Today was my first time visiting, and I really enjoyed myself! It was something I had never experienced before, but I loved the contrast between the sauna and the cold plunge. Ali, our leader, was fantastic—definitely a ten out of ten experience. Thank you!

This place has changed my LIFE for the better. With all of the different yoga offerings and the benefits that come with that, to the sauna & cold plunge that I make sure is the follow-up to each yoga class I take, to breathing through life’s opportunities with Agathe and doing the deep work with Maxx to rejuvenate my soul… I couldn’t recommend this place more! I’ve been a part of the Koda-community for about 1.5 years, and cannot see myself ever going somewhere that puts me far from this. This is where I’ve healed, grounded and taken care of myself through everything! The staff - all of them - are amazing and so genuine. I’ve never called somewhere else “home” before coming here. ♥️🙏

I've been meaning to write this review for too long - I've just been too caught up in loving taking Kodwari's classes! I searched for months when I moved down here thinking I would never find another fun yoga studio that excited me to come & feel welcomed. Hot girl summer is not ready for this hot yoga, lol - wonderful ambiance & customer service, especially by the awesome receptionist at the front (curly black hair & name starts with an A, I'm so sorry I forgot, works on Sunday mornings frequently). Every single one of my yoga instructors make my day!!! AMELIA is a goddess at what she does simply put - she makes my entire day when I take her classes, such a thorough, kind, genuine, & preciously goofy instructor! I absolutely love their Hot Yoga or Hot Power class. I can't recommend the upbeat music/vibe enough - the time-slots are perfect for my work schedule. Thank you!!!

Kodawari has truly changed my life. The contrast therapy sessions are led by incredible guides who make every experience both grounding and invigorating—these have been game-changing for my training and recovery. The yoga offerings are endless, with something for everyone, and I especially love the classes with sound bowls and yoga nidra for deep relaxation and self-discovery. Over time, I’ve learned more about myself through this space than I ever expected.
On top of it all, the unlimited yoga and sauna membership is an amazing value, and the entire community here is welcoming, friendly, and supportive. Kodawari isn’t just a studio—it’s a place to grow, recharge, and truly feel at home.

I’ve done bodywork. I’ve done trauma release. I’ve been deeply reparenting my inner child. I’ve explored the energetic and the emotional realms. But what Maxx offers transcends all of that because it’s not just healing to the body, it’s healing through it.
The body stores emotions.
This was not just a massage. It was an excavation of stored grief, untended memories, and somatic truths. A reclamation. Maxx brings together intuitive touch, neurosomatic precision, and what can only be described as fascia-based tantra unwinding tension in a way that made my entire nervous system exhale.
At one point, my digestion literally turned back on. (I’ve been rebuilding gut health, and healing candida) I felt the life force move through me again, organs, fascia, and energy reorganizing in real time. It was like my body remembered safety. Not just conceptually but physiologically.
I’ve never felt more seen, held, and met in a session like this. Maxx has grown into a truly profound practitioner, one who listens not just with ears, but with presence, pressure, and soul.
This is the work that changes you. If your body has been whispering, or screaming, or just quietly begging to be heard, this is where you go. You will leave with parts of yourself you forgot you were still missing.

This place is absolutely incredible! It offers everything you could ask for – yoga, cold, plunge, sauna, massage, stretch, stretching, and so much more. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the owner is truly a remarkable person always involved, supportive, and an exceptional sauna guide. The location is in South Tampa and super convenient. They also offer a range of scheduling options every day to fit any lifestyle. I can’t recommend it highly enough!!

The private sauna at Kodawari was incredible; super relaxing with just the right heat. Then, diving into the cold plunge was a rush like no other, totally refreshing!

I’ve been taking Annette’s classes on/ off for the past 6 years. Words fall short in describing the deep gratitude I have for Annette in her pursuing this path & her practice. I am moved & inspired by her and the beautiful people at Kodawari in ways that I’ve never experienced at other studios or month-long yoga immersions.
Annette inspires you to embrace every juicy part of you, teaches you to hold reverence for change (in seasons & emotions) and empowers you to be a revolutionary in a chaotic world by cultivating an inner garden of compassion & kindness.
There’s layers to Annette’s teaching. Allow it to ravish you—accept what is offered, trust & receive her guidance, and courageously integrate all that rises up. Lean in. There’s a method to the madness😉 For me, it blazes a new pathway for deeper levels of radical authenticity wrapped in love. I’m forever grateful for your teachings over these years Annette—you’ve planted a seed in my heart to show up in my practice & life in new ways.
I’m moving to the mountains & continuing my practice in Denver in this next chapter. Annette’s teachings lives on with me, and I bring it forward in every step I take. I’ll tune back in to this gem of a studio whenever I get the chance. Forever in deep gratitude for you all & this beautiful community that became rooted in Kodawari. Namaste🩵

Can't recommend Maxx enough! As an ultrarunner, I've seen a number of 'specialists' while injured who only treated the symptoms. Maxx is special because he doesn't just get you out of pain (note- getting out of pain may involve a little 'pain'), but he will do so in a way to make it a long-term solution so you're not spending a ton of money and living on his table every week. For me specifically he's helped with chronic achilles issues and other foot/knee/hip/shoulder oroblems. Separate from being a wizard of how the body moves/should move, he's also super funny, friendly and honest. The funny part helps during those times when the adjustments don't feel super fun in the moment. Anyway - go see Maxx if you're in pain and I'll bet he can get you out of pain!

