I go to this Planet Fitness they have the best trainer. Mark makes a plan around what you need and changes it every week. I have never met a trainer like him. Once you train with him you won't want anyone ever and best of all this is all free at Planet fittness.

On Wednesday October 1st, I headed over to Planet Fitness in Port Richey. L was standing at the front desk looking down at her phone as I walked in. They continued looking at their phone and never bothered to look up and greet me. I suppose there was something really interesting that captured their attention. I was amazed at the complete lack of awareness on their part. M, the personal trainer was standing in the back leaning against the back counter. I immediately spoke up and commented, "Wow, they never even bothered to look up, at which point this person looks up from their phone as if to finally notice me. M, later agreed this person never looked up from their phone. He mentioned it was a matter of respect to acknowledge someone as they enter the gym. Another employee walked over to this area and I repeated what I said to M. To my utter amazement, L walked over to this other employee and said, with me standing right there (I have very good hearing) that " they did greet me when I approached the desk". That was an outright lie but to say it with me standing about 8 feet from them, takes the cake. I don't appreciate liars, especially when the lie is said in front of me. I'm not one to be bullied by liars so I spoke up and said, directing my comment to this person " I heard what you said, NO you did not greet me, didn't even look up from your screen. A few other things were said by another employee like "Oh, she has been here 9 years and was even told by this employee she is always on her phone but never gets in trouble, but other employees get written up for being on their phones. I don't care about phone use, just look up from your screen and do your job, which is to greet people as they walk into the gym. Fast forward to today after using the massage chair, J approached me and wanted to talk, so we went to a table to talk. J explained to me that what I did was wrong, that I made L cry, that she did greet me (look at the camera) that she said "HI' or something but never looked up from her phone. She also stated the PT said she did greet me but when I asked him the day of the incident, they agreed, there was no greeting, but I guess they changed their tune being the newest employee and not wanting to piss off any of the employees there. I tried to explain what happened, and I may have been a little overbearing, but sorry, I don't enable liars, especially when they are lying right in front of my face, and can't even wait until I leave the area where I won't hear the lie. J said maybe Planet Fitness wasn't for me and revoked my upgraded membership. And, to my utter amazement this statement came from her lips. "These people are earning minimum wage, you can't expect them to not be on their phones, this is the world we live in. This is the excuse for poor customer service. So J writes up certain people for being on their phone but others get a pass. I'd say there is a double standard going on here. I did mention I wouldn't say anything more to this person, but J said she was moving in a different direction so she cancelled my membership. She did offer a refund for the last month I paid for the black membership. Also, the PT currently working there uses dangerous, unorthodox training methods. Shortly after the PT came to work there, I visited the gym and I was asked if I wanted to do some work with them. I explained to this person that I had injured my back so I needed to take it easy. We went to back area where there was a stand alone piece of equipment and different bands. I was shown a twisting motion with one of the light bands working my core a little. This person was standing off to my right side and I could see them in my peripheral vision. ALL OF THE SUDDEN and with no warning, they stepped closer and slapped my core with their flat hand. It was a HARD SLAP that I wasn't at all expecting and it caused me to jerk back, exacerbating an already very tender back. I gasped and stopped. Then this person says "Oh, I'm sorry I was just checking to see if your core was engaged". What kind of trainer does this??

Really nice and clean gym. Good variety of machines and free weights. Super helpful and friendly staff. Bill is constantly checking and cleaning areas. He also takes the time to greet everyone and is willing to help with whatever is needed. Highly recommended.

I thought the PF on Sunray was nice but this location is so much nicer. Staff actually cleaning the gym floor and surfaces. Bathroom is huge and clean. Didn't notice anything broken or out of order. If Sunray wasn't within walking distance of my home, I'd change to this one!

Its a standard Planet Fitness location. They do have alot of space between equipment. Would like to see a bit more with the space they have. Not a fan of the brand of treadmill, nor elliptical machines they carry

I’ve been working out here on and off for years now. Never had an issue with needing a photo, but now all of a sudden I’m getting harassed every time even after I asked the employee “is it necessary” and he said “no”. Needless to say, I cancelled my membership.

