Been coming for 2 weeks. Showers have only been warm once. I complain daily.

Just starting going here last week and so far it's been amazing. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. I signed up for a personal trainer and got assigned Chuck and he's great highly recommend him. He's very knowledgeable about all the machines and what you need to do to meet your goals. Also the gym is very clean and a peaceful environment.

I absolutely love it here… I have always been so busy working all the time but now I work from home and I was missing seeing people.
Honestly I have never join a gym because I didn’t want people watching. My first day my kids went with me and we said a little prayer that we would love it. And we did !!! We go 3 to 4 times a week now. The staff is wonderful and the place is so clean and it is very “non judgmental”

Workout areas cool, went on Mother's Day so not a lot of people, however need to do away with the old school coin massage chairs, also water was ice cold, definitely not a good visit.... Just went again today, July 26th 2025, showers are cold, confirm it with other members who were getting in and out, smells like mildew, not being cleaned on a regular basis

Buyer beware....they bait and switch. Told $1 to join for basic membership. Told military discount, then was not honored. Charged over $60 instead of $1. Month later charged over $50 for annual fees. Gym/Bathrooms are always dirty, shower was cold and equipment is old. The treadmills belts are funky like walking on a wave. Desk staff never has answers and doesn't know basic equipment. Less favorite gym of the chain so far and when I find a suitable replacement, won't renew.

7 treadmills in back row not working. Been this way for over a week. Informed a girl with pink hair at desk. She went to check them. Asked if she knew when be fixed and she snapped well if it's wired wrong I don't know I just got here and manager won't be in till later this morning. Wasn't the answer but the attitude that was a real put back. Asked to calm down the attitude and if she would have the manager contact me. She got real snappy. The faces of the other staff told me I'm not only one. This place keeps spiraling. Since using this gym there has been roof leaks [several not one dripping leak], women's lockrrom not cleaned and same hair in shower for days, people sleeping in black card area, door always open to black card area, rude uniformed staff [not all some are very good]..

TRUCKERS make sure you don’t park in the movie theater parking lot. The lady will tow your truck. She is very rude and don’t understand truckers normally stop at planet fitness to exercise and shower.

I enjoy the Black Card membership! Using the massage chair is the reward after a workout. I'm not crazy about the lack of usefulness in the app. I don't like having apps on my phone that serve very little purpose and this app is one of those. If I could track my workouts/machines I use and weights/reps each visit, it would be more useful. UPDATE: We got all new treadmills and they're fabulous plus we also got some new machines. Now I'm just waiting for the red light therapy Beauty Angel to be installed and this facility will be perfect!

The staff here are all really friendly. But the facility not being 24/7 anymore is extremely inconsiderate to the members that work late afternoon shifts. I'm forced to cram all my work outs for a week in a short 4 day period with no room for a rest day if I'm not feeling my best. The worst part about it is the prices are more expensive now than when I signed up for the gym back in 2019 when it was actually a 24/7 facility. Considering outright canceling my membership if this is going to be the norm going forward.

It’s a nice spot for exercise and fitness maintenance. They have plenty of machines but there are no squat or deadlift platforms so you’ll have to get creative and/or modify for that. It’s always clean and the staff is friendly.

You need a bank account to join. They won't accept credit cards only or cash? Huge red flag. People I've talked to said there's no hot water and they'll keep charging you after you cancel your membership.

I recently visited the mens bathroom/locker room and sadly, it was deplorable! Floor was littered with paper, no tissue on the stall! So, exercise area is nice and clean but behind closed doors, not so clean! Management can fix this in a few minutes; accountability!!

I recently joined Planet Fitness. I've been going for a week now and so far I've had a nice experience. The staff has been great. Not sure if any of the other members have noticed how certain people come in and hang out or sit on the machines and will be on their phone, kinda rude for the one's going in to actually use the equipment. Guess you have to deal with it or find another gym 🤷‍♀️
UPDATE - Now that I've been here a while and gotten used to being able to come any time after work to work out, tan and shower; they've changed their hours and I don't really get to use the gym now. Guess I have to reschedule my entire day now.

So I understand we are having heavy rains, but other businesses, including the mall in Lake City FL, are open. Would think the gym would understand with a storm being here and some people having off; being in the gym would be a great way to spend the day. Also, no information is on here about even a guess at a time it will be opening. This is Florida. It rains. I was very disappointed to call and get told it's closed then directed to the website only to find no information on it re-opening or even being marked as not open. 😤 This is after multiple issues with Planet Fitness from St. Pete. I feel the gym should be open if the waffle house is open. The facility itself is great, and the workers are great. Come on, management, yall should be open or telling us when you will be. It's not even raining hard anymore.

Got to stop by Planet Fitness yesterday after they did a re-equip, the new layout looks phenomenal, and I was thrilled to see they finally have a lateral raise machine. My only real criticism is that they moved the assisted pull-up machine to be in between the Smith machines, I liked it better when it was at the back of the gym and out of the way of the crowded areas.

Gym looked nice but I use PF to take showers as I deliver all over the country... Yeah, totally understand it's Florida and it's hot down here BUT some of us like to shower with HOT water or at least warm? Not ice cold. Then they told me to try the family shower/room... Lol ugh? If the whole female restroom doesn't give warm water, what makes you think the other will?

The next closest PF is Jacksonville (bad reviews) or Gainesville. 1 hour away each.

Went back to Love's and paid $18 instead. Smh

One thing about getting to Planet Fitness at 6:00 am is that most everyone is still sleeping. I had no problem stowing my stuff in the locker room and then running my way through the Thirty Minute Circuit. No one else here so no worries about waiting.

When that was done, into the showers. No waiting here either and plenty of hot water. A quick change into fresh clothes and I'm now ready to drive all day after hunting for coffee!

Gym is fine itself, the staff overnight is another story...always outside talking to people in cars, never at the desk if you need anything so people that live in their car without a membership can just walk in to shower....the hour changes are going to cut business down since some can only get to the gym in the middle of the night and on weekends with not being 24/7 all week any long any more why pay for membership, trucks park at theater next door at night.....not sure about day time if it's ok
