Taking Pilates with Lisa Harvey has been one of the best decisions I have made for my body and mind. Over the past few years, I’ve learned so much from Lisa about proper form, body awareness, movement, stretching, core training, breathing and strength training. Lisa takes time to explain how each movement works and how it connects to posture and strength in daily life.
When I started Pilates with Lisa, I was struggling with tight hips, low back pain, limited range of motion, poor posture, and joint pain. Further, I lacked the confidence that I could improve. But - working with Lisa has been a true game changer! I now feel completely different. My hip pain and low back pain has substantially diminished, my core is noticeably stronger, my posture has improved and I move with more ease and confidence.
What stands out most about Lisa is her ability to encourage, yet still challenge you to do your most impactful work. Lisa pushes you to progress while still keeping every session supportive and fun. Each class is thoughtfully planned and the variations keep me engaged and motivated.
Pilates with Lisa has changed the way I move, live, and how I feel in my body. I am stronger, healthier, more flexible, and more mindful than ever. I am beyond grateful for Lisa’s expertise, patience, and constant encouragement. I leave every class feeling stronger, empowered, inspired and looking forward to coming back to the next session.
Pilates with Lisa has not only reshaped my body but has renewed my energy, confidence and outlook on life. I am forever grateful to Lisa for the better health that I am in today.

Lisa Day is an amazing Pilates and Yoga Teacher! I love working with her! Every session starts with her asking how you are feeling and what you need that day. She also knows how to read the body and what it needs that day to start moving and to keep moving. Lisa watches you carefully and corrects you as you do each exercise as needed. Her cueing and guiding you through the moves is so helpful. I have a herniated disc and other minor issues like most people. Lisa has helped to keep me strong and healthy so that I can continue to enjoy golf, biking, hiking and to be strong enough to keep up with the housework. Lisa has also shared how I can continue to strengthen and stretch my body in between sessions. I leave every class feeling longer, stronger and with the ability to move well.

I had surgery for stenosis and other disc problems. Before and after surgery I have gone to Pilates with Lisa Day. She listened to my problems and customized a work out for me. I’m a 100% better that I attribute to Lisa and Pilates. I can’t say enough about her and her technical knowledge. She has been fantastic.

I've had the privilege of working with Lisa for the last 9 months for pilates. I've never felt stronger and more challenged since I've started working with her. She is thoughtful in her instructions- always focusing on alignment and posture. Lisa manages to create new sequences using the Pilates machines, functional movement exercises and core strengthening techniques. Her creativity is incredible! I love walking into the studio and hear her say " what do you want to work on today?" Lisa manages to mix it up so you are never bored and always feel challenged. Lisa is calm and encouraging- she is a pleasure to work with.

As someone that was feeling intimidated by Pilates and all the machines, Lisa immediately made me feel comfortable with the process and even come to enjoy it. Lisa has a wonderful attitude and always takes good care to respect and protect my old injuries. After working with her for several months, I feel much more open, balanced and limber. I am grateful to Lisa for inspiring and challenging me to strive for optimal health and fitness. She has quite a gift!

I have been taking Pilates with Lisa twice a week for the past 8 months, and almost 76 my golf is stronger than ever. She is constantly mixing up our routine so it is never boring and pushing me to be stronger especially working on my balance which is a problem due to a very arthritic ankle. I am leaving Florida to go up north for 5 months and she had written out exactly what she is dong with me so I can find a teacher up north to continue her good work. She even tries to distract me while I am doing my balance work to make sure I still maintain my balance. She is warm and caring and a pleasure to work with, Lisa is not only my teacher but my friend. If you are looking for a Pilates instructor, she is the best. Sue L.

I am 72 years old and, as a result of many, orthopedic surgeries ( hip, knees, ankles) over the last ten years or so, I have issues, specifically balance and walking. I have been seeing Lisa for pilates twice a week for about the past six months and she is perfect for me. Initially Lisa observed as I was evaluated by a physical therapist who noted my challenges and made recommendations. For me, she is the perfect combination of task master and cheerleader. She pushes me (gently) to do and be my best, all the while cheering my progress and accomplishments. Lisa is a great listener and works with me and, although I have a ways to go, she is helping me to overcome my significant obstacles and challenges. I realize that, at age 72, I will always have physical "issues" but am confident that Lisa will help me reach a place where I can be my best and function with much more confidence.

