About the Club

We are a small personal training studio specializing in women over 60 years old. We strive to help women become more comfortable with exercise in a safe, fun manner. Our trainers work with clients looking to improve their overall health and wellness. We have a lot of experience with clients who need modifications due to past injury, current conditioning or just want to exercise with people of similar age and abilities! We're a very welcoming community of women who are looking to become better versions of themselves!

Key Fitness Personal Training has been the perfect place for me to work on my individual fitness goals. I have been taking classes there twice a week for the past 10 months. Anne is attentive to individual needs and always finds a way to adapt exercises when needed and provide encouragement to challenge me too. This is the first time I have ever actually enjoyed attending fitness activities consistently. If you are a woman looking for a personal training experience, this is the place to go!

I'm so fortunate to have found Key Fitness! It's just what my 71 yo body needs to get back in shape. I've always been an athletic person, but because of injuries and age, I have fallen out of physical practice. Anne is a great trainer. She is very aware of all of her clients ' issues and tailors each workout to their ability and levels. I'm here for the duration! Thank you for offering workouts for older women.

I love Key Fitness! Anne is not only very knowledgeable and attentive to the needs abilities of each class member but she is also fun to work with and makes getting back into shape fun. The camaraderie between the class members keeps me from feeling self conscious about where I’m at and how far I have to go to meet my goals. We’re there to encourage each other not compete with each other. If you’re a senior woman I highly recommend you check Key Fitness out!

In March 2023, I saw a Facebook ad posted by Anne Roberts, who owns Key Fitness. She was offering a series of training sessions to get started. It seemed like just what I needed at that time. And, it was. In a few short months, I can see the improvements to strength, balance, my ability to do cardio exercises. It's evident in simple things, like standing up from being seated on the floor. Anne is a caring, knowledgeable trainer who is especially interested in helping women 'of a certain age'. She ensures that at Key Fitness, classes and personal sessions are enjoyable while being very productive. Classes are small so that everyone gets personalized attention, which is very important to people with all kinds of physical limitations and concerns. I'm so happy to have found Key Fitness and I know that I am already healthier for it.

If you want to get in shape but feel intimidated at gyms, check out Key Fitness! Anne's small group personal training has been the solution for me. I started soon after she opened five years ago and I still go at least twice a week. I originally needed one-to-one sessions because of severe back trouble, which eventually resolved after surgery, and now I truly enjoy going and the camaraderie of the other "girls". Anne is incredibly knowledgeable and caring and loves joking around with her classes, I feel the island is so lucky to have someone of her abilities, and I am very happy to call her a friend. She also provides nutrition advice and regularly holds challenges and special events for her clients. I feel so much healthier and stronger than I did before I started. She has plenty of classes so if I can't make my regular class, I can take another. I used to hate exercising but I truly enjoy my Key Fitness classes. Thank you Anne!

Above expectations!, Anne knows how to find the right exercise for you what ever your capabilities are. My goal was to be less stiff and be stronger so I could keep up with the grandkids. I was when I started hardly able to lift a grand baby from her crib but know it is a piece of cake. Anne knows how to motivate and keep you interested. Staying fit with her guidance is fun and something I can do for the rest of my life. Besides that I also met some wonderful wonderful women while going to Key Fitness. Thanks Anne.

Love my classes at Key Fitness. The classes are small and women only. Anne is a great instructor and really pushes me to do more. Before I started at Key Fitness, I had gained weight, felt sluggish and had no energy. I feel so much better now. Of course the changes do not happen overnight, but if you continue, you too will see changes.

I highly recommend Anne's program. She personalizes for your specific needs. Small classes. All women. Helps you work through concerns, works around physical issues (example: currently have a torn rotator cuff and that is no excuse to miss class, just a reason to modify the routine at times). Lovely, interesting classmates but it's Anne's special touch that makes it a great place to be. Oh and you gain strength, get great tips on lots of things, and lose weight if you put in the effort.

A Personal Trainer can make a huge difference in one’s life. My husband went to one here on Amelia for over 10 years and his Mayo doctors credited her with extending his life. I knew when he died, I needed to start taking better care of myself. I met Anne Roberts, owner of Key Fitness in Feb., 2021, and I felt an immediate connection. She is a very compassionate person and dedicated to her business. Each class is small and specifically planned for the clients enrolled. I immediately found a connection with the other ladies in my class, and we are dedicated to continuing our journey. I had to stop for 2 months when I had knee surgery, but now I am making significant progress with Anne’s continued instructions and my classmates’ and Anne’s encouragement.

I can't believe it has been almost 4 years since I was lucky enough to find Anne and Key Fitness in a random Google search for personal trainers. I knew the first time I met her for the initial evaluation that she was going to provide the inspiration and knowledge I was looking for to help me deal with my 50's (UGH) and be in the best shape possible. I have never been disappointed! She readily tailors workouts to each client based on their fitness level, any current injuries/soreness, mindset and overall goals in the group classes that make you feel like you are J Lo with your OWN trainer!! She has made me stronger, more confident and ready to keep on working out like the other clients who are sweating beside me and in their 80's. My experience at Key Fitness, with Anne Roberts has been phenomenal, when we first began working together, I was extremely frail and trying to recover from a cervical fusion operation. Anne worked diligently with me to improve my strength, balance and stamina.
