This is the best all-around gym. The classes are designed to get the most out of your time there and the coaches are amazing. They are always motivating me and pushing me to do my best. Coach Taylor is the ultimate cheerleader and always helping with form. Coach Mitch has shared major game changers that have helped my breathing when I think I can't give any more. I have been going to MA Fitness Boxing for 2 years. I have the twice a week class membership that works perfect for my routine since I enjoy other fitness activities. There memberships are very affordable compared to other gyms in the area. The boxing classes are great! The perfect amount of boxing and fitness, including 5 minutes of abs at the end of every class. By now, I have tried most of the instructors for the early morning and afternoon classes, and I have loved them all but highly recommend Romil or Zhari's classes. The times for classes also fit my schedule great and they have even added morning classes 3 times a week if you prefer to workout before work. I also love that Tue/Thur offer strength and HITT classes so your membership does not just include boxing. Everyone there is nice and welcoming and all different skill levels. I will never be an expert boxer, but I go for a great workout and environment.

Absolutely the Best Place to Train!
I've been training here and it's hands down the best place for kickboxing, toning your legs and arms, and staying in shape. The workouts are intense, effective, and super fun — you really make the most out of your time.

I had been hearing about MA Fitness for a couple years and finally decided to check it out last Friday. It was fabulous! The gym is legit, and Matt the owner gave me a free session. He loaned me a pair of kickboxing gloves, gave me a short tutorial, then let me join the class. Keegan the instructor was great. He's friendly, and his class was well structured, easy to follow (but not easy to complete), and left me wanting more. I'll definitely be back!

I LOVE MA Fitness. I can alway rely on their kickboxing classes to give my whole body a challenging but fun workout. They pack in a good amount of stretching, cardio, and core work into the 45 minutes. The team creates a truly welcoming environment. I have been coming to MA for almost 2 yrs now, I have done the kickboxing, the strength classes, a challenge course & their muy thai class as well, and they are all so fun AND so different! MA Fitness isn’t like any other gym around! From the time you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smiling face. That same person very well kicks your butt (in a good way) during class but it’s all out of love. I’ve been a member for 8 years and I can’t imagine working out anywhere else. Great atmosphere to push your limits! I was a member for a handful of years and have moved since, but sometimes will drive almost an hour to take a class. Since being away from my MA family, I can still hear the coaches yelling at me in my head. I don’t workout with air conditioning on, I drink water like my life depends on it, and I like to pretend I’m here when I’m not! What can I say? Family members can be weird sometimes. Turn your flabs into abs, unless you’re like me and keep giving birth a bajillion times. I have faith in me. At least the coaches still do. Is this a weird review? Okay, okay, just take a class here! I hear the first class is free! Who doesn’t love a freebie where you’ll cry from all the punching and burpees…oh gosh, the burpees!

Took a self defense class at MA Fitness Kickboxing this morning and all the instructors were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the skills they were teaching. They taught easy but very effective techniques that could get you out of a number of bad situations. Shout out to Matt, Dave and Marissa for an awesome class. I started coming here a month ago and I absolutely love it! The kickboxing, strength, and SHRED Circuit classes are fun, challenging, and welcome all levels of fitness. Every time I have come here I have had the most wonderful kickboxing experiences. Hannah Reed, in particular, is phenomenal. Brian Anderson-Needham is also excellent. I had little prior kickboxing experience, so of course I felt a bit intimidated to come. The atmosphere is welcoming, the workouts intense, the instruction detailed. Highly recommended. A friend introduced me to MA Fitness after years of being sedentary, (multiple surgeries etc) frustrated and doubtful I would ever be able to find my “workout niche”, again.
Well, it’s an understatement to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. Even though a new gym can be very intimidating I felt comfortable rather quickly.
The owners, instructors and staff were/are welcoming, efficient and helpful. I have enjoyed getting to know some of the staff and everyone has been incredibly skilled in helping me achieve my personal fitness goals.
Fitness/strength goals can be achieved and (if wanted ) the skill set to learn kickboxing, etc., is available, too!
I’ve been a member for 2 years!! Going strong and looking forward to continuing to learn, improve and grow.

