Very accommodating gym. Theres quite a few like minded individuals in that they go in, put in work and leave. No drama, most everyone shares the equipment and cleans after then. Just like any gym, there are those few who think and act like they are the best at 'gyming', but very few go here. Mix of all ages. The owners are good people and haven't overwhelmed the gym with rules, making it a comfortable place to get a good work out in. Plenty of equipment for every style as well.

A great find in Ft Myers for vacationers looking for a well equipped cardio/lifting gym. They offer daily and weekly passes that are budget friendly without requiring a membership sign up to train here. The management staff were very friendly, welcoming, and they even checked in via txt on a holiday to ensure I had no trouble entering and getting access into the facility.

I’m here in Fort Myers Florida for the Thanksgiving week from Indianapolis Indiana and needed to find a gym to lift so that I don’t miss out on my gym time, but I needed the gym to be more for heavy lifting and after some research, I found Hammerhead Gym (Cape Coral) and I was impressed as soon as I walked through the door.

I love the layout and I love the equipment. This gym had everything I need while here in town for a couple days.

This gym also has some amazing gym shirts and it’s a must I make a purchase before returning home. I love the Shark logo on the shirt.

I like this gym as it's walking distance from my office, it's got decent equipment and it's 24 hours. However it's hard to get over the fact that the owner (or who I'm guessing is the owner) brings his dog in that is constantly doing it's business on the floor. Pee is one thing but nobody wants to step in dog poop barefoot in the locker room. IT'S GROSS!
Other than that it would be great!

Edit with pics 9/22/25: Again had to watch my step today getting out of the shower. Not as clean as everyone says.

Nice, fancy gym with all sorts of machines to work out. If you're looking for treadmills, bench presses, or weight machines, Hammerhead Gym has them all. It also usually tends to not be crowded at all. Hammerhead Gym is worth the membership for sure.

Good gym, well kept, tidy, all the equipment and attachments were all where they should have been, decent - actually really decent array of machines and free weights. Free towels for wiping down, not much to fault... I went at 6am so was quiet but much quieter than aim used to in the UK at that time. I have been working with a trainer(Josie) at Hammerhead for about 4 weeks. She has been patient and has been very intentional about the specifics of each exercise. Definitely skeptical of globo gyms, after leaving my previous gym due to high cost, i am very happily surprised by the equipment and facility. Plenty of awesome equipment and areas, I highly recommend for short or long term fitness needs. I will give 2 thumbs up!!! I didn’t expect lockers and showers, aside from extensive equipment. I was surprised on how much equipment was available also that all of the equipment was clean, functional nothing out of service. Mixture of free weights and machines. The atmosphere reminds me of what gyms use to be in the past. Nothing you don't need and everything you do is here. The age group of people i saw today was from mid 20is to 70ish. Everyone was polite,and cleaned up after themselves. Cleaning supplies were plentiful and all around.

I had to face it, I was really out of shape and had become a bit of a slug. But even worse I felt like crap all the time. I'm 65 years old but felt like I was 80. I had periods in my life where I went to the gym but I always felt like it was out of my comfort zone and avoided it. So I finally mustered up the courage and went into Hammerhead. Not only that, I decided to get help from one of their amazing trainers and I started working with Josie. She immediately put me at ease, worked within my physical abilities and pushed me to do things I had never done, particularly with free weights. And she always remaied positive even when she's was kicking my ass, lol. She showed me on what days to do certain exercises and how to do them. I'm now on the right path to working out on my own and I go to the gym 4-5 days a week. Needless to say, the place and Josie have changed my life.

Just moved to the Cape and tried out almost every gym before committing to this one. The classes are great, the staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, and there’s 24/7 code access. I was displaced here due to hurricane helene, and Josie went out of her way to make me feel welcome and really put out that community gym vibe I was looking for! This gym has everything you need to get your body where you want it to be!

P.S. This gym also does CrossFit, and Taylor was such a patient and informative trainer. I would highly recommend her to help you reach your fitness goals!

I paid the full month amount today 10/30 and they’re telling me now my membership is only valid until the 13th of October when that’s not what is says online it says it’s for a month. I wanted to refund and was told I just have to wait for a manager. Then they said they won’t refund me and the owner called me a theif because I didn’t know my membership wasn’t previously active even though I paid $20 day passes for those days that my membership wasn’t active. Recently moved back to cape coral and as a seasoned gym rat, I am very impressed. Hammerhead is marketed as a crossfit gym but genuinely caters to all fitness journeys. Literally just finished my 1st workout here and I loved it. It's a serious gym with a family feel to it. It's super clean and well maintained. The employees were nice and welcoming. The people who were working out seemed focused and glad to be there. Lot's of great equipment from crossfit and freeweights to exercise machines and cardio (they have arc trainers which I love). All the equipment was heavy duty and well maintained. This is not a fancy nightclub style gym with 10 ppl waiting to do the same exercise and I love that. I am a new member at the gym. I have to say the gym is great. It’s always clean, especially the locker rooms. Has great amenities. Weights are always stacked and clean. The 24hr access with Bluetooth entry is absolutely great.

I dropped in for a week from out of town and really enjoyed the facilities. The gym is kept clean, there is plenty of equipment, and the staff was all very welcoming. The 24 hour access is a great perk as well!

I was in town just for a few days and the day pass was reasonably priced and easy to get. I loved that they had barbell squat racks and benches. Sometimes it's hard to find places that offer anything other than smith machines without having to sign up for a membership, so having a place I can dip into when visiting relatives is a godsend.

The gym wasn't too crowded and I didn't have to wait for any of the equipment to be free, granted, I went around 1pm on a weekday.

Decent little 24/7 gym here. Don’t know what ‘peak’ hours looks like, but lifting at 3am has me in there by myself… The equipment is a bit dated and some pieces look ancient, however if you know what you’re doing there’s ample selection and you’ll get an awesome workout. I’ll probably be joining after I grow tired of my current membership. 4/5!

I almost don’t wanna say anything because I like my quiet gym the way it is, but so far my experience here has been as close to flawless as humanly possible. Plenty of machines and plenty of them are ready to be used. They offer a variety of cold beverages for sale and a comprehensive body composition measurement device. They are starting to have some in-gym classes as well. And that’s before we even get into the staff, I have been working with one of their personal trainers Tom with a rather aggressive weight loss goal and his straightforward and practiced approach to coaching me has exceeded my expectations to achieving it. If the other staff are anything like Tom then they are affable, knowledgeable, and positively motivated to help you achieve your fitness goals. A well-deserved five star review.

This place is exactly what I needed! It’s big and clean and has all the equipment I need in a gym. I love that they have tons of mirrors and space to do different activities. I feel safe with the keypad lock especially with it being open 24/7. The staff is beyond amazing!! It’s worth the drive over the bridge from Fort Myers. I miss the Hammerhead on FMB and always will but this is a great upgrade!