This particular location has put in some real work to update its equipment which I really appreciate because the old equipment was straight falling apart or just broken. You get 5 for doing that but on the flip side I’m going to have to take away at least 1 star for how consistently gross the hybrid tanning booth is. The last 2 times there have been both kinds of human hairs on the floor of the machine. So I’m sure there are gross people who come to the gym to workout and tan but it’s unacceptable that other gym attendees should have to cleanup after said gross people. It’s entirely plausible that the person before me decided they didn’t want to touch the amount of hair laying around the edges of inside the machine.
I’ve told the morning staff about it but I’m sure it won’t matter and there will be more the next time I decide to use it.
I come at the crack of dawn before the suns even out so I know the staff has time to clean. If you got time to lean you got time to clean.
I do want to shout out their trainer. If you’ve got the time in the morning and have the upgraded membership do yourself a favor and take a few of his classes. Guy is an amazing person and shows an honest enthusiasm for working out. He saves this establishment from me giving it a 3 star instead of a 4.

Most of the staff is absolutely rude! Totally ignored almost every time I go there.. or they will say hello and goodbye because that's what they're paid to do. Very disingenuous... Also, and this is the reason why I canceled my membership there, one of their staff members complained to me and another member, directly (literally on the opposite side of the stall) for taking too long IN the bathroom stall because he was in a rush to clean it. (He had done this several times prior) So much so, I needed to complain to the manager. He was STILL yelling at me as I was walking out the door from the meeting with his own manager!

This was my first time at this planet fitness, I am a visitor in Florida and was excited for some southern hostility while I’m here. I drive uber and so sometimes I fall asleep for a moment before I get into the place I’m going after a long shift. I was very unpleasantly suprised to walk into both staff members staring at me in the most uncomfortable way. I walk inside after telling myself maybe they weren’t staring at me. The two male staff members see me at the front desk and look and walk away. Finally one walks back over, a taller brown harried gentleman, I scan my code. Now my home gym let me work out as I pay down my balance, this gentalmen said he cannot let me in, which is fine each gym has a different system, then his red haired heavier set co worker is now frantically staring while on the phone. So I focus back on the first gentalmen and explain the state of my account in hopes to get some kind of info on how to move forward, and I was met with rude statements and head shaking and being cut off mid sentence. I’ve never been so uncomfortable around a grown man in my life. Then I was watched as I left in the most Erie manner. Never will want to come to this planet fitness again. Only to find out at the end of this the planet fitness down the road ACTUALLY looked at my account and was able to let me in.

Been with PF for years. Most are well kept. This facility is poorly maintained. Multiple buckets catching water leaking from AC and ceiling;multiple machines inop, not functioning well, or broken pieces; been that way for months - like the owner doesn’t care.

Planet Fitness is one of the most cleanest gyms I've been in. I now really appreciated it since I've been to a few others.

This Hudson gym is much better equipped than some of the other PF gyms.

More Hydromassage and Massage chairs-ten minute, if not crowded you can go again.

Good lord this place is in tough shape. The machines I used were rough. Leg extension spring on the lap hold down busted. Chest/lat fly deck felt like it had stones on the cables. Cushions ripped on stuff, just in dire need of upkeep and maintenance.

I went here instead of bayonet point because I wanted to wash my car afterwards. Won’t happen again. Shameful.

1. Smaller location than the one in Hudson by far, could do with less treadmills (never full area) and more free weights.

2. More than once the "Lunk Alarm" should've been rang on rude gym-bros who are basically shouting while having full-on phone conversations through their Bluetooth to the point I had my headphones volume fully turned up and STILL could hear them across the machine rack. The sign clearly says keep phone conversations to the lobby. 😒

3. While I appreciate the services included in my black card membership, it's disgusting that more often than not when tanning, previous users have neglected cleaning up after themselves leaving body streaks and lotion-sweat lines for ME to clean up before use;
Shall I start receiving a stipend for cleaning up after myself AND others? Or should PF start charging a fee to nasty customers who feel entitled not to clean up after themselves?

