramar location and the Fort Walton location. The Miramar location sports much better equipment and has additional amenities that are not offered at Fort Walton.

The front door malfunctions on almost a weekly basis at fort Walton and affects 24/7 access and they will NOT reimburse for days it's broken. I was told "Cox internet doesn't reimburse you if the internet is out and the power company doesn't either". Cox does in fact reimburse for outages if you file a report and you can't be charged if your power is out. Poor customer service was the nail in the coffin for me, Hardbody is almost HALF the price now with better equipment and working doors.

I love traveling and visiting different gyms and I’m a powerlifter so I need minimal equipment when I lift. Which this gym does have everything I need but the equipment they have seem to be run down and needs updating. This place says they support veterans but does not offer a military discount especially for ones getting a day or week pass. Speaking of day and week passes, $20 is pretty standard for a day pass but I can’t get over that my gym back home has way more equipment, a more modern and newer and cleaner environment and with other amenities that only costs me $25/month for. Not to mention the week pass here is $70. That’s quite steep for a week pass… if it wasn’t for the fact that this is the only place open before 7 am I would not be coming here. If you don’t need an early morning workout, tbh you’re better off finding a different gym.

I’ve been to bad gyms, but this one takes the cake for worse. It’s like a rummage sale of equipment. They bought new dumbbells but didn’t get new racks, so the weights don’t match their spots. Most of the equipment is old, but since it still works, it’s kept in use. The new equipment, however, is cheap and already broken.

it's small and cramped, and a wall runs through the middle, making the layout terrible. What is within their control, though, is cleanliness. It doesn’t look like anyone is cleaning, and frankly, I’m surprised this gym is still open.

I had a free day pass and I own a vacation home in Fort Walton Beach. I walked in and nobody was working the front desk so I started my workout. The manager approached me in the middle of my workout to tell me that the day pass was for Fort Walton residents only and you have to have a valid Florida ID. I told him I was a property owner in Fort Walton but he REFUSED to honor the pass. He said it would be $20 for a day pass. I have never been treated so rudely in my 20 years of visiting Gold's Gym's. I laughed at him about the $20 day pass. This is probably one if the worst Gold's Gym facilities I have ever been in. It is dirty, run down and at 5:00 p.m. the place was empty. I had every intention of purchasing a 2-week pass while I was in town because it is the ONLY Gym. I can see why this place doesn't have a lot of business if it treats people the way I was treated.

This place is extremely dirty,dust bunnies are all over the floor, making it hard to do any stretching on the floor and in the men’s bathroom specifically, there is probably a years worth of dust on the fan blades, which are easy to reach.

Katlyn is fabulous. Karen is great. The instructors are great. The group exercise room is in need of some updates. AC is not the best and the room is constantly being used for storage. On demand is very iffy if it will work. Mats are old and dirty. Hand weights all seem to migrate out of the room. Seems like the group exercise is the red headed step child of the gym. I don’t use it now, but it looks like all the money goes to the weight room.

it is the worst place. do not go . I have been charged for two months and annuity memberships. I went twice with the owner, who never did the cancellation process and continues to unfairly charge me memberships and annuities... the owner or manager is not qualified since he does not use the computer and even if I explained twice that I would move from the city and I wanted to cancel everything and unlink my card, he did not do the process. It makes me angry because I work very hard and that money supports my family and if I had to pay a lawyer for this embezzlement, I would. I clearly told him to cancel everything and he didn't. and now my money is not returned. Please, there are other gyms in the area. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. IT IS THE WORST OF ALL AND ITS OWNERS ARE INCOMPETENT.

I went to this Golds for 1 month and 2 months at the Destin location. This one has much better locker rooms but that’s where it ends. The space is smaller so you have to angle yourself around equipment in the walkways, none of the kettle bells are labeled and the equipment seemed in rough shape. One of the bar racks has a rubber puddle in front of it where they had been fixing the floor for about 2 weeks instead of just fixing it properly. Half of the time they didn’t have the small towels. Parking lot is difficult to get in/out of but it is a gym so there’s that.

I live in FWB for a few months out of the year. Bob was so accommodating and kind offering the best pass and rate during my visit. I was not able to get a membership during this visit due to my long working schedule. But will definitely come back and do a monthly pass next time I’m here. The gym was clean with many group glasses to choose from. I couldn’t say enough about Bob. The gym was kind of small, I was just in town on vacation and wanted to work out for the week. They had a weekly plan which was awesome. But the best part was the young lady working the front desk. She lied to me and to my husband. I didn’t want to talk with her and asked to talk with the owner, but she said that she is owner (which was not true). I was in the gym many times and I tried to cancel my member ship but she was still charging my card 2 times in one month. I asked to speak with the owner again on the cancel papers. I was waiting 3 weeks, but he didn’t call. When I called her and asked why he didn’t call me, she just said that he won’t and she hung up on me. The childcare is one of the only in the area and they actually care about the kids here. My child never wants to leave. They offer a wide range of classes and have trainers who will help you reach your goals. I have had nothing but good experiences here and would strongly recommend this gym.

Lots of equipment, but packed in a small space. Everything seemed clean and organized. You will feel at home weither lifting or running on a treadmill. Nice cardio room, and with the bonus of a heavybag.

Im here with work for 45 days. I called beforehand and was told to come in and try the gym with a 7day pass.
I show up today and the lady at the front desk would not allow me to utilize 7day pass since I'm not local. However, she was glad to offer me weekly at $40 or montly $80(after taxes).
I may have considered but after they went back on the pass to see if I even liked the gym Ill go somewhere else.
That was shady.
