SUNDAY 11.23.2025/9.30AM - I'm going to leave this same review under both locations' profiles. I did a Facebook inquiry on Tuesday 11.18.25 and been getting bombarded with text messages all day everyday since. The real kicker: just after 9AM this MORNING someone named Nick/Nate CALED me to ask whether I was ready to join.... the desperation for new members is a disgusting turn off and you need to reconsider your marketing campaign. Your company lost me way before you gained me!

Member for 12 years with over 3000 classes. I absolutely love OTF and don't want to leave. I am not a complainer. I have been to countless studios and had good and bad experiences but never ever written a review. But I believe in treating all members with basic human dignity, so I'm very sad to have to cancel due to abhorrent professionalism standards under the current management and ownership at the tallahassee locations. I won't share details because i care about the member who had an incredibly sad and painful experience at the hands of their employee, but if you have any ethical standards, this business has made it clear that they don't deserve your patronage. Moving forward, I can only hope that my canceling and other members reading this means that the manager, owner, and their members never have to personally experience what they have put their member through at the hands of an employee.

The workouts are good. The trainers are very helpful, extremely friendly, encouraging, etc. You will learn a bunch of new exercises. The place is clean. It is a good location. They are up front with prices, and the written agreement is relatively simple. The heart monitor costs around a $100, worthwhile. Overall, very good.

Was 10 minutes late to the 0800 class and was told i couldn't join it. Visiting from outta state and ot took time to find parking. First time I've seen this crazy policy enforced! Poor customer service. I've seen members join classes 15 minutes in at every other location I've been too...but whatever..that explains why there's only 1 in the entire area..cause ain't dealing with trashy customer service like that.

Great if you need to be told what to do and feel a sense of community. Overall, people are friendly and encouraging. Not a heavy weight inclusive place. Great for cardio and that’s pretty much it. If you want to lose weight or gain endurance, this is the gym for you but you’d still need another gym membership if you want to tone and build muscle. They list their prices online. 2 classes a week at $110/mth. They can have up to 26 people in the room at a time. Yikes lol. If that price doesn’t motivate you to run at the gym, what can?

From the Manager Elly greeting me at the door to taking Nathan’s class as I was just passing through. It was a wonderful experience the classes energy was 🔥. Nathan was a really engaging trainer, Elly made me feel like it was my home studio And it was very clean. I will definitely bet back, thank you guys!

Starting class, I feel a misery similar to having to wake up at 4am to catch a flight. iHalfway through class, I’m elated, not because it’s almost over, but because I feel so great.

My friend and classmate referred me to this gym. I was in the area it’s located in and decided to check it out. The doors were closed and there was a sign in the window facing inside with the message, ‘use the other door’. My daughter and I stood outside the door of the gym trying to figure out what door the message was referring to. While we struggled to find the entrance, there were people at the front desk just starring at us even though it was clear we were interested in getting in. No one came to our aid. I felt so embarrassed and disappointed that we just left. I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends if that’s how they treat prospective clients.

Went to schedule a free first class and they wanted my credit card number over the phone. I declined. Later I went to grab a quick coffee from a shop that’s directly next door and one of the workers came out yelling that she was going to call the tow company on me. Not great vibes, unsure if I’ll ever join.

Impossible to find parking at this location! For someone who travels every other week for work and use many different Orangetheory locations this was one of the worst experiences. Scheduled a class for 5:30 got to Orangetheory 20 mins early but there was no parking after driving around for 20 mins to find parking I ran into the studio and was told I would be charged a no show fee and couldn’t even attend the class. I thought this was some kind of joke since clearly it’s my 1st time in this studio and I had no idea there is very limited parking and there were very few people in the class. Very sad for someone who loves orange theory. Hopefully this is not happening to other people as well.

Experienced rudeness right from the get go. I imagine that it can be chalked up to this manager people keep mentioning in the comments named Julie. I mean, right as I pulled in the parking lot I was glared at by the same lady though the window. Strongly recommend that you spend your money somewhere they value patrons and treat people kind/respectfully. Have a good day and carry on…

I have never actually been inside this place of business. I had often thought it might be something beneficial. I changed my mind as soon as I met the owner.

