A small but intimate gym. I go to Laura Morgan. She is an degered traineer who creates a workout program to meet your specific needs. She makes sure you use proper form and technique to get the maximum benefit from the exercise and to prevent injury. The rest of staff is friendly and professional.

Laura and Archie's program is awesome! My son Hutch started just before football started about 3 months ago, the results have been incredible to say the least. Hutch is one of the smaller kids on the team, but watching him on the field this year that doesn't matter at all. I'm very grateful I found Gulf Coast Performance for the future development of my son.

I started working with Laura in late March 2021 because of a strained Plantaris tendon/muscle. She was watching the tennis tournament I was playing in and told me she could "fix" the problem. She did exactly that, and I was back on the court in a week. Because I had rehabbed an inflamed bicep tendon a year earlier, I finally admitted to myself that it was time to get my body back in shape. I chose to continue working with Laura because I have known her for many years, because she is very knowledgeable, and because she is also a tennis player.
In our second training session, I told Laura about my wife's diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. Laura said she could definitely help my wife with her movement issues by working to make her stronger, by improving the neuromuscular pathways, and by recruiting more muscles for each movement. My wife, also a tennis player, and I immediately began working together with Laura on tailored programs to help each of us achieve our goals. We did three days a week of onsite training while also going through a daily warmup and muscle activation routine.
In a very short period of time, I was feeling a big difference in my movement and strength. The people I played tennis with noticed it, too. Men's bodies have the advantage of responding more quickly to training, but my wife has also noticed much improvement in her mobility and strength. I have seen a large improvement in the way she walks and moves on the tennis court.
After working with Laura for two months, it was time for us snowbirds to head back north. Laura did some research for us to find a trainer near our home, but we ultimately decided that we liked working with her too much to try someone else. We now work with her remotely. We still do our daily warmup/activation and have three days of workouts per week. Laura designs our workouts to use equipment that we already had, with a few minor additions.
We also periodically talk with Laura on the phone to review our progress and ask questions. We also send videos of ourselves so that Laura can critique our form. (As she has taught us, form is everything.) Laura has also helped us with other issues, such as nutrition, hydration, and post-workout recovery.
We highly recommend Laura and Gulf Coast Performance. You will be very impressed with her knowledge and will find her a pleasure to work with.

It has been almost a year of training with Arch and Laura and I can feel a definite difference in my strength. I love that that are both very in tune with issues/ injuries I have and creating work out solutions to help me get stronger. I would highly recommend them both!

Have worked out with a few personal trainers over the years but ecstatic to have found Gulf Coast Performance where I plan to stay as long as I am working out. Archy and Laura are awesome people and extremely knowledgeable trainers. Each workout is tailored to the individual's goals and take into account any issues you may have. It's not just a workout they provide it's strategic stretching and building muscle. I have worked out with them for almost 2 years and am way stronger today then I was 7+ years ago.

GCP, with Laura and Arch, has been my most rewarding activity of the last year! They are young and motivated themselves, with a high level of responsibility and professionalism. I have had past knee injuries and with their guidance, I am stronger and more fit than I have been in my adult life. Their training program has helped me prevent further injuries and gain a much higher level of fitness for energy and a healthy lifestyle. It’s awesome! Their classes are firm but fun, their education is apparent as they guide for proper form and safety. They push, but with the encouragement of setting goals AND reaching them. I would HIGHLY recommend their training to anyone from high school/college athlete to adults looking for a healthy functional level of fitness. Worth every penny!!

I can’t imagine weight training without the professionals at GCP.
I believe that a minor adjustment can make the difference between injury and building strength.
Archy listens to what my goals are and constantly mixes up my routine to ensure that I am challenged. I can feel my strength building and see the results of my efforts. My yoga practice has also blossomed as I can now hold poses that in the past I was not strong enough to execute.
My workouts are truly the hardest and most rewarding part of my week. It’s not easy but surprisingly we laugh a lot and I feel amazing EVERY time I leave the gym.

Archy & Laura are awesome!!! My son, who is 14, has been training with them for 5 weeks and he has made great progress both in his strength and also speed & agility. They are very attentive & knowledgeable and make sure that the kids use the correct form in their workouts which is so important and will help prevent injuries further down the line.
I would highly recommend Archy & Laura’s training programs for your son or daughter who want to improve their fitness in a fun, safe environment.

Both my daughters participate in the Summer and Strength program. Each daughter is at a different level in their strength and conditioning. Coach Arch and Coach Laura train, motivate and challenge each daughter in a manner that fits their individual fitness goals. Both my daughters look forward to class to see what new and challenging exercises are on the schedule. We couldn’t be more pleased with the program. Highly recommend whether the goal is athletic training or staying healthy.

My 14 year old son signed up for weight/strength training. Archie and Laura are true professionals at what they do. Goals are made (and achieved!), each session is planned and organized, and the kids have fun too! The training has drastically improved his power and stamina in his athletics. Both of my kids (ages 12 and 11) have been training with Coach Archy and Laura at GCP for several months and they love it! I’ve noticed a huge jump in their strength, speed, and overall athletic ability since they started. My son plays football, and my daughter plays lacrosse. I feel that GCP helps prepare them for the rigors of those sports, and gives them a competitive edge. In addition, you get the satisfaction of knowing that your children are doing something that will help bolster their confidence, as well as their overall physical health. Archy has been working with our baseball team for 5 weeks and has done an outstanding job. Archy has been working with me and also my 9yr old son who plays travel basketball, Under Armor Football and runs a 5k under 7min/mile pace. I cycle including road, mountain and gravel as well as run. Most of our races are short and fast or adventure type triathlons Up North. Archy's focus on body dynamics and proper lifting technique goes waaay beyond average trainers who tell you about your "form." Archy knows his stuff when it comes to speed and strength training. He can help you or your child get to the next level and then the next level after that. I'm sure he helps average people loose weight and get in shape but if you are an athlete, Gulf Coast Performance is where you need to be!
