I’ve been with Coach Alex and Coach Amanda since my freshman year, and I honestly couldn’t imagine my cheer experience without them. Coach Alex always knows how to push us in the right way, she is motivating, detail-oriented, and always pushes us to be our best. Coach Amanda brings so much positivity and constant support to every practice. They balance each other so well, and together they’ve created such a strong, encouraging environment. The environment they have been able to create for my past teammates and I have helped us grow as athletes and individuals. On and off the mat they would always give me advice either if it was about out routine or in our personal lives for our future careers.

I was really looking forward to seeing my daughter perform at an event hosted by Idol but unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff and the master of ceremonies seemed disorganized, even at the ticket entry line. The overall process felt unprofessional, and the event rules were not clearly communicated.

What stood out most was the tone used by staff during announcements. At times it felt almost punitive and condescending, especially when asking people to take their seats. As a parent attending to support my child, it took away from what should have been a positive and exciting moment. I hope future events improve in communication and overall professionalism.

I am an athlete at IDOL and am currently being coached by Coach Alex and Coach Amanda. IDOL became a place that I looked forward to going to everytime I had a practice, camp, ect. The gym has such a positive environment and I gained so many new friends from it. The coaches and staff always make me feel welcome and they always make sure to put their athletes first. IDOL became a second home.

I have had two girls with Idol for the past few years. The first girl that started with them was very shy into herself and when she started to work with Coach Amanda, I was so amazed at how Coach Amanda was able to get her to open up and she became a totally different person which was beautiful (and scary because she went from silent and quiet to now….she is a social butterfly and willing to try things she never felt confident to try before). Coach Amanda made sure to keep in communication with me with her progress and we both enjoyed seeing her grow so much.

When my second daughter arrived They saw her abilities as well and Coach Alex truly took her under her wing and allowed her to soar…. no pun intended since they are both flyers! lol

I’m a proud member of the Idol family and I won’t lie, it is a rigorous team, and everyone has to be committed to it, not just the children, but also the parents. They always say it takes a village and the Idol family is just that! All of the coaches make sure to communicate…and when they have to correct the girls or address a situation…they do that if it is needed then and then they always make sure to keep me abreast of what’s going on.

As a parent of athletes…we have to give the coaches some control to fix situations when needed….cause this is a competitive sport! (I don’t think Simone Biles coach was calling for approval when they needed to correct her for something that was not in line with the agreements)!

I tear up at every competition when I see my girls perform, and I know that is a nod to Coach Amanda, Coach Alex, Coach Damaris, Coach Tequino and everyone else that has been an influence in the growth of my girls in this sport!

This is our first year with Idol and i absolutely love the positive reinforcement the coaches give to their athletes! My daughter has been in competitive cheer for 5 years and honestly the biggest difference in this team is how well the coaches inspire and motivate these kids. IDOL will always feel like a second family to me. When I first joined last season, I was so nervous that I wouldn’t fit in — but after just a week, I knew it was exactly where I belonged. Coach Alex, Coach Amanda, and Coach D are some of the strongest and most inspiring women I’ve ever met, and it was such an honor to be coached by them. My daughter’s experience at Idol Cheer was extremely disappointing. The coaches went directly to her, an underage child, with issues that should have been addressed with us the parent's. They even threatened to remove her from the team if she missed practices, which caused her unnecessary anxiety. Despite having a broken toe and the flu, she felt pressured to attend because of these threats. Instead of supporting and encouraging her, the coaches seemed determined to find faults in her and push her out. Working with kids should be about inspiring and lifting them up — not tearing them down. This was not the experience I wanted for my daughter. I'm very disappointed and I highly DON'T recommend idol cheer. And to even think we were coming out of pocket for this trash!!!!!!! 🗑️...

They will not treat your kids right and will stoop so low that they will call your child's injury "fake". Vulgar behavior and a lack of intelligence. I highly recommend Idol Cheer for a great Cheerleading experience! The performances are top notch and my daughter has truly developed a lot more confidence since becoming part of this team over a year ago. They aren’t all about the performances- it’s also about bringing people together to celebrate talent and teamwork!

I think these reviews have to be fake BEWARE! I left 9 messages called and NO one would answer.I emailed NO ONE answered, then finally a REPLY the girl said the whole gym had Covid. Would get back to me in a day. I was so relieved, until another week went by and nothing again from the Gym. Finally I drove 45 minutes to the office During hours. Figured I’d have better luck. BIG MISTAKE!!! The desk girl was rude and like talking to wet paint trying to dry. Even interrupted me to take a personal call as I asked for more info. She had no info! No Pricing, No class ages, said she didn’t know any schedules. Would not make eye contact. Refused to smile or answer any questions. Told me she works the Desk Full time and I never called. Which made me laugh clearly I was devoted to going to the gym. I showed up in person. Finished off write your email on a sticky note I’ll write you back. This was two weeks ago I never heard anything. So over a MONTH!!!! I picked a different gym and I hope they read this Bc I’m highly considering doing a TikTok review / Instagram to my combined 500k followers in the Dade county area to help moms considering this gym think otherwise.

The cheer world requires a huge commitment and when you join a gym you join a family, and I couldn’t be more happy to be part of the IDOL family. The coaches are not only amazing as cheer coaches but are the best role models for my daughter. She has gone from a shy 6 year old to a strong and confident 9 year old with the love, encouragement and support of the coaches and girls on her team at IDOL. Hands down best cheer gym in Miami!
