DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER HERE. Been a member for 2 years, and that’s ending today. Today I tried to bring my sister who’s 19 and back from college with me to work out as a guest. Because I’m 17 they told me I needed a guest pass and so I needed to call the adult member (my mom) to get the pass. My mom has to work and couldn't send me the guest pass and we literally called her 20 times and stood in the lobby frustrated. The man at the front desk is so beyond passive aggressive and rude he did not give us any sympathy or kindness he was dismissive and treated me like a stranger or a danger just because I’m underage. Even after me and my sister explained that we pay so much money and my sister was a member a few months ago the younger brunette woman and man told us that “it didn’t matter how much you pay”. I’ve never experienced being treated so badly when I am a paying customer who was trying to explain myself politely. The front desk people looked at us like we were insane and crazy just because we wanted to GO TO THE GYM. Never coming back. Overpriced gym, constant construction, equipment isn’t anything special, and customer service is AWFUL.

To get rid of an NBA regulation basketball court is ridiculous. I have been to many Lifetime locations across the US and the boca location has by far the best one. To make the court into a mini one to create an indoor turf is so pathetic. you guys dont care about your members. you alreadyy have a full outdoor turf. I will not be joining and all of my friends are going to cancel. Thank you lifetime boca!!!

They are getting rid of the basketball court and downsizing heavily. for an indoor turf that nobody asked for..... It is RIDICULOUS. Whoever is running this gym needs to reevaluate or you are going to lose all your members. Beware potential new members.

Taking out the basketball courts was a terrible move. I’ve made so many good relationships playing there, and way more people play basketball than will ever use the indoor turf. Nobody asked for turf — there’s already outdoor turf! Huge downgrade and feels like Lifetime doesn’t care what members actually want.

Have been a happy member for over 2 years and the main attraction that has me paying the 350 dollar hefty monthly membership fee was basketball, which I don’t mind paying due to the great experiences I’ve had playing and the amazing people I’ve built relationships with along the way. This gym has announced that they are taking away the basketball court at the end of November to install a turf which they already have outside… If this gym actually goes through with that renovation plan I will gladly cancel my membership and I know for certain I won’t be the only business this club loses if these changes happen

I recently joined this gym, and I’ve been very impressed with the overall experience. The facility is clean, well-organized, and equipped with a wide variety of machines and free weights that cater to all fitness levels. The group classes are motivating, with skilled instructors who make workouts both challenging and enjoyable.

The staff stands out for being welcoming and attentive—they greet members by name, answer questions quickly, and create a supportive environment. I also appreciate the flexible hours, which make it easy to fit workouts into a busy schedule.

I have been going to lifetime boca for over 2 years and equinox before that. I used to love the Boca club, until now. With a revolving door of staff and managers, the club is now undergoing renovations and instead of working 3 shifts to complete as quickly as possible, they are working one day shift per day. What would’ve taken a few weeks at a club of this stature has taken over 2 months with no end in sight. Lifetime clearly doesn’t consumer their members time to be valuable as when i asked for a discount on my membership fees i was told no because i have the ability to visit the gardens location. This location is over 1:30 from Boca in am traffic. The Boca club currently has NO general manager and the men are forced to use bathroom trailers that require. Walk around the entire property. DO BETTER LIFETIME

Lifetime in Boca Raton mixes constant widespread construction and no access to huge portions of the amenities you pay $200-$250 for, with a diffident, unhelpful staff and no offer of compensation for not providing the services you signed up for while they're unavailable.

Right now there's literally no male locker room. There are no showers. It's truly unbelievable to me that there's no "Hey while this is happening we're giving you X% off the exorbitant fees we charge.

Lifetime couldn't possibly care less and their staff will absolutely blow you off about it, I'm sure because corporate I told them to.

Lifetime could be doing so much customer service to salvage the relationships they're ruining but they're chosen "

"Who cares, no one will quit or let people quit, we will get new members."

I'm sure it will work too.

I genuinely wish I could be writing a good rating about this place but I cannot.
I go to the lifetime in Palm Beach Gardens, and this gym compared to that lifetime location looks like a rundown LA fitness.
Everything is outdated. Including but not limited to: the lockers, bathrooms, spa, front desk, machines, etc. (I saw a sign saying they are getting new lockers but my point stands). Also have the shelves were toweless.
What really stood out to me was the vibe and layout. Atrocious. The lighting sets the tone and gives it a weird vive. I also came at 7pm on a weekday and it feels like a ghost town (in this case a con). The layout is simple terrible too. Why is the different strength training equipment so separated? Why is the basketball court smack down in the middle? Where we can see and hear everything that goes on. Why am I doing my cardio facing an ugly tile wall?
At the PGB location, doing cardio you get to see a solid layout of the gym and plenty of TVs playing news, sports, etc.

I’m not sure how much a membership here is but honestly if it’s anything more than $150, maybe reconsider. I’d encourage you to try out the PBG location and see how it compares because I mean it, it’s a night and day difference.!

