I do not recommend for child care
Enrolled my daughter for after school gymnastics with a few lessons throughout the week for the 2024-2025 school year and our experience was okay.
Once we switched to "summer camp" and no lessons for the summer and had our daughter go here with plans of continuing lessons after school started back up. It feels like there is very little supervision and no enforcements or concerns of safety during the summer program if you aren't paying for gymnastic lessons.
Our daughter somehow got glass in her foot from being on the GYM floor once, that was reported however there were other incidents where her head got bumped and her mouth was bleeding, she came home with a cut in her mouth but there was never a report of this, other incidences I can't remember specifically where my child was hurt and not reported.
My final straw was that there was another child that cut my daughters clothing and her cup with scissors. Like I said little to no supervision idk how kids can even get so close enough to cut each others clothes with out a responsible person not seeing it.
There are about 2 really good girls that work here but the establishment over all does not seem to be safe or the kids truly cared about.
I had requested that the owner of the establishment Terry/Carrie idk couldn't get a straight name to call me and after a week went by with no contact i pulled our daughter out.
**Edited after the gym replied to my review**
Why would I submit an email when I 1. Requested to speak to the owner face to face because I have genuine concerns about the gym then when I waited for 30 mins after said owner was suppose to be at the gym never showed, I requested and left my phone number so why would I EMAIL the gym when I am concerned about the safety of the children? That's a cop out!

The way this camp is managed is horrible, how can you write the field trip is between 9am-1pm (even yesterday night there was no update) and there is still no one at the field trip location at 10:30am??? I called and they haven’t even left the camp yet!
I asked several times that I will be dropping him off directly to the field trip location.
I was very desperate and I enrolled my son for the last week because of this but I will be never using this location.
To your response;
I wish there was one person who told me that it is not allowed when I asked specifically 3 times.
-I wrote it to our application
-I asked when they called me for registration
-I asked on the first day
Noone told me that it is not allowed as well as the timing of the field trip when I told them that I will be dropping him off directly.
I wish there was one person working there who takes their job seriously, it is a shame.

This gym appears to be primarily staffed by very young employees, many seemingly just out of high school. Unfortunately, this often results in disorganization—billing errors and scheduling mistakes have occurred multiple times during our time here.
The facility layout also makes it difficult to observe your child's activities, and there’s no dedicated space to accommodate or entertain younger siblings not enrolled in classes.
Initially, we had a positive experience, but over time, coaching quality noticeably declined. Several of the newer coaches seem disengaged or unsure how to work with younger children. On multiple occasions, my child sat unattended at the beginning of class, waiting for instruction. The focus appears to be more on older, competitive groups rather than the preschool program.
Additional observations:
Unrelated to the gymnastics itself—there was an incident where a delivery person struggled to get through the door with a cart while front desk staff watched without offering help. Similarly, when I mentioned that the bathroom toilet wasn’t flushing, the staff response was indifferent.
Overall, disappointing experience after a promising start. Giving 2 stars solely based on our initial satisfaction.

The Lake Mary coaches are great! Coach Carrie and Coach Jason work hard to train gymnasts to perform their very best at competitions. I have also had a great experience with office staff, with special reference to Kylee and Jen. I am so impressed with their excellent customer service skills. Thank you for your help and support, Kylee snd Jen!

Just went here for a kids birthday party. Large private room for 2 hours and all access to the whole gym. My little (6 years old) one loved it and enjoyed playing with her friends. Definitely recommend if you don’t want a lot of kids running around and screaming like other locations. This is private, accessible and quieter.

We went to open gym today - it was our first and last time visiting this gym. We saw one employee the entire time. There were about 40 kids there, that’s unacceptable. There was a kid who threw up in the smaller children’s play area and two dads sitting nearby looking everywhere for a worker to alert and again, no one in sight. After 15 minutes and another child stepping in the vomit, the same dads went over to clean it. It was not even their child’s throw up…
I can’t believe this place is still in business with how poorly it’s run.