Standards could be better all around, but who is there to enforce the courtesy rules and hygiene cleanliness of shared space? 🥴🥴🙃

Needs more free weights dumbbells only go to 75.. lots of bench presses only 1 single leg press and 1 single hack squat machine... I can't put 800lbs on the cable leg press.. or the cable squat
You should instruct people when you see them using the large leg press to press 90lbs they should be on the cable version. If you're not going above cable weight use the cable machines leave the leg press that can go higher weight for those that need that..
I stack 7 plates on each side for 14 total plates on that leg press this basically almost maxing it out so you also need better equipment in general.
I max out your ab.cable machines as well as the now broken calf cable machine....
Staff friendly tho and it's fairly quiet but see if it's only 2 bars busy in the app then why couldn't I get to a machine after 30 minutes of waiting?? What happens when it's actually busy?...

I have the black card membership so the water is $1. I paid for two water and as I’m leaving an older gentleman at the front yells out to me and tells me I only paid for 1 water. He wasn’t even the one who handled my transaction. I said no I told the guy two waters. He said you only paid for one water it’s $2 and then charges me another $2. I go to a different planet fitness and come to find out I did pay for two waters because it’s $1 for a water for black card members. Somebody please teach that guy how to do his job properly before he goes accusing another customer as they’re leaving the gym that they are stealing water.

Also, half as many benches and dumbbells as you need for how many people are attending during your busy hours

1st Antonio is an amazing team member. He has been more than willing to help me and others. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the same level of commitment in other staff members. It just seems like you are bothering them anytime you go to the desk. The showers have been cleaner, which is a plus. The rating of three out of five because there isn't much done in the area of cleaning and dusting the machines. The Total Body Spa can get pretty nasty inside. At times, I take up 3 min to clean out the hair and dirt on the mat. This isn't the staff so much as the nasty patrons. Antonio actually offered to clean up the area. An example of his superior service. Also, the trainer is amazing. She is kind, happy, and joyful interacting with everyone.

Homeless parking out of control, they park all night , every night. Scary place at these times. There is a maroon van parked in lot that hasn't moved in over a year,it doesn't run,but someone lives there, scary looking. They have to do something, have these people move or be towed.

Horrible customer service! Here for business in Tampa area. A colleague and I decided to hit the gym for a quick fitness class. Three staff members working the front desk and not one of them attempted to assist us.
I literally had to ask is anyone working today?
Just to get some assistance. Granted the one guy was with another client, so I’ll give him a pass but the other two women never said a word as I stood at the counter and was never acknowledged or offered any assistance. The one young lady nearest to me pretended to be logging entries into a computer or at least wanted us to think she was busy. It wasn’t until I expressed frustration then we received the proper treatment from the gentleman who had a previous customer. Interestingly enough when a male approaches the woman who ignored us she suddenly became available to assist him with a hydration drink. I’ll definitely elevate this compliant and plan to follow up. One of the worst PF gyms I’ve encountered and I’ve been a member for years and have visited other locations and have never been treated so poorly.

The showers never looked like they were cleaned. Someone's chewed up gum was sitting on the floor for at least 2 weeks before someone finally cleaned it up. One time I saw someone try to schedule themselves for a massage and he waited for like 10-20 minutes before someone came back up to the counter to confirm his appointment. He wasn't very happy. The don't enforce the no bags on gym floors rule very much seeing as I have tripped on bags. And yes I was watching where I was going.

Been going here for 7 1/2 months no issue. Crowded around the evening and early night but to be expected ‘round here. Way nicer bathrooms with a workable scale unlike the Holiday PF. Only complaints I would have are too many treadmills and not enough cable racks or free weight barbells that go up above 60 lbs instead of just smith machines. But that’s true for all PFs. There is also no side lateral raise machine, unlike at the Holiday PF, which I would love to have instead of a 2nd preacher curl machine or one of the abs machines that hardly get used. But it’s all good I can use side laterals via cable or dumbbell for now.

1. 2female taking pics in locker room.
2. Male vaping blackcard rm in massage chair.health code violation
3.male vaping in bathrooms.
All seen by associates. Mgr did not term memberships.
4. Asst mgr seen using handicap bathroom to change. Not illegal. Just poor example leadership. Not first time seen.

