Well, after a season down, it's time to write my review! Legendary Athletics has brought so much happiness to my daughter and myself! We've have gained lifelong friendships and family. My daughter came in knowing how to do a forward roll and cartwheel in June of 2021 and by March of 2022 she did her backhandspring on the cheese mat without a spot! I have to give HUGE credit to Coach Megan Scott for pushing her and giving her the confidence to be successful!! She absolutely loves her and so do I! She puts so much effort into making her girls be the best they can be, because she knows they can do it!! Overall, we've been very happy with LA and we are looking forward to our second season!

We’ve enjoyed our time at Legendary Athletics this season! This was our very first season and our girl learned so much! Her skills improved remarkably over a short time. She took tumble classes and privates with coach Megan Scott and made great gains. She was patient, firm and took the time to teach proper technique. I could tell she was really putting in the work for our cheerleader. My little one truly enjoyed going and looked forward to her practice days.

I would not recommend this place at all. My daughter had a bad experience there. She came home crying because her coach got mad and scream at her because she was not able to lift one of the girls of the class. I then notified the owner and she not only did not even tell even felt sorry for the situation or express anything, she just told me i will call you back and never did. Very unprofessional , careless and classist people, besides that horrible parking space they have, thats the least to say about this place.

As an athlete going here I would say this is the best cheer gym I have been to. Once you join Legendary Athletics you automatically become part of the family at Legendary. Would definitely recommend it for all ages.

My family and I can’t say enough about our positive experience here. We went to two other gyms before finding our forever home at Legendary. The Legendary experience is so much more than cheerleading or dance. The staff excels at teaching life lessons, manners, and appropriate conduct in real-world situations and beyond. Legendary even helped me get into college and get a scholarship! 13 seasons wasn’t enough and I still keep in touch with life-long friends that I made in the process. You will not regret choosing Legendary.

Thanks for the great coaches and staff at this gym. We are starting our 4th year here. We started with Rec cheer classes and then moved on with comp team cheer. Both my kids love the staff, environment and teams every year. The first parent meeting I attended the head coach told us he would be more proud of good sportsmanship during a competition that a first place win. That's a gym I want to be a part of! My daughter has been apart of the Legendary family for the past three years. She cheers and dances for Legendary. Both programs are EXCELLENT. At Legendary it's truly feels like family and my daughter is not just a number. My daughter created very strong bonds with other athletes and coaches. Especially her coach Megan McDaniel. The coaches are so loving. They truly put their heart and soul towards the athletes. My daughter LOVES the gym so much she wants to go on her days off. If you looking for a competitive cheer or dance gym that is loving, positive coaches, encouraging parents, and an overall great team atmosphere, then this is the gym for you. I’m really surprised by the reviews of this gym. My two daughters have been cheering for Legendary for 3 years now and we have never encountered anything of what people are saying on here. I tried putting them in multiple other programs but they always ended up getting bored and not wanting to do it anymore. They have loved cheer and Legendary from the very beginning, I love seeing them so passionate about something. At Legendary Athletics we truly have a second “cheer family”. Not only have my girls formed amazing relationships with their cheer sisters, my husband and I have gained many great friends as well. Coach Megan has been such an amazing influence on both my girls, she is an incredible coach and they love her so much. Every time they learn a new skill she videos it and sends it to me, so lucky to have her. We will forever be a part the the LA Family.

This will be my daughter's 5th season cheering at Legendary Athletics! There are two other well-known gyms closer to us, but we continue to drive to Legendary because we love the coaches and friendships we have made there. The gym is a friendly, positive environment where my daughter feels supported and challenged to be the best athlete she can be. When she struggled learning a new tumbling skill, her coaches gave her the confidence she needed to push herself and succeed. Last season was our first at Legendary and my daughter absolutely loves it! She started tumbling at Legendary mid-season 2 seasons ago to enhance her skills and so we could get a feel for the environment before switching gyms. She was never once made felt to be an outsider or unwelcome. Quite the opposite actually! We made the decision to switch gyms and it was the best decision. The coaches create a positive, fun, family environment for the athletes while teaching them the skills to be a top notch team. They are also taught to be caring, respectful and positive to other athletes, team members and competitors alike. We are looking forward to the upcoming season with our LA Family!

Legendary Athletics is one of the best cheer and dance gyms in the area. They are passionate about what they do, and who they are doing it for. They take pride in everything they teach, whether it’s cheer, dance, or life lessons. They truly care about each individual child and give a safe space for kids to feel welcomed, loved, wanted and heard. Please do not listen to some of these bad reviews, most/if not all of them come from a resentful parents or other gym owners that are creating fake accounts to make Legendary look like something they are not. Legendary is one of the best cheer & dance gyms in the area. Are there other gyms in the area that are also good? Yes. But please do not put your stock in the recent negative reviews that are attempting to make Legendary look bad. A few disgruntled parents are trying to tarnish the gyms reputation. The coaches at Legendary truly put their heart and soul into these teams. We have been with the Legendary family for 4 seasons now and I can’t imagine going to another gym.

My daughter came here with a passion for tumbling! Her skills quickly improved and she went on to cheer half then full season. She loves the friends she has made and has had an overall great experience. She goes in three days a week and wants to be there! My kids thrive at this gym. My oldest daughter started in 2nd grade and has improved tremendously as a cheerleader and dancer. My son found his passion doing hip hop last year. Legendary got him out of a funk and made him love something again.

