Love it here! I’ve been coming here for about 2 years now, and have no complaints. Staff is very nice and attentive and everything is always so clean. I’ve been coming here pretty inconsistently but every time I come back in I’m welcome with no judgement and to new equipment! I feel comfortable to work out in peace and talk to staff if I need to.

I previously wrote a review, but wanted to update it. I recently changed my schedule from evening workouts to early morning sessions (4–6 AM). The gym continues to be fully staffed and always clean.

The reason for this post is to recognize Julian. Since switching to morning workouts, I’ve noticed that he is always working hard. From the moment I walk in to the moment I leave—often an hour and a half to two hours later—Julian is nonstop. He’s walking the floor, attending the front desk, picking up equipment, vacuuming, checking trash bins, and making sure everything is spotless.

I thanked him in person last week, but I want to make sure his manager sees this review. I’ve never seen an employee as committed to their job as Julian. His work ethic truly stands out, and I hope it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Not sure what happened in the last couple of months, but there are never any paper towels and the cleaning solution is almost always empty. No one is cleaning their equipment after use and it’s putting everyone at risk for skin infections. It’s really gross coming here, I’m probably going to find another gym.

Update : showers are still disgusting filled with mold (which is an health hazard) and trash every time that I come. It’s kind of weird that all of the times that I’ve come here. I’ve never actually seen anyone cleaning the facility in the women’s locker room area. NEVER !! I combed. my hair in the dressing room a few days ago and when I came in today, my hair was still there. Just leave some supplies and a fresh mop and broom in the back and let me clean it myself.

I like this location. I usually only use it when I’m in the area for work , The staff are always pretty friendly and nice, but seem to be very lazy and preoccupied chatting amongst each other. Every single time that I’ve come here to take a shower either before or after work the showers have been disgustingly nasty. The bathroom stalls as well. They always have hair and things from other people left behind. Today I got here at about 5 AM and walked into tow separate showers with used Kotex and sanitary napkins.. Ewww !!

This is gross and a health/ Bio Hazard. Definitely health department worthy. If the staff can’t clean the showers.Then there should definitely be someone to come in and do just the showers and the restrooms. Especially with this class of people. As a cleaning business owner , It’s seriously takes little to no effort to remove the hair out of the showers, and scrub them down with the long handle scrub broom after each person. I’ve come many times over a six month period and have only seen them being cleaned once. Which is ridiculous !! There needs to be some sort of schedule and proof system implemented To ensure that they are actually cleaning the restrooms and showers.

They changed the entire layout of the gym, took away the 30 min circuit completely and now I can't find the equipment that I did enjoy using. The new layout is awkward and the upstairs has the runners staring👀👀 at you now when using the resistance machines!! Whyyyy!! Just canceled my membership bc I cannot with this new setup.

*Edit* to the owners response. When asking customer service why they took away the 30min circuit and changed the layout, the guy at the front desk didn't know and did not tell me it was moved or even show me where it was!!??

Not a single glute focused machine. It’s The squat Smith machines don’t even go low enough to do hip thrusts. There is absolutely no machines available to hit glutes. If you’re actually trying to lift heavy, the freeweights aren’t heavy enough, which is pretty standard at all planet fitnesses, but this one in particular had absolutely no glute machines. it was very disappointing and I left early.

I’ve been going to many different planet fitness’, from Miami to Tampa to Tallahassee. And I genuinely never had such trouble finding lower weights (from 5-25) I come around 10 pm when everyone usually leaves and multiple times now I have gone around the WHOLE gym from top to bottom looking for the weights and out of three racks (including the individual racks that hold 5-20 pound weights) i found one set of 10 dumbells and a singular 20 pound dumbell back to back days. I genuinely think that this PF is missing weights, please restock them if they are missing, i literally scavenged the whole gym looking for them multiple times. For now I will go to a different PF or just switch to a closer gym

I broke my back in 5 places, my foot got infected , lost my job and everything trying to get healed , I used my membership perks as a place to shower and keep my foot clean and elevated, on many days I had no where to turn to. I was always treated nicely and respected when it was obvious I needed help, I was so embarrassed and ashamed , but staff never disrespected me or made feel unwelcomed , like other places would. I politely and quitely showered , washed my wounded foot, elevate my foot to dry out ,cleaned up behind myself, used the hydro massage chairs that worked miracles on my broken L1,2,3,4,5 vertebrae injured on Aug.3,2024and as of today jfk hospital finally after many trips in the er. and many other agencies got me the medical attention I desperately needed. I’m now walking almost pain free my foot is healed and I can’t wait to come give my gratitude to the employees who were probably not even aware of how desperate and painful life was for me in this season. In a way this place helped save my life. Forever greatful for the Judgement free zone/ God bless you all, all this is true and meantwith so much sincerity Thank you, 6 weeks of totrture , Resilience in the making

Frustrating Experience: Impossible to Cancel Membership!

I have been a loyal Planet Fitness member, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. When I signed up for my membership online, it was quick and easy—I didn’t have to speak to anyone or visit a location. However, when I needed to cancel after relocating, I was told I had to visit my original home gym location—something that’s now impossible for me.

I’ve tried multiple times to cancel via the app, phone, and in person, only to be met with roadblocks. Meanwhile, I’ve been charged for several months despite not being able to use the gym.

It’s unacceptable that cancelling a membership is significantly harder than signing up. I urge Planet Fitness to immediately cancel my membership and refund the charges since December. If this isn’t resolved promptly, I’ll have no choice but to escalate this issue further.

