I walked in with a simple request, carrying nothing but patience, respect, and clear communication. At first, he seemed willing to help, and I appreciated that. But everything changed the moment a misunderstanding occurred. What followed wasn’t accountability or an attempt to find common ground—instead, he chose to argue. I was simply repeating what he had said, yet he insisted, “I never said that,” not even two minutes later… despite me being on a call and having clear recollection. I was stunned. How do you make a statement and then deny it moments later?

What hurt the most wasn’t just the contradiction—it was how quickly his demeanor shifted, how he seemed to go out of his way to offend me. I left feeling deeply disappointed and honestly, disrespected. If I didn’t have the $10 senior membership, I would have cancelled it right then. And I hate that I now feel uncomfortable at a place I had high hopes for.

What breaks my heart is this: yesterday was my very first day at this gym. I just moved to the area and finally built up the courage to walk in and give it a try. And now… this is the memory that marks the beginning.

I have been coming here for a very long time, and I was stopped by Eddie, he told me I couldn't workout with crocs, while I understand policy, I had came out of the hospital and I needed them. But also no one ever told me. I do understand policy, but he was very rude and nasty. He grabbed my shoulder and back and pushed me. He could have badly hurt me. Something needs to be done because I shouldn't have been mistreated. Especially since I am an elderly woman. He needs to learn to treat people with respect.

The location is great, but the men’s locker always has piss on the floor by the urinals, the showers literally have black mold and the toilet areas always dirty. The staff pretty much just stand in the front on their phones, no one works on the weekends and the one guy that does is either drunk or always drinking cause you can smell the alcohol when he talks. No manager on any shift with the exception of the day shift on the week days. Staff doesn’t address young kids who run around unchecked. Broken lockers, new massage chairs that don’t work, I can go on and on. I only go there because cause it’s convenient. But so many liabilities, I’m surprised the city of coconut creek hasn’t shut the place down. Black mold causes respiratory issues. Hopefully management can address these issues, it’s a shame cause it’s a beautiful gym.

This location used to have a fantastic trainer. A lot of people worked out with him. However, he left over a year ago, and they have not hired a new trainer yet. That was the primary reason I went to PF, and now I have been driving farther to use another gym that has a trainer. It is unfortunate that it is clearly not a priority to find another trainer, despite this being noted as a perk of membership.

Don't do it. You will NEVER be able to cancel. You will be told to send a signed letter in to cancel your account. Then for months and months they will still charge your card. I called back in after 6 months after still being charged and now they change the goal post of how to cancel. Awful experience - do not join if you can't cancel.

I’ve had such a great experience at Planet Fitness! Every time I walk in, the front desk staff greets me with a smile and makes me feel so welcome. They’re always friendly, helpful, and create such a positive atmosphere from the moment you step through the door. It really sets the tone for a great workout. If I can give minus and I will do. I joined the club for more than a week and everything was fine. I went to gym this evening wearing my normal toe covered shoes (not crocs but with holes superficially). There was a very lovely “polite” working staff telling me I don’t know your feet or other guest feet and you HAVE TO wear sneakers and showed his beautiful hand telling me to go away! He didn’t even give me alternatives to do some other activities like arms or chest or legs or whatever! It is very disappointing how staff treating customers. I am giving him a bad review because I am very upset about his manner and attitude.

I toured several gyms and one reason I chose PF was for the free workout classes included.
When I asked today for the list of classes offered I was informed there were no classes at this location because there were no instructors. My membership does not allow me to use other locations. So one of the main reasons I joined is unavailable. So if the classes are important to you, find another gym

It’s 6:06 am and I’ve been here since 5 am. No one at the desk, no staff on the floor. I solely come to this gym when I need to tan and not having any staff at the desk for over an hour is unacceptable.., I see the over night staff coming out of the back room l, clearly sleeping the whole time n come out when it’s time to clock out. Ppl have to go to work after working out, we don’t have time to stand there waiting n hoping someone will help them. The hiring of staff in this gym sucks!!!!!! This is the third time I am reviewing at this gym. Either the staff has major attitude as if we are bothering them or they are no where to be found for hours. Clearly the upper management has no clue on what is going on at this gym ..: horrible.

I have been to four PF locations. Just like all the other locations I’ve been to it is very clean. Out of the four I’ve been to this is the biggest. While I have not been here during peak hours (M-F, 5-8 PM) there is plenty of space to roam & not feel claustrophobic (unlike the other 3 locations) if & when it gets crowded. Just like the other locations I imagine there is not enough equipment during peak hours. This location has a plenty of space for stretching. This location has most if not all the typical equipment & machines found usually at any PF location. As a black card member & this not being my home location I am disappointed this PF does not have a hot/cold compression chair. When I was there a few weeks ago they still have not replaced their hydro & mechanical massage chairs which are overdue for replacement.