I literally have no words to describe the love and appreciation I have for the coaches, big sisters, friends, and overall community my daughter(and I) have found at Legendary Athletics. Had been sending our kid there for parents night out for two years. It was fun and enjoyed by everyone. In those two years, we had 1 behavior issue, which was when she was 6 if I recall.

This month, she had another issue with behavior at age 7. She wasn't following the directions of one of the adult coaches. Her story of the events include her misbehaving, but add that the coach said some cruel things, and allegedly grabbed her twice by the wrist to pull her out of the gym.

I contacted the administrator to look into it, but due to the holiday break it would be ten days before getting back to me because everyone was off for a week.

Her research which I presume took place over a week after the event, was as thorough as one could expect in that she gathered statements from the adults and reviewed the limited camera angles trying to piece together the narrative.

As expected, the statements don't support my child's claims, and the cameras don't show everything, so we are left with a genuine he said, she said situation. At 7 my child hasn't started making up stories like this, and admits to her bad behavior, so she's not trying to protect herself. As far as the adults and the facility however, I cannot say the same.

They have jobs and careers, and a business to protect, so there's that. I do believe the administrator did her due diligence... But I also don't expect a business in charge of kids to admit to such an event because of the liability and impact on their business.

Our kid is no angel, but she is
well behaved for her age, gets flowing comments from teachers, and no behavior concerns otherwise. This facility has two Google reviews claiming hot tempered coaches..... Which is more than our kid.

So they said they can only go with what they have as evidence, and feel we should not have kiddo return. While I appreciate that, it's only been twice in roughly 60 visits that she had an issue, and it's only been her having a meltdown, not her harming others so we feel that's excessive.

However, considering that our child is now afraid of going back if that particular coach is there, I can't see returning anyway. We're still debating if we should involve the authorities, but given the time that's passed I'm not sure how effective that would be.

So decide for yourself, but including the two others that's now three complained about how the coaches treat the children, and at some point you have to remember that they're coaches, not child development professionals or educators.

This is the most despicable gym I have ever experienced! They have no patience w their athletes and only favor those whos parents pay extra for private lessons. I was never allowed to speak to a coach and they called my daughter the wrong name ALL season. When I got fed up and took my daughter to a different gym, they encouraged their athletes to bully my daughter relentlessly. Another parent was also physically attacked by a legendary parent at a recent competition. This gym promotes bullying, violence and bad sportsmanship. This is NOT a positive environment for children

Wonderful gym. Supportive staff. We love legendary. This gym encourages healthy competition to help your child not only grow as an athlete, but as a person. We’ve seen our daughter mature and make lifelong friends in just three seasons. Legendary supports ALL teams, ALL athletes at each and every competition. As for Sarah’s negative review, she attends another gym in the area. I’d take it with a grain of salt.

Lacey their billing person, decided that six weeks prior, she had accidentally undercharged me. While running my card without authorization for a week of summer camp that was confirmed as paid by Lacey personally, she also ran my card for a week that we were not attending camp and a week that was paid for, the price was raised and charged for that too.

While addressing these issues with their staff, I was laughed at for being upset for "such a small amount of money" apparently $290 is pocket change for the managers and employees at Legendary athletics.

I love this gym! Not just excellence with skill building but also teamwork and GREAT sportsmanship! Not to mention the awesome birthday parties you can have there as well as summer camps. I highly recommend!

Have read others posts and to say that coaches "sit around and yell at kids" is very incorrect from anything I have experienced. We have been here for 3 years and I don't see it as cold -- even from the first day we walked in. My child is not a "favorite" as some of the bad reviewers said. The coaches are engaged, LOVE their job (I don't -- I wouldn't want it and couldn't do it) and all of the families are friendly. If you're waiting for a red carpet just for showing up ... you probably need to find a gym that isn't active. But if you're going to tumble/ do hip hop or cheer... it's isn't free not matter the gym you attend.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone. When you walk in, it's a very cold and unwelcoming environment. You don't feel like you belong. Unless of course you are spending money with them and you are one of the favorites. Coaches just sit around and yell at the kids. Very unprofessional.

Would not recommend, coaches get annoyed with kids. They are not family friendly. I have a 6 year old and baby under 5 months. My child that goes 2 times a week to classes to help her get in some activity because her school doesn't offer that much PE or other physical activity.

About 2 weeks ago our 6 year got very sick. So I decided as a good parent just to keep her home from school and from extra activities and not get other people's kids sick and spread more germs around. I called today to see if we could make up the other class as I thought it was going to be no problem. Legendary did take my money in advance for all of the classes. The girl on the phone when I called in to see if there was a spot open today for the 3:30 class. Said, oh, we don't encourage makeups and it doesn't work with our program.

So they take people's money with no problem but will not let the children come to a makeup a class because she was sick. Really sad how someone can think this is ok to do to someone and take from children. I am sure that they had available in this class at 3:30. We have taken this class before. Guess it's all about the money and not the kids. Time to give our money to another business that is about the kids!

I started at Legendary as an athlete and now I am honored to now be coaching these amazing kids! Legendary has a remarkable facility with a remarkable staff to match. I have now been on both sides of the spectrum and overall I wouldn't trade this place for anything else! The staff creates a positive atmosphere for all the kids who walk through that door and seeing kids walk out of practice with a beaming smile is something you cant put a price on. My daughter started with Shine Athletics, than started with LA when they united with Lake Mary All Stars. She loves being apart of Legendary. We have all become a family. Cheering for her has become more than just about competitions. I highly recommend Legendary. The staff is amazing!