Staff mixture is off. We have a male come in the black card area and using the hydros os leaking fluid out of his knee and staff turns the other way. New male on his headst on phone call when approached the desk. Too much down time bathrooms not checked as much. Used to be really good here. Sawyer and Dan still top nothch here.

They feel that the criticism of any of the staff means that the management has failed at her position and at this club she has. Due to the lack of maturity, Allowing staff especially an assistant manager have a personal relationship with one of the employees. Your staff is not perfect and you just need to learn to accept that period when you cannot accept it.It shows a lack of professionalism that is in place as management. I have been in there and they have done things inappropriately , Is having inappropriate conversations,etc. But retaliation is just pure evil. And a lack of maturity.

Not only this facility but also the company is not a judgment free zone. you cannot express your concerns without management retaliating with false accusations. Corporate office does not ask for any kind of proof or even a video anybody can make a statement but can your management provide a video of what they're saying you did. The problem is that planet fitness does not give you the judgment free zone as advertised because they allow false statements to create terminations in membership. It's the lack of maturity of the management that was put in place not only of this facility but also in corporate facilities. It just shows that decline in professionalism and especially in the manager in this club. And she wonders why all her business is going over to Eos. You're not the only place with a hydro massage or massage chairs. The environment that is created in this facility is not judgment free. You cannot be yourself and belong. Find your hydro massage both at any time.Fitness and also crunch fitness . Crunch is the same price. If you are here you will notice a lot of issues that are going on with the acknowledgment of the management. Be careful not to speak. So you will hurt the feelings of the employees and then they will lie on you. I have had the guy with tattos to be extremely rude to me at some point in time and trying to discuss the matter with the assistant manager.It was A waste of time especially when I realized they were "together."
I was in the club when the assistant manager said that the manager told her to count cars out in the parking lot. The assistant didn't even know what it was about. It's not even their parking lot.
I just want to tell the corporate office that the management in this club is very unprofessional.And you need to contact the owner and have them contact me.
And in the meantime, you need to make sure that any time Your manager is wanna complain about the members that you have video evidence.
You are way too trusting with your staff and people. Is they are out to protect their own job. You need to have evidence like a video. Stop allowing these people to abuse their power and position because of their hurt feelings of people being honest in this post.

To say that the two ladies that are in the black card room utilizing the unlimited spa SEE UPDATE 1 ,do not bother anybody. Before anybody wants to start packing on some lies about them. The black card room is usually always empty.It is utilized by the staff for phone calls/members.and also by the trainers, As well as guest kids, spouses pqeople waiting for other people to use the gym. After reading the reviews, I too have been subject to the young individuals that have been in the black card room using the hydrospaw.2 guys using vulgar language and talking about their private parts jiggling
Around during the hydro massage. The signs are very clear that phone calls are supposed to be held in the lobby and the staff does not enforce it. We have one man that comes in with his business calls.And they last for quite sometime and he makes you feel like you are a problem. We have also seen the staff eating in the black card room which other of us have been told not to do. Since the manager wants to talk to someone about hanging around for a long time, the employee with the tattoos on him. He's always hanging around at the front desk. He works the midnight shift as a maintenance personnel period but he is always hanging around at the front desk during the day. For long periods of time, while the other staff is on duty and that does not seem to be a problem with your manager .he is usually there with the assistant manager. I would also like to say there will be multiple people at the desk.And they're so busy laughing joking and socializing that they're not paying attention to the computer and making the customers continuously get up and have to ask them to start their next session. Since the manager wants to find fault with paying members, maybe we need to tell the corporate office and get HOLD of the owner,What really goes on during payroll time. And yet the manager finds that her staff off duty can be hanging around distracting The individuals at the front desk and socializing with them , when PAYING members are being told They spent too much time utilizing the unlimited sPA.
Update1 to corp.overheard mgr tell a Disable person spending too much time in blackboard room USING UNLIMITED SPA.and charging phone. WE have ALL used that person ext cord to charge phones as per ok fro staff. This is a direct violation of MGR JUDGEMENT And violation of your policies.CONTACT CLUB OWNER. MGR BLOCKING MEMBERS THAT INFO.