Don't know where to begin. I had awful issues with, back, leg, hip, knee and feet due to 2.5 total knee replacements in 26 months. Leg atrified to point of needing to wear special shoes in order to stand even. After 5 years I was introduced to Lisa Day and Pilates. Who would have thunk I'd be doing Pilates, farthest though from my mind. However let me tell you this, For the first time in years I can now stand, sit and walk with very little pain. No more drugs... None of this would be possible if it were not for Lisa and her in-depth knowledge how the body works and and what's needed to heal. She is not only and excellent instructor, she's one of the most wonderful, thoughtful, kind and understanding persons one can meet in your life. Her warm smile and constant words of encouragement are what helped me heal. I strongly suggest anyone with issues related to the body to make an appointment with Lisa. Your life will change for the better, mine most definitely did. I'll be forever grateful.

Lisa is an absolutely stellar pilates and yoga teacher. Her awareness of how the body moves makes her amazing for anyone with an injury. I highly recommend her if you are hestitant in getting back into exercise. Her careful questioning of how your body is feeling at each session and how she always remembers former "sticky" spots is only part of what makes her such a great professional. Highly recommend!

Lisa is one of those people you instantly feel comfortable around. I first met Lisa when I assisted during her teacher training, and it has been impressive to watch her evolution from a good yoga teacher to an exceptional yoga teacher and pilates instructor. I'm klutzy by nature and a bit daunted by all the pilates props and machines, but Lisa has a way of explaining everything clearly. Her good-natured style helped me feel at ease and comfortable working at my own level, with plenty of challenge too. After a private pilates session with Lisa, my often tweaky hip felt some amazing relief. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned practitioner or somewhere in-between, I highly recommend treating yourself to a class or private session with Lisa.

Tried yoga for the first time years ago and found it difficult but challenging. It requires incredible focus, learning your body in detail. It has helped me workout better at the gym by being able to focus better on specific areas. Lisa has been incredible with teaching Teresa and I, never letting us cheat ourselves. It's been fun learning along side Lisa as she has been learning to teach as well. She keeps it simple and works with our limits while still pushing us. The environment in her studio is quiet and easy to find a flow in as there is no pressure.

Lisa is a gem of a teacher. She has great informative cues and gives the best assists in yoga. I've also taken one on one pilates sessions with her and she was wonderful at catering to my needs and challenging my body. All the while having lots of fun! She has overall a great understanding of the body and really skillful hands. A group class with her is already a treat but a one on one session is definitely a worthy splurge.

I first tried Lisa's yoga class - I loved her gentle corrections to my form and reminders to lift my rib cage, relax my shoulders and of course to breathe. Even though she gives gentle corrections on form - in no way would I say her classes are easy. Her corrections usually eases joint discomfort and helps target the intended muscle even more. Her class got me loose, limber, and sweating. Plus I was sore the following day. I liked Lisa as a teacher so much I tried a Pilates private session. O wow. She targeted muscles I didn't know I had. Plus she got those stubborn places l never knew how to get -like armpit fat, back bra fat and the butt. The Pilates machines really get to the point. I am not sure which I like best - yoga or Pilates but I think Lisa is amazing. She is kind and approachable. And she has a wealth of knowledge and bag of tricks that can up-level anything.

I have been in the hospitality industry for almost 35 years where I've learned that knowledge and competency are the core attributes that make a great professional. That being said Lisa Day has to be one the most thoughtful, competent and down to earth instructors I have ever meet. From our first phone conversation to my last class (last week) I have gotten to know an inspired woman truly dedicated to the her art and craft with genuine passion. As a first time male 47 year old yoga student I was nervous with the prospects of trying yoga but I knew I had to make a change after some challenging heath issues and somehow I felt yoga could help in a way that the gym just couldn't. After a great initial phone call about my goals, limitations and fears we had our first class to see where I was. Little did I know what kind of amazing journey I was about to embark upon and what has become a truly life changing experience. By our second class she had a course of action developed for specifically for my personal goals and what I could actually do. As I progressed I noticed that each class had been carefully arraigned in her notebook. I felt I was not just a number or another 'client' as she watched and listened to what I was saying both physically and with my voice. I am now 20 pounds lighter and can do things I would seriously never of dreamed possible just 12 weeks ago. Every person close to me has commented on the positive direction my health (and my attitude) has taken! I would give Lisa the highest rating possible and highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking about trying her amazing classes!

I am 55 years old and have never really done yoga before with any consistency nor willingness of spirit. I always felt you had to be young, skinny, and fit to participate. I attended my first Forrest Yoga class several months ago and was very impressed and comfortable with Lisa as well as her abilities to reach not only me but others. Her willingness to be vulnerable helped me to be present without judging myself as to what I could do or not do. Whether modifying poses, explaining breath work, to taking up space and living large, she makes the class challenging yet fun. The wall work which was intimidating for me has now become fun and enjoyable. I feel encouraged, supported, pushed and accepted exactly where I am. I continue to participate in Lisa's classes because I am changing inside and out with each experience. I am now participating in her Pilates classes and am excited about not only the adventure I am on but excited about where it will lead, knowing exactly where I am is enough.
