I have been in Erica‘s class for over four years. When I started, I could not get up off the floor without holding onto a piece of furniture now I can get up on my own. I am 78 years old and becoming fitter and fitter every day. My doctor said don’t ever quit that exercise class you go to. I hope to be in this class another 10 years at least.

Clean gym and nice staff until I realized that my trainer stole some of my sessions. I bought it to his attention because my Check Ins were not matching my Trainings on the app. He said he would make it up to me and then stopped answering my messages. I'm paying for a "master trainer" but they don't even check your posture unless you ask if you're doing the workout correctly. The gym is a SCAM!

The told me it was only 100 bucks to join and 40 a month. When I went back to join they changed me tax on my monthly so it was actually 56 a month, plus you have to pay for first and last months fee, plus you have to pay a 60 dollar annual fee 2 weeks after joining. So it was actually 276 dollars to join, not the 140 they originally said. I walked out without joining. They way overcharge and lie to you. The don't provide towels, not enough benches, and no shelves in the showers too put stuff on.

Ile start on a positive note. This gym has a great selection of equipment and many options for classes. The staff I have interacted with is awesome and extremely friendly. When equipment goes down it has been fixed fairly quick.

My two issues with this gym both revolve around the cleaning practices. One is I cannot wrap my brain around cleaning the showers and sauna during business hours. When you are closed allow the cleaning crew to stay and hour late or arrive an hour early. I pay to use these facilities, and they get closed during business hours. Second issue is the actual cleanliness of the men's locker room. Mold in the showers and roaches in the locker room/bathroom. There isn't a day I don't see a roach. When the showers are being cleaned half are closed at a time. The guy cleaning them is fully masked due to the chemicals, but I'm expected to shower at the same time. Use common sense clean in the off hours. There are other issues, but none bother me like the cleanliness. This isn't a Planet Fitness. I pay for a more expensive membership. I expect a better quality.

I've been coming to this LA Fitness for about 6 years now and have attended the HIIT classes for 3 of those years. Taylor has been my HIIT instructor for the past almost 2 years, and I couldn't be more thankful for her! Taylor always leads a phenomenal class full of energy, motivation, and genuine support. She demonstrates every move, watches your form, and kindly corrects when needed. She thoroughly previews the day's workout, so you know what to look forward to, and motivates you along the way. I am an avid athlete who tends to get injured more frequently than I would like. Whenever I am dealing with an injury, Taylor is always very supportive of when I need to take it easier or take some time off. Taylor listens and remembers what is going on for each person's body and provides quality modifications and alternatives if a move isn't ideal for someone. She puts on music to match the energy and pace of the class. You always leave in a better mood than when you arrived and know you got in an awesome workout! Very thankful to have Taylor as an instructor!

My family and I recently returned to the gym after a 6 month break. Josh has been awesome at customizing our family needs in the gym that fits our individual goals. My son is doing personal training and I enjoy the HIIT classes offered at the Longwood location. My favorite coaches in HIIT are Henry and Megan but Taylor is absolutely THE BEST! Taylor's energy and encouragement makes me strive to do more in my workout which means a lot because I am not a huge fan of going to the gym.

There's FECES in the pool and it's from the kids that have swimming lessons in it. When I signed up I was told no kids in the pool and that the pool is available during business hours. Every time I go, the pool isn't available because of swimming lessons. It's bad enough that they decreased business hours and now this. The kids take up entire pool area. La fitness is not worth the money because they close so early especially on weekends. I hate it. I cancelled my membership and signed up at totally different gym.

Have been going to this location more and impressed with the cleanliness of this location, especially coming from the filthiest location (Waterford Lakes). However, this is the 2nd time in the last 3 weeks where I got there at 8:32 and the doors were locked. What I needed to do on both occasions only would have taken me 15-20 min. A couple of other times, we were kicked out at 8:50. I know it’s Friday but if you’re open until 9:00, stay open until 9:00!