Even though I have a PF Black Card membership, every morning when I try to bring my spouse as a guest, a short, thin female employee at the front desk refuses entry. The reason given is that my membership is not registered at this location. However, according to Planet Fitness’ official policies, Black Card members can access any location and bring a guest every day.

Experiencing this issue every morning is extremely frustrating and disappointing in terms of customer service. I have never encountered this problem at any other Planet Fitness location, yet this particular branch seems to be enforcing arbitrary restrictions on guest access.

I expect the management of this branch to provide an explanation and to adhere to Planet Fitness’ official guest policies. Otherwise, I will escalate this issue to higher authorities.

I kindly request the attention of the responsible parties.

Wonderful planet fitness. One of the only ones open 24/7 in the area. Has a large open area for stretching and the 360. Lots of room and equipment. Showers are nice, updated with good water pressure and hot water. Fake plant in the locker room gives it an extra touch of comfort. Black toilets.

I initially visited Planet Fitness as a guest, and thanks to Brandon’s friendly and informative approach, I ended up signing up for a membership. He took the time to explain the amenities, answer all my questions, and even offered helpful solutions to ensure the membership worked for me.

On the other hand, my experience with Naydine was disappointing. She had a smug attitude, didn’t explain any amenities, and made no effort to make us feel welcome, which ultimately led to my guest deciding not to sign up.

Hopefully with more training the other members of the team can provide customer service on par with Brandon.

Visiting from out of state and needed to work out. I understand it is christmas eve, but comon curtesy are not here. Wanted a water but they had none. So was going for a another drink. They girl was to busy on the computer to actually acknowledge it was standing there. After couple of minutes mumbles 375 with out looking up at me. Then mumbles that my card wasn't excepted. I was shocked then the guy says they don't except my card on file. I stated I never had issues before. He shrugged and said oh. As I walking away he starts in how it is my fault. Was working in the hillsboro area and decided to check out this PF. Plenty of equipment and easy to access . The black card spa area is nice and roomy too. The staff seems to do a good job of keeping on top of cleaning and maintenance. My only complaint was
I use the total body enhancement machine and some of the functions weren't working. Other than that, I had a great workout.

I was accused of using steroids in the bathroom. In a locked stall. Actually it's prescription testosterone and it's called hormone replacement therapy or HRT. To not allow me access to my medication is unconstitutional and a violation of the American with Disabilities Act. I will be suing for the record as this has caused me severe emotional distress.

Spacious and well located(side by side to a supermarket)
Many equipments for cardio
Affordable and 24h
Not too crowded except for 1-2 hours a day

Cons:
Only 4 Smith Machines, very needed for chest and leg workouts and are full a lot of times. They should consider at least 5 or 6. Especially to avoid long waitings on peak hours.
The girl called Nadine who works on morning. ALWAYS glued on her cellphone, always with closed expression.
Machines out of order waiting weeks and weeks to be fixed.
Dumbbells, weights, handles scattered by people who don’t come back to place due lack of the staff to pay attention of these people or rearrange it.

The gym is great... spacious, clean, friendly staff, very affordable... nice enviroment... The only bad thing I've been noticing in the last month, is that it seems like 1 or 2 new clients aren't returning equipments to their places, after using them... and this wasn't happening before... now, the equipments started being left all over the place... most dummbells aren't on the racks, you have to go looking for them, and sometimes they're found on the other side of the gym... I don't use the plates, but I see them left on the floor, every where now... even though there are signs, asking to return the equipments back to their original places after use... If possible, the gym manager could watch surveillance tapes to identify who's doing it and talk to the person... otherwise, other people could get mad for having to look for equipment, and retaliate by starting to do the same... then it becomes caos and there's no turning back hehe...

This is the only gym I've ever been to that has a water fountain without cold water. Yes you have to bring your own or drink hot water. The locker room is nasty the floor is always pissed on and the management couldn't care less or doesn't have the resources to fix it. I've been here a Few years because of the price but honestly looking to leave soon or change locations. The machines are new and it's a big gym but the beginners and knuckleheads don't follow common sense gym protocol like wiping down your nasty sweat and staying off your phones and not putting random people in your videos behind you. These are all issues that were brought up to management. Nolynn is the manager at this location. These issues have never been addressed. They've only been nodded and yessed to.

