My daughter absolutely loves coming here, and one of her instructors is truly fantastic…attentive, encouraging, and actually takes the time to teach proper technique. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff doesn’t seem nearly as invested. Most of the time, the kids are left to tumble around with little to no instruction or guidance. I don’t pay for a babysitter when I’m sitting right here. I could take her to Just Jump for that. On top of that, the facility is filthy. The viewing glass hasn’t been cleaned since we started. It’s smudged, grimy, and just plain gross. It’s frustrating as a parent, but since my daughter is happy, we’re sticking it out…for now.

Pics are of the glass smudges.

Great teachers that are more into letting the kids enjoy themselves well they learn.

The after school van drivers love to block traffic at Bay Haven school. If you blow your horn because you can't get around them they will flip a parent off, while wearing a jacket with the cross on it. I wonder how they treat the children they are teaching.

The owners are fair and responsive and seem like very good people. However, if you are looking for your child to gain skills, improve, build confidence, and move forward in their growth and development, this is not the place for you.

Unfortunately, many of the coaches are uninvolved with the children throughout the entire hour-long lesson. They aren't paying attention, they do not seem to know one child from the next, I have seen classes begin 20 minutes late, there is no structure, no apparent tracking of how children are doing so that they can improve. Honestly, I have watched multiple classes during which a class of say, 8 children will have 5 or 6 of the children never even acknowledged. I have often wondered how they have avoided any injuries, thus far.

Perhaps for little ones who want to get their wiggles out, this is a good option, but if your child is genuinely trying to become better, go elsewhere. We very recently tried another local studio and it was so superior--and for roughly the same cost--that I have literally been depressed about how much time I allowed to be robbed from my daughter when she could have been improving.

Again, the owners are very nice and fair and for younger children or birthday parties, this may be a very good place to go.

I am disappointed that we had to pull our daughter from Gymnastics Plus. We had her in the Tiny Tots class for ages 3-5. The coaches are AMAZING! (Which is the reason I am giving them two stars instead of one.) My daughter loved Coach Rose. They seem to know that these classes are full of small kids and toddlers. However, the front desk lady could benefit from re-learning how to interact with children of that age as well as some lessons in customer service. It was my daughter's second class and her dad came to watch her for the first time, she was beyond excited to have us both there to cheer her on! She would run to us inside from time to time to get her water and to get encouragement from us as this was her first class like this. All of the other children were doing the same thing as well. But the front desk woman approached my child and singled her out for coming out to us and told her that she needed to stop running over to us and "distracting," the class. (Esentially not allowing her to get her water bottle..which is never okay.) She didn't get down on her level and was very abrasive in repremanding her. My daughter immediately started crying and came running over to us. The next week my daughter refused to even join her class because she was so terrified of the front desk woman. The woman also continued to interupt their classes because the kids weren't doing every obstacle in a perfect line and would tell the coaches that they needed to be corrected. (Which seemed more distracting than the kids having fun?) They are TODDLERS. Of course they are going to run around and skip a few or do the one they like a few times in a row. After 45 minutes of trying everything to get my daughter to re-join her class we decided to this wasn't good for us anymore. We approached the front desk woman and told her we no longer wanted to participate and to remove us from the class. When she asked why and we told her, she claimed I was wrong, and that she did try to get down on my daughter's level and encourage her to join her class the week prior. Which was a bold face lie. Even though my husband and the parents of the other children saw the whole thing as well and talked with me about it. She apologized to my husband and I but never apologized to my child. She didn't seem to care. We felt like another payment or cash grab and not customers. After talking with other parents and friends who have children in her classes, it seems as though I am not the only one who has had rude encounters with her.

Went for preschool Jam. You would think since they are hosting small children they would clean up a bit. There were choking hazards all over. Rubber bands, wrappers, Bobby pin. We were one of the first people in as well when they opened so I know it didn’t just happen. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because my little one did enjoy it.

Finally pulling my daughter from baby bears!!! Been trying so hard to stay but after a year of the same events over and over we can not do it anymore. The class is typically like 6 kids but then it’s suddenly 19 kids (my husband counted). This happens constantly. They rarely have the same teacher which isn’t surprising when they pay the girls 2-3$ less than the boys who work there. After a years there’s no advancement in skills as it’s just the same thing over and over with a different theme every two weeks. My daughter gets wayyyyyyyyy more out of open gym than the class.

I’ve had a few of my daughters bday parties at GP in the past and they were a good value, decent service.. today’s birthday we had Bradley as our gym party helper & he was unbelievable! I didn’t have to chase him down for help with set up, food/cake distribution, etc. he always had initiative to check and ask if I needed help and what he could do for our guests. The kids had SO MUCH fun, he actually interacted with them all and made every child feel special giving them all attention doing different things around the gym with them all. He even showed off his own skills for the kids & had every one of us blown away! Thanks for all of your hard work today! Also should mention the facility was in great condition too, so many improvements made and all of us parents noticed.

Great teachers and good atmosphere to watch your kids (or yourself) learn Gymnastics. My daughter is 7 and has thoroughly enjoyed it, and she gets better and better every week. They go by a tried and true process and let's them learn at their own pace. Great place!

