Best gym in Destin. I visited a few gyms in the area. This gym offers classes,new equipment,fresh environment, showers and towel service. A mixed crowd of old and young people,(I found in another gym I visited was 95% seniors). And at a beautiful location in grand sandestin at a shopping mall,top floor with views. A little pricey at $90 but I justify this because of the classes. Other fitness fees are twice as much for yoga/fit studios. Very happy with my choice.

The gym is really nice, not too crowded at all! Just moved here with my family and the gym is really motivating! Very friendly people go here, everyone is very nice and welcoming!

The daycare is awesome! We were really nervous to let anyone watch our daughter but the day care does an awesome job at making us feel comfortable and they show lots of care for the kids! They are very inclusive with kids to have fun and always ask to make sure they are okay and are having fun!

We absolutely love Grand Fitness, especially because they provide childcare! As a first time mom, I’ve been trying to bounce back, but it was so hard for me to leave my baby at first. The staff here made it possible for my husband and me to enjoy some much-needed workouts, knowing our daughter was in great hands. She’s always smiling (or napping from having too much fun) when we pick her up!
We’re so sad to be leaving soon and truly wish we could take all the incredible daycare workers with us. Carmen is usually there, and she is so patient, kind, and wonderful with the kids. I’d recommend Grand Fitness 1000%!

I would not recommend this gym to any family in the 30A area, best for singles. The space is very nice, newer machines and weights, but so small. The childcare staff seemed nice, but untrained and unprepared for a room full of a variety ages of kids . Too small of space for too many children can be unsafe and suffocating. My toddler boys didn’t do well their first day, and I don’t agree with their behavior. However, the staff made the decision for them not to be able to come back to the childcare area. I understand policies very well and respect them for why they are laid out however I also think there should been a second chance given and more training on the childcare workers end, it seems ,because they couldn’t handle the number of children that was in the tiny small room provided for childcare. We will be looking for a gym with a bigger childcare area and with more experienced staff.

Nice facility. Clean. Adequate equipment -- cardio, free weights, body party specific weight machines. Also have group fitness for those interested. Locker room is ok - a little warm. They have a small infrared sauna. Plenty of showers although my shower head could have been better and water pressure was low. Overall good experience.

We had a great experience working out here over our time in Miramar. Della was amazing and the place was spotless. Equipment was up to date and plenty of room to get in a good workout without getting in other people’s way. We will definitely return here on our next visit.We highly recommend!

I didn’t sign up to renew my membership. They won’t cancel my new “membership”. I don’t live in the area anymore and the manager won’t call back no matter how many times I call or email. I keep getting charged $90 monthly.

I was not going to leave a review but after reading others I thought that I should share my experience as well. I signed up for a yearly family membership which expired the end of January or at least I thought. I contacted the gym on January the 29th and was informed I needed to sign a cancelation notice. I asked to please Email me the notice and I would be glad to sign. The email was never sent. On February 1st My debit card was charged. I called that Afternoon and was informed I needed to speak to the manager. I left several messages from February 1st through February the 6th. When the manager did call she informed me that my Family membership was A re occurring membership and automatically renewed.. Stating that it was in the contract that I signed. I told her that it was never expressed to me verbally that I was signing a reoccurring membership. When I did my contract last year I was asked if I wanted to do a month- to-month or a yearly contract which would save me 10%. I agreed to the yearly contract at 10% savings. It was never stated at any time that it would be a reoccurring membership and would automatically renew at the end of the 1st year. The past few days have been a total nightmare trying to get this canceled. Be careful and choose a gymn that values people and not the bottom line.

My boyfriend and I did a weekly membership while we were in Destin on vacation, and we absolutely loved this gym. They open at 5am for the early risers like myself, and the facility is extremely clean and well organized. They had every piece of equipment we needed and more.

Sheila helped us get signed in, learned our names, was so welcoming, and made us feel right at home. She made the experience even more enjoyable and easy.

I would highly recommend this gym if you are in the area or just passing through!

Extremely rude staff. Glad I read the reviews because I thought it was just me. When you ask them a question, they act so inconvenienced. This facility looks very nice, clean equipment, did not look busy at all. However, it is NOT very accommodating to business travelers.

Communication with the staff seems to be different when speaking to different employees as I was told that I could receive a three day pass when I stopped in the night before to fill out paperwork and to check the gym out.

I show up at 5 AM the next morning to be informed that I do not get a three day pass. On a sidenote, the employee did tell me that I can sign up for a month with my credit card for $110.00 and let them know by the 27th that I would not use it for the next month so that they would not charge my card. My assumption is that that they hope you forget to tell them by the 27th so that they can charge your card again. When a person gets busy this is highly likely. Great business capture, terrible customer service. However I only need it for two weeks and would have gladly paid cash for that time. By the way, they don’t take cash.

Of course, this was my experience and I’m sure there are others that had a pleasant experience with this establishment. But a person that travels around the world for work and looks forward to finding a nice place to workout, it’s unfortunate there are places like this that can’t look beyond their corporate rules and do what they can to accommodate a customer. To me I’d rather work out at a hole in the wall gym that is all about accommodating their people than to be at a state of the art fitness facility that is just about their rules and making money. This was one of the worst experiences that I have been to, in regards to making the customer happy.

This facility is Awesome! I started working out with a trainer here and lost 25lbs and 6 dress sizes in 6 months. I thought I knew how to work out until I hired a professional lol. Best investment ever!

There childcare area and staff far exceed anything I've seen in the area. They treat my son like family.

In addition, they have exceptional equipment, plenty of space, great customer service, tons of cardio machine options and so many classes with energetic instructors to choose from so I can switch up my routine any time I need to. I highly recommend this gym.

This is a great gym in a great location. They for is open and even during their busy time it doesn't seem crowded. There are plenty of classes for just about any fitness preference or goal. There are 2 things that keep it from being 5 star. I wish they had better hours on the weekend or even 24 hour access since there are so many people in the area with unconventional schedules through the tourist industry and health care. The other thing is the price. It is a little high but they do offer a lot and it's not unreasonable just more towards the upper end of what I would pay for a gym.

Beautiful and well equipped facility - it’s on the second floor so park around back to enter. Hammer Strength, free weights above 100lbs, lots of cardio equipment, and as someone who’s been to a lot of gyms, one of the cleanest I’ve been in! More like a private club- kudos to the owners! They also have classes including Spinning, aerobics and yoga. They sell a one day or one week pass if you’re visiting -well worth the price-I’ll be back

I can't really find anything to complain about here, it's expensive, but it's not like they hide that fact from you. $110 per month with a $50 sign up fee every time you start or restart a contract. It would be nice if they had the option to not auto renew contracts. The clientele consists of mostly baby boomers. Overall it's a beautiful, big, open space with great equipment and staff, the best gym in the area if you can afford it.

I had the worst experience at Grand Fitness recently. The contract they have is a total shame. I absolutely recommend NOT signing one with them and opt to pay per time instead. Getting out of the contract is a NIGHTMARE (certain number of days before, they are hard to work with, etc, etc.) and requires you to sign ANOTHER contract. I'm not joking. I never bash businesses online, but my limit is when businesses take advantage of consumers. I didn't head a friend's warning before joining so now want to "pay it forward" and share to prevent any headaches (as my credit card is charged $722 for a gym I haven't used since July 2017). Something is off with the owners for sure or they don't realize what a small area this is! "Customers come first" is NOT there slogan. Love the trainers there , but not worth the annual headache. Buyer Beware!!
