Women’s Locker Room Filthy.
Large Clumps of Hair in one shower while the next is Out of Order.

Tissue all around the toilet.
Floors onviously haven’t been swept.

Decided I’d clean a bit myself before working out and later taking a shower before work but couldn’t find papertowels anywhere.

Walked around the gym looking for one.
Spoke to the two guys up front but they didn’t comprehend what Paper Towels meant.

Found one behind the two guys working. Took it but it was just as repugnant with greenish mold on it.

While we have enjoyed this gym, the recent layout change is very confusing and inefficient. Who made the decision to put equipment in the small workout room up against mirrors? What value does this offer, taking up space where members were able to use free weights, do mat work, aerobics etc. If you needed space for new equipment, then you should have removed old equipment or you purchased too much for the gym space.

There is no where to go now comfortably to do anything other than a machine. If you try near an open mirror to watch your form, you are in the way of someone using a machine. The 60 second area is now filled with stacked, piled up high clutter of free form equipment with no room to do anything. Not good, layout needs to be reworked!

The planet fitness location at the corner of old Boynton road & military trail has a hot/cold compression chair. It’s fabulous; however you have to be a black card member to access it & the other nearby locations don’t have it. This location has a decent area for stretching. The two times I’ve been here it wasn’t crowded; the second surprisingly of which was in the evening during the week. Just like the other planet fitness locations it is ridiculously clean. Like most other PF locations you will find most if not all the equipment found at a typical PF; but on a positive note this location still has arc trainers which have disappeared from a lot of other PF gyms. The staff here seems much more open & friendlier compared to the west Delray location. The hours of operation are better than west Delray because this location stays open an extra hour on the weekends.

It’s a good location just 1 thing I dislike that it’s kinda dim in there lighting wise. The lights are there just all of them aren’t turned on or “up”. That’s the only thing that bothers me. However, the management doesn’t enforce the 30 minute workout area so people will come in there instead of the lobby to hang out on their phones or stay and do several reps instead of moving on. The young man at the front desk was very helpful this morning and showed me how to connect my Bluetooth ear buds and listen to the TV's. Then he showed my husband as well! He was very patient and polite! I also want to mention Antoine, who I met as he was cleaning the women's locker room. This gym used to be very convenient and clean. Recently though it has become aged, rundown and crowded. There are machines that have been missing hand grips for more than a year without repair. There are ALWAYS some machines down for service and paper towel racks are either broken or empty. Needs someone to come in and revamp. Still cheap though so if you're looking to save some money and put up with waiting to use old equipment, it can work.

I am so impressed by the work that is being done at this gym location. This particular crew (Mikah, Jaydon,Laura,Julia, and Antonio) is by far the best crew of workers this gym has had. This location is kept clean. The machines don't stay out of order to long. They make sure to greet the customers as they come and go. I've said it before and I will say it again Mikah and Jaydon take such good care of this gym you would think that they are the owners. If and when problems occur they address them immediately. I called earlier in the day and asked about a day pass because I have been to the Planet Fitness in Boynton Beach and the surrounding areas previously about 2 years ago and was curious if the gym changed or if it's the same. I spoke with a young lady and she let me know that I could get a day pass for free even though I have been there previously. When I went in the manager Micah told me I have to pay because I have been there before. I let him know I did speak to somebody and she told me something completely different than what he said. I was extremely surprised he didn't honor it and when I called back to inquire about this he told me I gave him attitude which is false. I called the surrounding planet fitness' and they all said I could get a free day pass even though I have been there previously as a gym member. At that time when I called back to the one in Boynton Beach I let Micah know that I called the surrounding areas and they had no problem with giving me the day pass. He said I gave him attitude and that's why he wasn't going to give me the free day pass. I was going to sign up but with customer service like that it does not make me want to join that gym especially when there's Youfit, LA Fitness and the YMCA and other gyms nearby. I hope this is just a learning experience for Micah and the other team members that work there.
I hope there is a manager or someone in corporate that can resolve this issue and gain another member (again).

Nestled in a quaint strip mall, Planet Fitness is a compact gym that surprises with its efficient use of space and solid variety of equipment. I visited around 11 AM on a weekday, and the atmosphere was wonderfully calm, allowing for a focused workout. The small size of the gym works in its favor during these quieter hours, as every machine and weight feels accessible and inviting.
However, I noticed a significant shift as noon approached. By that time, the gym was packed. While this is an indicator of its popularity, it did create challenges in accessing certain machines. I was grateful to have started my workout early, as finding a free machine later on was no easy feat. For those looking to visit during peak hours, arriving early or being flexible in your workout routine may prove beneficial.
One area that stood out positively was the women's locker room. It was clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated. However, I did notice the absence of toilet seat covers, a small yet significant detail that could enhance the overall experience. While I understand that not everyone may be diligent about cleanliness, it's always nice when gyms take extra steps to ensure that all patrons feel comfortable and cared for.
I did visit 2 days in a row, the second visit wasnt the best to say the least - associates took a while to check me in.