I was having difficulties finding another business on the same road as orange theory. I had passed the business several times, and as I stated before it is right on the narrow busy road. I pulled into a parking lot to check my directions. I still could not locate the business I wished to visit. So I shut off my car and grabbed my purse. As soon as I stepped just past the entrance doors to Orange Theory this lady comes out and says very snippy, “are you coming here?” I said no and proceeded to tell her I was just walking to see if the place I was looking for was where I could not see it. She just became more contrary. I told her what I was doing, did what I was going to do and then got in my car and went to the business I first intended. The attitude of the lady that says she’s the owner will keep me from ever joining her gym.

If I could leave less than one star I would. The management here is so beyond rude. The first time I came to this location, the manager “Julie” caught me at my car before I could even walk next door for my morning coffee to yell at me for parking in front of her studio and tell me she was going to tow me if I were to go anywhere other than her studio… when there was not a single other car to be found in their parking lot…

This place has horrible customer service. The front desk workers have awful attitudes and they treated me with a lot of disrespect every-time I went to work out there. I had to end my membership with them because this facility’s location was the most convenient for me but I can’t tolerate paying $150 just be disrespected and treated as a invaluable customer. I tried to get in touch with a manger but the front desk people never allowed me to get in contact with them as well not forwarding my messages to them. I originally started OTF at the Daphne, AL studio. I have come to love and enjoy going each time! I was in Tallahassee for a family emergency, and thought it would be fun to try a new studio. They sent me a text to confirm some information (which has all been in my app, but I get it). I called them several times with no answer. So I showed up to the class early to fill out a form. The guy at the front desk seemed to just ignore me. Once the doors opened for class, I was trying to ask for a card to find out where to start in the class. Apparently they don't all do this. They just assigned me a weight station with out asking where I'd like to start. Already unhappy with this, I chalked it up to a new opportunity. I got stuck in the smallest weight station, my TRX straps were right in front of the bench and I had no space between the bench and the outside window/wall. The coach did not speak to me or welcome me like the Daphne Coaches do. He was very unfriendly (found out he was a sub?). No instructions were given but I noticed a guy wiping down his weights early so I followed suit. We then had to wait in the lobby until the treads and rowers had moved. It was all very military like. I feel like I spent most of my workout waiting to move. The water fountain was DISGUSTING as well as the ceiling tiles. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner. I could not understand what the coach wanted us to do on the treads (and neither could the guy next to me). Then the coach came over and asked if I was alright because I should be on a level up on the incline. I told him I couldn't understand him and he got rude with me. He kept saying "push" but then base pace. So I was super confused! When we moved to the rowers I thought I was good and we'd be done soon. But we had to do lateral jumps in the smallest space they have between rowers- and stretch there too! You can't move around at all!!! I hit my ankle several times on the rower during the lateral hops. I will give other OTFs a try, but not this one. I'll try the north one next time. They need to work on cleaning it up and making it more personal- thats what I love about OTF Daphne; regardless if you're a consistent member or an out of towner.

Good staff and coaches. They are like friends who are constantly trying to encourage you to do your best. They like to know your goals and what did you do before join them. The location is little bit small but in my opinion is much better, more privacy.
I recommend it to anyone who is interested in a good targeted workout that actually works. It is a different concept. They are only targeted workouts every hour. There is no personal access to weights or personal trainers.
I guess the price is reasonable compared to other places. First, they give you a free class with an excellent explanation. They have two plans: unlimited premier plan, which costs $ 159 (with a three-month offer we would pay $ 129) and another Elite, which costs $ 99 (with a three-month offer we would pay $ 88. I was very surprised by the fact that it is mandatory to purchase a monitor It costs $ 107. They explain that it is to monitor each person and avoid cardiovascular accidents and to track our improvement. We are the owners of the Heart rate monitor and we can always use it to perform our own workout outdoor like run, bike. etc.
Very very very clean location. I am very happy with Orangetheory Fitness.