Used to be nice back in 2014 when the price justified the amenities. I have recently returned to this club this year after getting my membership from my Apartment in Chicago River North gym. It is absolutely appalling to see the condition of this gym in the year of 2025 and thinking they have the audacity to charge members $330 a month to use this club.
- The layout is horrendous.
- Free weight are crammed near the bench presses and not in front of mirrors.
- No secluded space to do core workouts. Have to do it in middle of walkway on the top floor or by the doors in the second floor
- Have to alternate between 2nd and 3rd floor for machines and free weights
- Disgustingly outdated lockers and spa area
- Outdated equipment and many more issues

Usually not a picky person but for a gym that charges $330 a month the condition is totally unacceptable.

Can't wait until they lose members to Equinox

Annika (Boca yoga teacher) groped my chest with both hands for about 10 seconds & leaned in my ear & she said, "You're lucky it's not your balls!"

I told Julie at the Concierge team the next day on Monday. Anna Makeupson, her boss, said she wrote her up & if she does it again, she will fire her. After Anna told me I should have stuck up for myself?? Anna said that Annika is their best teacher & is moving to California in 3 months anyway. So they did nothing.

After 30 days, I made a police report. Anna lied to the cop & said I never mentioned anything physical happened, only a complaint for inappropriate comment was made by me. I complained after it happened & mentioned how she lightly slapped my face too. Anna also told the police that Annika did a "pre-class breathing exercise where she adjusted my shoulders." That was a total lie. Lastly, they got someone from the class, as a witness, who told the cop she did not see Annika do anything wrong, in efforts to discredit my story.

Annika has slapped mine, and my partners ass in class (which I mentioned to Julie & Anna). Annika is rebellious & pushes the envelope. Often using the "F" word frequently.

I received a call from Susan (Palm Beach Gardens General Manager) & was told Annika is "no longer with Life Time" and could I not speak to anyone about this event. I asked for a billing reprieve then. 3 weeks went by after Susan said she would speak with concierge services and get back with me. I saw Susan at the Boca club on a Monday & introduced myself. Susan then told me they do not give any credits & would not be doing anything for me. They are happy with their decision. I told I was not happy. I called corporate & was told I can quit without waiting the 30 day period. That is it. Anna is an unethical liar who did her best to cover this up & brush it under the rug.

I am very disappointed with the way this was handled & at no fault of mine, I am not a member. I used this in Michigan & Florida (as I travel to Michigan for business monthly). I have hired a lawyer so that I am happy with this outcome, rather than asked not to discuss it, like a victim.

Boca Raton facility allows creepy TOUCHING & GROPING. They will do their best to cover it up, like they did mine.

I usually enjoy my classes at Lifetime, but recently I attended a yoga session where the mats had a strong unpleasant odor (like feet), which made it hard to relax- I actually had to leave early. I brought this up, received a response about cleaning protocols, but it seems like no one actually checked the mats in person. I'm leaving this review in hopes that more attention is given to follow- through, not just protocol on paper.

Whyyyyy would you get rid of the spray bottles. Now no one wipes machines down after use. There’s only two of those little wipe dispensers in the main lifting area and half the time they’re empty. For over $300 a month I think we deserve spray bottles.

I’m extremely disappointed with the way Lifetime Fitness Boca Raton handled my recent experience. After having my wallet stolen—which included cash, credit cards, and IDs—I brought the issue to management (Laz and Susan). All I received was a simple “I’m sorry.” As an Executive Member for four years, I expected more attention and care, especially for loyal members.

I wasn’t looking for reimbursement, but I did expect them to do right by me—at the very least, to take my situation seriously and show some real concern for member security and satisfaction. I understand there are protocols to follow, but exceptions can and should be made when the situation calls for it.

Sadly, that was not the case here. If you’re considering joining, be aware: customer satisfaction and member loyalty do not seem to be priorities at this location. After four consecutive years as an Executive Member, I’m extremely let down by the lack of support and attention from management.

If you want a gym that sometimes decides the air shouldn't be put on, has a septic smell throughout the gym and locker rooms (truly horrid) and have someone ALWAYS on the machines you want to use then definitely sign up. I joined a month ago and after 3 weeks, I couldn't do it anymore. Finding a new gym ASAP. You would think Boca would have the nicest Lifetime out of them all.... well try the worst. Pool is old and boring compared to the other beautiful locations, machines are old from decades ago.... Etc. Shocked at how this is a "Lifetime gym." It really just gives LA fitness vibes at best. It's a shame because I really wanted to love this place. I refuse to pay $250 every month for this.

Lifetime Fitness positions itself as a high-end luxury gym. However, its current state is anything but reflective of that experience, both visually and in terms of customer service. Right now, the gym is under heavy construction, both inside and outside the building. This work has been ongoing for months with no compensation or courtesy discount to members.

Recently, a gas line break caused a full-week shutdown of the entire club. Members were offered a one-week credit toward their next bill - nothing more.

I attempted to resolve the matter directly with both the local club and the corporate office. I explained my frustration with paying full price while the club was under significant construction and was told by in club staff: “Other members pay more than you.” When I asked to speak to a manager, I was offered the option to email her and was basically told, by implication, that nothing much would be done.

