I have been going to Pensacola Fitness since Omni closed down 16 years ago.
I have been working out for 40 years and can say Pensacola fitness is the best gym I ever worked out at.
They have more equipment than you will ever need. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It really has a family atmosphere. The owners are very hands on and do a great job making it the best gym in Pensacola. I highly recommend Pensacola fitness for anymore that looking for gym that they feel right at home.

Sauna policy has changed as of today so that it is closed during non-staffed hours. I left today at 8:20 PM (sign says open until 10:00 on Friday’s, so most would assume staff would be present until 10:00). I often go to the gym late at night, so this is quite frustrating since we have 24 hour access.

I understand there is a risk with having members in a sauna during non staffed hours. There is also an inherent risk with using any gym equipment, staffed or not, and I guarantee there is a hold harmless clause in your contract. However, I’ve been a member here for over four months and use the sauna almost every time I visit. I do not recall any employees checking on the sauna, even during staffed hours. Please change it back, it’s one of the amenities that makes this place better than world gym across the street.

Lagre gym with more then enough equipment to satisfy even the most hard-core lifter. Not only do they have great assortment of iron, they also have a ton of pin selection machines. The cardio Area in the back is well stocked in treadmills elliptical and stair masters. Day pass is only $10 and they are staffed 6am daily.

I’ll have to agree with the review before mine. I’ve been at this gym for 2 years now, I was reluctant to join because of cleanliness. The price & size of the gym, compared to the competition, was ultimately what sold me. That being said, in the 2 years I’ve been a member I’ve seen minimal if any new equipment. The machines are often broken and not fixed in a timely manner. On top of that the gym could seriously use a DEEP clean. I’ve seen the workers clean periodically, but mostly just vacuuming the main walkways. There are piles of dust clumped up against all the mirrors and the gym permanently smells. I’ve heard from male friends that the men’s restroom is terrible, the woman’s isn’t terrible but it also isn’t necessarily clean. Seriously, one deep clean every few weeks(by professionals) would make THAT much of difference. With the amount of members and what we pay monthly + the yearly maintenance fee, I just feel it would greatly benefit the gym if we saw them putting care into the cleanliness of the gym. As far as I’m concerned it’s just collecting money and dust at the same rate.

They have all the equipment you can wish for. However some of the equipment is in bad condition. Also the general hygiene is bad. Urinals have a strong stench. Indicating they haven’t been cleaned properly in a long time and are not maintained well. Stuff is incredibly dirty and the whole gym has an old/sweaty smell.

It’s not an expensive gym, but they do also charge extra cleaning costs each year. Which is a bit ironic. They should clean better and install a couple smell dispensers that get rid of the old/sweaty smell in the gym.

Then this gym could definitely be much better. Now, not more than 2/5.

Shame on your company for making your employees have to turn to Facebook charity groups to get supplies to care for the kids in your care. I mean, seriously, if you can't handle buying cleaning supplies for the day care, what other areas are you not cleaning up? Absolutely shocked by the state of the men’s bathroom and sauna. The sauna smelt like urine and had weeks worth of mold and grime. As well as old trash in the corners. The staff did not care when I asked them about it. I even called the store manager to see the state of the sauna and he showed zero concern. “Not my gym” was his words.

Solid gym overall. Just about all the equipment you could desire. Some of it is a little run down, but I’d say about 90% of it is in good shape.

Pricing is fair. I know it varies but I’m paying around $26/mo. for a 12 month contract.

I’d say the biggest drawback of this gym is the overall cleanliness. It’s pretty dirty and dusty compared to other gyms I’ve been to. The air is pretty stuffy and has kind of a pee stench to it. It’s one of those smells that’ll make you want a breath mint after your workout.

I’ve seen the crew clean a little bit. But they must not be very thorough, because I’ll come across nooks and crannies of this gym that look like they haven’t been cleaned or sanitized in months… just caked with dust and debris.

Im not expecting any gym to be spotless.. that would be unrealistic. But I do believe there’s room for improvement here in an otherwise great gym.