My husband and I absolutely love this gym! We started coming 5 months ago and have been hooked ever since. The kickboxing classes are challenging but fun. If you’re like us, you usually find yourself counting down the minutes until a workout is over. Not here! I have been going to this kickboxing gym for 5 years and wouldn’t give it up for anything! I actually moved to Bradenton a couple of years ago and still come to this gym. Matt and Marissa (the owners/managers) are so welcoming and kind. They have built a family atmosphere there and genuinely care about the members of the gym. The instructors are amazing and demonstrate in a totally non-intimidating way how to do the punches and kicks. They do a great job of motivating you to do the best you can without being aggressive. Unfortunately I don’t get to attend the gym since I’m in Wisco, but I watch the classes on YouTube every week and go back to older classes when I need to. I’ve lost so much weight and gained so much muscle. They push you to your fullest and if you want it as bad as they do for you, you will get that body fit right! I’m so thankful I found them. Best Gym (Quite literally) since they got awarded the Best of the Best Gyms!! I've been going here since February of 2019 and stopped once the pandemic started. I started back up around March of 2021. My experience here is great, The staff are super friendly and motivating, The workouts burn you a ton! Today I burned 865 calories in the span of an hour. I totally recommend buying a Myzone they're only $50 and it allows you to track your progress!

Saying this place is a community doesn’t do justice as to what it really is, a family. Besides a welcoming upbeat atmosphere, people of all ages and backgrounds, are the actual results I have seen. I could never find the motivation to go to the gym. In fact, I dreaded the monotony of the elliptical and treadmill. I knew I needed something different. At the end of class, instructors will say "if you show up, we take care of the rest" & that could not be more true! While these classes are self-paced, you'll WANT to keep up! The sense of community that the staff and other members bring to this gym make me excited to come back every time! Regardless of where I am in my fitness journey, I've never felt judged or seen as less than. And if that's not enough, they have awesome music to help motivate you, too. So happy to be a part of this now, just wish I would have joined sooner!!

The instructors are friendly, non-judgmental and supportive - but also very good at pushing you to succeed and gain strength.
The classes are structured so students of any level can do them. You just perform the to max of your current ability. There are usually folks at all levels of skill and fitness in each class.
They also have an app that makes scheduling your classes every week a breeze with a couple clicks. The monthly rate (currently 64 bucks per month for 2 classes a week) - is perfectly reasonable.
The kickboxing workout is unlike anything I have ever experienced. It is extremely fulfilling and challenging. I'm left with a sense of real accomplishment after each session.

Matt and the entire staff here is just great! I did the Cobra Self Defense class and now starting the 8 week challenge. I saw Matt at a gas station (after taking a break) and he remembered me and told me the door is always open when I am ready.. No pressure, no sales talk just genuine interest in my training program. If you hate cardio but need it (weight loss, improve heart rate, endurance, etc) this is great bc 45 min goes by fast.

I'm hitting the golf ball further! (That's the feedback I need) I've added 2 workouts here a week to my workout regiment over the last year. I've always struggled with flexibility and core strength. On top of an amazing cardiovascular workout the kickboxing classes offer, their kickboxing bootcamps hit the areas I'm laziest about during weight lifting sessions (core and stretching). Matt and Marissa (as well as the other instructors) have ways of getting 100% out of you without you wanting to die. This is a great gym ran by quality people, with great instructors and I look forward to this years gains. 300 yard drives on the regular. :)

Recently, I decided to try something different because the same old type of gyms and workouts were boring, unchallenging, and the results came along too slowly.
I found MA Fitness and started taking their COBRA classes with the included kickboxing classes, too. I noticed straight away they were the challenge I really needed: learning self defense and getting in an awesome, intense workout. I'm already liking the results I'm seeing and it definitely helps in keeping up the motivation to stay with it.

I think the techniques that Tara and Caroline teach us are very practical. I hope that I never have to use them, but I do feel equipped for a variety of scenarios. This workout is truly a workout. I originally purchased a voucher on Groupon then became hooked! I joined & couldn't wait to get to the bag. This is the only workout that kept my attention the entire 45 mins. It's worth a try. Matt & Dave are awesome!