Calling corporate was just as unproductive. I was told I had the option of freezing my membership — which would mean paying around $35 a month to hold my spot with no access — or continuing to pay full price to access the premises, regardless of the construction.

Quite frankly, I find it appalling to be treated this way and that Lifetime does not seem to care about the customer experience. I am looking for another gym and will not be returning.

If you want to pay over $200 a month to walk into a construction site, be my guest. Not my cup of tea.

PREMIUM PRICE, BASIC PRODUCT
I am a relative new member here, and i am quite shocked how poor the offering is, given the price i am paying. I am only a member for location convenience. The issues are endless, but here is a basic summary:
- The gym is terribly designed and has not been updated in decades.
- Resistance machines are spread out, on different floors, and opposites ends of the gym. The free weights are not directly in front of the mirrors.
- No padded floor area to do stretching/abs etc. They provide limited mats, but these are not padded.
- The gym is MASSIVE, yet there is 1 set of dumbbells for weights above 50lbs, and 1 TRX. This is madness!
- The benches are old and wobbly. This is DANGEROUS
- NO ViPRS indoors. i hear there are apparently some on the field. No-one is trying to walk 15 mins to the field, to workout in the 90F heat.
- The locker rooms are so dated, and the soap is watered down. For this price point, the locker rooms should be pristine, with high end toiletries.
- No covered walk from parking lot. This is S Florida. It rains a lot.
- I have experienced one very unpleasant experience with a rude personal trainer
- More memberships options should be offered for those that only use the gym (and not other facilities).

I really hope management sees this review, and does something about it. I am on the verge of leaving for the Planet Fitness 10 mins down the road which is a fraction of the price, and no different in quality.

UPDATE: the gym regularly closes for no reason. I've never been to a gym that closes so frequently outside of holidays.

Lifetime should be ashamed of how they operate this location. The staff has been so unfairly treated, neglected, and disrespected. The lack of appreciation and respect for the very people that keep this location running is ridiculous. The conditions that these employees have had to deal with is UNACCEPTABLE. The various managers who have been in charge in the past year have only created more issues and have no common decency and respect. Management is completely unprofessional. Change needs to be made.

Avoid if you want to work out. Have been coming to this gym the better part of the past two years with my wife, and she's the reason I still come around. Unfortunately, the only facility around the area that offers a steam room and sauna, along with a great Olympic size pool and outdoor pool areas, perfect for someone in need of these amenities, like a post surgery person. Yet, amenities can go so far when you have to deal with some issues that can only be a result of inadequate management. The front desk staff is very helpful, but on the floor is another story. Some of the items to point out are HUGE wall dust balls on the wall behind the elevator on the third floor and multiple cases of people having conversations on the floor, right next to staff. Another major issue is kids that are allowed, new, and encourages to mingle with members in the locker rooms, on the gym floor, and apparently even on the basketball floor. With 4 aerobics closed rooms, one would think that their "members kids" workout sessions would be held there, but no. On a Saturday night, one van witness about two dozen kids screaming and shouting on the basketball floor, and when a member closed the door to the workout are to keep the noise down, a gym staff member opened it again so their shouting can be heard in the cable machine area! And as my wife noticed, kids under 7 are hanging out with their parents in the whirlpool area with their mother, fighting each other. Yes, it is the only place in Boca Raton that may appear somewhat upscale, yet the loud hip hop music in the locker rooms adds a certain flair that is anything but. Yes,it has a great coffee room, yet when you have kids running around, it is apparent their parents don't have to deal with them: Other members do. Time to look elsewhere.

I was super pumped when I saw they were doing some work to the spa area not too long ago but to my surprise they just changed the wood out of the sauna (not bad but) the whole building needs to be teared down & built new. Cons - Front staff are not welcoming or warm. The child care area is extremely small, should at least have an indoor playground. It’s almost as if the lifestore took space from the child care area. LifeCafe servers are not friendly and do not even greet you. Not even a smile or thank you.
You could hear the basketball court the entire time working out. Machines are very close together on the second floor. There is no place to stretch.
There’s a turf outside but it’s hot here in Florida to workout outside, let alone stretch outside .

Pros - The amenities like indoor and outdoor pool are great. The locker room and bathroom seems nice. I enjoy the steam room sauna and cute little hot tub. Those perks are always a plus.

it hurts to say because the people that work there are really nice so i feel bad leaving a pretty average review but i mean well….this gym is pretty average. for a lifetime at least. first of all, it’s always just crowded no matter what because they let all of the college kids and basketball rec teams or whatever they have going on take over the gym and they’re always so loud. i can hear them over my powerbeats. not only that but they only have 2 true squat racks upstairs right, so they started adding more squat racks to the downstairs room (yay!) so problem solved..? no. not problem solved. they have like 8 or so squat racks down there with absolutely no mirrors. what’s the point of that? the yoga is the only real thing i miss. and if you really time it right, you can go there around like 1-3 and it won’t be as packed. pretty tight time slot tho. and me personally, i can’t always do that. it’s still probably the best in the area compared to all the other gyms, but sadly boca/delray area/ south florida really in general lacks very heavily in that sector as far as quality goes. i wish they’d at least stop letting everyone train at the gym who isn’t a member so the paying members could work out in peace. if they’d cut that out plus just add mirrors to the squat rack room again, i’d consider coming back. but like i said - it’s average. 2 stars (3 if it were a regular gym, but it’s supposed to be a lifetime so…)

