8/19/25- since the hid won’t let me post a second review I just have to improvise:). Thank you coach Makayla for helping my daughter today the minute she broke down crying you reassured her it’s ok and went back to having find and learning. Now she wants to go everyday:).

Today was the first day with my 3 years old daughter! The staffs are incredibly supportive and all the patience in the world to deal with her age group! Thank you for today and we can’t wait to come back.

My son was interested in gymnastics and was able to trial three different classes to decide which one he wanted to join. I was so impressed by every single one of the coaches. They are so friendly with the kids and were extremely kind and patient with my son. I was absolutely blown away by their staff and my son loved all the coaches he interacted with. My daughter has been attending Horizon since she was in Parent & Tot at the age of 2. She is currently 6 years old and a Level 3 gymnast, she also competes Trampoline & Tumbling. Horizon is a family focused gymnastics academy with parent that used to go here as children, now has their own children attending. The coaches genuinely care about the students. They do enforce the mask policy for parents and staff only which is something I truly appreciate and have found has been affective for their gym. They constantly are cleaning and sanitizing which shows they truly care about the wellbeing of the students. I wouldn't go to any other gym!!

My daughters have been students at Horizon Gymnastics since 2017. They have learned so much during this time and have been competing competitively for the last two years. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond to help my daughters become stronger gymnasts. We love Horizon and would recommend this gym to anyone searching for a great place to do gymnastics.

We moved to FL 2 years ago and came to try Horizon on the recommendation from her previous gymnastics place. My daughter has been on the competitive team for 2 years now. I can not give enough credit and shout outs to her coaches over our time at Horizon.

They are kind, supportive, and go about their busy evenings to answer any questions, support athletes on the floor, and keep practice fun for the kids.

We moved from Illinois to Florida a couple years ago with two competitive gymnasts. Coach Shelly and her team welcomed our daughters with open arms. I practiced gymnastics for 5+ years under Shelly at Horizon Gymnastics. These were some of the best years of my childhood. I got to compete in the junior Olympics which I wouldn't have had the opportunity to do without the instruction of my amazing coaches at Horizon. Although I am older now, Horizon holds a very special place in my heart. I also made many lifelong friendships during my time at Horizon. I would hands down recommend Horizon Gymnastics-Dance Academy!!

The worst Gymnastics that you can put your child into. most of the time kids are just standing around and not doing anything, you’re literally paying money for them to stand around, it’s Kids teaching kids, there’s no protocols for bullying, the bullied kids are the ones who gets in trouble and threatened by the owner telling Kids that if they complain to their parents, they will get kicked out , Kids get injured left and right because there’s no safety protocols in place. The owner puts anybody and everybody on the team. no matter if they know what to do or not to Her it’s all about money coming in that’s all. My advice to you don’t waste your money a nerves and risk your kid getting injured. There’s better choices nearby for gymnastics gyms.

We absolutely LOVE horizon. Our daughter has been a part of the horizon family since she's 4 years old. Adrianna is currently almost 9. At first Adrianna was very shy and timid. When She was called on, she would just look down and wait for the teacher or coach to move on to someone else. Shy was an understatement. Over time we watched our daughter transform into a confident little girl. She has been involved in competitive gymnastics for 3 years now. We are so proud of all of her accomplishments, and we want to thank horizon for all of the help, love and support.

Our daughter has been in gymnastics since a young age and on a competition team for 5 years. She has been at Horizons for a little over a year.
Rachel in the office is personable, will answer any question and a true gem.
Michelle, Jessica and Olivia are just a few coaches (they have a large group of stellar coaches) that my daughter has mentioned regularly that she truly looks up to and admires.
Not often will you see an owner every night on the floor working with each gymnast, Shelly does! Kathy is her mother who opened the gym decades ago still works with the athletes!
Our daughter just loves going to gym and this last year has brought such a love and confidence we have never seen in her.
You can go to any gym, but Shelly and her team teach so much more for our children. The Horizon team is in their professions for the right reasons. They are making a difference in our children lives by making them strong, kind and confident!

My granddaughter has been taking gymnastics here since she was three years old. She is almost 7 and now takes both gymnastics and cheerleading at Horizon. She also attends their summer camp. She is always excited and eager to go to class. The coaches and staff are the best in the area. The facilities are excellent. The owner goes out of her way to make sure the students and their families are happy. I’m a retired teacher and I highly recommend Horizon.