I love my blackboard membership here but lately the black card room has turnd into kiddie corner. 2 male playing video games tend to get kind of loud. Kids waiting for parents, calls on speaker phones, family members using it as room.
18 yr Olds are not adults under fl law until start college in August. They have started over running the black card room.

For some reason, the manager was having the assistant count the cars in a parking lot that doesn't belong to them.Because the lack of people that was in planet fitness , this is a plaza. Then she was driving around the parking lot looking at all the cars.According to the manager we were only allowed to use the unlimited spa for up 2 hours. You're not allowed to say anything about the staff's lack of performance or anything else because you will get terminated. People don't like it when you let the corporate office know that they are not for filling their obligation to the franchise contract.
So the manager.
Canceled my membership saying we violated policy. utilizing the spa area unlimited.She said no.It should be limited to 2 hours.
That's not unlimited. They said that we were disrespectful to people.However we have Another person that sat in the black card room with us and they can tell you that we were never disrespectful to any of the staff. Actually on the contrary. As I was talking him into upgrade to a black card he wanted to try the hydro. The assistant manager told them yes, and then when we went up there.Her boyfriend, that works there,That has all the tattoos told us no and that he couldn't be in the black card room (even though he was being sponsored). This guy has sat with us every night in the black card room and he can tell you that we did not bother anybody.We did not disrespect anyone. The staff told us we could move the chair closer to the plug and charge our phones.And we did ,as well as others and the manager complained about it. We always put the table right back. It was more like the staff wants to use the black card room in order to go make their Personal phone calls. People have been calling them out and I guess she thought it was me.
But I would like the corporate office to know that you say unlimited usage of the spa. I have an injury and we were utilizing the spa Until after my medical appointment this weekend. Evidently unlimited usage of the spa is an advertisement that is not being upheld by the management. And as for any disrespectful to her staff I have a witness that I have never been disrespectful to anybody in there. Corporate office needs to have a conversation with the owner of this facility and have them contact me. Because your manager and her staff are falsifying.Information and they are denying a black card member to sit using an unlimited spa. It seems that your managers are putting time limits on your unlimited policy. The funny thing is I have spent even longer hours at eos. They have never had a problem with us utilizing the facilities for as long as we like. Their staff doesn't go into the relaxation area to take personal phone calls. They don't talk on their earbuds Why at the front desk. I got two upgrades for this club and also two black card memberships and those will be walking out the door. This club can't afford to lose anybody else.Because at the best most busy time you've got maybe ten people in there. The parking lot may be full but they're not in planet fitness.
We'll also know the staff has discussed with us if they have been losing business multiple cancellations every week. GO FIGURE. You can get your hydro massage at crunch fitness in newport , richey and also at any time fitness in Hudson.

All for the same price of having to put up with people lying about you and not allowing you to unlimitely use the unlimited spot area. I think in the legal world its false advertisement.. trainer, and New Girl.Put the session on the wrong massage chair.I asked them to change it he told me no, jump in the other chair.I have a leg injury. It's funny that some of the staff know how to do their job and the other bit of the staff don't know how to do their job. And they wonder why the members have to accommodate employees lack training. Like I said, I have a witness.Never disrespectful to the staff.It's a lie.

Update for corp.heres the SLAP in the face. I have seen,including one employee from New port richey club,go to EOS GYM IN THEIR PLANET FITNESSS STAFF SHIRTS! LOL. WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE TO PLANET FITNESS. THIS CLUB you can see the dust in the bathrooms AND blackcard room . The fake plants have dust on them.

Manger is just nasty. Some male employee with tattoos has a serious attitude. No wonder people drop them for eos. The shower curtains have scum on them. You see staff standing around a lot on personal calls,allowing guest or spouses to sit in black card room while member works out. YOUNG MALES In there cussing and using vulgar language, putting feet on furniture. People vaping in club and spa,photos being taken in bathrooms. THIS IS A JUDGEMENTAL ZONE.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Dirty place that is never swept - you'll see the same things on the floor from week to week, sometimes even month to month. Most of the staff is decent but Sam is a JERK as well as Tyler. Machines have holes in the fabric, are constantly broken, and the ceiling and/or AC are constantly leaking so it's not even safe. Heck, the lights only work half of the time in the locker room. The system goes down every other day it seems and it takes months to see a repair completed. I would NEVER use the showers or bathrooms based on how well other things are cleaned. It seems the tanning bed lights haven't been changed in 10 years as much as they 'work' , and the massage chairs and beds are all nasty. Save your money and look at the better gyms in the area.