Before I moved out of Pensacola I canceled my planet fitness AND my Pensacola fitness membership. Haven’t been there for well over a year. They sent me to collections and now my score is down 44 points. Never heard from them prior to.
Besides this situation, the gym overall was not great. Crowded and people constantly filming so good luck using any equipment. The one redeeming quality I will say is some of the front desk workers were kind.
I would recommend chips or formerly aerobics and fitness now the YMCA Gulf Breeze. Have been to a lot of gyms and never had such a poor experience.

Cheap monthly prices, and a large selection of equipment. Any piece of equipment you could desire, they've got it. However, the quality of said equipment is lacking. Nearly all the barbels are bent, which endangers users during heavy lifts, especially ones that involve moving the bar above your head. Also, absolutely no enforcement of dress codes, so if you find it gross to try to workout while a lady in a bikini does rdls in front of your face, or if you don't like sexual messages on men's t shirts, this isn't the place for you. My summary would be that if you are into bodybuilding or cardio, great gym for a great price! If you do powerlifting or Oly lifts, you might want to look elsewhere.

pretty great gym. atmosphere, equipment, etc make this my favorite gym in pensacola. only two complaints are that there are only 3 squat racks, and a lot of the barbells are pretty bent up. people talk about it being dirty, but compared to a lot of bodybuilding gyms that are similar to pcola fitness, its pretty clean. definitely worth the price at $26 a month for a basic membership

Good equipment and good space, and a lot of variety of equipment. Although the age of a lot of the equipment is apparent (not really a deal breaker … it works) however the gym is filthy. Like shockingly dirty. Not sure when the floors would have been vacuumed or mopped last. Mirrors have a thick coating of haze over them. Men’s bathroom sink counter had visible mold around it and smelled like urine. I manage a small gym so I understand that cleaning it can be daunting but it’s inexcusable a place can be this dirty.

This gym isn’t just dirty. It’s filthy. Especially the child care center. Do not bring your children, trust me. The child care workers are always on their phones and do not communicate. Both of the younger girls working there have a terrible teenage attitude just like the front desk people. Definitely unexperienced with children. Super unwelcoming! I can’t believe this gym has 4.5 stars😂 it’s a joke! Broken and run down equipment and some how is completely packed during peak hours.

Love working out here. Great atmosphere. Team is extremely helpful. Affordable. Plenty of equipment to use to workout. Brad specifically has been friendly, helpful, and awesome to work with. Easily the best gym in the Pensacola area and one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. They have a great variety of equipment ranging from multiple power racks to the little things most gyms lack such as lacrosse balls and bands etc.

At first sight it looks a little rough around the edges. However, they actually do update it and have timely repairs. Similarly, it may be intimidating to those who are just starting their fitness journey, I highly recommend asking about personal training. From what I’ve seen the trainers are very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Their clientele range from student athletes to the geriatric.

No frills, no hassle gym perfect for if you're serious about fitness. They have tons of cardio equipment, some of it definitely old and creaky but works. They have a huge variety of weights, including barbell racks, dumbbells, and machines for every muscle. They seriously need more racks and more areas for deadlifts. Only 4 racks for squats, 4 racks for benching, and 2 areas for deadlifting means you're going to wait regularly to lift. You'll also wait for a bench at the free weights and certain machines at busy times. My favorite part is the sauna. As a woman, I've never felt uncomfortable here and no men have ever hassled me. I truly don't understand the people who say this gym is pricey. It's $20 a month....how much cheaper can it possibly be?

Value is below average. For the same price ($30 per month) the amenities that LA Fitness has that Pensacola Fitness dosen't have includes: pool, jacuzzi spa, racquetball, basketball, better equipment, and larger variety of equipment.

When in Pensacola, Florida, this is the ONLY real weight gym. It is a serious and focused gym. Day passes are available too. It the gym has a large parking lot. And the smoothie bar is top notch! The staff is very kind and professional.
