Apparently the owner forgot to pay the rent for over a year and it took the buildings management company to sue KoKo FitClub to get them evicted. On top of that they were taking membership dues while taking a chance that the sheriff would not show up and shut them down, the sheriff did shut them down. The thing that burns me is not even four days prior to getting evicted they charged my credit card the $99 monthly fee, I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company.

I was a member of a few of the big box gyms before joining KoKo a few years ago. The training philosophy at those places was no pain, no gain. Trainers did the same routine for all their customers no matter their shape or endurance. Just the opposite at KoKo. No cookie cutter here. Routines are based on your abilities. The employees are always looking to make sure your form is correct so you don't injure yourself. Hats off to Derek and all the employees at KoKo Fit.

There are gyms, there are fitness centers, there are physical activity venues - but then there is KOKO.
KOKO has taken fitness to the next level. Yes, KOKO incorporates the best of technology. Their Smart Trainer machines take the guess work out of your workouts. Theyβre both both fun and efficient.
But it is KOKOβs incredible, compassionate, knowledgeable STAFF that is the soul of this location. These people transition/modify the technology to each members reality - they encourage you, they commiserate on those days that warrant commiseration and they applaud each member throughout their on-going fitness and health journey.
Kudos to Derrick for making the transition of Coral Springs members seamless and welcoming to the Plantation location. Kudos to Rob for continuing to be my biggest coach cheerleader, nutrition advocate and functional exercise trainer.
Kudos to KOKO!

I love Koko. Itβs my happy place. Everyone is nice and helpful. Everyone, even other members, work at making each other better. I have never worked out so consistently or so hard. I credit my love of working out to Koko.

I've been a Kokonut for about 3 months now and truly in love with this place. I have the best circle of workout friends and we keep each other motivated for sure! The gym is super clean and the staff is amazing! The group classes help you take it to the next level for sure!

A year ago my husband and I joined KoKo Fit in Plantation. I was tired of dirty gyms, machines that didn't work, and lack-luster trainers. Personally, I had found out that I had Osteoporosis and thought no better time to take charge of my health. 1 year later my bone density had improved 20%. We love the fact that we can go into the gym 24/7, and that their proven circuit and strength training show results.

Wow. I thought I was in love with my gym, until I visited this location. The grass really is greener here though! Now every home workout is paled in comparison to the experience I had at Koko FitClub Plantation. I literally think of that place every time I step into my home Koko club, and the comparisons make me want to take a trip back down to FL, every darn time.
I should preface this review by saying that I'm a bona fide KokoNut. When I'm home I like to follow a plan where I workout daily at the club alternating daily with an only cardio day followed by a light cardio day and multiple strength sessions. It's more than anyone else at my club so a little more competition is nice.
Here's my breakdown for this place:
1. They have the most modern technology and most upgraded options. This gym has the new screens that let you follow a predefined program with guided imagery at the same time, but you can choose to either listen to the program or your own material. The coolest part - it has the entire library of programs! Not just the current season. (My gym has only old mp3 players with select few sessions available or very few laminated cards for light walking workouts. I hate choosing between the two!) This club gives you the best of both worlds.
2. The Koko X workouts are AMAZING. They will work you to your level and then just a little past it. Even if you're in with a group, they push you to your limits with a customized heart rate monitor. It's a completely higher level of workout and I'd be a regular for this if my club offered it. They scheduled the time around my availability on my business trip, not even as one of their members! And then there was a bonus session that I jumped into when one of their members had a solo session. Working out together helped us both push harder and it was awesome!
3. The trainers really care about you here. Derek (owner) personally talked to me every time I came to his club and made a point to say hi since I was visiting from Colorado. All the other trainers challenged me to push harder and had a very friendly and helpful way of correcting my form a few times. They talked to me at length about what my goals were and made recommendations a little different from my home club.
4. The facility as a whole couldn't be setup any more perfectly. Dual climate control for the X room is a major bonus, and the vortex like fans instantly help you feel cooled down. Having an optional shower at the club means no traveling back to the hotel to get cleaned up before going out. They have more machines than my home club, by double!
5. These guys foster higher level of competition, not just between the members, but by calling out the trainers too! I only wish I had someone back home to push me further. It's just not the same without someone to compete with and I feel like I fit in better in the culture these guys have built at Plantation.
All in all, I wish I could live in Colorado but workout at here. I am planning a return trip for the (nearly) sole purpose of returning to this club again. The concert I'm coming for will not be the highlight of the vacation!

Kokofit Plantation is the best! Friendly, funny, supportive and helpful staff always made me feel welcome and cared for. I was in the area for two months from NY for personal reasons and can honestly say this place helped keep me sane! Shout outs to Derek, Mara, Adam, Nicole, Jessie, and Daphne.