Gym is nice and clean. Staff seems kind and professional. Chairs for parents and guests to sit in for 2 hours are absolutely horrible. Very cheap plastic chairs. For the parents who like to watch their child bring a pillow. I’ve seen many people get up and walk out the gym looking like they just got off a wooden roller coaster. I’ll be bringing my own chair next time.

We had our boys birthdays age 4 and 6 at Orlando Metro Gym Lake Mary and it was the perfect party . The coach Joel did a wonderful job setting up the room , and helping serve the pizza and cake . He also was very interactive with the kids. All the parents mentioned what a great party it was . Lots of space and things for the kids to do and a big party room . I loved how you could bring in your own food and drinks and the price point to have 20 kids was very affordable . Highly recommend elementary school age kids birthdays here.

My daughter has been going here off and on for two years. She can only do a cartwheel (that was self taught with YouTube) and a bridge. I do not believe all the teachers are qualified and they change every couple of months. If you are not involved with the competition team, they do not pay attention or care about the child.

Today I faced racism here. I was dropping my daughter for more that couple of months here. And every parents knows me. I was waiting to drop my daughter, One of the staff came at asked why you are waiting here? I am surprised there were four parents standing , but he intentionally asked me with some rude and unprofessional way. I replied in the way that he should get it. After sometime all the staffs gathered together and was talking about the incident and seeing me and my daughter. I again asked them what the problem why you guys are seeing us like a aliens. I immediately cancelled my daughters class with them and took my daughter and came out. Please don’t go to this place. This is not a diverse place. Only giving respect to skin color. Stay away… I don’t want my daughter to feel the same way. Regards.

This gym is the best! The staff and coaches are all so sweet and friendly and go above and beyond. My two daughters attend gymnastics classes during the week, and go to the all day camps whenever school is out. Their gymnastics camp is literally THE ONLY CAMP my kids have ever Begged to go to! That speaks volumes!

Our daughter has been at Orlando Metro Gymnastics since January of 2020. We started in recreational classes but there was absolutely NO instruction for the kids so we decided to see what other options we had. We wanted a class that provided more push for our daughter. We were recommended to go into PRETEAM which prepares the gymnast for competition level gymnastics. It came with a hefty increase in fees but we didn't mind because our daughter really enjoyed it. We have been in PRETEAM for an extensive amount of time, watching others get promoted to level 1 team. I would often inquire about how my child was doing and would always get the answer "she is doing better." We loved our coach, Morgan. She was the only one we noticed giving some sort of effort into teach the gymnast. Summer came and they changed the scheduling for the classes to be during working hours and expected parents to utilize their on-site summer camp to be able to attend the gymnastic class - BUT NEVER COMMUNICATED, so we had to pull our daughter from preteam to do recreational classes over the summer to maintain whatever skills she had - the classes again provided little to no instruction for the kids. We went back to preteam now that they are back to a normal schedule - however over the last 6-8 months we have noticed MAJOR TURNOVER in employees - I couldn't even tell you who our team coach is any longer - someone new every week. They have increased the class size which allows even more lack of instruction for the kids - My daughter socializes more than doing gymnastics the four hours she is there a week. Due to our daughters interest in gymnastics, we sucked it up and let her stay but honesly, we have seen little to no improvement in her skills. We have had enough with O.M.G. and decided to move on to something else. We have personally had a not so great experience with O.M.G. as well as other parents whom I have spoken to.

I will give 1 star because I need to leave a review but my opinion is I wouldn’t give any stars. I am very disappointed of my daughter trial class.
We arrived and I told the GIRL was at the front desk my daughter had her trial class this was past Monday, she just said my daughter should take off her shoes and socks and wait for the class to start… aha… the trainer came called the kids and she EVEN knew my daughter had her trial class that day, she grabbed my daughter and left, the trainers didn’t teach my daughter WHAT TO DO on her first day, and when the class was done they left THEY DIDN’t talk to me as a parent to talk about the development of my daughter there…. I went again to the front thesk and the girl asked me if I wanted to sign up my daughter and of course I didn’t want to! I didn’t like what I saw that day.
Hire people with enthusiasm to work…. Because the staff I watched on Monday didn’t convince me to sign up my kid, I didn’t like the dynamic with the toddlers, and I also didn’t like the gasp of communication with parents. THANK GOD I didn’t pay for that waist of time trial class.