I have been alternating between the 3 ESPORTA/LA Fitness gyms in this area since 2022. The teams at the Sanford and Lake Mary locations are way more accommodating and have better energy for gym goers trying to get a good pump and try to improve their health. If you are going to the gym to try to unwind and decompress from your day or start your day the right way, avoid the Longwood LA Fitness if you can! Unfortunately this is the closest location to my house, so go once in a while if I need a quick session, but it’s crazy how much I have to mentally prepare myself to deal with all the front desk crap… but lifting heavy weights always helps 😂

I have to say this LA fitness location in Longwood is the flag ship of all LA fitness!!! This location has great staff who go above, and beyond to take care of your needs. I've been to many LA fitness locations throughout FL, and other states but this facility in Longwood is much cleaner, and the most organized! The management is excellent 👌🏾. As a 75 year old senior citizen that was not in very good shape being warmly received and welcomed without judgement our criticism is critical to my continued motivation to train as best as I can. Update 2: They’ve e swapped back to LA fitness and there is a massive shortage of wipes. No chemicals with paper towels are being left out, you have to go ask for basic sanitation. Place is at capacity and not being cleaned properly.

UPDATE: They’ve fixed the sign in process for guests. That’s nice! The biggest issue now is the machines are WAY more dirty all the time. They’ve kept the same cleaning schedule from when there weren’t nearly as many members. I’ve updated my review from 1 star to 4.

Started out great. Now it’s a hassle to check in every single day.

They store guest information on the PC and refuse to just boop people in. Instead you get high pressure sales tactics to force you to join even though you’re a guest going with someone with a membership. We were sold on the benefit of us not having two memberships, now I get baggered every time I walk in to join.

Super disappointed with their new way of doing things.

Oh and by the way all of their memberships cost the same total for the year. So don’t sign up for more up front since it doesn’t save you anything throughout the year. They pressure you into signing up for the most expensive option upfront to get their customer acquisition cost back immediately, there are no benefits for the customer.

If you want to cancel your membership you need to come back when there is a manager. They change their hours spontaneously throughout the week and aren’t available when you go in. You can’t email them apparently.

If you’re looking for a clean gym, come on a Monday because that’s the only day their treadmills aren’t covered in 50 peoples sweat.

This pool water is constantly cold and they claim they keep it at a constant temp above 80 degrees which as you can see from my pic that is a complete lie. Everyone who swims in the morning finds this pool way too cold. I have belonged to gyms and swam for over 30 years and have never experienced issues with the pool temperature before until now. I attend LA Fitness aka Esporta group classes in Longwood, FL since October 2023 and have been impressed and feeling the best I have in a decade. I have Silver Sneakers, but this is a small monthy fee class I was reluctant to buy. It was one of the very best decisions I've ever made. Alberto is the perfect blend between understanding a senior citizen's limitations and motivating and created a special 30 minute class twice a week for us folks with or without limitations. Even though we're sad he's moving on we're happy for him as he's accepted a position at another location which sounded like a promotion. Congratulations Alberto and kudos LA Fitness for recognizing talent and a need that's missing in many fitness programs. By the way this is the cleanest facility I've ever been in! Thank you.

My advice is to only use the gym itself. So I got the trainer plan for a year, I wanted to get motivated since I had just recently become a mom and was feeling really sad about my postpartum body. They changed me several times of trainers, which for me is horrible since you’re constantly doing different working outs/exercises and you have to go over and over again to them what you want to work on and what’s your goal, bla bla. I ended up losing motivation and stopped going, felt like I was just always ending up with temporary people and wasn’t comfortable. This review really isn't for the gym, it is for the awful man in Member Service named Bear B.

I used to be a member of this club a year ago and it was great. So great that my sister got a membership there as well. Sadly I had to cancel my membership due to moving but she froze hers due to a busy schedule.

Fast forward, just last month my sister went in the gym to cancel her membership due to the constant busy schedule. She had been paying $10 a month to keep the account frozen. Bear B. (member service) told her that instead of cancelling he would give her 5 months free, convincing her to stay a member. Great sales tactic, who wouldn't want 5 months free to the gym?

