The employee Nelson provided good initial service; however, he had said that I wouldn't pay for the annual plan, even though the contract was charging for it. When I complained, he said he hadn't said anything like that, that the amount was only for the first and last month, and that there was no annual plan. I hope he cancels the charge. At the time of signing, there's no option to read the contract; they just ask you to sign several pages without reading them.

I was promised a professional to conduct my initial training session, and to this day, no appointment has been scheduled. I feel completely cheated. This isn't fair. They promise a lot when you sign the contract, and then nothing happens.

Regarding the equipment: the treadmills where you have to put your cell phone and water bottle are filthy. The gym itself is old.

Im giving this gym a 3 because although the gym itself is fine, the management team is frustrating. I tried to cancel my an add-on to MY family plan on 4 occasions and its been impossible. First it was I had to wait for the membership manager but he couldn’t be found, then it was that their system doesn’t let them make adjustments to memberships after 5??. And then i see all the employees just gathered in the office areas, talking and laughing from when I entered and left. Like what are you even here for then? At least rerack the weights that are EVERYWHERE even the sauna. and then I finally got in touch with the manager and he said that the person had to be there to cancel because its technically their plan although they are under my family plan. I ended up having to pay for another month for my partner even though he started working for another gym that is partners with la fitness. I went in and they tried to do everything except cancel. They suggested I freeze the account and I was confused bc the account im trying to close has a free membership bc he works for a partner gym. Very frustrating experience. If youre going to workout great, but if you need to talk to anyone about your membership go to any other la fitness. I learned I can cancel online which no one told me was an option!!! I saw this on reddit. So so so frustrating!!!

This LA Fitness location has a serious problem in the locker room and sauna area. Some men openly engage in inappropriate sexual behavior, and it makes the environment extremely uncomfortable for everyone else. I go here only because it’s close to my home, but management really needs to step in and take action immediately.

Good structure: spacious, clean, and well-equipped. But management is disappointing.
I notified my trainer on Oct 4 and called the manager, Gaby Pérez Correa, on Oct 9 to cancel my PT plan. On the 21st I spoke with her again to schedule an appointment for Oct 24. Despite clear notice, they still charged me another full month on Oct 21 because I was traveling and couldn’t come in person until the 24th - just three days later.

It’s not about the money. It’s about fairness. When management is aware for weeks and still hides behind “policy,” it shows a lack of flexibility and accountability. Gaby’s demeanor and handling of the situation gave the impression she valued her authority more than the customer’s experience or her word.

Totally disappointed. They are not honest when they try to get you to sign in. They don't tell you all the fees that you will be charged for. On a top of that, the only manager that is there speaks NO English, only Spanish. So how can there be customer service provided ?
Also, you can only cancel your membership in-person only at the location you signed up for?
Totally disappointed. Will go elsewhere where I have full honesty of the charges and where I can have a clear communication.

Well, it's only been a month since I signed up. The gym is good, but the parking system has ruined me. I lost my parking ticket, and no one can help me, not LÁ FITNESS, not the parking lot. I had to pay $20 out of pocket. In other words, in addition to paying for the gym, if you lose your entrance ticket, you'll have to pay this amount. I'm disappointed.

The gym has a variety of machines (though not a hip thrust one), but dumbbells are always all over the place. There are 3 plates at the women’s restroom that have been there for at least a month. Every time I arrive, the person at the front desk asks to see my app and makes me sign in to “check if there are any promotions for me.” If you have promotions, just let everyone know and stop bothering clients who only want to be left alone and train. When you sign up, they also force you to schedule an appointment for a “free and included” physical examination, but then they try to sell you more services. Some staff are friendly, others not so much. They should also have a section with a variety of weights for women and elders, because it’s hard to train in the general area.

The gym membership is around 550-650 USD per year.

When I signed up for my membership, I was told I could bring a guest. Later, when I tried, I was told I don’t have a guest pass… The whole process has been unorganized and misleading. The facility itself is messy, dirty and poorly managed. Chris, the manager, was no help in resolving the issue. I would not recommend this location if you value clear communication and reliable service.

This gym needs to be maintained better. They run out of wipes to clean equipment frequently, no one reracks their weights. It's usually full and you have to wait to use gym equipment taken up by teens chatting. But I am writing this because the cable machine had only one rope attachment which everyone needed. Four of us had to share and by the end I just gave up and left. There is also never any soap in the bathroom and the toilets always smell awful. The sauna was broken too. I just wish they put more attention instead of trying to push discount packages which by the way we were told only happen once a year only to find out 2 weeks later a better deal posted all over the gym

This place is terrible they’ve harassed me multiple times and get off on sending me away they threatened me with law enforcement and scamming me into paying for an annual membership despite the fact I have a membership backed friend who had a promotional guest pass. Terrible customer service.
I tried to cancel my membership, and Mary, the manager, failed to handle it properly. According to them, you can only cancel in person, which is extremely inconvenient for those of us who work during their business hours. She told me to call her, but I was never able to reach her.
It honestly feels like they put up intentional obstacles just to make you pay for another month.
This kind of practice gives the impression that it’s a company-wide strategy to prevent cancellations. A complete waste of time.
It’s unfortunate because most of the staff are friendly, but these tactics completely ruin the experience.

