Places charges you 550$ for a membership . Then Lock out their paying customers . I arrived at 9:46 pm in hopes of catching a quick workout . The doors were locked and no front desk attendee was around . I had to flag someone trying to work out down in the building working out down to let me into a gym I am paying 550$ a year for .The front desk attendant then comes out of nowhere from being on her phone in the back , and says “you cannot let people into the building” .

Dirty. Broken Equipment… no matching dumbbell sets. Group classes are erratic at best. They cancel without notice. I have never seen anyone wipe down equipment after use.

Please do not go here! It looks nice on the outside, but they seriously do things like charge your card while on hold, Charge it after you attempt to cancel, and you will never be able to get a call back from the billing department or reach anybody. I saw a review that said that the cancellation process is hard, but I didn't pay attention Because I usually watch my finances carefully and thought I would be OK if I made sure to contact them or go in person in advance. I highly regret it now. If you're looking for gyms, go to another one. I've gone to three other gyms in the area, and had no problem with cancellation or unnecessary charges. There is a woman that manages this place that is responsible for theft, But you will never receive a call from her or be able to talk to her in person even when you go there. It's a nice experience when you first start going there, but eventually you will regret it.

I gave them a 2 star originally and moved to a 1 star after the TERRIBLE Customer Service from the MANAGER… I emailed images of the document signed and the letter going into the mail box for my cancellation per her request and yet they have the audacity to say I didn’t provide enough evidence for my desire to cancel!

Trying to cancel is like applying for a new social security card. I went in to cancel and the staff member said I had to speak with a manager who wasn’t in despite being 4pm. The next time I went in they said I had to MAIL A PHYSICAL COPY of my cancellation to headquarters….TRAP!!! What year is it 1976??? The world is going green, you should have an email account at the very least. What Terrible Business that is.
The gym is large with plenty of equipment to use and 50% of their staff are decently professional/friendly and that’s the only reason I’m giving them a 2 star.

Don’t waste your time or money on this gym—it’s a complete disaster.
The equipment is in terrible shape—old, poorly maintained, and constantly breaking down. You’ll find yourself waiting for machines that are barely functional when they’re not outright out of service. Hygiene? Practically nonexistent. The gym feels like it hasn’t been deep-cleaned in years. Machines are sticky, benches are covered in sweat stains, and the bathrooms? Absolutely repulsive. It’s hard to focus on your workout when you feel like you need to sanitize yourself every five minutes.
The staff is equally disappointing. They’re indifferent at best, and outright rude at worst. Don’t expect any help, guidance, or even basic politeness. They seem to care more about their phones than the members paying to be here. And the cancellation process? It’s an absolute nightmare. You’re forced to jump through hoops just to end your membership, all while they continue charging you. They’ll happily take your money, but when it comes to offering service, you’re on your own.
This place is run like a shady business that doesn’t care about its members’ health or experience. If you value your time, money, or even basic cleanliness, stay as far away as possible. There are so many better options—don’t settle for this mess.

Basically I closed my Account to switch gyms after going to Naples Family Fitness for 2-3 years. When I decided to come back I got my account through active and fit, 2 days into my new account the manager tells me I have an unpaid balance because my account never closed. She was very rude about it and wouldn’t hear me out at all saying they had no exceptions because that’s “not how you run a business”. Long story short she said either I pay for the months that I didn’t go there as if it was my fault and as if I was supposed to know it magically never got cancelled, or I find another gym. Clearly she doesn’t know how to run a business. Went there for 2-3 years with minimal issues but the second there is one the staff is extremely abrupt and rude.