I go to the Lifetime at Boca Raton on a regular basis during the week. Love the fact that it has a wide variety of equipment, classes, ample parking and friendly staff. What's troublesome for me is the constant use of cellphones in the locker room area. From people taking selfies in the changing room while others may walk around undressed, to smart phones browsing in the sauna room. These modern devises could have camera running in the background. I've voiced my concern a few times with the gym staff but nothing has changed. It has become a daily encounter. Although no cell phone use signs are posted all over the locker room area, without enforcement, a rule is as good as none.

I’ve been going to this gym for almost 10 years now. Crazy for me to think that, but I have a lot to share first of all start with Daniel and Eric are absolutely amazing. They truly care about peoples, life’s, the journey that they go through, and support them 100% of the way. The facility, however in my opinion needs some drastic renovations. A lot of the equipment is outdated. The benches in front of the dumbbells are very wobbly and feel unsafe towels in the locker room are cheap and uncomfortable and the facility is a little crammed with all the members that are currently There. I believe a little bit of revamping and the place could be magnificent. The reason I leave four stars are not two is because of the history and achievements that I’ve had during my life at this facility and for the appreciation of the hard-working staff. This message is really to corporate, put some money into the facility and let it live up to the Lifetime name.

It is with regret that I leave this negative review, hoping it will prompt Lifetime Fitness to take meaningful action. The membership cost at this location is $230, and having visited several Lifetime Fitness centers across the country, I must say this one is the least impressive.

To start with the equipment: many machines are rusty and clearly outdated. The air quality here is poor, which is particularly surprising given Lifetime’s reputation for maintaining a pleasant environment. On busier days, the gym becomes stuffy and unpleasant, filled with the smell of sweat and humidity.

The sauna, steam room, and hot tub are all notably undersized, crammed into a small space in each locker room. To put it gently, these facilities are in dire need of a complete renovation.

Cleanliness is another significant issue. I visited on Saturday and Sunday evenings when the gym is less crowded, expecting to find an improvement, but was disappointed. The garbage bins were overflowing, paper towel dispensers were empty, sinks were covered in water spots and hair, mirrors were streaked, bathroom doors were stained, and the showers were left with old towels and appeared unclean.

The only redeeming feature is the outdoor pool, which, although thoughtfully decorated, is quite small and situated next to a busy street, resulting in constant noise that undermines any attempt at relaxation.

The staff is generally pleasant, which suggests that the issues stem from higher-level management decisions. This location feels like a poorly executed attempt to repurpose an older facility rather than a new build that meets Lifetime Fitness’s usual standards. For a better example of what a Lifetime Fitness membership should offer, I recommend looking at the Lifetime Fitness in Lake Zurich, IL.

I recently joined Lifetime Boca and have been quite disappointed with my experience. Firstly, the monthly membership fees are high, which would be justifiable if the facilities were up to par, but unfortunately, they are not. The building is old and clearly in need of some serious renovations. It's disheartening to pay such a premium price for a gym that feels outdated and poorly maintained.

One of my biggest frustrations is the lack of indoor pickleball courts. Pickleball is a rapidly growing sport, and it’s surprising that a facility like Lifetime Boca hasn't kept up with the demand. They have plenty of basketball courts, so why not convert them into indoor pickleball courts?

Really can’t stand the people that work here. Woke up this morning to a five month old with 103° fever and needed to cancel my appointment at the nail salon which wasn’t until 10 and I started calling them at 8 o’clock. They refused to let me cancel it and asked if I could bring my sick child in at a later time today really don’t understand why these snotty people have the audacity to ask a mom to bring a sick kid into a gym facility. That’s so unsanitary. Along with everybody else’s attitude and the outdated workout equipment here I can definitely say after going to six other life times that this is one of worst.

I was a guest here with a friend who has a membership. It’s insane that he pays close to $300 a month for this place. First of all, it’s severely outdated and needs a renovation. You can see the wear and tear in the facility, and the look and feel is from the 2000s. Secondly, the A/C is broken—and according to my friend, for quite some time now—on the third floor, making it feel like a sauna up there. It was impossible to work out on that floor. How there was a basketball game going on up there is beyond me. The machines are TechnoGym here and there, but mixed with a good amount of Life Fitness machines that you’d find at any LA Fitness. I get the feeling that the facility cheaped out and did not purchase all TechnoGym machines to save money. The locker room is clean but, again, if I were paying close to $300 a month for a gym, I want it to be updated. I’ve been to family owned gyms in Boca that have better equipment and are updated more than this place.

Wow, what an amazing experience at this lifetime
I've been to a few big ones in the past, but the first time I experienced this location.
It's probably the cleanest lifetime I've ever been to. I noticed the staff was constantly picking up towels, cleaning machines, and the spas.
Very impressed. I also had a great interaction with one of the managers, Danielle. She also showed me around the facility and encouraged me to check out their pool. All the other staff always had smiles and said hello when walking by each other. Maybe it was because it was great weather, but i had to give my props to the staff running this location!