Bad gym staffed by rude children. At any given time several machines are out of order often for a week or more. Even the functioning equipment is in poor condition with loose parts. Staff are generally unhelpful and do not enforce the cellphone policies which are posted. They do however enforce the bag policy which is not posted in the facility. After using this gym for a year now suddenly my small back pack is a problem. When I asked for the manager I was told they were not present and staffed refused to give me the managers name. Looking for another gym. Do yourself a favor and give this place a miss!

Sadly I have to report another bad experience today (6/29/2024). The same and more equipment is still broken. Some equipment has been down for a month or more now. When I asked the front desk attendant about it he just said it was old and they are waiting for parts. When I told him about several bikes not functioning properly he said "there was nothing he could do". I guess he can't even report it to someone who might be able to take action?!? This staff member is the same one who harassed me about carrying a bag yet there were multiple people carrying bags today. Management and the owners don't seem to care but I guess you get what you pay for. Which in this case is not much...

Pretty standard planet fitness, clean enough workout area, good equipment, AC is good… however the men’s bathrooms look like a literal crime scene.

I’m a van lifer who has been to dozens if not hundreds of PFs, and this location might just take the card for the worst showers. Hopped in one post workout and found hundreds of live, wiggling worms/maggots on the tile.

I get it, dudes are gross, the bathrooms aren’t gonna be pristine. I’ve been in plenty of gnarly bathrooms. But they’re a fricken biohazard… def gave me the ick and ruined my experience lol.

On the bright side the staff was very kind and funny about it. Hopefully gets sorted out soon….

I was very attracted to joining a gym chain like this, at first glance it seems like it has a lot of machines.
However, aside from the long wait to use them, I have to wipe off other people's sweat, and the GYM staff doesn't seem to require users to wipe off their sweat or use towels over the pads to avoid leaving the machines soaked.
It would be good if the GYM staff refilled the dispensers with paper so they could clean the sweat from the machines.
As in other GYMs, they could enforce the established rules, and require the use of towels.

This is now the FORTH planet fitness in Palm Beach that the "ADA" Handycapped shower is broken in some way or Not working, in the last two months.
3 days ago I went to shower and found the "ADA" shower chair broken I reported it to the girl working the front desk at Night. As I was walking up to talk to her she was playing on her phone. I kept walking closer untill I got to the desk where her head was still down in her phone. It was not untill I started talking that she finally looked up. I asked her to let the manager know that the shower chair is broken. I returned lastnight 2 days later, to find it still broken. Walmart Home Depot and Lowe's all sell shower chairs. They are LESS than $30. ANY employee can go over and get one. This same girl NEVER says hi to me on the way in. She is either playing on her phone or has her back turned and NEVER says bye or the traditional " Have a good one". always either playing on her phone or has her back turned. She tells me she left a sticky note for the manager. Now 3 days later I talked to the manager who said she was unaware of the broken shower chair??
Able bodied people can use another shower if one is broken. The elderly and handycapped people can't. With the shower chair broken. If someone falls because of a lack of support this can injury someone. Let's see how long it takes this company to put in a simple $30 shower chair.

I usually don't post negative reviews but I am hoping the owner of this location will start to see how many people are affected by the condition of this location. The equipment is so dirty :( and the staff is never on cleaning duty. What is the point to schedule 2 or 3 people if they all just stand behind the counter on their phone. Paper towels are not put in dispenders and hand sanitizer had been empty for 6 months. I used to be a member of youfit and their workers were assigned areas to clean every 45 mins during busy time. I switched to planet fitness because it's so much closer to my house. Now I drive even further to the delray location because it doesn't have dust bunnies and built up dirt from sweat and hair caked in to the machines. I was really looking forward to the new equipment but I tried it out and it was just new treadmills and 2 stairmasters. They will be filthy in a month or 2 as well. The hydro beds smell like straight sewer and are never working up to spec. I've watched this location go downhill over the last 2 years but was hopeful the new equipment and new management would bring change. It's clear that no one inspects equipment, audits area cleanliness or holds people accountable here. Please clean up this location, we all want a neighborhood gym that meets the minimum standards for clean hygiene.

The price and location of the gym are convenient. The desk staff are pleasant. There are not enough bicep curl machines and leg press machines. The bathrooms and showers need to be cleaned more often. I only wish the management would enforce the rules instead of having patrons advise the staff members. Some patrons sit on the machines watching videos and not using the machines or have loud conversations. I think staff could be more proactive. I’m sure my response to this review will be to let the staff and managers know about it. But great management would roll up their sleeves and handle it or train staff members too. Had an issue today with the computers when trying to do something. Unfortunately, we couldn't complete it but Sebastian took my number and helped me out over the phone so I didn't have to come back when everything was up and running. Thanks Sebastian!

Showers with no dressing area!? 😯Huh!? Not good at all. I've been to many different sites as I travel, and this is the 1st one I've seen so far with this issue. I truly hope this gets better, for the sake of the customers.