I have been a member for over 4 years, and before that, I was a member for 1 1/2.
I have been here under three managers.
I have been patient through the problems this gym has had, everything from no ac in the women's locker room for almost a month, no hot water of various occasions, bugs & mold in the shower, bats flying above my head, broken equipment, etc.
My breaking point was how the manager treated me the other day. To preface, this manager has been extremely rude in the past to me, my best friend, and two other people I recommended the gym to who never completed their free trial because of how she treated them. So the following story was not completely out of character.
The last morning I went, it was 6am, she came up to me at the stationary/smith squat rack and said "you can't workout in those shoes". (I was wearing socks and slides, cause I squat in socks) I replied "oh, I'm not, I take them off and do just socks cause-" she interrupted me, and asked if I had other shoes with me and I said no. She told me to leave the gym immediately. I was extremely shocked. In denial, I asked if she was seriously kicking me out and she said she was and I needed to leave right now. I grabbed my water off the floor and told her I was going to speak with upper management. NOT because of the policy, but because she kicked me out. If it's a new policy, why are you kicking me out instead of just making me aware of your policy, and asking me to comply next time?
I am appalled that her solution in this moment was to immediately kick me out and not even let me finish my workout. I am not even concerned that after all these years, they have a new policy that prohibits me from doing squat sets in socks like my previous personal trainer told me to do to help drive from the heel better and alleviating knee pain (it works btw).
Let me stress, I was not walking around the gym in my socks, I wore slides like I always do, and only took them off for the set. She did not even say "next time you come, please bring sneakers instead", just immediately resorted to kicking me out of the gym.
Another new policy NFF has is women are not allowed to workout in just sports bras, and shirt must be worn at all times. At any given time, walk into the gym and see more than half the women workout in just a sports bra. At least half the women yesterday morning were in just a bra, but why aren't they being told to leave? Why is there a double standard? Why is there such inconsistency?
Because this is not the first problem I have had at this gym since the new management, but rather the straw that broke the camels back, I felt it was time to cancel my membership through Active Fit Direct and switch my home gym to Athletica in Naples which has amazing reviews, no bugs and mold, and excellent staff.

NEVER give them your card. They will keep charging your card forever after cancelation. They will tell you 100 reason why they do it. They will tell you that is your fault, you never cancel, or they didn’t receive your cancelation mail or many other reasons.

First time visitor from out of state and I was trying to find a gym for the summer. My last go to was Naples Family Fitness and I was impressed! Marvin was helpful at answering all of my questions, explaining the membership levels to me, as well as showing me around. I appreciated his knowledge. As for the facility itself, it has all of the equipment you’ll need, it’s spacious, clean, and a good vibe. I look forward to coming here!

Been going here since i started working out (2.5 years) its a solid gym. Plenty of room, lots of equipment to use. If someone is on your next set machine, theres a 90% chance you’ll find a replacement. Next door has a nutrition store which is really helpful if u wanna get something after your workout. Equipment is good, the high volume machines like preacher curls and quad extensions can get worn out but they replace them often. The staff is pretty cool too. Vonn and christian are awesome. If i had to complain abt it, the monthly price is a bit high. Ive been to most gyms in naples and im impressed with this one and smash in bonita.

Just tried getting a guest pass to try out this gym as I moved closer by. Turns out I had signed up for a guest pass in 2016 I honestly don't even remember using. Old boy inside had negative interest in possibly gaining a new gym member and increasing the revenue for this business. Instead he tarnished the name and experience for me. I will continue to use other gyms just because buddy was so determined to not allowing someone to try out this gym because they'd used a guest pass 8 years ago. Come on, let's do better Naples "FAMILY" Fitness.

No climate control and rudeness from the reception staff: just during your exercising on the machine he can attack you, yelling and screaming and pointing finger near your face. Allows other members to throw out on the floor your belongings. Moreover, demonstrates discrimination based on nationality, gives your personal data to other clients. I would never hired such staff.
The machines are old, but it’s ok. Some are in a very bad condition and I tore my leggings.
When it was dark and cold outside my mum came in waiting me near the entrance. She was with a tiny service dog in her hands. And she was rudely asked by a receptionist to go out to the street, because of the service dog (I told that I can show his service certificate).
After posting this review my membership was cancelled. Make conclusions about this “organisation”.

