I have SO many positives to share about this facility however, I am disturbed & concerned about a situation of recent. There is and extremely pungent, overpowering, rotten egg-like odor when you enter the facility. Perhaps dead vermin 🐁 or EVEN MORE DISCONCERTING, gas/propane?! Pro-Tec was there, obviously assessing the situation yet I firmly do not think this odor is anything drain/plumbing related. PLEASE GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS! Season is upon us and this is not the first impression to make on the returning gym-seekers!

That being said, this fitness facility (my personal choice) is large, spacious, CLEAN, well thought-out, & equipped logically. A****w leads a great team here! Staff is often seen cleaning, and they are always available to address any questions/concerns. Trainer J*y greets with a smile and infectious power of positivity. The music is usually a great mix especially when Sh****n is the "DJ" 🎵 We all miss Z**h, who moved away, yet the newest staff is very promising so far!! ❤

Every day I go to this gym with my friends starting at 6:00 a.m., and several times they haven't opened on time. I've been training for three months and joined through my husband's membership. Now there's a new receptionist—I think her name is Shannon (she's tall and blonde). She hasn't let me in, and she hasn't been very friendly with the clients.

As a former PF member, I finally decided to circle back to this friendly, affordable, no judgement gym I remembered. WOW! Things have gotten even better in my absence and I joined on the spot after a great intro & tour by Tathiana who was very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. This is the worst gym in Naples. The workers don't show up on time half the time. This morning another group of 12 stood outside waiting for the gym to open at 6am. I called the guy that was supposed to be there to open at 6 am and he just said oh I did not open today till 7am. How this place is in business is unreal. I have been going to the same gym for years but the past few years the help they hire is just unreal. Get some help that do their jobs and show up on time. I wish I could give this place 0 stars!!!!

Now they have an open new location, which is very nice however they cannot get any decent help, yesterday the girl showed up late and forgot the key to open the front door today we had at least six people standing in front of the gym in the rain, nobody showed up. I waited until 20 minutes after six several cars in the parking lot waiting this gym is gonna end up going under closing the doors all because whoever is running this franchise is either too cheap or too stupid to hire the right kind of help to make sure that those doors are open at 6 AM for the working folk.

I was thrilled when this Planet Fitness opened. Everything was brand new and shiny! I've brought in friends to see what a showroom looks like and many have joined.
Each time I walk in it feels like the first day.
The maintenance at this location is second to none. Everything still looks brand new and spotless! Thank you for your hard work.

I am new to Planet Fitness and it is a wonderful location- clean, spacious and the staff are friendly. The only issue I have is with the lack of gym etiquette among the members. I am finding that many of them attempt to “reserve” a machine by leaving personal items on or nearby, take excessive rest periods while they are on their phones, no common sense when it comes to re-racking weights (15's and 20's side by side), leaving weights on the floor or on machines creating safety hazards and making it difficult for others to find and use the equipment. To add insult to injury, the same members who "reserve" a machine, fail to wipe down equipment, even though there are numerous cleaning stations on the floor.

The gym manager reports it's gym members to the police who are waiting for the gym to open as trespassers to the Police. I usually like to relax in the parking lot a couple hours before they open, but unfortunately I could not do that with this particular Planet Fitness. Not a good area for Van Lifers.

BRING THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE MANAGMENT IS A JOKE, THEY ARE CLUE-LESS, WE SHOULD DEMAND A PARTIAL REFUND .....I am so frustrated with the management, I joined and paid for the amenities including one of the deciding factors of joining this location was the cryo bed for my spine, in the last 3 weeks it has been broken more than half that time. Every day I go in the staff act surprised it doesn't work?!? Who manages these facilitators, the managers seem baffled and just shrug their shoulders, Really?!?!
Get on the phone and stay on it till you find a resolution, find a maintenance company that will actually show up in an acceptable time frame and I also believe all of us who paid for this service should be compensated for this . I have had to pay for another facility for cryo therapy. I am so disappointed.

It is the cleanest and nicest Planet fitness I have ever been to.
Except the front end staff are not trained enough about the operation of all the black card beds, chairs and booths. I feel bad for them as they are all very kind just not trained, not there fault. I managed a gym for 5 years and for the first few weeks I did nothing but learn how to perform preventative maintenance, how every machine worked and how to train others to do the same which saved and prevented countless hours and days of downtime.
There is no training like that anymore, very sad.

But if you’re going there to see the personal trainer, don’t bother dude had a 11:30 AM stretch class for people and I sat there for almost 20 minutes waiting for him, but he stayed with another client that he had, not honoring the schedule. I took my time and drove all the way to that gym, I passed two other gyms just to get to that one. If you knew you had to be with a client, you should have canceled the class. I walked up to him trying to join the others he was working with because they were stretching and he just looked at me, and walked away. Then I went by him again, he looked at me again didn’t bother to At least tell me he would be with me in a minute , like clearly you have multiple classes with different people coming. There’s a schedule there that he’s supposed to follow. Waste of time unprofessional and not a very good trainer if you ask me.

