It was a bit tough for me to sign up at the beginning because she is basically the only person running this studio so she gets A LOT of text messages and she is always in the class teaching someone. I regretted that I did not contact her again sooner to start taking classes with her sooner. Joyce is a great teacher. I’ve never done aerial silk, and did not have much upper body strength. I was worried before I started as I thought I would have to start doing aerial when I was a kids. But her adult class was awesome! I am always exhausted after the class but also felt very accomplished even though I am new to this.

Miss Joyce is Fantastic! Very good at explaining how to do the aerial tricks. You do not need to be in the best shape becuase you will get in shape. Quickly. And in a fun way! 10/10 would recommend this aerial studio. Its a good price point for a great teacher.

I absolutely love this studio! I have grown so much in just two years of taking classes. Joyce prioritizes safety and is aware of the individual skill level of each of her students, adjusting instructions for each of us. As an adult student, I look forward to my classes each week and the break it provides from my normal work day! The positive energy of the studio is super energizing and encouraging. I definitely recommend for students of all ages!

Have tried reaching out multiple times through multiple platforms in hopes of trying to book my first silks class, as I had to leave my old class due to distance, and never received a response. I can see my messages have been read and ignored. I am disappointed as I was excited to try this company after reading all these wonderful reviews. I hope the messaging and booking system becomes more organized for future potential students.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards Joyce for all she does for her students. Not only does she provide a safe environment where her students are able to push themselves physically and mentally, she provides love and kindness toward them. My daughters has gain valuable lessons not only about aerial silks but life lessons. Her self esteem has soared. She understands her body is strong and capable of great things. She has build friendships with her peers and best of all has so much fun! The amount of love and energy Joyce puts into her students is exhibited every year at the most wonderful showcase. My daughter has tried many different sports and activities…but nothing really seemed to keep her interested. I happen to find Joyce Lemos’ studio by chance and after the first class - my daughter was hooked! Here we are, two years later and my daughter is still loving her aerial classes. Ms Joyce’s studio is my daughter’s favorite place to be! She has been training there for two years and is madly in love with the aerial arts. My favorite thing about how Joyce runs her studio is that safety is her number one priority. My tiny daughter climbs 20 feet in the air and turns upside down, and I never worry because I know Joyce would not let her do anything she was not ready for. Her teaching style is thorough, rigorous, supportive and truly beautiful. Watching my daughter’s talent, strength, flexibility and confidence blossom has been so amazing to watch. Joyce is a fierce spitfire with so much love and support for all her students of every level. The other students are extremely encouraging and supportive of one another, it has been a truly wonderful experience for us and worth the long drive to be a part of it all!!

Our family is extremely pleased with our daughter's accomplishments at Joyce Lemos Aerial Arts & Dance Academy! Our daughter loves the classes, Joyce, the students, and the environment so much she is taking multiple classes a week, along with a private lesson, and will be starting competitions soon. My daughter has learned many new tricks and built strength and confidence in a short amount of time. Joyce is a wonderful coach who is incredibly hard working and dedicated to her passion. I am so glad my daughter found this studio! Joyce, the owner, has been instrumental in developing our daughters' skills over the last year. She is a wonderful balance of strict and caring. She takes per profession and business seriously and is a great coach and mentor. Our daughter had never done any aerial activities before joining this studio and in less than a year she has become a talented aerialist and her confidence has improved significantly! You will not find a more accepting place for dance and aerial instruction. Two of my children and I have taken lessons over the last 5+ years. Joyce works with all ages and abilities and the studio is a great fit for us all. Tough but encouraging, Joyce makes an effort to know each student personally and ensures each one is progressing.

Joyce has prepared one of my children for success in both local and online aerial competitions and has helped with local theater dance auditions. She also went out of her way to conduct classes online during Covid to keep her students in top form. This studio is diverse, inclusive and highly recommended!

I take adult aerial silks class. JLAADA is honestly for everyone. You may not think you are strong enough or flexible enough to do aerial arts but Joyce will guide and mold you every step of the way. She makes you feel comfortable no matter what level you are at. The classes are always fun and motivating and when you feel yourself getting stronger it’s so rewarding.

You will not find a better dance and aerial instructor. My daughter, son, and I all take lessons from Joyce. We had tried lessons at different places, but nothing worked until we found this studio. Joyce is tough but very loving, which works perfectly for our family. She knows every single student personally, and she makes sure that each individual is progressing. Sometimes, I am stunned by her attention to details.

We have been taking lessons from her for 4.5 years at the studio and for a couple years before that. Both of my children are active in theatre and Joyce has prepared them for many roles. She has helped me regain some confidence and helped my fitness. It is hard for an adult novice to pursue dance, but this environment has made it possible for me. Joyce prepared my daughter for college auditions. My son, who is younger, loves that so many boys go to the studio and that they are happy there. Both agree that not only is Joyce wonderful, but so are the studio families. This studio is diverse, welcoming, and full of love!

Joyce has been training my twins for almost 8 years! I love that they have had experience in acting, classical dance, lira and silks. What kid at 13 can say they have done all of that?