I brought my son for his first time in the tumble bugs class (3/4 year olds). He was so excited to attend. This was his first experience with gymnastics so I was aware he would need a little more direction. The teacher he started the class with was patient and great at being silly with him. However, when it came time to jump on the trampoline the teacher that came in to assist was very rude to my son. He struggled landing on his bottom instead of legs and he needed a little extra help. She immediately became aggravated with him. She then forcefully would pushed him down while appearing upset with him. She began raising her voice and held up the entire class making a scene with my son. My son (who was completely comfortable before this) then began to almost cry and said “I want my mommy”. Her attitude was very apparent. She let him get off the trampoline and acted as if she didn’t care what he did. I opened the door and my son said he was scared. He continued to say he was scared as we walked out the door. And then told me the teacher was mad at him. Parents, please be aware some of these teachers are not very accommodating to new students. This ultimately became a sad experience for him. I would never bring my son back to this place.

My daughter recently took a liking to gymnastics so we decided to give it a try a couple of years ago. I can speak on recreational gymnastics, the summer camp and even recently a birthday party. ALL of the experiences have been exceptional. I cant say enough good things about this gym. They are kept busy, and staying active while having so much fun at the summer camp. The themed weeks are so fun, and Azaria looked forward to them. They had water day once a week which was nice considering the FL heat, tons of crafts and activities that pertained to the themed week, and even learned some gymnastics skills. Azaria has been attending recreational gymnastics for almost 2 years and has learned SO much. She absolutely loves it, and the coaches are always so kind. The birthday party really was the icing on the cake. The team at Horizon went ABOVE AND BEYOND to host my daughters birthday. They did more than I expected, they decorated, hosted did tons of games and activities with the kids, helped clean up and so much more! The parents did have to wear masks, but no one complained! It was such an awesome birthday party that I know she will never forget! Thank You guys so MUCH. You are all awesome!!!!

We joined the Horizon family 3 years ago and have had nothing but excellent experiences. My daughter is on Horizon’s gymnastics competition team and receives top notch coaching! As a former gymnast, I can say you will not find another gym in southwest Florida like Horizon! All coaches are certified and stay current on all policies of USAG/AAU gymnastics. They attend workshops and continued education classes to provide the best coaching possible to your children. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The gym itself is a clean environment and well equipped to teach from parent and tot to your highest level in gymnastics and T&T! Having several gymnasts advance to college gymnastics you can see Horizon is the gym to achieve all your goals! I did gymnastics at Horizon from about age 3 until I graduated high school at age 18, and it was truly an amazing experience. I was on the competitive team for the majority of my time at Horizon. My teammates and coaches made my time as a gymnast rewarding, challenging, and enjoyable. I was continually encouraged and motivated to learn new things each day, while also having fun! This place was like a second home for me!

This is a wonderful place to bring your kids for gymnastics. If Your kid is jumping, bouncing, flipping all around the house. Horizons gymnastics is the place they need to be. The owners and the trainers are fantastic. The office manager is awesome. The kids get to experience everything from A to z regarding gymnastics. And they even have a performing arts and acting side that they just added with a young lady who has performed along side famous actors and actresses. We have been coming here for about a year now and my daughter has been on tublebugs with Maci and she is my daughters favorite teacher right now. We have had a few different teachers over this past year but with Maci its different I actually feel like she is invested in the progression of my daughter and wants to teach her and make her into the best gymnastic she can. Maci teaches the girls the skills and knows their levels and what to do to push them to the next level. My daughter always has a great time in class and is laughing and smiling

My daughter has been at Horizon for almost 5 years. She started with Ms. Macie in Tumble Bugs. I cannot day enough amazing things about Macie. She is the reason we started at Horizon and she is the reason that my daughter wanted to try the competitive team. Her patience with the tiniest of beginning gymnasts is unmatched. Anyone with a 3 or 4 year old knows how crazy they can be and how short the attention spans are. Macie has the patience of a saint and manages to coach in the midst of occasional chaos. I highly recommend her for your aspiring gymnasts.
Once we moved to the competitive teams, we found that all of the coaching staff is just amazing! My daughter was the youngest on her team and that made me nervous she wouldn’t be able to keep up with the old girls, but the coaches took her age into consideration when addressing her strengths and weaknesses. They don’t treat her any different than the rest of the girls and they push her to give them her best, but they have taken the time to get to know each girl and how each responses to success and failure. We love Horizon and hope to be at the gym for many years to come. Thank you to the entire staff! Each of you have helped shape Gabby into the spunky, crazy, (sometimes lazy), gymnastics loving girl that she is today.

I love this place. The owner has been the owner since the beginning, which is a very long time. She is amazing with kids and making sure her are in the group that Best fits each kid. They were Very rude and would not let me over by my 5 year old son i had to stay across the hole gym and watch him get bullied by a girl who was being mean to him and by the time I got over to him he had already got hurt. I should of been able to at least stand on the side of the place were he was so I could of redirected him before he got hurt.. waste of money to me!