I am a Pinellas Park client and I must say that I enjoyed every classes I attended. The instructors are all kind & they approach you with a smile and makes u feel at home right away. I love Tiffany Edmondson as she inspires me to work harder and push myself. Love love love all the instructors, in fairness.. Marissa & Matt are awesome too, of course. They 're all going to give you the satisfaction you're looking for in a workout. You guys need to check this place out!

Definitely would consider this for a fun (and exhausting) workout. MA kickboxing is as hard as you make it. I was initially worried about the intensity (coming from a Crossfit background) but my first workout here got me to the point of sheer exhaustion. I will admit I was not as sore as I thought I would be afterward - still sore, but I was able to function in the following days. Consider MA if you're looking to get into high intensity training - or if you're looking to condition your punches/kicks. For those already well conditioned, try this workout out for those stabilizer muscles that rarely get worked. We will be back for more!

COBRA Self Defense at MA Fitness Have you ever really thought about what you would do if you were in an unavoidable situation where it came down to you or the other guy? I took the 4-hour class and instantly realized the value and signed up for the 10 week course. It's amazing the number of things that you would naturally do and how wrong they are; in fact they may make the situation worse. You learn in real life scenarios with people learning along side you and instructors that make sure you get it before moving on. Be mentally and physically prepared. Don't wait until it's too late.

MY STORY... After taking care of my Mom for the last four yrs - (she passed in Dec) RIP MOM..... Massive weight gain (emotional eating) Watching your loved one slip away (deep depression). I knew I needed help... I could of either gone down the rabbit hole or keep moving forward. It all started with a Groupon and MA's amazing STAFF being my motivator and cheerleaders and they didn't even know it, bringing me to my feet one day one workout at a time. Soon I was loving it and signing up for everything they offered. Although I love my kickboxing very empowering, MY FAVORITE has been the SELF DEFENSE. They hv two amazing women heading up that class. The knowledge they bring forth in their teachings is an eye opener and makes you want to keep coming back for more. Thank you all for making me feel welcome and being a part of the MA Fitness Family. I recently joined their ACTION program; I'm a week in and I'm already feeling the positive effects of eating better and working out consistently.

Loved the kickboxing! I got there a little early and Matt one of the coaches reviews the kickboxing moves. Class is as intense as you make it. So all levels of fitness should come. Added Cardio during an in between. Class flowed nicely. Really enjoyed it. Great people who run the place. Music was just right. They have a variety of classes.

I started here back in November, when I was fed up with my health issues and stress. So, when I started on a Groupon, I fell in love with MA Fitness. I went to workouts off and on for a month and a half, and then eventually signed up for Action. Before I started Action and I worked out with just my Groupon, I ended up losing 17 pounds without changing my diet or my other bad habits. Now, I' m ecstatic and happy to be able to do something that's more entertaining than running on a treadmill for hours. And, the trainers help build confidence without making you feel bad about your limitations. I love this place!!!

Just joined MA Fitness a couple of weeks ago and I am already feeling stronger, sleeping better and losing weight. I call it the "fastest hour at the gym" because the classes are so fun that they are over before you know it. The teachers are all great and the facility is quite clean with well cared for equipment. Plus, they have a nicely padded floor that is easy on my knees. I also joined the latest UBC class and have set some pretty aggressive goals for the next 10 weeks. Many thanks to all the coaches that are supporting UBC class #92!

This place is great! From the moment we walked in, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Prior to class they took the time to show us what we would be doing and the proper form. Then during if we needed help they were right there. Not only was it fun and a stress reliever but it was a great workout! My friends and I are looking forward to many more classes!

I have been going to MA Fitness in Seminole for 6 1/2 years. Now they are opening this one for St. Petersburg. There is no better workout in my opinion than sweating for 45 minutes hitting and kicking a heavy bag. It is the best stress relief and you will lose weight!! There's always new combinations of kicks and punches to keep you on your toes and engaged mentally while doing it. Great music and high energy instructors!! Try it....you'll be addicted!!