I stay away from places that cannot give me prices over the phone and want me to come in for a “sit down” to inform the price points.... ESPECIALLY during COVID-19 when most people are trying to avoid having to be around people as much as possible. Seems like they are driven by a “sales” tactic I’ve learned over the years. Make it sound amazing and then hit you with the big numbers. That’s poor customer service.

DISAPPOINTED with the coaching! My first time visiting this studio and class was taken by Stanley. His coaching style was very selective for certain people he knew, otherwise he just went through the motions of running a class. Disappointed because there's so many incredible coaches in OTF who represent this company really well, and unfortunately Stanley didn't do that during this class.

I love the workouts but the team has been less than flexible with cancelling memberships due to COVID-19. I’ve requested a corporate contact on 3 occasions and that request seems to be ignored. I just keep getting the same answer that it’s company policy and I must fulfill the current month payment regardless of the circumstance. Hate this as I was so excited to eventually return in the future when things calm down in Florida but now I have a bad taste in my mouth from this whole experience.

Initially, I belonged to the OT on Thomasville Road next to Stein Mart, but transferred because the midtown location is closer to my job. Long story short, I’ve been taking the 12 pm class led by the manager for the summer and at first, I liked the class because she pushed me to run my first mile in 20 years, but I am no longer happy with her service. She is rather rude, has favorites, and doesn’t like for you to use too many wipes to clean the equipment. In fact, today she yelled at me about wiping down the equipment (10 seconds before the transition). Not only did my momentum drop, but I could no longer focus--I should have just canceled my membership and left, but I only go 4 times a month. Thank goodness, I only have a few more noon classes with her before summer ends. I hope she secures enough memberships so that she will no longer have to stress over the number of wipes being used to clean mats, dumbbells, treadmills, trx straps, rowers … etc.

Honestly, Every orange theory I’ve been to has been nicer than this one (the amenities and technology). I will say the staff is friendly but management sucks. Moving to a different studio. After being longtime members of the orange theory midtown Tallahassee I recommended my sister who had just recently moved with me from Missouri to try it out. Even though my husband and I are the only family my sister has in the US they would not accept her as a Tallahassee or florida resident unless we had some proof. We brought proof of her insuranse based on the state of Florida and they "declined" the proof, they twisted every word we said. It was such a hassle just for her to try the gym, they were trying to make her pay the $28 drop off fee, so she didnt even try the gym. I'm glad we had this experience, now we know we definitely deserve better than this.

Where do I start? I’ve been working out at a gym for my entire adult life (30 years). I’ve tried different workouts, worked with a trainer, spent 2 hours a day (who has time for that?) and was getting completely burned out. I won a free month at Orange Theory. I tried it. Now I’m wondering WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG TO GET IN THERE! THE PLACE IS AMAZING! I am feeling great after each workout. I haven’t been there long (still in my free month) but if I keep this workout as part of my routine (funny word, routine. Nothing at OT is routine!) I know I’ll see results. GET IN THERE! The workout is like nothing you’ve ever done. The instructors are top notch & motivate you to keep going. I’ll be joining.

I have been a member of orange theory for over a year now and have been to at least 10 different orange theory studios. I enjoy the workouts and all of the staff members except for Julie. Julie is the manager and one of the trainers and she has been very rude and disrespectful to me on numerous occasions. Every time I've taken her class, she has yelled at me on the microphone in front of the entire class for going at my own pace on the treadmill. One time she told me to get off and not to take her class if i'm going to be "lazy" for going at my own pace. She makes me very uncomfortable and upset every time I walk in.