The place is fun, the staff is great. The only issue is that it gets really hot inside the building during the summer and for some reason, a lot of kids that come regularly get sick a lot.

**EDIT Sept 5, 2017: I did end up enrolling my son and he has really enjoyed it. My initial review was based off a first impression - which wasn't a fair judgement in the end. I edited the review, but left details I felt were helpful. There are improvements I feel could definitely be made to the facility, but the staff is friendly and supportive - I haven't regretted my decision. Below is my altered review:

The Ninja class itself consisted of the students warming up for roughly 10 minutes with about 40 minutes of participating in activities; the other 10 minutes were allotted to the initial/end part of class (i.e. gathering students and talking to them) as well as moving from once place to another.

During the class the students practiced jumping over a balance beam for the first 10 minutes or so, then took turns navigating an obstacle course that was set up by the instructors for about 20 minutes. Finally they used the trampoline to jump and attempt flips and tricks.

I never felt like my child was being neglected. The instructor gave tips to the kids and showed approval. In the words of the staff, the class isn't a super structured, regimented class; it is more for the students to build confidence, have fun, and burn off some energy. My son had a blast and wants to go back, so he would give it 5-stars. I wouldn't expect him to come out as a gymnast but he would, no doubt, learn body control and awareness.

An excellent After School and Summer Program. Definitely a place where kids can be kids. When your child says "please don't pick me up early" you know you have chosen the right place.
Update - 7-12-17 - we recently had grandson's birthday party here. Best bang for your buck in Panama City where kids birthday parties are concerned. Ms. Leah was the best hostess!

My kiddo has recently joined the Baby Bears class and is loving it! He has improved already in the few weeks he has attended with the help of the awesome staff, who are friendly and knowledgeable. I love that my child has a place to play and explore in a safe, welcoming environment. His teacher already knows his name and is encouraging with high fives and positive words! Can't wait to see what the rest of this summer will bring!

We went for the free trial twice.my son did the ninja class and my daughter did level one. Both didnt hardly do anything and spent alot of time waiting in line and standing around.my daughter spent 20 minutes standing in place doing cart wheels and another 10 minutes doing hand stands against a wall which she could do at home. My son spent 25 minutes twice near the balance beam and only walked across it once and then just ran around the beam and rolled around on the floor doing whatever he wanted to while the other kids ran around .both teachers r 17 and i dont think they know what they r doing.

The kids are not taught anything here, the facility basically just let the kids run around and do whatever they want. The facility itself is pretty dirty and run down and the bathrooms are not even remotely clean. I would consider going almost anywhere else for what this place charges per month.

Wednesday's open play for an hr and a half for $6 is worth every penny. Great place for kids & parents to burn off energy. Parents get as much of a workout as the kids. City location is HUGE and has tons to do. Kids get hand stamped and a lollipop on their way out making leaving a breeze. Very well thought out. We go every week without fail. Wish they had toddler playtime during other days in the afternoon.

This has been by far the biggest mistake we have made when it comes to who we trust with our children. My child attended this facility during the school year. While she attended here it was a nigh mare. There are children that hang around the office sometimes without any adult around for a good several minutes. Any one could walk out with your child if they wanted to. They did not ID me the 1st time I went to pick my child up but took my word that I was her mother. I could have been anyone. For the first couple of weeks my child was bullied, nothing was done with it I was never giving a letter anytime she was hurt a little girl once gave her an Indian burn or hit her yet a teacher never told me although my daughter told them I should not have had to ask. I once arrived early to pick my child up and I pulled in next to a man who took their regular SUV to pick kids up, There were more kids then seatbelts that jumped out of the back seat. I'm sorry if I found out my daughter was riding around like that I would not have been a happy camper that is not safe. I told them she was to do homework every day it was even documented below her name on the sign in sheet yet her homework was never completed. We talked to the administrator hoping to work through this issue because our child loved that she was able to do gymnastics which wasn't even allowed to her every week as they state. Towards the end of the year my child who is (7) came home talking about SEX what it was and who was doing it and what was seen,... yes seen at 7 years old ect ect I was livid and heartbroken her innocents stolen not long after that nightmare she came into my room and was afraid because they were also doing the "Charlie challenge" kids new age summons of the dead..... All of this came from the daycare. I know that no one can control what things are said but this is not a daycare, this is a company trying to make a hustle for more money. They have more kids then they can watch and they do not work with them if the teachers (who are a bunch of high school kids) were actually doing their job and finding ways to keep the kids busy with projects and activities maybe my daughter wouldn't have been exposed to sex and evil at a young age and we wouldn't have to go through what we are now having to go through now at 7 years old. This is a sad example of child care. Your children are not safe here they are not closely watched nor worked with. The gymnastic class they sell you on will teach your child to only do a cart wheel. Its extremely filthily and for what is paid I should be able to trust that my child is safe. I honestly wish we would have pulled my child out a lot sooner for her protection then the well feed story of "ill take care of it" The other lady said it right if you care about your child's well being you wont send her here. Its a pretty wrapping paper but once you're on the inside, you notice how ugly the box really is.