I am a lifetime member from Annapolis MD. I called this facility while I was visiting Coral Springs,FL because I could not sign up for a class on my app and wanted to see if they can accommodate me for one day one class. I am about 20 minutes drive from this location and could not go there everyday if I even want to. Most lifetime gyms accommodate other location members even if they are different tier but not this location. The person I spoke to stated that I needed to upgrade and peg the difference in my membership and that’s the only way I can get into the specific class I estén to attend for one day during my visit. I never had this issues at any other lifetime locations, for a fact my husband was at midtown manhattan location last week and was able to attend a class with no issue and the lifetime gym even though was hire their than our gym. No customer service and I would have given 0 stars if I could. This is jot the way to treat lifetime members, we don’t select out gym tier but we at least expect some sore of accommodation.

I have been a Life Time Boca member since 2021, the gym staff has always been great! The girls up front are gorgeous, Daniel and Dave at the front desk are very friendly, well dressed, and always tend to my needs/requests. The workout classes are cool, I attended some of them, and most of the trainers are nice & attractive.

Unfortunately, the gym itself is deteriorating, NOT WORTH $200+ A MONTH & here's why:

-Dead cockroaches in the parking garage, old nasty gum ALL over the garage floors, parking garage has NEVER been pressure washed, what is management spending our membership dues on???

-NO more exclusivity, I signed up for this gym years ago because it was considered "elite" & only certain groups of ppl were members, but now it seems as though ANYONE and EVERYONE can join

-There's an infestation of high school & college kids now, it feels like I'm training at Crunch Fitness, not Lifetime Athletic

-"Clean" towels have random permanent stains on them, DISGUSTING, they should be thrown away & brand new ones should be purchased, this gym makes millions of dollars a year!

-Equipment is broken and left UNREPAIRED for WEEKS at a time, I remember years ago when equipment would get fixed by the next day

-They have NO staff walking around and re-racking weights like they used to when I first joined this gym, we pay nearly $300 a month, again where are our membership dues going? REINVEST IN THE GYM!!!!!!!

I have frozen my membership and am most likely going to cancel the entire thing and find a cleaner, newer, nicer gym that fits my standards.

LT was nice for a season but now it's getting a little ghetto.

This location received this score for the simple fact that they do not reinvest in their facilities. This is the most outdated and underwhelming LifeTime in the company and I frankly do not understand how corporate allows them to operate as a LifeTime. My entire family and I pay for an Executive Membership that fails to live up to its lofty price. They removed the free monthly car wash, reserved parking spaces and the locker room is frequently under stocked with towels and other hygiene items. If there was a comparable product in the Boca Raton area, I would leave tomorrow and I believe LifeTime knows there is no competition and is not compelled to reinvest into amenities like cold plunges, updated saunas, adequate number of lifting platforms, etc. in order to keep their members happy. The saving grace of this location is the staff. If you frequent this gym, you will see that most of the staff are genuine people that care for their members. BUT if they don’t reinvest into their facilities, their membership base will take a MASSIVE hit as soon as a competitor enters the area. Update the locker rooms, install a cold plunge, update the sauna/steam rooms, have more than two squat racks and three flat benches and fix equipment in an orderly fashion.

I just recently moved to Delray and am looking to join a new gym. Got a guest pass online and unfortunately it expired, completely my fault, but with the holidays and traveling I just wasn’t able to make it in. So I tried today, told them my guest pass expired, and they wouldn’t let me try out the gym unless I spent $150 on a membership. They would not let me even TOUR the gym before committing to the membership because they were too “busy” at that moment. They also declined my offer to pay for a guest pass out of pocket. Very disappointed at the customer service here. They had a willing customer at the front desk who was genuinely curious in a membership, and the situation was handled horribly. Will not be going back.

I have been to at least 35 different lifetimes all over the country and just started personal training at one of the Chicago locations. I can confidently say that the boca location is the most crowded, outdated, and poorly managed. Not only that, but you will have to deal with cranky retired elderly people complaining every corner you turn. Also, I had witnessed what sounded like 2 men part taking in extremely loud intercourse in the locker room showers right before close. Worth mentioning, just in case you’d like to avoid that scene. Lifetime keeps deleting all reviews regarding the inappropriate shower action, but I really feel people should know that’s what they are signing up for before they pay $200+ to witness such a thing…

I do not belong to this Lifetime, but I am a LT member in PA and my review is in comparison to 8 different Lifetimes in three states. This one has to be the worst managed. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt here - maybe it's the time of the year, but I have no idea why anyone would pay $200+ a month to come here when there are likely better options in the area.

To the gym's credit, it has an excellent selection of equipment. Lots of specialized stuff you won't find at a standard big box, like a belt squat machine. That's about where the perks ended for a gym-goer like me, who's focused on body building. (Note - I did not scope out the pool, pickleball courts, classes, locker room, etc.)

