The gym equipment side of things is fine but the men’s room is consistently disgusting. Come on…. Planet Fitness. If you can’t keep your bathrooms clean, you shouldn’t be in business. This is part of the program. I cringe each time I need to enter a bathroom stall. The urinals are no better, standing on the urine sprayed floors. They should have people cleaning those rooms every hour or two. I came in on a Sunday late morning and the place was dead. See the photos of the toilet stall.You get a what you pay for here.

This is, without exaggeration, the worst gym experience I’ve ever had. Their actions during the pandemic and since have revealed everything you need to know about their priorities: money over health, honesty, or basic decency.

At the start of the pandemic, Planet Fitness announced closures and initially paused billing. But within weeks—while COVID cases were spiking and gyms were still closed—they quietly restarted charges. I was not attending, no one really was, and I repeatedly showed proof that my account was billed when the gym was inaccessible. Despite phone calls, visits, and documentation, they flatly refused to refund or even acknowledge responsibility. Their entire approach was to stall, deflect, and keep my money at a time when people were losing jobs and fighting to stay healthy.

What makes this worse is their attitude. In person, they were dismissive and evasive. And now their public Google response to my review asks me to send “screenshots” of my bills—screenshots they already saw in person, screenshots that exist in their own internal system. That’s not customer service, that’s public gamesmanship. It’s a way to make the customer look unprepared while they posture as “helpful.” It’s insulting, disingenuous, and exactly the kind of behavior I experienced every time I tried to resolve this with them directly.

Planet Fitness is not just careless with health and safety—they are deliberately difficult when it comes to billing, refunds, and cancellations. The policies are designed to trap members into fees and make exiting a nightmare. There are countless other gyms that value people, health, and integrity.

I cancelled my membership long ago and will never return. Save yourself the frustration, the wasted money, and the corporate gaslighting. This gym has shown who they are. Believe them.

The Planet Fitness Gym on Military Trail in Jupiter FL is a clean and comfortable space. The people who work there are very helpful. Now that health concerns are lessening and the world seems to be stabilizing, I'm happy to get back to exercising and happy to be heading back to Planet Fitness.

I used to love this location. Unfortunately the quality has gone done a lot. I wanted to give 2 stars, but honestly, this location is better than most others around here. So why did I want to give a lower rating? Well, for starters, the people coming here are getting more and more disgusting. People used to wipe down machines and treat machines with respect. Now, every time I'm here almost everyone I see using the machines aren't wiping them down after using them. Also, they'll take up a machine for a ridiculous amount of time, without consideration for the fact others are waiting on those machines too. I saw one woman using two hip abductors at the same time, Switching back and forth with her sweaty body. It was gross. Another reason is that the paper towel dispensers are often empty and if they aren't the bottles of disinfectant are empty. Now, one could argue that this is why no one is wiping down, but I've seen a lot of gross behavior on days when there is plenty of towels and spray to wipe down. Wiping down just isn't enforced. I don't expect employees to be machine cops, but the members make it unpleasant to want to come here. I wipe down before and after because I can't trust not to sit on someone else's ick. The areas for massage and light therapy are also a problem. Either the machine is out of order or the attendants aren't available to let you on. It's more trouble than it's worth, which makes paying for the extra features pointless. All in all, I used to love this location. Not so much now, but it's not terrible. Hopefully the quality of members improve.

Fix your back extension piece of equipment! I’ve complained about this piece of equipment for months and it still hasn’t been fixed. I would rate this location a 4.7/5. This location offered the essentials for what’d you expect for a smaller PF location. Nothing was atrocious or caused issue, staff was friendly. Now this is a purely arbitrary, personal opinion. With it being in Jupiter I just expected more. The lack of equipment like resistance bands, and foam rollers out in the stretching location, a urinal down, little things like that which I personally didn’t like.

For the money nothing better. I do the black card memberships mostly to take advantage of the water massage. It’s got dumbbells up to 75lbs. Smith machine and most of the basic machine equipment. I’d rate it a 5 star if it had a barbell rack. You are not able to do squats, bench or deadlift there. Other than that is has mostly everything including stair masters, treadmills and ellipticals.

