Great place. Warm, friendly and efficient staff. Arnaud and Jordana are above and beyond in client services. Brand new so I don’t know everyone, but equipment is excellent, training is superior. Clients seem committed and happy and staff is committed to keeping them that way!

Planet Fitness has been convenient and good to me. It’s always clean and the hours allow me to work around my schedule. The staff is usually very chill and helpful when you need them. I love that I can go at any hour, like just after work or while traveling. The Black Card perks are surprisingly solid too—those massage chairs have saved me more than once. Overall, it’s a place I actually want to go, which says a lot.

The gym mirrors haven't been cleaned in a week due to the writing "I luv u" on it. Bathrooms have toilet paper on floors constantly. When these issues were kindly brought to the manager's (Delwin) attention, he went to sensitive mode and made excuses and major negative attitude responses. Not professional at all for a manager of a franchise gym. Watching his moves, it clearly appears he spends a lot of focus and smiles on the pretty female members than maintaining a clean gym. I will push the issue to corporate.

Like the gym and location close to home, but could corporate really do their review of the manager: Delwin's performance or lack of performance? I approached him recently just to critique the upkeep of the gym supplies (ie: paper towels replenishment, dirty bathrooms with tissue paper on the floors, unclean mirrors) and this gentleman was visibly, personally offended. For example the mirrors in front of the Smith machines have not been cleaned for 5 days due to fact someone wrote " I Luv U" on the mirror and it's still there smh. Please advise him professionalism it's not only provided for the pretty ladies in the gym, but the entire members !! Let's get the top notch service gym members are expected ! Thank You !!

I highly recommend Planet Fitness in Delray. The climate is fantastic to work out, especially in South Florida during summer months. The gym is neat and clean .Equipment brakes it is addressed immediately.Excellent value!

I love Planet Fitness, I’ve been a member for over 20 yrs as well have visited its gyms from CA, CT down to FL & in my experience staff is very friendly, gyms are clean, restrooms as well. Also plenty of equipment and it’s a rarity that I need to wait for a machine. I hope this helps

The west Delray Planet Fitness location is clean. Monday thru Friday has excellent hours. If you’re just starting out in your fitness journey it’s a good place. If not then I suggest you look elsewhere. This location closes at 8PM on the weekends unlike other locations which stay open till at least 9PM. Staff during morning & early afternoons M-F is excellent. Evenings, nights & weekends staff is lackluster. There are too many customers that come here who do not wipe equipment before or after they are done; & too many who do not put weights back where they belong. M-F. between 5PM till 8PM this gym is overcrowded. There is not enough equipment, free weights, & stations for everyone during peak hours. There is not enough space for stretching. This location lacks a heat/cold compression chair.

Your club manager, Delwin, basically told me to kick rocks and that I wasn’t getting a refund. No discussion, no conversation, no nothing. I’ve been at this for FIVE months and will escalate this to better business bureau, attorney general of Floridas office, and will consider small claims. I finally put a stop payment on my card but have been given the run around so many times and have been hung up on. Stay away from Planet Fitness Delray Beach - they are quick to take your money but make it very difficult to cancel your membership.

I have been a member of Planet fitness with the Delray Beach being my home location. I travel with work and use other locations throughout the country. This location is extremely lacking in cleanliness and maintenance. The restrooms and locker rooms are routinely dirty and have a stench of odor that is extremely hard to bear. The water fountains are often not working and for some reason takes an extremely long time to have repaired. The tanning beds are beyond unsanitary. And use of tanning bed is an intimate experience, often they are very visibly covered in fingerprints and on more than one occasion I have discovered the tanning beds with fluids puddled from the previous user left behind. Beyond unacceptable. The other locations I have visited throughout the country are held to a much higher standard and I have never had a complaint to their cleanliness or maintenance. Much improvement is needed at this location

I’m now on month *five* and upwards of 10 phone calls trying to find a resolution to my issue. For 14 months this planet fitness location was double charging my account to the tune of $300+ dollars. I’ve called many times, pleaded my situation to 5 different people, all of whom promise to call me back and that they’d be the one to not forget about me, but every single person can’t seem to have empathy, put themselves in my place, and handle my issue. I’m sick of the runaround.

