Costumer service great never the employees fault but I have this membership for the hot tub and pool. The hot tub is hardly ever working and not only at this location I have called other locations it is not working either. Sometimes the pool is out of service as well. This has been a problem for much too long. What are you going to do about this issue I have a gym membership at another gym to workout but I only have a membership with you for the pool hot tub and sauna which sometimes that doesn’t even work. I have upgraded my membership so I can bring a guest so I am paying for membership that I can’t even use. I think it’s only fair to credit my account. This is not quality service and let me add you are the more expensive gym on top of that.

The hot tub doesn't work well. The jets are weak, the water is cloudy, and it's not clean. The sauna doesn't provide the required heat. The health department should conduct more frequent inspections.
The machines and free weights needs updating, they're poorly maintained. You're paying a fee for which LA doesn't provide excellence.

The manager Samuel is racist and rude, yelled at and embarrassed a girl for working on her laptop in between sets and threatened to call the police. Not the first time I’ve heard complaints of him racially profiling guests he needs to be FIRED

Been going here for almost a month I wouldn't recommend unless you like working out in other people's sweat. They're constantly out of sanitary wipes this week it's been 3 consecutive days with no wipes it's absolutely disgusting.

TERRIBLE. Only giving 1 star to post the review. Signed up for the 3 day free pass online, went Friday night at about 8pm, went to the front desk to show the QR code to scan, the guy with braids that apparently said is the manager doesn’t even make eye contact and says “it’s not gonna work” I was confused thinking maybe he was talking to his coworker trying to train her or something but no, he was talking to me. He scanned the QR code and turns the computer over and says “see it doesn’t work” so I’m confused…. Like “okay what does that mean?” He proceeds to tell me I can’t get a 3 day free pass because the computer won’t allow it. I told him I went on the website, picked the location, and it literally said it’s a 3 day free pass. He basically tells me he can’t do anything about it and that he would get “ringed out” by his general manager if he gave me a pass. He told me I can pay 20 bucks for a free day pass. I said I was not paying 20 bucks, and it’s a terrible way to treat a potential new member. I had to argue back and forth with him, I was shaking and almost went into tears because of how unprofessional he was. He straight up did not care. I’ve worked at a gym before and NEVER would treat someone like that especially a potential new member. Your system issue is not my fault. After all the back and forth- I guess he realized I wasn’t backing down and said well what I can do for you is “sign this liability waiver like if I were to give you a tour of the gym and I’ll just let you work out” I signed the waiver and worked out but left a terrible terrible taste in my mouth. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I live legitimately 5 minutes away from the gym and was hoping to join but nope, I’ll make the drive to another gym that has better customer service and a better experience.

Terrible customer service, signed up for a 3 day guest pass got my email confirmation drove up here to hoop & workout, manager told us that they are taking it down and never got an email confirmation stating so. He told he us we had to either buy a membership or an overpriced 1 day pass. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all manager didn’t even know what to say about it. Also if you want to go to a good gym, Lifetime fitness or EoS gym they’ll actually work with you

Went in there today and used my guest pass that I have and was denied access due to the member not being “present” which is the first time I’ve been aware of this..

So with that being said, I tried to BUY a day pass and then the front desk clerk wanted to investigate further on the membership of the guest pass versus just getting me a day pass to work out and go on conducting my business. A gentleman named Anthony also had a attitude the whole time about the situation coming off passive aggressive versus trying to find a solution and demanded his side kick robin to check the original membership versus just doing his job and getting me my day pass i politely asked for. NEVER AGAIN

I like the gym and the proximity to my house, but the tall guy with a beard up front was the rudest person I have ever met. We walked in and approached the front desk to give our numbers (don’t have the app bc I have no more storage for this kind of stuff) and he actively looked at us with his hands crossed and kept talking to a girl off to the side. When we got his attention he rolled his eyes at us. He has treated my wife this way on MULTIPLE occasions and I didn’t believe how rude he was until now. I understand if they don’t provide physical barcodes anymore, but to be so blatantly disrespectful when a client needs a very minor accommodation is WILD to me. I am truly in disbelief. Borderline discrimination. He needs a massive attitude adjustment or customer service training. Unacceptable.

I frequent this gym often because I enjoy the benefits of using the sauna. The treadmills are outdated but I am still able to always get a good run 🏃🏾‍♀️ in. This morning during my visit the women area floors and sink area was filthy. The soap dispensers in the bathroom area rarely have soap, I always have to go to one or two sink’s before getting soap dispensed. If the Esporta staff ensured the areas were properly cleaned, I would have given an additional star. Although, I have disinfected wipes in my gym bag it’s not my responsibility to keep the gym equipment or seating areas cleaned; there is hired staff for that! Despite my complaints the staff is always friendly.

I love that I never have to fight over a workout here and I really enjoy the extra space for stretching and floor work. The facility is very clean and the machines work great and the sauna is wonderful. My only critique would be some of the "Scheduled for service" items have been listed as "scheduled for service" since before I became a member and its been some time now and the cleanliness of the hot tub is questionable...

Worst experience! My son wanted to try LA Fitness in Valrico. Deysi text us the information and was all happy to take our money. My son went the next night and didn’t feel safe there. He also said the bathrooms were dirty and some of the equipment had broken seats. I called Deysi the next day and she said to stop in to cancel. I work during the week so I went in on Saturday and she told me there is no manager and she can’t help me. I called the manager Monday morning and he cancelled the membership. He gave me a corporate number to see about a refund and instead changing us for a day pass since he was only in the gym for 30 minutes. I called corporate and she said let me look into it and call you in a few days. Far forward to today, Suzanne from corporate customer service calls and said there’s no proof that anything I said actually happened. I did everything through stopping in and phone calls so there isn’t any proof because I didn’t do it through text messages. Suzanne is supposed to call me next week so I’ll update this review then. Stay away from this location. Shady as a Florida palm tree.

Sam, the relatively new manager for this LA Fitness in Valrico, Florida, seems very committed to maintaining this facility as well as possible and addressing any issues of customers to their satisfaction as best as possible. He provided me with exceptional customer service. Also the early morning person at the front desk, Christian, is friendly and helpful. I have been going to this facility for about10 years and am very glad to see these two guys working there.

I’ve been a member of this gym for many years and have become very dissatisfied with cooperation changes! They have made it very clear they do not promote healthy lifestyles- they only interested in your money! They no longer offer cycling class and most important my previous plan could not be upgraded to offer child care for my daughter who is on my partners plan. With this said they told me I could renew my plan at almost double the price then I would be able to add child care…. Umm excuse me? No thank you! As a member of a facility for so many years and active lifestyle it took everything I had not to cancel my membership yesterday.