This was by far the most effective and beneficial treatment i have ever experienced. Maxx is a master at his craft as he was able to calm my mind, body allowing me to relax. The amount of trauma I had stored in my body and was able to let go of was mind blowing. I shed tears in this session letting go of traumas. Pain turned into bliss as soon as I surrendered and stop using other areas of my body to protect which Maxx brought that to my awareness as well. We all have stuck energy within the mind, body and soul and this session not only taught me so much about me but also enabled me to let go of what no longer serves me. I stepped out of that session feeling renewed and restored on so many levels and I highly recommend the services of Maxx you will not be disappointed and will be a better version of yourself when done. Thank you brother from the bottom of my heart to the depths of my soul eternal gratitude love and blissings 🙏🏽💚

I took a few classes as a traveling yogi 3 years ago and I wanted to come back after moving here to Tampa. I took Annette's class, which was quite challenging, but her instruction was clear and easily understood! "Kodawari" means "perfection" in Japanese and this studio lives up to its name. It offers a Nordic sauna, cold plunge, salt bath, massage, acupuncture and more. This is the BEST studio I have ever been to and will definitely be back!

Feels like home and a breath of fresh air in the city! I tried every yoga studio in tampa before coming across Kodawari. It only took 1 class with Nadine to become a member. Not only has this place been extremely healing for me it also fills me with gentle reminders to be a better human. Without my daily yoga and sauna practice here I would not have found the tools to navigate life to my full potential!!! Best place ever!

While the classes and sauna are nice here, it’s like many yoga facilities in the US…. Luxury prices without any luxury involved. I am a yoga teacher and I offer classes that people can afford because places like this make good health so far out of reach for a lot of people.
Sauna with 10 other people should not have this high cost in my opinion. So many people struggling to have good health in our toxic world and these great remedies can not be afforded.
It’s simply greed with no heart for the purpose of what is offered.

I had the great fortune to stumble upon Kodawari studio while in Tampa for only a month. From the moment I met delightful & very helpful Samantha at the front desk I knew there was something special about the community there, and there truly is! Kodawari Studio is by far and away the Best Yoga in Tampa. Filled with talented instructors and practitioners of varying modalities. As to Yoga owner and teacher Annette Scott, she is the best there is at what she does. If your yoga is strictly Vanilla, her class may not be for you because she is rocky-road, mint chip and rainbow sherbet all rolled up into one. She uses language, and relays stories that could make you laugh or cry or even be offended. She means NO Harm and her ways are part of the process of her style of expanding growth, love, and community. If its not for you, no harm, but so far as THE YOGA, goes it does not get better.

I’ve been going to Kodwari for about a year It’s my favorite yoga studio ❤️🙏⭐️. Before that I was at a different studio for 10 years and went through YTT 200 training. My sister found Kodwari and loves it there so I decided to give it a try. Hot power was hard for me at first but now I love it 🥰 it provides discipline and muscle release in a way that regular yoga does not. There are lots of yoga options…. Mindful flow, restorative, and breathwork are some that I’ve enjoyed. Annette, the owner is the real deal. She provides community continues to challenge, teach and entertain me. Her classes provide the framework to become anti-fragile, which is definitely a goal for me. I love the Nordic sauna Highly recommend the studio so glad I found it

Thankful to have found "home" in Kodawari. The sense of community fostered here is truly special. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, you're welcomed with open arms. Years into my practice it is still such a joy to be alongside like-minded individuals who are on their own journey of self-discovery and growth. I have also learned so much about myself through workshops and events focused on various aspects of holistic wellness, from sisterhood to mindfulness practices, which have truly enriched my life.
Overall, I can't recommend this studio enough. If you're looking for more than just a place to stretch and sweat, but rather a supportive community and a holistic approach to wellness, then look no further. This studio is truly a gem!