I am formally requesting a full refund for the 14 months of double charges. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Florida Attorney General’s Office, and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. I am also prepared to pursue legal action, including small claims court, if necessary. My issue is on file, my phone number is on file. Reach out within 5 business days or I will take my next steps.

I have been a member of this facility for the last 2 years. I always come early in the morning, and the staff is very friendly. Still, recently, the new manager decided to turn the smith machines, and it is very uncomfortable for girls to perform some exercises since we have to face everybody walking by. Many of the ladies, including me, have mentioned this to the staff so the manager can at least turn 2 machines back to the older setup, but nothing has been done. This is why I decided to post this review. I will update it if our voices are heard.

Joined because I liked the idea of the set circuit to be used over 30 minutes. Sounds good when they tell you about it. But then they don’t enforce it as people just walk in and use machines or sit on a machine for 20 minutes so you can’t do the whole circuit. Talk to the front desk and they do nothing. Well they apologize but they don’t enforce it being a training circuit.

I went as a guest today with intention to join. 3 of 4 massage beds broken. Very strong toxic aroma throughout that they are aware of and claim to be fixing. I left in 5 minutes. There should be some urgency to clean up and repair when so many are paying membership fees.

Going to start off by saying - The staff isnt the friendliest or very helpful but I guess they're there..
The STENCH... THE STANK- that has been lingering the past few WEEKS is unacceptable.. I actually walked in, threw up and left and have been calling every day since to see if the problem has been resolved .. apparently something died in the vents and they don't feel the need to close to remove the possibly rotting corpse...
Don't expect much from corporate and I will update once correction are made but locals beware

Update 3 weeks later and the STENCH has still not been addressed. As expected corporate wrote a generic response referring guests to customer service to detail what is happening.. but what good will come of this?
You know the problem, and what I, we, ask for isn't unreasonable.

I don't want anything other than to walk into a building and not smell death - Fix it.

This is a well run gym - the equipment is modern and when things do break (it happens), things get fixed pretty quickly.

Been coming here for rehab for the last month and the same hand sanitizer dispensers are empty and equipment still broken. Why is the Delray location managed so poorly. Told the staff a week ago and no response. Update - I am available for consultation at the expense of the gym. 2hr minimum $150 hr. I would need a week’s notice to get a comprehensive report done and a meeting set up with the management team including GM and DM. Glad to help as Delray has been my home for over 35yrs and would love to see these gyms care more about appearance and maintenance.

My review use to be 5-Stars. If the price was higher I'd only give them three stars. Nice equipment but it's getting older and some pieces are out of service for too long. Many of the safety clips on the treadmils have been missing for over six months. The facility used to be cleaner and bathroom smell. They keep it cool, friendly staff and people and reasonable membershis. Plenty of sanitizer although they occasional don't refill the paper towels.

AC is fianlly back in working condition after a month.

We have been a black card member for over 6 years the past 5 at Delray Beach club. We never complained or had any issues until last month! We understand not expecting much, considering it is Planet Fitness, and for their monthly charges, it is extremely fair. What I don't understand since the 1st week of September is that the AC is not functioning correctly, and the temperature is averaging in the mid to upper 50 degrees. No one wants to work out in freezing conditions. The staff have been told to wear hoodies and bundle up. I have brought to the Managers attention Richard, and basically, he said his hands are tight and he had put in the work order to get the thermostat fixed since apparently they can not adjust the temperature. This has been going on since early September.
I emailed him a week ago to get an update, and there is no response.
I will add my last email screenshot with a few pictures of the thermostat temperature on different days. This is unacceptable, very unfortunate, and unpleasant, and my only reason is writing a review so we can get this resolved . If you see, other members have written a review in regards to this ongoing issue.
I hope they can resolve this ASAP, and someone from higher above in the corporate chain sees this. We have been patient enough for just about a month dealing with this.
Planet Fitness, please get your gym together before everyone starts going to a different gym.

The gym is getting dirty by the day, the floors, water fountain is disgusting.
The A/C is broken for more than a week.
The place is extremely cold, many of the customers already complain about, but until now the employees don’t when it is going to get fixed.

I enjoy going to this gym. There are a couple of issues that need to be addressed. The main one is the air conditioning. It is incredibly cold in the building. It must be controlled better. I can hang meat in the gym. A main reason to fix it is the electricity expense to maintain a cold temperature.