BEWARE!!!! The makers of this facility did a terrible job when it comes to serving the public. The glass doors into the black card area are extremely dangerous and deceiving. The only thing you can barely see is a floating door handle. I ended up with stitches in my face due these doors. I love all of the planet fitness staff that I have talked to so far. Today Tyler at the military trail Jupiter planet fitness did an amazing job in customer service he was able to assist me with duplicate accounts. I was blown away when he said he had only been there for a couple weeks. Which tells me whoever trained him did an excellent job as well. He was able to locate my past account which was difficult for another employee at a different location. He was able to take a remaining balance payment and was extremely kind and patient with the situation. I was very happy with the customer assistance I received here. :)

Have been going here for a month. Only PF without out a timer in 30 minute workout room. I am ok with that but tried to use the tanning room today. Asked staff how to use it and nobody knew. Lady supposedly set it for 9 minutes and showed me the button to start. I got undressed and didn't see any time on the timer. I pushed start. Nothing. When I went back to the desk, staff said the manager knew how to set it but he wasn't here.

It's 1 o'clock in the morning today is Wednesday.
There is nobody at the front counter. I'm in the gym for 2 hours. Waka rooms are disgusting and dirty. Then I see the cleaning lady sit up in the front. For almost hour and a 1/2 memo. The men's lock of room is disgusting and I can't find paper towels but I don't know where the. The front attendant is actually sleeping. So that means I can't use the massage bed. That I paid for in the cleaning. Lady's not cleaning the men's locker room. Which is disgusting. Do we look at the cameras to see what our employees did? But my camera did so. That's why I took pictures. And I'm posting. I've been in here several times at the same time. In the locker room dog disgusting so I had to a voice it. And hopefully they'll be a change and the most important thing. I pay for the massage beds but there's nobody there to turn them on for me. Can I get my money back for that? Are you watching the cameras to know what you're employees are doing? I'm just one customer that voice there opinion. But there's 20 that are afraid to do so. M

Assistant manager Garrett was rude and unprofessional. Gym’s computer system is not synced with other planet fitness memberships or their other gyms. I was told I still have an active membership when I don’t, and when I did still have a membership, their system didn’t recognize it and I was told I couldn’t work out there even with a current black card membership bc it wasn’t in their computer system. The ceiling used to leak, not sure if they fixed that. They said their music volume was up and down because of water damage so they couldn’t control the music volume in the gym. Other problems too.

I called to discuss my account and the person who answered the phone could give me no answers and spent most of the time going “uhhhhhhh…yeah I don’t know”. There was an imaginary manager there that he said he was going and speaking to that he would put me on hold to come back give me information but it was clear he didn’t speak to anyone. It’s a complete joke. Obviously most of the positive reviews on this are fake if you dig into who is posting them. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to go to a different gym so atleast you know your gonna be dealing with people who can offer some sort of assistance. If I could give no star for this gym I would. The reason being I physically went into the gym to make an appointment with the trainer. The day before my appointment I changed it to a later time for the same day. When I came into the gym, I was told I did not have an appointment. The receptionist stated no one called the day before because she only answered the phone. Now if my appointment was cancelled and I rescheduled how did the first appointment get cancelled? The trainer Xavier was standing behind the desk, did not have any clients and ignored my presents to sign me up for the next class. I spoke to the assistant manager, Joseph who listened to me, however, when I asked if the trainer Xavier could train me now, he said he did not know where he was.
So sad this facility has lost a client for poor service and lack of accountability.

First, the good. The staff is overall very friendly and pleasant. They welcome you when you arrive and say "goodbye" as you leave. They are also thorough about keeping the equipment clean.

