Beware – Unethical Practices - SCAM

I feel completely scammed by this company. I signed up for a $29 one-week trial and was never sent a contract, confirmation, nor an account was created for me. They make it impossible to cancel—requiring you to do it online only with zero phone or in-person support. I had to dig through their website for over 30 minutes just to figure out how to cancel. I ended up having to create an account myself because they never set one up.

When I finally got in, I tried to cancel within the trial period, their website kept giving me an error. I contacted support and was told, “Sorry, nothing we can do, clear your browser. You have to cancel it online only.” Then when I asked for a refund since I couldn’t cancel it online they said they couldn’t since “I signed a contract.” A contract I was never given. They refused to cancel the charge even though I made every effort on time.

This is seems to be a deliberate setup to trap people into recurring charges. It’s shady, unethical, and absolutely unacceptable. I’m reporting them to the BBB and anywhere else I can. I had once recommended this place when I first started the trial, but now I’m warning everyone: do NOT sign anything with them. Their entire system is designed to confuse, delay, and trap you into ongoing payments. This is not a mistake—it’s a business model built on deception.

Please be cautious before signing anything. This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels deliberately deceptive.

Mrs Shay & Mr Leo made My Little Butterfly Ny’Jah 2nd birthday one to remember. My daughter had a rough year after she was born & required open heart surgery and more. I was having anxiety about the party details especially with being a former my gym employee, I wanted everything a certain way and they definitely over exceeded my expectations. Even though I was particular in what I wanted, Mrs Shay and Mr Leo was able to incorporate their ideas and made a remarkable and unforgettable birthday party.
They respected Ny’Jah’s boundaries while also making her the star of the party. Even with variety age groups, everyone had an extraordinary time. I truly want to thank My Gym for not only providing the space but for finding butterfly plates to add, which meant a lot. Most importantly, a special thanks to Mrs Shay and Mr Leo for going above and beyond in creating a monumental memory. Not to mention Ny’Jah and I truly enjoy going to classes and I will continue recommending such a life changing place to other families.

Our child loves it there and has grown socially and carries himself with increased confidence after the classes. Really love mygym but they got rid of their Sunday classes so now all of the waddler classes are so overly full on friday and saturday. Miss the Sunday classes and hope they bring them back becasue it's too overwhelming and not enough space with such big class sizes and all the parents there now.

Edit to respond below: we cannot attend during the week so only Friday night and the weekends were our option. With Sunday gone and the Friday and Saturday classes being so large its a bit overwhelming for some of the kids, including ours, and just not enough space for the increase in kids plus all the parents. We love mygym and hope to restart a membership in the future we just really miss the Sunday classes as our son would attend 4 classes total each week and now we can only make it to Saturdays and sometimes Friday and the price for the unlimited just didn't make sense for us anymore. We love the staff especially Ms. Shay.

We love my gym for our 10 month old! We have been coming for almost a month with the unlimited package and it is so worth it. Our daughter is not in daycare so this is a great place to work on her social skills with other children her age and also build on those gross motor skills in such a fun way. The My Gym in Plantation is an OUTSTANDING development program for children. My granddaughter began when she was one. A year later I’ve noticed an improvement in her confidence, balance, strength, listening skills and getting along with others. All of the staff, and Mr Corey, have been trained in early childhood learning and are very child friendly. Mygym Plantation is the best! I took classes with both of my kids and we’ve made the best memories. Our family loves the staff at My Gym Plantation. We started taking my 15 month old son here when he was about 8 months old (I wish we knew about Ny Gym sooner). They make each class fun, engaging, and truly care about the kids. Every class begins with circle time. They introduce the kids so they can hear their name in a social setting at each class, and do fun and engaging warm up’s, songs, and other skills. I must say that the staff there is absolutely wonderful. Every time we walk in, we are greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of enthusiasm.

As a K-6 teacher myself, I can really vouch for how skilled and knowledgeable the teachers at My Gym are. The teachers at My Gym have a natural ability to connect with children and create a safe and engaging environment. They are patient, kind, and always ready to lend a helping hand.

What impresses me the most is their ability to adapt to the needs of each individual child. They understand that every child is unique and may require different approaches, and they do an exceptional job of tailoring their interactions to suit each child's personality and developmental stage.

The staff also demonstrate a high level of professionalism. They are well-organized, maintain a clean and safe space, and ensure that all activities are age-appropriate and stimulating for the children. Their attention to detail is commendable, and it truly shows in the seamless flow of the sessions.

Furthermore, the staff members are excellent communicators. They take the time to listen to parents' concerns and provide valuable feedback and guidance.