8/7/21 Update: Front office was packed so my daughter didn’t make it til a bit later into class.
Recommend getting there earlier. Mgr/Coach Jess apologized for it at the end of class which I appreciated. Jess was very friendly, professional and GREAT with the kids, which I commend her for. I watched Jess take her time to instruct each child and there was another trainer girl floating around checking them so I felt that the kids were safe and secure and getting the most out of their lessons. The kids got to take a break halfway in between and I saw them having lots of fun.
Thank you Jess for rectifying the situation.
………
Update: The manager on duty, Jessica, rectified the situation in a manner that was sufficient. I’ve updated to two stars and will update further depending on how their service is when I come take my child for her final classes.
…..
Absolute terrible customer service. Wasted my money with their lack of communication. Was given the runaround several times yet they sure called to get payment when my questions had not yet been answered and no one called back in a timely fashion. It’s been miscommunication after another and the staff became defensive with me. I was hung up on by Shirley after not receiving the information I asked for. When I called again for a manager or contact for a director, they kept giving me the runaround. Front office staff does not know what they’re doing. Extremely unprofessional and not what I expected from an “Olympic” facility. It feels like a scam. I will be reporting to the BBB and other mediums.

On Monday (07/12/2021 @5:30pm), we took our son to his trial class. His instructor was Angie, the first 15 minutes involved a warm up exercises and stretching which my son had difficulty following because it was his first time being involved in an activity like this. Unfortunately, during the warm up exercise and stretching the instructor did very little in instructing my son to follow the activity but instead directed 95% of her attention to the majority of the class who obviously had experience. After the stretching routine the class made it to the uneven bars. The instructor took the class to the bars where each kid took turns hanging on the bar and having each kid touch the bar with their toes while hanging on it. When it was my son's turn the instructor assisted my son by helping him hang on the bar and lifted his feet so his toes would touch the bar. At this point my son's feet was touching the bar and his head pointing towards the ground. All of a sudden, my son lets go of the bar and hits the ground hard with his neck and head. As my son was falling, I could see that the instructor made no attempt in catching my son as he fell to the ground. When my son hit the ground, you could see his neck and head fold over to the point his face was touching his chest during the impact. This is a very, very bad and possibly damaging fall, my son could have ended paralyzed. As my son laid there crying in pain, The instructor showed no remorse in her face as she kneel next to him. The instructor picks up my son and carries him over to us and says "it's a soft mat and he is just in shock" and basically played it off as if nothing happened. The instructor provided no apology or remorse of an incident that she could have prevented but due to her lack of attentiveness, lack of focus, lack of concentration, and improper spotting my son got hurt and paid for her mistake. The following day I left a message with the company since management was not available to express the horrific experience. Management didn't call me back until I sent a detailed email, pictures, and video about the experience. Apparently, the email got there attention because I received a phone call from the Manager (Cary) and she said that after reading and seeing the pictures the instructor (Angie) will be terminated for what happened because what my son experience should not happen. On Tuesday (07/26/21) I went back to the Orlando Metro Gymnastic to see if the Manager was true to her word by terminating Angie but unfortunately Angie was still working and instructing the same class that my son was in. Apparently, the manager's word can't be trusted.
Our experience with Orlando Metro Gymnastic has been disappointing and regretful. The instructors' inadequacies, incompetence, and unsympathetic demeanor just shows the quality of instructor that Orlando Metro Gymnastic has to offer. For the parents that are interested in this gym please skip this gym, there are other gymnastic gyms that will give the appropriate attention and care to your precious ones.

