We are visiting lakeland and are going to this location while in town. It's very clean, not over crowed, staff is friendly and helpful, machines are newer and work well. My only "complaint" is that the light in the 30 minute express room wasn't working. They do have a tv with a clock in the express room, so we were able to time our steps and machines with that, but obviously red light green light is much easier. They also have several machines that our local PF doesn't have. We've had a great experience this week and I reccomend this location. Thanks for making our Lakeland workouts enjoyable!

Why are the TV's in the gym only playing Fox Political propaganda lately? Most of the channels have been deleted including CNN and most of the TV's are set on Fox News. What is happening?

The people that go to workout are friendly from my experienc. Staff I have dealt with is friendly and answers any questions I have. It would be nice to have other lifting machines but I understand it is more of a beginner gym. The issue I have is that out of 12 TV’s in the gym 8 of them are all on the news channel and the others are misc channels. None are showing sports. When I asked if a TV could be put on sports it was mentioned that the remotes are locked up by management and they dont allow sports channel. It would be really nice to be able to have one or two TV’s dedicated to sports channels or the staff being able to put it on by request of members.

terrible. a dude left his things on a bench infront of the smith machine for over 5 minutes i was standing there waiting for someone to grab their things, i move the things since nobody came and some dude came back when i put the weights on the bar and started cussing me out and the planet fitness crew didn’t stop it and told me i was in he wrong, TERRIBLE GYM AND TERRIBLE PEOPLE IN IT.

The staff needs to talk to people about not sitting on their phones on the machines. An employee had the audacity to tell me I wasn’t using the 30 minute workout room right because I didn’t move immediately when the light turned red, even though there was literally only one other person in the room who was not waiting on my machine, and was several machines behind me, and also not even doing the circuit properly. I’m disabled, sorry that I can’t move the second the light turns green which is why I only use the room when it’s empty so I don’t inconvenience others. But on the main floor people sit on machines hogging them while they scroll on Facebook or TikTok so you can’t use those machines either. Get your priorities in order, Planet Fitness.

I started coming here in the beginning of July, with absolutely no experience in how to work out. I scheduled an orientation and a few build your own classes with Nolan, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with him. He showed me how to use the equipment, help me set up a routine, gave me exercises to do that work around my back and shoulder issues, and he explained what muscle groups I’m working and why. I cannot say enough good things about him! The rest of the staff is very friendly and welcoming! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

I love this gym i started my weight loss journey on january, but i start going to this awesome gym on february and i cant complaint about nothing. Planet fitness is great for the busy mom and perfect to work out with friends. I love the massage area and variety of fitness classes. The classes gave me more confidence and provided a great workout routine. Place is poorly equipped, way too many bikes, ellipticals and not nearly enough weight machines. The machines are poorly placed and in many cases only one exists for a particular body part. Staff stands around doing nothing but when they do finally decide to do something they’ll fire up a 200 decibel vacuum right next to you while you’re trying to work out. Parts the gym are air conditioned and cold as ice and other parts are burning up with no air movement. This is an old tired gym that should be closed down.

We have had a membership at this gym for about 3 years but we never have really went. We've just been putting our health on the back burner, but we decided that we were going to start going to better our lives and our health. When we went the other day everyone was very helpful. If we had any questions they were right there to assist us. They took the time to have personal conversations with us and encourage us to stay persistent with our plans to get healthy and better. Tanning bed #1 DO NOT GO IN IT. malfunctions. gets too hot it literally got hot (like a frying pan) hot to the touch within 5 minutes. I have been tanning for 7 years and have never had a bed do that to me. That bed is going to seriously hurt someone if it is not fixed

I've been to Planet Fitness' all over the country and this one SUCKS. Zero customer service. They put me in an uncleaned tanning bed, I went back up and asked them to reset it... Still said the same thing. I came back up to the front and then they put me in a lay down bed. The bed looked like it was from the 80's, there was a crack in the glass.. after I wiped it down I was so grossed out I decided I would completely skip a tan. Their filtered water fountain was also not working. Totally not impressed. But I guess what do you expect from a business in one of the most run down plazas in Lakeland.
Definitely not operating to brand standards.

Or someone's griping on the phone in cursing about someone else. Stay at home if you're going to do that.

- One of the stalls in the men's shower room needs a curtain.
- Nuts to adjust pulleys in the (Yellow) Stretch area are missing. I informed one of the staff members about it. No response. I asked another staff member and gave him the sample of the nut. Never came back w/ a response. Now both nuts are missing.
- Some members are allowed to workout in flip-flops w/ exposed toes. Others wear sandals. This is a Safety Hazard. Good Luck to all parties involved when a member gets injured. Maybe a Warning poster might help boneheads who slippers or flip-flops or Crocs.
- Hydro massage bed has been out of service for a while now.

This PF is still better than the other one in North Lakeland. -:)

Gym itself is good, the staff is cold and rude ! Been a member for about 4 months and today when I came in wasn’t greeted (normal) but was flagged down so they could take my pic. To make sure nobody is using my membership(basically accusing me of sharing it). My husband came in a second earlier and they didn’t ask for his picture. They should have taken our pictures when we joined or shortly after. They don’t have membership cards, like I would share my phone to hook somebody up, SMH.

I had an appointment at the VA early in the morning and a hair cut at noon so I thought I'd stop at the gym in between. I use the gym on the north end of Lakeland 100% of the time since it's 1/2 mile from me but this time, I tried the south end since I was there. The people by me told me I could have paid $5 to use it one time but the south end never told me that.