My son is slightly on the spectrum meaning he has a hard time paying attention when he is over stimulated and doesn’t fully pick up on social Qs quite yet. The staff here is NOT equipped in knowledge or training when dealing with such kids. My son has never touched, hit, or pushed another child, he has a good heart. Yet staff here doesn’t seem to be able to handle him. Trying to tell an autistic child directions feels like telling the sky not to be blue sometimes. I feel like it’s safe to say that the staff here do not have kids of their own. It seems like a neat place for babies that can listen and follow orders in a small cramped area, but for kids like my son, Monkey Joes seems to be the best and most safe place for him to burn off some energy and be physical. Plus we pay 11 a visit every weekend adding up to 44 a month at monkey joes where as we pay this place 150 a month? I’m good, this place is a hard pass for me!

If I had to give you one advice it would be to stay away from this place, if you do decide to go make sure you don’t sign ANYTHING until you’re 100% positive you’re going to sign up your child. Pay the $29 for a drop in class, they’ll try to convince you that you can pay the same $29 and take your child to unlimited classes for one week if you sign a contract. I fell for that, never received a copy of the contract I signed, called them several times on the last day I had to cancel (btw, my baby only went to 1 class), wasn’t able to speak to anybody because these people DO NOT answer the phone (from what I’ve read in the reviews more people have complained about the same) and when I was finally able to speak to someone the guy tells me I had to send a text message to cancel. 25 hours after sending the text message they responded saying “I’m sorry, this is non refundable, you signed a contract”. Yes I signed a contract on an IPad, the class was about to begin, the teacher had to go, I was holding an impatient baby who wanted to go play, the teacher did not explain it to me properly and I never received a copy of the so called contract. The issue was handled by this person I was texting with in such a poor manner I can assure you this is the worst customer service I have experienced in the US. I’m part of a group of 25 moms and when I shared it with them today several other moms said they’ve had billing issues with My Gym. This place has been added to 25 moms BLACK LIST, I don’t ever want to set foot there again. I’ve disputed the charges with CITI and I can only wish these guys good luck dealing with my credit card dispute department.

My kids have a wonderful time going here - my daughter loves the small class sizes and feels she gets adequate attention from the instructors vrs feeling lost in bigger classes. My daughter does gymnastics and ninja warrior at this location along with other classes throughout the week she loves practicing her cart wheels. I cannot, for the life of me, get anyone to answer any of my calls concerning my account, unless I leave a voicemail. Only then will they return the call. And if it’s concerning billing, forget about it. I had to pull teeth to hear someone mention that they don’t give refunds. Be careful with their billing tricks. I was charged for another month right after I cancel my subscription. They take your money from your bank account with a smile and their face and tell you they can’t do a refund.

I took my 2 year old for a Halloween event and she absolutely loved it! The instructors are so kind, playful and encouraging. My daughter interacted with the other kids, got to play alot on their equipment (she loves the trampoline) and sing and dance and learn how to listen (which is good for her to prepare for preK). My daughter is not in day care at the moment so this is a great way for her to get used to what is expected when she starts pre-K and school in 2 more years. I highly recommend for all ages! We will be coming here again, my daughter loves it!

Update: my daughter is now 3 yo and in the Mighty Mites class. Great way for her to learn how to listen, wait her turn, patience, follow directions and socialize. Great setting for a toddler birthday party. They truly take care of it all for you. All you have to do is bring extra decorations and food for adults if you want to. The kids loved it. The parents enjoyed the great naps that followed. They also have events for parents night out when you can drop them off to do an activity for a couple of hours while you enjoy dinner on a Friday night.

Pretty much everytime we go there, we see someone sick, and then we end up getting sick, and then miss a month or two of classes that we have paid for, while trying to get better.. I don't understand why parents bring sick kids there, and why the staff allows it. Maybe the staff doesn't allow it, perhaps they are unaware, due to lack of attention? A lot of parents have stopped going to this facility for one reason or another, and classes now are much smaller than they were a year or so ago.. The only reason we've been going, is because it is close to us, but we haven't been for 4 months now, and this is our last month of paying for this membership. Don't get me wrong, the owner is great, though the staff is everchanging, and our kids get used to certain teachers one month, and then they are gone the next.. Bathrooms could be much cleaner. The fact that they pay for reviews really grind my gears, as that is completely immoral.

My significant other wrote a one star review once she got sick 3 times in a row after going to this location, when she was 7-8 months pregnant, and someone from the facility called her the same day, asking her politely to change her review, or delete it. Less than a month later, they were giving away free classes for good reviews!
Not only is this not right and is misleading, but it definitely worked! Looking at all these 5 Star Reviews, the reviewers have less than 5 reviews on their accounts (most of these reviewers have less than 3 reviews)! What a sad move to bring their rating to a false almost 5 star.. These people don't have any morals, so it is no wonder why they bring their sick children in!

We love My Gym! It’s my kids absolute favorite place to be! It’s amazing to watch them learn and play in a safe, clean environment! Everyone that works there are most friendly and welcoming people! It really feels like family there! My son started the preschool prep program shortly after he turned 2 and he had never been away from me before, but to see the love and caring he recieved from his teachers I knew he was going to be okay. And within a few weeks he was running through the door, barely saying bye to me! I am so grateful to have found My Gym!