My sister decided today (January 5 2024) to attempt to go to the gym but gave them a call first after noticing a charge on her card for a full month which didn't seem right after Bear B. said he would be giving the next 5 months free.

Bear B. had told my sister that he had no recollection of agreeing to giving her 5 months free and then told her that the membership could only be frozen for a year before charges would begin again. And that his hands were tied.

Upset, my sister asked for a refund instead and just to forget about the 5 months. Bear B said he could only do a partial refund and there was nothing else to do. He began to raise his voice to her and from the beginning had a nasty tone. The end result he told her was that he was going to just cancel the entire membership and somehow refund the entire amount followed by hanging up on her (how can he do nothing else... then suddenly do more?)

I found this off putting and called Bear B myself. My sister is planning a wedding and works full time, she does not need a grown man yelling at her on the phone, she called me in tears about the situation and how rude Bear B was.

The conversation began with me referencing his conversation with my sister and then asking why the account was unfrozen after a year, if online it says it can be frozen indefinitely.
He immediately raised his voice and began saying he would not speak with me if i was going to "argue" when all i did was ask a question.
I then told him I would be going to corporate with this information and he became more aggressive and offered to give me the phone number, he gave it to me and then hung up on me mid conversation.

I tried to call corporate but they are currently closed. I will be calling during operating hours.

This is truly all upsetting as i planned to get another LA Fitness membership once i moved back. I don't think that will be happening anymore.

I went to ESPORTA in longwood to help do healthy training during a high risk pregnancy. I was told by the director of fitness that two personal trainers in his gym were certified in pregnancy. I repeated how important that is for me to make sure I am doing exercises that are safe for the baby. he agreed and got me connected with a trainer. I was so excited to join and start my journey to a healthier lifestyle and to be safe. when I met the trainer she was amazing and sweet but she told me she was not certified in training pregnant women. She was just as surprised as I was about the director saying she was certified. When I confronted the director he told me that the trainer is certified to deal with the body and anatomy so it was basically the same thing that he didn’t lie. Then at the end of me telling him off about lying to me, he said that the trainer told him she was certified. Another lie. I am reporting… unacceptable

The gym itself is great. It’s clean and everything works. The reason for the 2 stars is the staff. Super pushy, extremely nosy and the personal trainer was more interested in flirting and belittling than actually training. That’s unprofessional! Another thing, learn how to read a room! If someone looks annoyed, they probably are. Stop trying too hard! Stop forcing personal trainers on people too! Some can’t afford it, it’s annoying and makes you want to take your business elsewhere!

I’ve been going to this gym for the longest and there is certainly a reason. The gym is always kept so clean which is much appreciated. Moreover, it has all the equipment I need and then some. Above it all, every staff member is beyond helpful. It feels nice to walk into the gym and to be always greeted in a respectable/ friendly way. Bear who works front desk truly makes every member feel welcomed. Highly recommend this facility ❤️

The Longwood LA Fitness/Esporta is the best. No other gym can compare to it.
Ali is awesome and all his staff are always so friendly and make you feel welcome. Alberto’s training staff are excellent. Steve is a phenomenal trainer, so professional and extremely knowledgeable.
The cleaning crew is constantly sweeping, mopping and wiping down equipment. I have never seen the gym dirty. I have to say this is the CLEANEST gym I have ever been to. The equipment is great shape, not like other gyms where things sit broken for months. I love the layout of this gym. Everything seems to just flow. The gym is definitely a strong 10!!
I would recommend this location out of all the LA Fitness/ Esporta gyms.

It's a gym. It has a lot of extras and it's well laid out. The people at the counter and the advisors are very friendly and nice. They keep the gym very clean. Someone's constantly walking around and cleaning. They do have a pool, a sauna, and a lot of other things available. Definitely worth the money if you're looking to address your physical/mental health.

Fantastic gym. They’ve been really working hard to help me meet my health goals, the trainers are always so encouraging yet kind and the place is so clean! I only wish they were open longer hours because sometimes it’s hard to fit my workout into the days schedule, but otherwise an amazing stop.
