We love Karate Beyond! We were hesitant about signing up for a karate class at first, but we were hooked after our trial sessions and never looked back.

I cannot begin to express all the positives my grandson Ashton is experiencing at Karate Beyond. My son started at Karate Beyond roughly 6 months ago. Since that time I have seen changes in him both big and small. My son looks forward to his class every week and has such a big smile on his face each time he earns a new stripe. The cherry on top is the after-school pick up they provide. If you're considering it, definitely get your child registered! It's well-worth the small investment!

Both my son and daughter love Karate & Beyond! They teach the kids discipline, respect, and self-control but allow them to have fun! Master Jae truly cares about his students and treats all of us like one big family. His approach teaches traditional martial art fundamentals but also incorporates self defense techniques. We look forward to all three of our kids growing up as a part of the Choe's Karate Beyond family!!

Our son has only just begun his karate journey but it has already proved to be very worthy of our time. His confidence and attitude have changed for the positive in just a few months. Since being under Master Jae’s instruction, I have watched my son having so much fun, while gain self-confidence. Every lesson reinforces a healthy respect for others while teaching him skills that he will continue to use throughout his teen and adult life.
I was so impressed, I started to take the adult class. I am astounded how much I have been able to learn and grow. This was not something even remotely in my comfort zone. I was terrified to walk through the door as a student. As the weeks and months have passed, I am so grateful that I was persuaded to take the first step. I have lost weight, become more flexible, and my stress and blood pressure have dropped; all while learning a new skill set and having a great time. It seems old dogs can learn new tricks. Professional instruction with an intentional component of practical application. My child loves karate days and is being challenged physically and mentally. She is gaining confidence and learning to push herself. The adult/teen classes are fun yet physically challenging (and a great community). The facility is clean and centrally located. My children love Karate Beyond! The location may be new but Master Jae is not and it shows in every way. His knowledge of the sport is superb, his rapport with the children is outstanding and his passion runs deep. Not to mention, the location is clean and professional and I feel confident sending my children here. I questioned how much my youngest (4) would get out of these classes, as I didn't want it to just be a fun place to socialize but it was quickly clear that she is getting so much more out of them. I love the confidence she's developed and the pride she takes in learning the moves and earning her stripes. The privilege of taking classes is also a motivator to my son (8) outside of the studio, so he's quick to get his chores and homework done so that he can make it to class. Master Jae is very in-tune to the students and I've seen him calm nerves, brighten moods and step in with corrections when needed. Best of all, these wonderful things are all happening while the kids are having fun! Highly Recommend!

Our daughter loves Karate at Choe’s Karate Beyond! It’s so amazing to watch my 3 year-old’s progress. She has come such a long way from her first class. Seeing the change in her attention, focus, her confidence and endurance to push through hard workouts has been amazing. For her first couple classes, I questioned whether or not she was ready. She had trouble staying focused and got tired easily, but we pushed through and today there was a new boy in her class who came for the first time. Piper helped show him what to do. Master Jae used her as the example for demonstrating the skills they practiced. What started out as running around and through obstacles for my daughter has become an organized and intentional practice of real skills. I can actually see the real change in her level of performance and knowledge. Karate has been such a benefit to her focus, confidence and fitness and it’s a privilege to witness her hard work paying off. So thankful for this amazing Karate studio and Master Jae’s skillful leadership and gift of working with these 3-year-olds!

My children have been going to Karate Beyond since it opened up and they absolutely LOVE IT. They currently attend 2 days of the 4pm class and, honestly, they'd be happy to be there everyday if they could. I love the early time for the class as it still allows us to be home in time to make dinner and have a relaxed evening.
Master Jae is amazing with children of all ages. He really knows how to reach them, encourage them, and teach them in a way that is really cool to watch. He not only teaches them the physical aspects of karate but also emphasizes respect, kindness, and integrity as well. And not just Master Jae, the whole team at Karate Beyond is fantastic.
I'm so glad that my kids are getting the opportunity to grow up at Karate Beyond and would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a after-school activity that builds character, burns some energy, and is just hella fun for their kids.