I had sent in for a medical freeze as I was unable to workout, I received a call from the manager (Sabrina) saying it was ok she would put me on a permeant freeze until I was able to return. 6 months later I was charged for 5 months until I saw it on my credit card. I spoke to her on the phone again and she refused to refund my account. She said the permeant freeze only went to the end of the year which she didn't realize herself. I said i would've canceled as I've had surgery and still unable to workout! DO NOT sign up with this gym they won't let get out of contract! SCAM

I have been going to the gym for a year and a half now. I am very disappointed with their business practice in their staff. I finally had my breaking point. Their staff hardly welcome you nor smile. I asked for a refund for the remainder of my contract which is over six months for me and my husband. They denied my refund they said once you pay in full that's it. You won't receive your money back. I never had this issue with another gym. I tolerated a lot of ignorant behavior in this gym from broken equipment that wasn't fixed six months at a time to an incident where a man called my friend a very offensive word and when reported they did nothing. They pretended nothing happened. I hope they make some changes for the sake of their business and get their ac fixed as well.

My wife and I called yesterday afternoon to inquire about the most cost effective way to join for the 2 weeks we are in town. The employee we spoke with told us since we purchased a pass in January / February of this year already they could offer us $35 each for a month membership. When we came in this morning to officially sign up we were met almost immediately with attitude from the front desk attendant who told us the employee yesterday was new and that set up was not possible. Instead the best possible rate they could provide was $76 per person for a month pass.... that we only needed for 2 weeks. We eventually spoke with the manager and asked if they could honor what their employee told us we could do yesterday. She curtly told us they could not honor the rate given by the employee and told us again he was new. Oh and by the way, there is a Planet Fitness 12 minutes away that offers $10 monthly passes, so if you're in our shoes and Naples family Fitness won't tailor anything to your situation, don't worry, there are other options.

I came here for a visit and found Naples Family Fitness which exceeded my expectations. The classes were A plus , the teachers were excellent because they really understood challenging us while at the same time making sure that we worked from our core for body safety.
I would recommend the gym for beginners all the way to advanced athletes

I cancelled my membership at the front desk in September. I filled out all the necessary forms and was assured this was the end. I left Naples on October 3. I was charged for October and November. Of course when I called and talked to Sabrina, she said she would cancel it over the phone, but would not rebate the 2 months I should not have been charged. I was advised that I had to "mail in" the cancellation forms and they would take care of it. So the policy is forms (that I filled out in person) must be "mailed in" but yet she cancelled the membership over the phone. Makes no sense.

So I went to try this gym with my fiance, he has been a member for 5 years and the receptionist was super rude agresive pretty much bark at us without no reason I have a membership in another gym but I was trying to check this place out, well the welcoming was enough to never comeback again. Best gym I’ve been to! Staff is very friendly, the equipment is always clean and overall the atmosphere is positive and enjoyable!
NFF was super accommodating to me as I had to pause my membership before I could leave another one. The front desk associate, Kathryn (who signed me up) was so nice and helpful. She brought over the manager, PJ and he was an outstanding help too!
I encourage anyone who is searching for a new gym or just looking for a change of environment to sign up with Kathryn at NFF! 💪🏼

Love this gym. I have been going here for two years and it really becomes a second home to me. Most of the members are very friendly and usually isn't overpacked. I don't normally write reviews, but I truly feel as though this place deserves 5 stars. They also have a very nice sauna, which is a good option to have after a tough workout. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a good gym.

(UPDATED SEPT 2020). My original review stands, they did respond a few years later, I guess they got bored during the pandemic but still they told me someone would reach out soon, it's been over a month and no one ever reached out to me. Clearly customer service is not something that concerns them.
Major problem with management. I second the person who left the review about the early termination fee. They told us it was month to month, no where did they ever mention an early termination fee. How is a month to month an early termination fee.
Second they charged us for an extra month even after we canceled our membership.
And yes they require you to mail your keycards to Texas when canceling your membership.
I would find a different gym, the ethics of management are questionable!

This gym does not enforce the Collier County Mask mandate. While it is not required to wear a mask while doing a set - it is required if you are within six feet of another person working out. This is not enforced at all as plenty of people were within six feet of each other. The front desk employee was not wearing a mask either.
Furthermore, nobody is cleaning the equipment, and the only sanitation stations were spray bottles with paper towels; no hand sanitizer in sight. It seems the staff is relying on the patrons to clean the equipment, but lets be honest, gym goers rarely ever cleaned the equipment pre-COVID, so why should they expect people to do so now?
The gym did have social distancing signs on some equipment and on the floor of various areas in the gym, but it was not consistent and only in certain areas. Also, only a handful of equipment stated it was mandatory to wipe down and santize equipment after use.
It's clear to me this gym is doing the bare minimum to function during COVID, and I would stay far away if I were you.