The layout is just weird. There is a huge basketball court in the center of the gym, which makes for a lot of crowded equipment in the perimeter of floors 2 and 3. I had to go up and down and up and down to get my workout in. Several pieces of equipment were broken, and EVERY single one of them had plates loaded on it from a previous user. It's really crowded with people too; not only around the typical hours, like after work, but in the middle of the day too.

I went to the cafe to get a shake and the girl taking my order seemed like she couldn't wait to finish so she could go back to watching a video on her phone. I asked one of the guys on the 3rd floor where the attachments for the cable machine were and he told me they are in the cubby holes along the walls (which they weren't).

Bottom line, if you're doing a short stint at this gym, it's fine, albeit a little frustrating. But I would not recommend this gym as your permanent fitness home.

The gym is spotless and fully equipped for a productive workout. The classes are fantastic, especially with Shea and Berendet as lively, energetic, and fun instructors. However, there is room for improvement. Luis at the front desk is NOT very friendly, and his responses to questions can be off-putting. He makes me feel incompetent every time I ask a question. I suggest organizing pickleball sessions based on skill levels for a more enjoyable experience, similar to how other lifetime locations handle it. IE: 3.0-4.0 at one time 4.0 and up at another time and beginners at another time. Additionally, adding dry shampoo to the women's locker room would be a great post-workout amenity.

Update and reply to owner's response:
Though I canceled my membership I still have some time until my membership ends. So I visited the club yesterday with my friends. Do you think the owner did something about cleaning anything from my original review? Think again. The outside pool ground surface is so dirty that is not safe. I was with my kids at the pool and my daughter slipped and fell just by walking on it. The loungers still dirty. I was embarrassed in front of my friends for this "luxury" place. Question to the owner, do you really want to know my perspective? You are providing a gym experience that is not matching with your membership rate. You want to know more? read my original review again. I knocked one more star because the management did nothing after acknowledgement of the problems in a 2 week period. Something as simple as checking the pool area and hiring a pressure cleaning crew could have been accomplished with a decent management.

Orinal review: I very much wanted to like this place. It has things that I thought I would use but unfortunately for the money I spent on membership it just didn't meet my expectations. I liked the concept and the layout, the space, but again I learnt that a business is as good as the people who work directly with the customers. Let's start with the PROS:
Large space inside and outside
Large inside pool for laps
Large outside pool for family and friends or just me time
The pools are not overcrowded
Large crossfit area and equipment.
Steam and dry saunas.
Nice landscaping and outside lighting at the pool.
Showers have shampoo, conditioner, bodywash.
Yoga teachers are awesome
Personal trainer Alexander was awesome at giving me a tour and I really wanted to have him as my trainer.
There is a kids club where you can drop off your children while working out
The lounge area is cute and the guys there are friendly.
CONS:
The outside pool area needs pressure cleaning
Sun loungers are dirty from dust or trees (hard to tell)
The kids sitters are not well trained to handle a 3 yo and I was pulled from my classes on several occasions to talk to him. My friend told me that same thing happened to her child. She's no longer a member either. The sitters use that monotone robotic tone when talking with children which doesn't work for many children. Parents will understand what I mean. My son at the end just told me he doesn't like in the kids club.
There are too many miserable elderly customers who just can't mind their own business and leave me alone . Instead, they complain too much.
After interacting with so many negative situations I didn't feel like going there anymore. I had to cancel my membership.
I would consider other high level gyms.

This gym has everything you need: two swimming pools, basketball, yoga room, pickleball/tennis, two floors of weights, pilates, and more! However, compared to other Lifetime gyms, the building and equipment are very outdated. The locker rooms are not cleaned well and smell bad. The men’s bathroom is next to where people are showering and cleaning up and it usually smells bad. The bathrooms should be better separated from the general locker room. The membership price is not cheap and there is little to no value in this membership. Compared to other Lifetime gyms, this gym is a 2 on a 1-10 scale.

Update to lifetime response: I’ve called multiple times, left my name and phone number more than once, emailed the manager (because I was told he checks that everyday) and STILL no response. So reaching out doesn’t do anything, as I stated in my above review. Hence, the problem I’ve been having for months.

Terrible customer service. I’ve called multiple times to speak with the manager in the personal training division and have never received a call back and it always goes to voicemail. No one else apparently knows anything to help me and never wants to assist with the problem. Instead they want to give you the run around and expect you to just forget about the issue. Do not buy any service/package from them unless you want to be disappointed.

Long over due review but can’t believe this location is so highly rated. I am a founding member of one of the Lifetimes in NY and was utterly shocked when members at this location pay almost the same for WAY less. Super outdated equipment, not enough deep cleaning and the class options are not as great.

It’s insane they have so many members and haven’t done a complete renovation to align to their other clubs in the same price range. Also, I visited 3 days within a two week time period earlier this year and watched as a dead lizard and other bugs in the stretch area stayed there. They really have a cleaning problem like others mentioned.

Now that I’ve moved down to South Florida full time I will be finding a new gym. Very disappointing compared to NYC and ATL locations, even Ohio is better.