Everyone seems to be pretty enthralled with this studio but I have an honest review to post from an experience that was much different. Firstly, I have to mention that this studio is not appropriate for anyone under 18. Not because of the difficulty level or the heat, but because of the teacher conduct. I took a class Easter weekend with who the front desk associates said was the owner... And, I have never heard so many F bombs in an hours time. Yes, we were all adults in there but it was highly unusual for a yoga instructor to use the F word at least 20-30 times in one class. Not only that, there was heavy use of obscene, derogatory, and perverse language the entire class. Something particularly disturbing were several "jokes" of sexual nature about our mothers. Quite disgusting seeing as how most of our mothers are probably at least 70. I am aware the owner thought she was being funny, but as someone who has practiced yoga her entire life, this is NOT the culture. Never has been an acceptable form of conversation in a class like this and never will be. It completely goes against the belief system that the practice of yoga was founded on. So that's why I would not advise anyone to bring their teens for a class if foul language is not used in the home. Furthermore, I had called earlier that morning and asked about the difficulty level since I was on vacation and was not familiar with this particular studio. This is a completely valid question when spending $24 for a class. Furthermore, someone who is in a different season of life could have been calling to find out if perhaps the class would be too hard for them. Just to get a feel of what they're stepping into. Half way through the class, the teacher brought it up and started making fun of me in front of the entire class. Making snide comments about me, which I could tell was an ego boost. I was a paying customer and if I wanted to ask how hard things were in there, at 105 degrees, I had every right. Oh, and if you are the type of person who needs to drink water in an extremely challenging environment, this also is not the place for you as we were told time and time again not to. Within just the hour I spent there, I picked up on a false sense of community and some serious cultural appropriation happening. Just no respect what so ever for the students in the class or the culture. That's my experience. I've practiced for two decades and am advanced enough of a practitioner to be able to speak to this situation with complete transparency and knowledge of how a class is supposed to be instructed.

Kodawari is truly life changing. They offer so many opportunities for health and wellness. The instructors are warm, caring and passionate about teaching. There are yoga classes for any level. Breathwork with Agathe: incredible experience of regulating and healing the nervous system through immediate release of stress/tension/past hurts in real time under the expert and compassionate guidance of Agathe who leads you through this spiritual/metaphysical journey for about 45min. She also shares the skill/gift of Reiki healing by holding space for every single person in class. I always love her music selection to really get into an elevated state. Truly an out of body experience!
Agathe also creates and hosts unique “secret” events that are fun 2hr journeys into the depths of our inner world to explore and learn more about ourselves and how we interact/perceive the external world. Full of self discovery, stepping outside our comfort zones, personalized gifts and nurturing our vital roles in community 💜

My husband and I are regular Kodaweirdos 🩷 we are in the studio about once a day for either hot yoga, breathwork with Agathe, sauna/ cold plunge, restorative classes like Kinstretch with Moses, or visiting a practitioner. The owner Annette really cultivates a thriving and connected community. Everyone is different but relatable and open. So special!
We are weekly Reki & breathwork goers - it has transformed our lives and is such a competitive edge for life. Each class with Agathe is a different experience, yet familiar enough to be one of our favorite routines.

Kodawari is amazing. As someone who lives in 2 areas it’s a place I wish was in both locations. I can personally only speak on breathwork but it truly brings joy to my heart when I do it. Who knew getting better at something we will do for the rest of our lives can be so rewarding. It’s so often I fall into habituation or I’m focused on external things and distractions to feel a certain way. Breathwork brings me back to living life. Agathe is a such a good instructor, she’s this loving bundle of joy and wisdom and the best I’ve had to hold space and lead us through the breathwork journey. I’ve tried breathwork with other instructors and they’re not quite the same… anyway everyone at kodawari is warm and welcoming I would recommend trying some classes out if you don’t like it, that’s probably because you’re a victim to circumstance and choose to side with excuses and resist change.

This review is a long time coming! I found my practice and love for breathwork, yoga and nordic sauna here. Amazing instructors, loving community and just warmth here overall. This has become my second home and I have been coming for over a year. Hot power and sauna with Annette (an absolute firecracker of a founder that will change your life), buti with Bradley and Brielle, and vinyasa with Anastasia are all classes I would recommend but any class you take here will fill your cup.
I am most and eternally grateful for Agathe introducing me to breathwork- a meditation like practice that has changed my life that I can incorporate into my day to day, sauna and yoga too. "Come home before you go home" is not merely a Kodawari tagline; it encapsulates the genuine essence of community and love fostered by the Kodawari Kodaweirdos! In May 2023, I made the decision to enroll in the unlimited Yoga and Nordic Sauna membership, and since then, my visits to Kodawari have become a consistent and enriching part of my daily routine. Kodawari offers a plethora of yoga and Nordic Sauna classes, complemented by a diverse range of holistic practitioners based at the studio.
As a haven for wellness, Kodawari extends its offerings beyond Yoga and Nordic Sauna to include acupuncture, massage, trademarked Soft Tissue Recovery, breath work, and weekly wellbeing sessions. These sessions provide members with dedicated time to focus on personal growth across various aspects of their lives. I had the privilege of attending a "Women in Business Group" a few months ago, which comprised of a Nordic Sauna session, a Yoga Flow, and a journaling and meditation practice. Guided by Annette, the owner, curator, and creator of Kodawari, along with Anastasia, the experience proved to be truly transformative. Annette is a formidable force of intellect and efficacy.
Studio Shout Out goes to Bradley, a Yoga and Buti instructor whose daily classes at Kodawari infuse a heavenly energy into each session, my life is better because he is in it! Anastasia, Yvonne, Amelia, and the entire roster of instructors contribute to the studio's vibrant tapestry, ensuring that every class attended becomes a daily highlight. Trent, one of the Sauna leads, embodies a unique approach, providing insightful and holistic Nordic Sauna sessions. These sessions include breath work teachings, guided meditation, and gratitude practices within a supportive community space. Trent and his fellow Sauna Leads at Kodawari serve as spiritual guides, assisting us on our journey to embrace life's challenges.
Gratitude fills me for the privilege of having such an incredible space to escape to daily. Leaving Kodawari, I consistently feel lighter, clearer, and calmer than when I arrived.