However, the policies leave a great deal to be desired. First, they require that one download their app in order to use their facility. This is contrary to Planet Fitness' policy, where the app is optional, not a requirement. For anyone familiar with technology, apps can be a security risk and I (formerly a security expert with in the industry), personally, don't like to have unnecessary trackers on my phone. I had gained permission from the manager BEFORE joining to not need to use the app and be able to use the gym using my phone number once my image was in the system (another policy I didn't particularly care for). However, I was later harassed by the regional manager, stating that the manager was in the wrong to give me that agreement. I don't pay companies money to have have a 20 minute fight about the 10 seconds it takes to put in my phone number to checkin. I had been planning to upgrade my membership due to upcoming travel, but I instead cancelled my membership as a result of the exchange.

Meanwhile, they have signs throughout the facility claiming to be a "judgement-free zone". However, if you do not visit for a week (lets say you go on vacation), for example, you will start to receive reminder emails, seeming to be quite judgmental of your need to workout, lol. Next, they do not have scales. I'm told this is due to concerns about body image, yet they have mirrors throughout the facility, lol. I need to track my weight for my health insurance. I certainly expected a gym to have a professional scale (as opposed to my unreliable home scale), but somehow a scale will cause one to "judge" one's appearance more than the numerous mirrors. Lastly, members will layout workout mats between equipment, stretching and doing other exercises for 1/2 hour of more, making TWO pieces of equipment inaccessible for a period of time far longer than the time one would use either piece of equipment. Despite the facility having large, open areas for such workouts, they have no policies prohibiting this and will say, "the areas are first come, first serve". A piece of equipment being "first come, first serve" is obviously the case. Someone blocking use of equipment for no logical reason is a completely different issue.

Anyway, the last paragraph contains general issues with the facility that may impact others. I spoke to a number of members who found it frustrating as well. For me, the reason I cancelled was simply needing to fight for something as simple as not wanting to download the app then, even after having an agreement, still being hassled. I don't like being hassled by someone I'm paying. I'm partly putting this review out, because the gym did not put the proper "reason for cancellation" on my cancellation and I'm hoping corporate might actually read their reviews. They have no other mechanism for reaching them (another objection I have for Planet Fitness).

I usually go to the Jupiter gym off of Frederick small it's a clean gym and the AC is always working but a lot of times the equipment is down seems to stay down for long period of time and currently drink cooler is down they do have a notice and the hydro massage room that if you turn on or off a light switch which is taped over you will be terminated I don't think that's much of a judgment free zone there also would like if they played more Sports on the TVs especially on the weekends when football is on or any other sport seem to have the news channels on which isn't too motivating

Joined planet fitness on Military Trail in Jupiter a few months ago. The gym is nice, super clean and not crowded. After almost 3 months going, someone in the staff said to that I was not allowed to have my bag with me. (I had the bag with me since the first day I joined every time). And it's not a large bag. It's a duffle bag that I keep my towel, workout belt, water, BCAA, protein, phone, etc... In 30 years working out, I never had a gym tell me I can't have a bag with me. I don't want to carry everything in my pocket or have to walk back and forth to the locker to drink any of my drinks, so I canceled the membership. Really disappointing.

The staff are all super polite and I've never seen them act any other way but professional and friendly. They all make a point to say hi and "have a good one" every time a person comes in or out. They do rounds like clockwork keeping the place clean and do a good job keeping supplies stocked, even when busy. I've been to other more expensive gyms around here and they aren't nearly as nice. I've brought guests from those gyms who have made the switch to planet fitness. I think that rubs off on the people working out because they're all really friendly and polite, too. It's a nice place to be.

Edit: Just read some of the other reviews....idk what people are talking about with the wifi, it's fine. Just have to click "accept" when you enter each time. It's not a high school hangout, there is a broad mix of ages from high school to senior citizens. Sometimes it has more of a "community center" vibe than a hard-core gym, which I like. And I've never seen a single dirty thing at this location.

Still a great place albeit they are getting really picky about silly rules. I don’t like picky but it’s still a great place with nice people. Don’t be so picky! Gym is my picky-free place! 🙂

I have gone to 3 planet fitness based on location needed. I have been impressed with how everything is kept clean and there are plenty of equipment to choose from.
I am very happy with my membership

This Gym is a High school hangout , hard to get in because don't use tags anymore and no wifi on phone to enter and can't get it to load properly.