While I like the variety of spaces and equipment all too often spaces are being used for what seems to be college teams training. I check the app for when spaces like the turf and alpha room are open only to be met with full training camps taking place. Additionally several machines are worn out and need upgrades. It also feels like this location is seriously lacking in class offerings compared to other location.

Editing for today Nov 9, 2023: it is incredibly frustrating to schedule and plan my workouts at the gym specifically to use the alpha space only to come in today at 1 to find the room is being used for a meeting for the trainers. I religiously check the app to make sure the room is available, the least you guys can do is put the info on the app. (I was informed that I could use the room, I tried but was too self conscious making noise or breathing loudly to workout while 15 trainers sat around waiting for a meeting). Literally all I’m asking is that if a space is occupied you please put it in the app so people don’t plan their day around using an occupied space in the gym. There’s literally only two squat racks on the third floor and for many other reasons, myself and others rely on that space.

I believe this to be the best gym in Boca. The staff are friendly and they offer a wide range of services from spa to a small cafe. The layout does lack a lot of mirrors where you would want them. The facility is clean and the other members are respectful. I really wonder what other clubs these reviewers giving 5 stars have been to. They don't say hello and use your name when you walk in. The management is not great they have assistants call you back instead of them personally reaching out to you.. Young kids lock the lockers so that you can't use them. Can't they install cameras to address these teens. Or check every hour and see who is in the club when they are doing it. A lot of the weight machines are old and rusty. Unfortunately it could be much better than what I experienced. The gym is too hot at any given time. The yoga classes are great but there’s a musty smell in the room and very little air circulation. The upstairs use of equipment and constant weights dropping makes the yoga very y enjoyable. The gym equipment is not efficiently laid out and need to bounce between floors and sections to get a workout in. Equipment is dated and some are even rusty. The jacuzzi has a ton of chlorine to the point your eyes are burning. The showers are sub par and rusty. The staff takes weeks before responding to any emails you send them so don’t even bother. Honestly for the price of the monthly membership I expected better quality. I’ve been a member at this gym now for 5 years consistently. It breaks my heart to say that today I’ve canceled my membership indefinitely. As a business owner I’ve been inspired by the best of business's that put their customers first especially if that means to assist a long time loyal customer. Anyone that has been here knows their member ship is not cheap with reason. They provide towels and many other amenities.

After bringing 2 friends that signed up for memberships one being my brother and another being a close friend. Long story short unexpected minor conflicts arose on my account due to additions and adjustments brought by the 2 new members.

After speaking with Dan he made it clear in his own frustrated manor that he could not do anything. Being a long time member I understood that there was no point in trying to come to a conclusion as they have a bigger office to report to up north. He advised I called them directly.

All I have to say is the corporate office has Zero consideration for there south Florida clients. I understand guidelines but if you’re going to pay over $1,000 for any membership a year and a company has zero procedures to help long term , loyal clients it’s not worth your money.

Ps. The construction in this building is beyond out dated and hazardous in some areas. Since they make zero exceptions and aren’t willing to lose $100 to save a 5 year membership that brought them a few thousand they are not worth it. Never thought it’d come to this. But sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

The facility is clean and it is like a family and a community. There is a healthy café, bio station, boutique, indoor and outdoor pools and tons of classes at different levels. My husband and I love Lifetime in Boca and if you travel you can access their other gyms or do a virtual session. One really needs to take a tour to see all the amenities that are available. Congrats to all the staff and management here. Stellar job!

If you want a real Lifetime experience go to the Gardens location NOT the Boca. One of the membership team had no empathy, compassion or any skills to make you feel valued. Plus please be aware the parking garage has no cameras, even after a bad theft that occurred there. They simply don’t care for anything but your money!

From Chicago visiting family and decided to hit a couple lifts while I’m down her and by god if this isn’t one of the sickest lifetimes I’ve ever been to. Staff is very friendly and just the lifetime experience I expected. 11/10 would recommend

Great place to play Pickleball in Boca Raton. They have nice programs for members and guests. Most players are novice to intermediate level of play. They also have a lot of social programs and lessons for people looking to learn or improve their game. Membership is about $200/month

Life Time fitness has gone down a lot in quality. We've been members since 2017 and we're currently on a family plan in Framingham. I came down to the Boca location to work out while I took care of my grandma for the month. They quoted me a small increase to use the gym service for the month--which was fine. At the Boca office they promised that we'd be able to keep our current rate when we went back to Framingham. Instead, they increased our membership fees almost $100 without telling us and they have refused to make any changes. The Boca office told us to call the main office, the main office told us it was in the hands of the Framingham office, and the Framingham office told us to talk to the office in Boca. There is zero accountably. We pay a premium for a luxury gym experience, and considering what we already pay for the family, it's mind blowing to be given so many problems and such bad customer service. This gym has become more of a headache than a pleasure. It's gone down in quality and we're just treated like numbers that give them money every month, instead of loyal members that have been using their services for years. For the quality/price index there are better gyms in the area that do more for their clients. It's been WEEKS and they still haven't resolved our issues. Things are fine until you experience problems at Life Time, and all the sudden you feel like you're working with a budget/low-cost gym.

This location is incredibly disappointing. It looks more like an old YMCA center than a luxury gym. They should gut the whole place and redo it properly.