The other issue is the inordinate amount of time it takes to fix machines when they break.

Poor customer service. As a Black Card Spa member I utilize the Hydro Lounge massage. When I went to the counter today this gentleman behind the counter ignored me and would not look at me and when I asked if he could help me, he told me that he was busy. I asked his name he REFUSED to tell me. I believe he is a manager as he wears a black shirt. He is thin with dark hair with wire rim glasses and a tattoo behind his ear. This is not the first time he has been RUDE when going to the counter. I hope the owner will address this matter, and not ask me to speak with a manager as the person in question may be the manager.

Terrible customer service. I am having surgery so I called to freeze my account. I was told that I froze it within the time limits so I would not be charged for the upcoming month . Today I was charged. When I called to question it I was brushed off. I went to the gym and was rudely spoken to and told oh well yes we are going to charge you and there is no one I can discuss this with and no I cannot speak with a manager. I cancelled my account and do not recommend this gym to anyone !!!!

3 out of the last 4 weeks I have come on weekends between 7-8 (door on gym says opens at 6 on weekends) and doors were locked with people just sitting in their cars in the parking lot. There are two pec/fly machines - both very popular , and one of them has been out now for six (6) solid weeks waiting for handle grips -- now going into seven weeks -- and since one person can monopolize the one working machine for twenty minutes at a time looking at their damn cell phone instead of working out -- I have only been able to complete my work out twice in the last two weeks. I go to the front desk and either get a blank stare, or told that management just gets around to it whenever. Apparently, it is not a priority to keep things working. You get what you pay for. Ten bucks a month is about all it's worth.

I'm editing my review previously posted. Although this gym has alot of new equipment which is terrific, it is very unkept and frankly has gotten pretty nasty the last few months. There was a homeless woman showering in the locker room, the toilets and sinks all now have what appears to be cigarette or ?? burn marks, paper towels etc not kept full, and overall the place gets a smell. I typically come in after work and not sure if it's that shift or what but it's gotten bad and management needs to step up.

It's a southern Florida East Coast planet fitness. It's not the cleanest the customers are definitely not the cleanest. Didn't interact with the staff. A lot of flip flops and sandals. The customers are just not very clean in South Florida. Too many people on the phone sitting on the equipment.

I froze my account in March for 3 months and my money got debited in April and again twice in May when I ask the manager to refund my money, he spoke in a very rude manner and told me that I haven’t frozen my account so that I got the money debited and when I shown him the proof he told me that he is not going to help me and asked me to leave the gym when I am speaking to him. So I decided to cancel the membership and he said my last day of the gym will be one month a head and I told him that I do not need any more days to allow me as I decided not to come to the gym, So he answered me that this is my way of doing things. Now I understand why all my friends always ask me to quit me Planet Fitness, I do not know why the management is so negligent while hiring someone. I spoke to different Planet Fitness’s managers from different locations and I am happy to speak about the concerns and I ask them if they can do anything about this and all of them told me to speak with the Delray Beach manager. I request the management to keep an eye on the manger’s behavior in every location.

The stand-up tanning bed has been BROKEN (and out of use) for almost two months. I don't understand why it is taking so long to fix, especially when I upgraded my membership specifically for that. I will cancel if not fixed this week. Please fix or give a honest answer on expected wait time. TY

Beaten down worn out machines, missing plastic handles, only decent new equipment is the treadmills. Equipment is down because they have missing weight pins. I guess you get what you pay for

Why is it, every planet fitness in south Florida has broken toilet seats? Bathrooms wreaked of urine. After going to planet fitness in south Florida, I’m wondering if I should switch to anytime fitness, or LA. Only 2 things I care about, 24/7, and sanitation! And planet fitness is losing track on sanitation in south Florida!

I'm a Black Card member who travels extensively coast to coast. This location is literally the worst I have ever seen. Besides a bad floor plan layout, it's dingy and unkempt. And like another reviewer mentioned, this morning an employee was openly sleeping on a lounge chair next to the front desk. Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. Staff needs to be culled and retrained from the management down.

Edit: My review was answered by the location owner, who said to contact management with my concerns. I did so. I called days ago and left my number, and so far crickets. Still waiting for that return call that explains why staff is openly sleeping in public, etc.
