It seems it will be taken over by another brand name gym but still don’t know which one.

I am actually SHOCKED to see 4 stars in this deteriorating gym! If you can afford it in terms of time and money, look into Midtown in Weston. That is what a gym should be: beautiful new equipment in a gorgeous setting as well as employees constantly wiping down the equipment, tenis, wonderful classes, great atmosphere, etc.
In contrast, this LA Fitness stinks. Their equipment and rugs need to be replaced, the bathrooms are old, the sauna works but is not hyper clean, the employees are friendly but overall it’s a sad state of affairs.
I wonder if the 5 stars are written by employees friends. Don’t be fooled, if you’re interested in this club, really pay close attention to everything: you’ll be disappointed.

My girlfriends been trying to cancel her membership for over a month now. LA fitness policy is that it has to be done onsite, no exceptions. We tried this location last week and we were told the managers not in and he's the only capable one. Today, I made one phone call to this location to ensure the appropriate person or manager would be in to do so. The call system placed me on hold automatically for 5 minutes because the line was busy. Some guy answered screaming at me that "he knows my name and what is wrong with me to call 20 times in a row when he's the only employee working". I assured him, well tried to speak calmly over him, that I called once and was placed on hold or a phone loop their system automatically has in place. He continued to raise his voice and say that the manager isn't in and no one's going to help me while insulting me. I haven't used an LA fitness in 15 years and this is exactly why. Their staff have always been the lowest quality of people. What an absolute clown. Luckily I'm older and wiser now. Have fun working at BK.

It's sad, but even though Im just one mile away from the gym I inconveniently drive almost 15 minutes to train in a functional clean gym. I canceled my membership after 8 years because LA Fitness doesn't maintain properly de equipment and facility. It's rusty, smells, deteriorated, dirty, outdated. The company doesn't maximize the big space and premium location to provide a great experience. It's an abandoned gold mine.

The location is wonderful, big space, not crowded but they need to update the equipment, is toooooo old (maybe since they open) …. Squeaky and rusted!!! BROKEN !! Not working at all !!! Plus the wifi doesn’t work in the second floor. Would be great if corporate do something about it !!! I’m tired of asking the manager for changes but is nothing she can do about it

I just wanted to leave a quick comment about the instructors for many classes are really good! Zumbas best is Elgin, Noelle I think her name is and one other lady. But mannnn Elgin and Noelle and a pilates class will have u burning calories. They are full of great energy just love it! It is not ur regular zumba class. Must attend to know 🤩This particular location could use a face lift. I think this is why alot of pple don't go there. But it's a hidden gem. Hope they invest a Lil funds there

Poor maintenance, the jacuzzi is out of service for years and the steam room out of service for over three months. The sauna works but it’s disgusting in there, band aids, oil marks on the floor and smells bad. I am not going in there anymore. Switching to another location.

This was an acquired defunct gym from years ago. Not much has been done to improve this LA Fitness location. The training area is like a dungeon. This club is hurting big time. The strength training and cardiovascular equipment should have been retired. You can see rust/oxidized equipment everywhere. Equipment sits with out of order signs for long periods of time as do the water fountains. Try joining another gym or making another LA fitness location your primary facility. This club isn't inspiring at all. I hope the powers that be make serious changes or just relocate the facility.

WiFi never works they must not be paying the bill. The machines are getting old and breaking down. They stay un repaired for weeks at a time. If you go on a weekday past 4pm till closing you will spend more time searching for weights then actually working out and good luck finding a machine or bench that isn’t already taken. Nobody puts the weights back and many are using 2-3 sets of dumbbells or machines at the same time. Been going here for over two years now and it’s steadily tanking.

Been working out here over a year and half. At least once in month you can expect to see some broken machines at this gym. Specially leg machines, Cardio machines tend to break frequently than any other machines. So when you plan your workout routine around the week but your gym machines said NOT TODAY ! Love that it is not overwhelmingly congested however there machines constantly need to repaired, and the maintenance staff is extremely slow. Also they only have one angle leg press. The used to have to rather than repair they remove it therefore causing long wait times for that one machines.

The whole crew at this gym is very nice and they work hard but the gym itself is in very poor condition. Old machines in very bad shape, corrosion, etc. I am at that gym 3 years now and not even one machine got replaced. Old rusty junk!

Jacuzzi out of service over two years.
Steam room out of service for almost two months with no staff knowing when or if it will be fixed.
Sauna down three weeks. "Should" be fixed soon.
Pool heater took ages to fix.
Dust caked on bathroom walls.
Same trash inside lockers week after week.
Came at 8am on a weekend recently, didn't open until nearly 9, crowd of people at the door waiting.

Frustrating when you choose LA Fitness for the location and what they offer, but can't use.

Gave two stars because it's true that it's not usually crowded and can usually get access to machines as needed. Convenient location. The common spaces are generally clean.

this gym has basically everything you need and has a good staff team. the only reason why i'm not giving it a 5 star is because of the constant break down of machines and services. the jacuzzi has been broken for 9 months now, they just recently stated to fix it, poured water into it, but now it has caution tape around it and has been like that for the last 3 weeks. the steam room has also been broken for around 2 months now with no signs of it being fixed any time soon. sauna works perfectly fine and is very hot, as it should be. the machines are pretty old, some are pretty rusty and break down quite often, but i'll give it to them that they fix broken machines relatively quickly. all the equipment could use a renovation. besides that, this la fitness location does get the job done. would recommend for beginners or intermediate lifters.

Met Max (the general manager at this location) who was super friendly and professional. He was genuinely interested in helping me achieve my goals vs. selling any gimmicky promotions. The facility is immaculate and offers a wide variety of programs to meet your fitness needs. My mom does the Zumba class weekly and has turned her health and lifestyle around!

The swimming pool is nasty. People use underwear and socks inside the pool (the same socks used minutes ago running). When I asked if that was allowed, the employee said YES. A few weeks ago, white stuff was floating in the pool; when I requested to be removed, the employee told me that has to be the next day.