This LA Fitness location is an absolute disgrace and one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a gym. The facility is disgustingly dirty, to the point it feels like a health hazard that should be shut down. The lockers are in shambles—broken, missing doors, with rusted hinges falling apart. The bathroom stalls and showers are equally deplorable, filthy, and completely neglected. This is the opposite of what a health club should be. Please see attached photos for evidence of these unacceptable conditions.
Located in a wealthy neighborhood, you’d expect a higher standard, but this place is a shameful embarrassment. LA Fitness should be ashamed to put their name on this facility. I strongly urge get me management. simply put disgusting and disappointing because this isn't a free club thank God I was only visiting because this definitely wouldn't be my permanent location, but whatever

They don't have the dumb bell weights in order. Very limited inventory on dumb bells. None of the staff members help put weights back onto the racks while some staff members are just sitting at there desk talk to each other. They also lack hand sanitizers throughout the gym. I like to get in and out of the gym not spend my time looking for the weights.

Y la chica de frondess con muy mala actitud me llama supuesta mente que mi tarjeta no pasó q tenía q hacer un pago yo le dije q no sabía. In terms of gyms, this one was excellent. I got the 3 day free pass and I went into this location and was helped immediately. Machines very well kept, pool and sauna running smoothly. Restrooms well kept. Overall my experience was excellent. In terms of the parking, just park in the lot and go to the 2nd floor, the gym is easy to find. And if you can’t, just ask someone ( like I did) and im sure they’ll point you in the right direction. I’ll be coming back to take advantage of my guest pass ☺️

I feel sorry to give a 3 stars to this location. It’s not about the gym itself… the gym itself is very nice, organized and clean .
I have the membership that I can go to any La fitness location and the 3 stars is due to the hectic of parking there. Parking was an odyssey. Then there were no signs that explain to you how to get to the gym from the parking garage.
It was horrible just to find the gym.

This location has had its share of poor and inept managers for years and years. The front desk and cleaning people (I don't use trainers) are typically nice and hard working individuals but they don't last long. The locker rooms are disgraceful. The pool is constantly in an open-close cycle. Avoid it if you can.

They will try to get every penny from you. Just signed up for a family membership and i wanted to add my sister to the membership (one of the reasons this was created) and they increased the monthly price for her. Apparently she needed to sign up within 3 days of creating the membership to have the same price as me, which no one told us about so we had no idea this was a thing and could happen…. Defeats the whole purpose of a family membership and why I wanted to create one. Then if you ever think about cancelling your membership, you will literally need sweat and tears to make it happen as they make it so hard for you to do so. I tried to cancel my last membership with them and had to pay for months and months and months without even going to the gym just because of how hard they make it to cancel. Thought I’d try again and that it would be different this time…..

Staff doesn't greet at the door, so I'm unsure if you need a membership to get in, just scan your parking ticket I guess.

There is no staff presence enforcing the simplicity of reracking weights, which leads to the fun game of an Easter egg hunt to find what you are looking for, the pro to that is you get your daily steps in without a treadmill.

I've never seen a staff member do their rounds to put weights away.

Would like to see management make this gym nice, it has potential and people pay decent money to come here

It has potential. Enough weights and machines. However, for a franchise gym they do not enforce any standards. People do not sanitize the machines after us, plus there is not enough sanitize wipe stations. Weights are left on the rack or in the middle of the floor. A lady doing dumbbell flys with 10lb plates left the plates in the middle of the walkway and I nearly tripped over the plates. Ive never seen anything like this at a large gym. Owners need to get involve more

This LAfitness is spacious and has good machines but there are only "1 PAIR OF 15LB" dumbbells in the who gym! 😳 same with 10lb weights. It's so hard to find any when I need Them! Also, we need more movable Benches. Such low equipment for such a large busy gym. Also, the staff isn't very friendly. They have a bunch of kids that work there and don't give a crap about anything but their pay check. 🙄 when you walk in they don't even look at you or greet you. They just look at their phones or stare at the computer screen, very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Besides that,it's 5 mins away from my house so it's pretty convenient. If it weren't for that I'd be gone along time ago.