My daughter has been going to My Gym Plantation for about 5 months now and she loves it and so do my wife and I. All the instructors are very nice and accommodating and the special events with the Disney characters and ice cream party is great. My daughter met her first friend at My Gym and they are best friends now.

Fun place for our 2 & 4 year old!!
Great staff --friendly and engaging throughout the entire class. The facility is clean and every week they change the gym around so it is new every class. Scheduling and makeups for missed classes are very convenient!
Class sizes range from the time of day and age of the class. We have attended small classes with only 3 other students to 15 + students in class. Children are encouraged to play with other children, circle time, stretching, independent play, etc.
They have a lot of extra classes, parties, character days, etc. throughout the year that are offered for an extra price.
We'd love older "mommy and me" work out class to be offered. They do offer like they offer a class for younger age groups.

My daughter really enjoyed the class and all the instructors are really nice. But the billing and lack of customer service from Curt was completely unsatisfactory. We will not be back.

I've been going to this My Gym location ever since they opened. I love the staff, classes and special events. When my daughter was born I brought her to mommy and me style classes where I met other new moms who were very friendly. I have gone to many birthday parties at this location and the staff do a great job leading the party. They decorate the gym to match your theme and play games with the kids to match the age group. I have also gone to the special character events that are held on weekends. My daughter would dress up like a princess and get to meet all her favorite characters. I highly recommend this location for classes and events.

Sick kids all over the place. I missed a couple of months (not in a row) due to getting sick thanks to other parents bringing their sick kids around... I didn't even get reimbursed for it. I heard the Aventura location is much better and personable, so I will be checking it out this week.

Went to my nieces 2nd birthday and the children had so much fun. The staff interacts with children . Lots of toys to play with and all kinds of slides. They even have a handglider The smaller children are put in a swing and the older ones hold on to the handle. So cute watching them all handglide. A really great place to throw a kids party. We were there for about 3 hours.

Words are just not enough to express how much I love My Gym. Both of my kids started here since they were 1, who are now 5 & 3. Their programms are amazing. Their staff is so wonderful (Ms. Jenna, Ms. Abby, Ms. Kaitlyn, & Mr. Nick) thank you for always being so kind and loving to my littles ones. Ok so I had my toddler’s birthday party here and we had a great experience. The days prior to the party I didn’t really hear from them which worried me. But upon my arrival the team was such a big help. They helped me unload the car, and they took over. They set everything up and ran a tight ship. My daughters birthday was a blast. The kids were exhausted which means parents were happy. So now for the bad - they didn’t do a great job with decor. Luckily I bought my own stuff because I had a feeling I would be happier if I did. Also -you have to purchase pizza from them which isn’t really their pizza. It’s pizza that they order, which can do yourself. And parking is not the greatest. Otherwise, good experience.

My Gym is the perfect spot for socialization (for kids AND caregivers). The staff is attentive and positively responsive to kids with all different needs and abilities. My kid was difficult during circle time at first but after a few classes he started following directions and participating. Its a great addition for kids in day care and even better for kids that don't get to interact with peers often. We love My Gym!

We called the place beforehand to make sure that we can show up without an appointment. And they said it was no problem. A few hours later we came all the way from Fort Lauderdale with 2 kids, one in wheelchair and a toddler, just to find out that they have a meeting and they are closed. Just outrageous!

I started taking my 18 month old son here because on the surface it looks like a lot of fun for kids of all ages. However, every day that my son was in this gym, he was constantly sick with some sort of respiratory infection. One was so bad we had to cancel our trip to Denver on doctor's advice. I went into the gym to talk to the owner about his recurring illnesses since joining and decided to put our membership "on hold" for a month and give my son the chance to get better. He was 100% well and normal the month he didn't go to My Gym. We decided to give it another chance after the hold was up and - bingo - he is sick again. This time he has a disgusting Hand Foot and Mouth disease. Obviously someone took their sick child to the gym and unfortunately my son picked it up. I know it was My Gym because it was the only place we took my son within 4 days of spiking his first fever. This virus has a 2-6 day incubation period so this is definitely where he got it. He is also NOT in daycare, he is home all day alone with his babysitter. I actually went in and spoke with the owner AGAIN who told me they clean the gym once in the morning and once in the evening and they "don't have time to clean in between classes". It's really disgusting and I doubt that nasty ball pit ever gets cleaned. I have also seen sick children there with mucus running out of their nose and have never seen anyone from My Gym ask the parent to please take their sick child home. Whatever the owner thinks she is doing to clean is not enough. She never even verbalized to me her intention to review her cleaning practices. Obviously we will never go to this place again, and if you are thinking of taking your child, I would think twice

The staff is top notch, the setups are so fun and age-appropriate. All of the kids had such a blast! The kids are busy from start to end and the gym is always kept so clean!

The trial class was great, the employees are experienced and very interactive with each child. My 2 yr old was very estactic and couldn't stop talking about it after we left. Amazing place to help motion development in kids. Great kids proff place. Almost everything is cushion. Staff is outstanding.