This place has being a journey with my little Goddaughter, Two classes a week and always different coaches… one of them very nice, respectful, patient and others are totally opposite. Not sure why they have “coaches” teaching the little ones when they aren’t capable to perform this job. Not recommended if you have a toddler.

So far it's been great! Coaches Jason and Kerry are super nice and treat the gymnasts with respect. They are attentive and great at giving gymnasts the help they need. The facility is also really nice and new. Love the glass windows and natural sunlight. It gets a little crowded at certain points, but then it's nice and quiet later on, which is nice.

So I want to start off by saying this facility seemed clean and well taken care of and that is the only nice thing that I can say. So let’s give the whole story and share why I feel this needs to be addressed with management and I hope that this happens to nobody else. Okay here we go! I called on 1/4 to schedule my 3 year old for a preschool class. The employee that helped me was extremely friendly and really worked with me to find a time that worked best. So on that day we scheduled his class for 1/13 @ 4:30. We were super excited and so was my son. All week we were telling him and he kept practicing his somersaults and was just elated he was going to start gymnastics. So 1/13 comes and I thought it was weird I didn’t have it on my calendar so I thought I would call to confirm. At 2:30 on 1/13 I called and spoke to a different front office employee. She CONFIRMED that he was on schedule for the 4:30 class. We spoke about payment and what was the procedure all in all had a very nice conversation. Now it’s 4:30 and I pull into the facility and go inside. I wait to be helped and when I finally am helped I say I’m checking in for my sons first class. She looked at me and looked at my son asked for our name and I told her. She then says I don’t believe we have a 4:30 class for you. So what changed from 2:30 - 4:30 that magically no class was suddenly available. Well as time goes by and I’m left in the front with my child it seems super chaotic. Teachers are running around saying they can’t find rosters. I was thinking what is happening in this place. Why are they so disorganized? Well 15 minutes later I’m told they don’t have an opening at 5:30 sorry they will call me next week if something opens up. That the class must have been canceled. If the class was truly canceled don’t you think it would have been proper to call the parents to tell them. I question was the class canceled? Why weren’t they more willing to correct the problem THEY created? Why am I holding a crying child because he can’t get down and do what we had been telling him he was going to do? Why is the solution just we will call you next week with something IF it opens up. My suggestion to management get organized, come up with a better system then letting coaches change and cancel classes whenever they want. Communication was a miss in this situation.
Update - The manager called after reading the post and was extremely apologetic. This was a mess of miscommunication.

I have nothing but good things to say about this gym. My daughter has been attending this gym since January of this year, and they were wonderful when COVID began. They offered free online classes. Coach Jess is wonderful! However, I can’t say the same for the front office staff particularly the assistant manager. My daughter has been enrolled in Orlando Metro Gymnastics Lake Mary for about 6 months. Yesterday, on our way to gymnastics there was an accident which caused me to run extremely late for our 5:30 gymnastics on Monday. I tried to go a different route but my navigation kept rerouting me to the same area where the street was blocked off due to the accident. I realized that I was going to be at least 30 min late due to the accident so I called the gym and explained the situation to them. I asked perhaps if I could bring her in on Thursday since they also have a 4 year old class at 5:30. I know for a fact that class isn’t full because my daughter recently switched from that class. I was told that in the contract that I signed it stated that you’ll need to miss two classes in order to make up one. I clearly understand the policy however considering the circumstances in which I couldn’t get to the gym I was hoping that they would be a bit more understanding. The assistant manager repeatedly stated the policy and said there was nothing she could do. I then asked to speak to the manager and was told that the manager wasn’t in but she would have the manager call me the same evening. It’s now the next day and no call from the manager (over 24 hours). I find this to be very unprofessional and personally unfair to my 4 year old daughter who has to miss gymnastics due to something that was beyond our control. I’m very disappointed and would not recommend this gym to anyone due to their customer service and lack of empathy.