Anyone who has been a member at Equinox or other Lifetime locations would understand my sentiment.

Bring pleny of water because their water taste like sewer. Their sunday noon, flow yoga is awful, it is like a marathon, everyone work on their own, the instructor is there just screaming, so you actually leave the class very frustrated to say the least.

Brianna was absolutely rude at the front desk. I used to be a member of lifetime sky in nyc. Never did I experience this kind of rude service. For a price point around a car payment a month, the people who work at lifetime should be friendly and their customer service should be excellent. Hers was not.

Lifetime Fitness is all about the money, not about the client!

Over the past few years, the gym has become increasingly money driven. Rates have gone up to nearly $200 a month and services continue to decline. Group classes that are included in your membership are getting cut back and being replaced with classes you must pay extra for. If this isn’t bad enough, instead of holding the pay extra classes in designated rooms or out of the way areas. They hold them in high traffic areas and block other members from accessing. The restrooms/locker rooms are often not tidy and unstocked. They rent out the parking lot for special events to a nearby golf course, leaving little or no parking for gym members. I could go-on-and-on, but you probably get the point.

With that said… the diminishing services and the increased cost is one thing. The “arrogant and indifferent” attitude of the club management is another. If you ever ask about parking or if are they going to add classes back or even give a mere suggestion… you will get nowhere… other than to be ignored, treated with indifference, or with an arrogant attitude.

Well… this is one member that won’t be treated that way anymore! After 10 years of being a member and spending over $20,000 in dues, I had enough and cancelled my membership!

I am visiting from New Jersey and visited the Boca Raton Lifetime. I had a great workout in Barbell strength group class. I would definitely return. I was surprised to see that while working out you see a kids camp next door and the studio was hard to find (cut through) the basketball court. The setup in NJ Lifetime is a bit more private and the lights are lowered a bit while working out to get more of a party feeling atmosphere with the music pumping.

Also maybe it’s just the space limitations but the entrance wasn’t as an open feel and other parts seem to not flow well.

Great people there with friendly attitudes and great trainers!

My wife and I just started coming to this lifetime and what a difference between them and other gyms in south Florida! I mean you go to other gyms and they’re so dark and dirty it makes me never want to go to the gym. But this club is light/open, staff has been great so far, and it’s clean. We love the pickle ball area and the newly redone turf. My one complaint so far is that they need to unlock the sheds with all the equipment on the tuff so we have more at our disposal! I just wish they offered a first responder discount if some sort to help bring the price down a bit (but still worth the money). Bravo!

Great parking and friendly staff! I think it would be nice if the gym had more than one full length basketball court. Had they built the courts going perpendicular to the current setup and make the building a little wider or move the cycling room, I think it would much more inviting and useful.

The customer service provided at lifetime fitness is second and none. I lost my bag in the men’s locker room and feared it was taken. The manager on duty Dan, had the entire closing staff searching the men’s locker room for 20 minutes past closing and my bag was successfully found. They really do care about their members and will go above and beyond to make them happy.

This rating is for the lack of customer service at the front desk.
We are a member of Lifetime in the Northeast.
My daughter and I are on vacation in Florida and My daughter (who has a Signature membership) was told she cannot come in and exercise because the memberships are different.
I understand the membership concept.

We were explained that we needed to "convert" the existing membership for the two days my daughter would've exercised here. It would've meant canceling our membership up north and opening a new membership here and then reconvert to the Northeast membership.

I would've gladly paid a day pass if the price would have taken in account the fact that my daughter is already a member.

Customer service = 0

I would understand the price if it offered the same amenities, equipment, layout, hours of operation, nice staff, and class schedule as the other lifetimes within the same price range. But this doesn’t compare. This is by far worst layout of a gym to get a solid workout. Not functional at all. You are always competing for frequently used equipment rather than just purchasing more so your guests can have access to more than 1 piece of equipment. Most lifetimes are 24hrs, opening at 5am is actually too late for me and forces me to rush and then my workout conflicts with class schedules that start at 6. Bathrooms are on the 1st floor but weights are on the 3rd floor?! Doesn’t make sense. The personal trainers are SUPER rude. I was appalled at the attitudes they gave others, me included, to a point where a man intervened and stopped the blonde trainer from continuously being rude, interrupting my workout, moving my personal belongingings, and thinking she had the right to do whatever she pleases bc she has a client. Just doesn’t make sense for the price which sucks because I used to really enjoy LifeTime. The LT I went to in Houston is $120 and it was WAY better. I went to 2 other LT in Houston for $150, even better. I wouldn’t even spend $120 here let alone the most recent increase, $200+.

Decent club but not worth the $200 membership. AC has not been working well upstairs. They’re running a summer camp in the gym with over 100 kids (they’re loud/get in your way). This is supposed to be an exclusive Gym, but apparently they will do anything for money. Astro turf outside is outdated. Many things in this gym need updating. Compared to the other life times around the country this one in Boca ranks near the bottom, yet you pay the same price. They do have brand new Pickleball courts and the staff is really helpful. They just need to start remodeling…… Yesterday.