I signed up for this gym about 3 years ago and forgot that I put my credit card on file. It went on charging my card for a whole year until I closed that card. But it still continued to charge an charge without me going to this gym. It racked up to about 1500$ . I went to the gym and tried to tell them my situation. An how I didn’t even live in Naples .They called the owner and he said I had to pay something instead of being a good understanding person. So I ended up paying my bill an he would give me like a week free at the gym... bs

Extremely disappointed in how management handled the COVID-19 crisis. Naples Family Fitness was the only gym in Naples which continued to charge its members for the two months they were closed. It is not the members' financial responsibility to cover equipment renovation, etc. which is what PJ said our dues were being put toward while the gym was closed down. Simply put, they were charging for a service they could not provide.
Management never reached out or confirmed my cancellation. Ended up submitting a dispute with my bank and canceling my debit card to recoup my loss.
A business is best judged by how it treats its clients and staff during a crisis. I do not recommend Naples Family Fitness. While I thoroughly enjoyed my personal trainer, Paige, I cannot in good conscience recommend the gym itself.

This place will nickel and dime you. I cancelled my account. They would not allow me to cancel over the phone. They said I actually had to show up. I moved to another state. I sent a certified letter with cancellation and a manager told me that was fine. Fast forward 1 year later they sent $200 owed money to Creditors. Haha. This staff is incompetent

Continued to charge after cancellation without notice and then sent my (unknown to me) debt to a collection agency. I tried to call today in order to get the number to settle the debt but when you call Naples family fitness it goes straight to a message saying this user does not have a voicemail. I also read on other reviews that they are charging member even though they were closed for 2 months.

Covid 19 outbreak! I know of one employee who worked here who was positive with Covid19 and came back to work within a week of showing symptoms. Poorly owned business. Ownership of this gym is greedy and does not care about their clients. Horrible cancellation policy. They refused to allow people to cancel their membership during the covid 19 outbreak. Unreal. Expect a similar experience as dealing with Comcast cable.

nightmare! We cancelled our membership last august in person. Yet, they continue to run continue to run our credit card. So much overhead in management that we can't trace going back to the same person. I've had 3 different credit cards on file for the original cc company and they fraudulently get a hold of my new card and run it. Run away from these people! This is the 2nd time I have had this problem. Pathetic service. They should be shut down. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION- YOU'LL BE SORRY.

Nice upscale gym with ample parking and a lot of good workout equipment. Clean interior and locker area with updated modern workout machines. Helpful staff and be certain to get a guest pass to check it out before you pay your yearly or monthly dues. The surrounding mall is also a convenient and upscale shopping center with a couple great little restaurants and a fabulous ice cream store. I would recommend this location and gym.

I see a lot of complaints about how hard it is to cancel. I suspect that is true, lots of clubs have this shady side. However, the actual club, trainers, equipment and facilities are great. You can go to as many classes as you like, no charge. For a tiny fee you can add child care. Use it as much as you like. (Very safe). The staff is helpful and pleasant. Nobody looks down on you because of your fitness level. They are actually glad you are there. Great schedule. (As to the terms of the contract, as I get older I have learned to just read it before I sign. Get a copy. Abide by it. No profit in assuming what I think is reasonable is the wording. Solves frustration!)

This is a great place to build your quality of life. The ambient is great. The only thing that it bothers me is that in the locker rooms the TV is tune 24/7 with Fox News talking about politics. This is a place for sports and not for politics.

So I’ve never had a trainer before and I have been working out since I was 16. I can absolutely say that Sarah is an amazing trainer. She is so helpful, trust worthy, kind, passionate, humble, and inspirational in her work. I learned so much from her, and really saw the results I wanted. As well as got my motivation back! I love Naples Family Fitness and their amazing trainers!

I strongly advise NOT to join this gym. It's beautiful and all but has the worst service and forget about the cancellation process. I went there personally, had to write a note of why I'm cancelling, paid my fees and they still had the nerve to send me to collections. Why? I don't know, but it is still following me. I work in that area and I always tell clients and co-workers NOT to join.