It's a nice gym, but twice now the heavier Redhead, who puts his hair in a bun, needs to cool down on his power trip. It is literally midnight with nobody in the gym and he takes his job way too seriously and provides terrible customer experience.I changed my home gym locations because he is very unpleasant. It's clear he takes this little bit of power way too much to his head.

They have very limited machine I signed up for one month and I went to cancel due to there not being many machine and what they do gave is super old and nasty. I was not only charger 25 doblarse for on monthly they also charged me an anual fee of 50 dollars. I would not recommend this gym at all.

I was hurt on the job and canceling has been virtually impossible, I've now talked to 4 different people and a manager, the company is charging a hurt, unemployed person $25.70 a month including late fees to a member who has used their facility 1 time in last 11 months.

The assistant manager Ashley is completely incompetent. I called to cancel my account because I do not use the membership due to heavy police activity in that area, I just don’t feel safe. According to Ashley, if you want to cancel your membership you will need to either go in person, or write a letter. Which makes it very difficult. I asked to speak to the GM and she told me they were on vacation, and refused to give me her work contact info and told me to call back next week. I then asked if she could send me a copy of my contract I signed and she refused. Asked to get the owners email or contact and she advised me that I wasn’t getting any higher than her and the Manager. Classy! The place is ran by a bunch of children. Needless to say, the customer service sucks and I’ll be damned if I spend another dime here!

Update:
Manager Jamie called, had zero remorse for her assistant managers unprofessionalism and her inability to answer questions regarding membership cancellations. In fact made excuses for her and said “I don’t know, maybe she was in a bad mood”?
Also, asked to contact the owners and was told by the manager that she is trained to handle all issues and that the owners don’t get involved. I then asked for corporates number or email and she said she couldn’t give me that info.

If you have a problem don’t expect it to get fixed.

I’ve been going to this gym for awhile now with my son and unlike many gyms I’ve been to in the past this planet fitness isn’t as strict as what you hear about online. Yes the free weights only go up to 75lbs and the 4 smith machines they have there are usually always taken unless you go early in the morning however I’ve never had an issue with the lunk alarm and the staff is very friendly. And from my own personal experience the place is clean and welcoming and usually the people that workout there are also pretty friendly. Take note this isn’t a bodybuilding gym however the staff have no issues with you using your own ingenuity to get the work done as long as you respect the equipment as well as the other gym goers honestly this particular gym has changed my entire opinion on planet fitness’s and this specific location is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to and they have better equipment than anytime fitness.

No frills but has everything that I need.

Pros:
•There are always plenty of treadmills, etc available.
•Weight machines are usually open, or the wait is short.
•Locker room is clean. (They just finished remodeling them)
•The weight machines that put your body into compromising positions are separated by a wall so others can't stare at you.
•Open 24 hours!
•They have a Personal Trainer on staff now.

Cons:
•Many people don't honor or understand the 30 minute Circuit.
•Squat racks are always taken.
•Only 7 minutes at a time on the Hydromassage and massage chairs. It should be 15-20.
•No big digital clock on the wall to time sets and rest.

I came in with a visitor pass and was looking forward to joining the gym. I was barely greeted when I arrived (maybe she was having an off day.) Then on the pass it said I would have to take a tour, great! I could learn all that Planet Fitness has to offer! Not so much. I was told to sign the waiver and then that was it. I asked where I could put my belongings and she told me the women's locker room was off to the left. I'm not new to gym's (thankfully) but I was new to this facility and was disappointed. This was a missed opportunity to get a new customer.

Fix your machines. The butterfly press has been out of service for a few weeks. I couldn’t even use it the last two times I visited because it’s been crowded and multiple people wait for it. I’ll look elsewhere to a gym that can fix their equipment.