While starting my fitness journey, my son advised me to join Planet Fitness. And if it’s good enough for the US Airman that I raised, it’s good enough for me. Make sure you become a Black Card holder so you have the flexibility to go to any location. When you’re as busy as I am, you’re going to need it. I only go to this one because it's close and 24hrs. I use the tanning beds here and there's always something wrong with the stand up units. 3 of them have fans that don't work correctly and 4 of the units have multiple bulbs out. I just signed up for a black card. I asked the front desk girl Nadine to please give my guest a chance to the hydro massage table. She stated that she can not give me two beds since I was the member. I accepted and decided to give my guest my place. Because, I wanted my guest tried so, he buys a membership.
She removed my guest front the bed. And ask us to leave the place. She never offered to try so she was able to sell a new membership. She got upset because she was on the phone and I interrupted her. I have just experienced the worst customer service in my history of being at this gym. Typically I have a wonderful workout and Nadine ruined such a hectic day for me. After thinking that I can go to workout and enjoy like normal she ruined it with her lack of perfectionism.

As I was coming in to workout she stopped and blurted out it didn’t go throw because you didn’t pay. I said okay well let me go get my card and pay. She proceeded to explain the reason and about the late fee. Again no problem let me pay and go workout. She proceeded to say okay just telling you so don’t go crying if this happens again. Wow 😮 I paused and asked who was she talking to with that mouth. At this moment she started mumbling. I will be reaching out to speak with a manager. The bad:
This location only has one pectoral fly machine that is typically occupied by someone using their phone for 15 minutes.

The hand sanitizer dispensers are frequently empty and the floors are dusty.

Machines out-of-service stay that way for days before being fixed.

The good:
Aside from those problems, PF is really affordable and they have everything you need for a great workout!

This location is also next to an awesome super market making it REALLY convenient. Get a great workout in and then get dinner at the best meat & fish market in the area.

Terrible, I went myself last January to cancel my subscription and I just realice that they kept charging me till today. Now they want me to go again, making me lose my time, again. Which I can’t cause I don’t have a car and I don’t live near the gym at all. Nobody can help you through the phone. Is insane, they play with your time and money. Hope I can solve this problem really cause I don’t wanna waist my money and time anymore. The employees don’t help you at all and there is no manager on the place to talk with. Mason, the person who spoke with me and didn’t help at all, said that they left. Insane for a place that have this much of bad reviews.

I've been trying to cancel my membership for almost 3 years now. I got a membership when I was in town. I went twice. Then I called to cancel, front desk said it was taken care of. Few years later I noticed they have been charging my card. I called several times. They said I have to show up in person, or write a letter. Can't show up in person because I don't live there. Wrote a letter, never got any response. Called again, they gave me an email. Wrote to that email 3 times. Still nothing.

3 years later they're still trying to charge my card. These people are horrible. Don't join this gym.

The absolute WORST planet fitness I've ever been to. I am appalled at the way this staff behaves to their customers. I witnessed a 20 minute verbal altercation (almost turned physical fight) between the girl at the front, Nadine, who works the 7am weekday shift, and another lady last week. Nadine is also toxic when it comes to requesting any help. She is always on her phone (GLUED) and does not greet, never smiles, is super short with her replies and has a terrible attitude. She has insulted my husband and others. And don't get me started on catching the workers always on their phone when we walk in, not being helpful or sleeping // laying down on the hydro bed for 10/20 min at a time while on the job. Leaving us customers without help a lot of the time when we need to use the relaxation stations. Another side note, I've never seen a more disgusting bathroom ,shower, locker room at a gym. Every single day. Something has to be done but planet fitness is not making it easy to get ahold of a manager. I'm fed up and want someone to contact me. I've been a member for 10+ years and would never recommend this location or at this point company.

The girl that works at the front in the mornings at 7 am M-F named Nadine is very rude and unprofessional. She is always on her phone and never greets me or my guest. I have to wait for her to get off her phone to get her attention to use the hydro bed or massage chairs. She was yelling at another guest so loud one day that we could hear her from inside the locker and they were yelling at each other all the way back to the front desk. If she doesnt change her attitude I will cancel my membership this week.

This is my favorite location, is big, spacious with a lot of equipment but you have to go after 10pm otherwise is full especially the weight training section. Love the FIT bikes, padded seats. The only thing I don't like is that purple color but I guess you get used to it. Also, the women's bathroom could use more cleaning and the trash can is always full.