I have been going to Kodawari off and on since April of ‘23 and just recently purchased the membership for Christmas. I do not have enough good things to say about this place. The vibes are very relaxed, the instructors actually enjoy yoga as a practice and you can tell they incorporate it into their daily lives, Amelia and Tina are my favorites. Sydney, the front desk girl, offered me her mat today when they were out of mats for a busy weekend day of sessions. (if you’re a true yogi you know your mat is sacred). It is amazing compared to the other studios I have been to that come across judgy and prissy, not here. They want you to be at peace leaving. I’m so thankful I finally committed and absolutely love coming here.

My favorite place. There’s an expression in one of the yoga rooms “come home before you go home”, this helps describe what it’s like to go to this studio. Everyone from the teachers to the front desk are incredible and so friendly. Special shoutout Sydney at the front for always putting a smile on my face. Thank you to anyone who is a part of this community and for being such a big part in my growth journey.

I've always driven by here but never had time to check it out - finally had time to do a class, and loved it!
The class I went to was an early morning hot yoga session that was pretty intense for a beginner like me, but exactly what I was looking for. Not too crowded, everyone was super friendly, and the vibes (and instructor!) were great.
Also, shout out to the people who work there - they were all super nice, and Sydney who showed me around was really sweet and helpful in getting me started!

I had a postcard special of $49/month unlimited with no expiration date. I went there to try a class and was told it’s $69/month and if I want to stay for today’s class it would be $24. I would recommend if you’re going to pass out specials in the future to include an expiration date if you’re not going to accept. I cannot imagine classes are sold out on the daily that you couldn’t accept my postcard I received. I would have most likely continued and been a long time student, but I’ll take my money elsewhere. Seems a little unprofessional.

This morning I had a great first class at 6am. Ashley was so welcoming and kind as I walked in out of the 40* weather lol so cold. She took away any anxiety I might of had starting a new yoga practice with zero experience in a new place. She was so personable. Working with Moses is a completely different take on "going to the chiropractor". My life is legitimately changed. I remember laying on his table and breathing, just breathing, and I said in my head "this is the first time I've breathed like that in 15 years". We both probably jinxed each other mentally because we both said it out loud about 5 seconds later.
Being a person that works in pain and structure in a different scope of practice, I can say that I would have no issue recommending him to help. If you're looking for a person that can teach you about your body, and help you find a way to make it better, I wholehearted recommend Moses.
I went in for a neck adjustment, didn't get a thing adjusted, and I got my mind blown. Thanks again Moses, I truly appreciate it.

They say home is where the heart is... I left a little piece of my heart here and I like to believe I brought a little of Kodawari's heart and spirit home with me-
I was in Tampa for a 4-5 month stay and a great, great, great friend brought me to this studio as I had not been in touch with my yoga practice for some time... this would be up there with one of my BEST DECISIONS EVER!!!
I ended up being there everyday and many days for two or three classes at a time. I was filled with a sense of community and ecstatic to leave the area for home with many new friends, smiles and experiences.
I was extremely impressed with each of the instructors (and the instructors in training) enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for the practice they teach and shared with me.
I wasn't able to take advantage of all of the services, but I will say the facial is top-notch, heavenly, aaaaaaaamazing!
Kodawari Krew, you all are my mountain in Florida!
Until we come together and practice again, namaste~

For me, this place is the balance in the storm. I’m grateful to have found it.
It’s been a gift in my life that I pray others can experience. It’s hard to describe why but I believe it comes from the authentic nature of Annette and the passion every instructor brings to each class.
It’s not competitive, it’s not harsh, but each class encourages me to be more loving and compassionate through challenging myself. That’s been my experience. That experience refreshes me each day.
It has improved my life and I hope the message I’ve found at Kodawari spreads. The world needs it in my humble opinion.