True this Planet Fitness has moved and is new . Nice gym, but somewhat under whelm by the fact that they have 9 television with just (4) channels. In addition, no closed captions, on the televisions. No CNBC business channel and no news channel. Also, I mentioned there is no flat bar for rolling moves to increase forearms. Very low degree of confidence that these items will get fixed. Use PF near Lely. Very responsive management!

I have been a member of planet fitness since the early 2000s. The planet fitness off of Bayshore used to be open at 5 AM. Then they went to 24/7. Then hurricane Ian came and flooded it. I was then forced to go to Golden Gate. Now they’ve reopened a NEW gym on the East trail that opens at 6 AM. I work out at 5 AM. I was told I can ONLY work out at my home gym (yes I have a white card)… However, I do go to Golden Gate at 5 AM two days a week and they don’t seem to care. If you’re not going to be open 24/7 like most other planet fitness locations can’t you at least open at 5 AM?? I don’t feel like I should have to drive to Golden Gate When my “home gym” is around the corner, but isn’t open at a reasonable time in the morning.

They moved locations and are now in a brand new plant fitness building, at the time of this review. They first opened their doors on March 28, 2025. Please disregard any past reviews as they are now irrelevant because they were based on the old location which does not exist anymore. This gym is a complete upgrade, very spacious, mix of new and old equipment. The lighting is good, but there are other gyms with better lighting like the one in lely. Overall, would recommend.

The water fountains are broken - the water dribbles put so slowly that they are 100% unusable. And there is no water bottle fill, so you have to buy water if you run out or forget to bring your own.

The showers don’t get cleaned frequently. I went here over the course of three days while traveling and the same red bandaid remained on the shower floor the whole time.

I washed my hands at the wash station and I accidentally left my phone in the bathroom top of the towel. so while I was walking to my car, I looked in my pocket. By way of example: 1. the lockers do not work because management lost the master key; 2. Pins are missing from many machines & many others are perpetually broken (including some of the most popular); and 3. Despite repeated complaints by many, many members, management keeps the music volume maxed out so users cannot hear their preferred headphone tunes/podcasts. I'm a big fan. Plenty of devices to exercise on and curse at, if you are so inclined. It can be crowded but you seldom have to wait for a machine, as they are many and varied. People are generally nice and friendly, including staff and customers. And as they say, no gymtimidation. Even if you are old and slow like me, you will be tolerated here.

And just for the record, I have been coming to Planet Fitness for 17 years, off and on, and the only muscle that has gotten any bigger is the one around my waist. So don't expect miracles!

Came to this location, also close to my home in hopes it would have a nicer clientele but nope. This one is also in a dumpy area with sketchy people wandering around. The people here have no respect for each other or any of these properties, especially the gym. The place is small, garbage all over the bathrooms, there was a woman strung out on something acting crazy in the tiny locker room, no one cleaned up after themselves, paper towels on the main floor and NO ONE here wipes the machines either when they're done. I must've been spoiled where I used to live, the lower cost did not attract riffraff. Save your "corporate robotic generic talk to the club manager PF response." Just wanted to give others a heads up. It's possible to find a nice club but not in Naples, FL.

Misleading contract and overpriced. You are forced to choose between a 58 dollar cancelation fee before 12 months or a 49 dollar annual fee. They conveniently forget to inform you in-person about the annual fees when you first sign up, but are unfortunately written in fine print. Don't let the 10 dollar a month fool you, because you are of course forced to pay one of the two fees.

Equipment is extremely limiting for standard resistance training. 3 smith machines, 2 (working) cable machines, and around 4 benches for free-weights. For the majority of your time here, you simply will not get the equipment you need without waiting unless you want to do cardio.

Bathrooms were often disgusting, and they claim to clean the machines every hour, but they don't.

Give your money to an actual gym, don't go here or to any planet fitness franchise.

The Staff are Great! They were my lookout because No doors on tanning booths!!!! Did not feel safe at all in the tanning bed!!! All around Great gym!!! Needs doors on them ASAP! Now there's doors on the tanning bed & booth BUT NEITHER ONE WORKS!!!!!! WHY PAY $20 FOR THE BLACK CARD WHEN EXTRA AMENITIES DONT REGULARLY WORK???? CREDIT???.

It closes earlier than any other gym. And even earlier on the weekends. It used to be 24 hours yet they cut the hours of operations in half and kept the same monthly charges. Also, they employees will tell everyone to leave ten minutes before closing or we "will be locked inside." If the gym says it closes at ten, it closes at ten. Not 9:50. If you want everyone out at that time, change the hours of operation, again.

It also lacks many of the amenities that other locations have.

Overall, the place is clean, friendly and the equipment is in good shape. It is never too busy where you are waiting on equipment availability. They just go new equipment which I thought was the latest, but it is not the most up to date equipment which has a timer and count your reps. That would be nice to have!