Orange Theory was great for my first time. The midtown location in Tallahassee was convenient and easy to get to. Loved the workout which was something I'd never experienced before. Constant movement and variation of exercise helped me burn over 870 calories in less than an hour, with continuous after-burning of an additional 500 more over the following 36 hours. Orangetheory is great! I love the availability of classes and the ease of signing up for them on the app. I work two jobs and am never certain what my schedule will be from week to week, but I find it pretty easy to fit classes in several times a week. I love that the workouts are different everyday and very challenging, but still offer modifications for every level of fitness. I really love the trainers - They guide and correct your form with kindness, but also find a way to motivate without being harsh or condescending. My only critique of OTF is that I wish there was more cool down/stretching time allotted in the class time. Orangetheory seems pretty expensive for my budget, but I'm getting a great value with the unlimited plan, and so far it's worth it. I've lost 30 more pounds since I started last March, where before I had reached a plateau on my weight loss journey. I feel myself getting stronger and I'm excited to keep working away at my goals!

The manager Juli is amazing and has built a great team! The owner Andy is very active in the studio. This studio is very active in the community with happy hour events and local races. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. To top it all off, the workouts are very effective and are suitable for all skill levels which really helps because as you progress, the workouts don’t get boring, you’re just able to challenge yourself more! Thank you!

Everyone was great and friendly. Loved the atmosphere and instructor! Juli was motivating and positive. I really liked that she helped with form and positioning because I struggle with this when exercising and it's very important!

Coaches are great, workouts are challenging, and the front desk staff is attentive. At the end of the day, I'm skinnier and I have less desire to buy fatty food. Wins all around!

I like the structure and knowing that I can get results just by listening to the coach. I can focus on working hard without having to think about what my workout needs to involve.

If you are going to join an orange theory studio, stay away from this one. They are crooks. They require you to wear a heart rate monitor to workout "to make sure your heart doesn't explode" (according to the manager, Juli). This is a requirement at the Tallahassee, Midtown studio even though other OTF studios don't require you to wear one. In fact, I was told I didn't need one when I signed up. My OT beat link heart rate monitor, that I have had for less than a year, stopped turning on. The manager Juli laughed in my face about it and tried to blame it on me. She wanted me to pay $5 per class for a rental until I got a replacement, even though it was not my fault. Juli's behavior towards OTF members is ugly and unprofessional. As much as I love OTF, my experience at this studio made me want to quit for good. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

I love OTF! I don't have a lot of time so it's great to get cardio and weights done in an hour. I go everyday and have had amazing results in terms of my appearance and performance. The coaches are great too.

It's challenging, but not impossible. The trainer was super motivating, corrected me before I injured myself, and the workout was adaptable to my abilities. I also really love the heart rate monitor and plan on using it even when I'm not working out at Orange Theory. I burned over 600 calories in one hour and feel super motivated to get fit!

What do I like about Orangetheory? So many things! I like being able to track my progress using the heart rate monitor. I also like the variety of every workout. It's the first workout plan I've been able to stick with for over a year! I also love the trainers, Alden is my absolute favorite. His energy and up beat personality make getting up early that much easier :o)

I went to OTF religiously before I moved to Tallahassee and was really excited when I found out there was one near me. I tried it out for a month or two and felt like I was forcing myself to go rather than enjoying it anymore. One of the older female trainers is what really turned me off to this Orangetheory, extremely rude and no regard that I was new to the gym. I'd rather not pay 159 a month just to be told which door I can enter the gym through, when there's only TWO DOORS.

Playing football in high school and college I always had a coach tell me what my workout was and, more importantly, made sure that I was pushing myself. That's what I love about OTF. I just show up and get to work

Workout experience is worthwhile, but beware when you have to cancel your membership. You will most likely continue to be charged after your cancellation. Management seems to be inept in this regard, so I just urge all to follow up.

OTF has awesome group workouts that combine heart rate monitors, rowing, treadmills, and free weights. Great facility. If you are wondering if this type of workout is for you, you need to taker a closer look at how they do things. Everything revolves around your heart-rate, assuring you are working in your own personal optimal fat burn range. If the regular gym is too boring, and your local XFit is too out of control, you owe it to yourself to give this gym a try. Tell them Stephan sent you!!!