Nice very clean gym. No high pressure sales. Equipment is well maintained people working out there are polite. Plenty of equipment. Membership is cheap. If you upgrade from the basic, you can take a friend with you for no charge. There is no sales contract so you can discontinue your membership at any time. What else could one possibly need. I saw the same issue this morning with the T-bar handles that the last reviewer left on here. The eyelets are clearly damaged and it honestly looks like it could snap at any moment. I use these for pull downs frequently. I’m honestly shocked they’re still in use, especially after the previous review already pointed it out and even included pictures showing how bad it was. What’s even more surprising is the response from the owner saying the reviewer should’ve brought it to management’s attention — didn’t they already say they reached out? It’s pretty odd to put the responsibility on a paying customer to follow up again when the real issue is clearly internal. Maybe the owner should be talking to their own staff instead of redirecting everything back onto the person who’s just trying to help prevent someone from getting hurt. Seems like a real safety concern is being brushed off instead of handled."

Wonderful place. The only real issue is the lack of wiping down the equipment one just used. Only about 50% of folks do so. An aggressive PR, program to “remind” the proper gym procedure of wiping down equipment used, seems like a good idea.

If you like to get ripped off and be charged 2 to 3 times more than the $25 that they promised, go ahead and sign up! The experience is horrible, bad customer service, can’t resolve anything on the phone with ABC fitness. They want you to come into the gym to resolve issues. The front desk lady was not helpful, I asked for the manager twice and she claimed she was the manager. Could not help and out of all the frustration I ended up canceling with this very unethical company. The gym it self not the cleanest either, the employees are lazy and don’t do much cleaning they rely on you to wipe things down but every treadmill and stair master I used around it was filthy. Not worth the triple amount of money that they charged me and SCAM!

The people leaving reviews about how clean the gym is obviously don't use the showers. They never get cleaned, just trash pick up. They were closed for a hurricane that hit the other side of Florida. Now they are going to close at 10:00 at night. They were closed so the owners could have a very profitable October as they cut their labor costs to $0.00 for the better part of 3 days. Do you think the members will get a discount for the 3 days? I'm going to guess not. The PF in Delray was open with no issues during the "inclement weather" so was LA Fitness right down the road at Gateway and Congress.
This could be a nice gym. They have two floors and plenty of equipment. It's just not cleaned like it used to be and poor decisions are made as to the daily operation.

It’s really nice to have a gym that is opened at 3 o’clock in the morning. I will say I’m there most mornings between three and 330 and Vickie the front desk lady is always there cleaning and scrubbing and getting ready for the day. She never misses a beat. She truly even has a smile on her face to greet me Knowing T very well at 3 AM in the morning! The gym stays pretty clean, people are really good about wiping down their equipment and Vickie goes around almost every morning and Equipment either way as part of her routine. If you’re looking for a safe place to work out in the morning with positive people great location.

Lantana Planet Fitness has been a wonderful experience so far! It is always clean, bathrooms and lockers are always available, showers are tidy! I have to say that I have not yet had to wait for any equipment, when I have come in either in the morning or The evening hours. My only recommendation would be to let members know that if they’re going to use a 30 minute circuit workout, so please be kind and bear mine other waiting to use equipment and not sitting on their phones the whole time. Outside of that all staff members are just excellent. I have never had a time where I was unable to ask a question, as a nurse, I know how important it is to take care of your body, and Sometimes there is some intimidation to use certain equipment, however, staff has been wonderful and giving you an explanation or showing you how to use certain machines. I love the fact that I can use the Hydro massage, as well as the red light therapy, and or tanning services as me. However, in South Florida tanning services for myself and probably for others are not ones that need to be used. I love being a black card member, and having the opportunity to be able to use other facilities without being charged, and being able to bring a guest to work out with me as well. The only other thing I would recommend again would be to make sure that when using the red light full body experience to step out if need be and let your staff know that the lights or the vibrating floor is not working. My first time using it, I was unsure if I was doing something incorrectly, and rather than stepping out to ask, I kind of just waited it out to see if it would turn on. Next time I know better! However, again, Lantana planet fitness on Congress has been exceptional, I have no complaints and I would highly recommend.

This place is extremely full, I tried to workout today and there was 0 dumbbells available nothing at all it’s like waiting forever just to even get a bench as well. Not to mention, most machines are take this place is to small for the amount people, also people leave dumbbells scattered around and don’t put it back which is very upsetting my advice is to get more dumbbells and benches as well as space for people to actually work out instead of just standing around waiting for a smith machine or a piece of equipment.

Personally I don't feel a very good vibe in here.I've been here twice the first time six of the things are out of paper towels in staff was alone. There was no one at the desk for 30 minutes. 50% of the patrons do not wipe off their equipment. A few of the customers don't return the equipment where they got it from. Staff is too busy on their phones behind the desk. It's very crowded. Equipment layout is odd. I probably won't return to this one there's another one down the road I'll give it a try for the rest of my time here.

Beautiful facility. I love the 2 story! The bathroom showers have real doors which I truly appreciate. The smell of marijuana was strong in the bathroom while I was there but thats people behavior these days. Although, I hate the smell. The equipment was clean and in good working order. I went to this location once. Once was enough. The lock on my locker was cut while I was working out and my backpack and wallet were stolen. The staff was unconcerned and unhelpful. They denied the police access to surveillance footage. Makes me suspect an inside job.
Other than that, the equipment was scattered and the leg equipment was on a 2nd floor loft. Good luck climbing up and down the stairs after a leg workout. Too crowded for 2:00 in the afternoon.

Again and again, while using the treadmill, a guy trying to clean the bottom of the machine almost tripped me. The people working behind the desk are unprofessional and unfriendly. The gym itself is clean and functional. The only real downside is the god awful staff. Feels like they despise that you're there bothering them.
