This is a large gym with plenty of machines for everybody.Whatever you like to work out there's a machine that does it. The layout for this location is pretty nice with the machines put in their own areas. My main complaint is that there were a lot of broken machines.A lot of the machines were in poor repair or just look nasty.

The reception staff are friendly and helpful, but the worst thing about this place is the restrooms: always dirty and smelly. I've even seen homeless people sleeping on a bench inside the locker rooms.

Quiero destacar especialmente a Suzi en la recepción, quien siempre me recibe con una sonrisa y una energía increíble. Es muy atenta, cordial y está siempre dispuesta a ayudar con cualquier consulta. The planet fitness at north Miami Beach is a mess. We don't have AC for over a month. There is 7 machines broken... and when l asked the management they told me that there is only one technician for the whole state of Florida. Ridiculous!! Very disappointed. I will start looking for another gym. This one is not worth it at all.

If I can give less than 1 star I would. I have called corporate at least 3 times within the last month!!! I was told by corporate that the manager would reach out. When I called back corporate for a status report, I was told that the manager called and got no response. The manager told me he called 1 time and didn’t leave a message. What’s the purpose of voicemail?? 3 times, why??? Cause the ac doesn’t work, the hydrobeds don’t work the ceiling is caving in and the shower in the ladies’ room is disgusting! The ac doesn’t work!!!! Someone can fall over from heat exhaustion. Lawsuit waiting to happen.The manager told me that he had to fix some of the machines (vinyl) himself cause corporate refuse to.
They have no problem taking my money, why can’t I get the services that I’m paying for? They are not living up to their part of the contract. If I do get the services, it’s less that minimum.

So I got membership about 6 days ago and I decided since I was in the nmb area that I would stop by this location. When I arrived, the crew there (guy with dreads and Hispanic girl with glasses) told me I had no membership with them and that even if I did that I’m not allowed because “this location is in a different district” which is bull. They treated me so unfairly and I will never go back to that location again. Mind you, I was already skeptical of the area but I decided to give it a try anyways. I’m canceling my membership. The women’s shower area is unacceptable. The tiles are stained, grimy, and clearly neglected. The shower floor looks like it hasn’t had a deep clean in weeks (see photo). Doesnt matter if the membership is $22, the least you can do is have someone clean the showers.

Management needs to prioritize regular cleaning and maintenance ASAP. Nobody should have to shower in conditions like this after a workout.

I’ve been to a lot of PFs and this one is definitely the dirtiest, most rundown with deteriorated equipment, and overall worst facilities I’ve seen. It literally smells like a bathroom where someone just dropped a fresh one every time you walk in. The ceiling is actively leaking in certain spots and it hasn’t even been raining recently. A lot of the equipment is simply broken, missing parts, or so deteriorated that it’s a pain to use. The black card “spa” has super worn out couches that look like they’re about 30 years old, not sure who would ever sit on them. The massage chairs don’t have towels next to them to wipe them down. They have random non-gym stuff stored in plain sight, blocking egress, rather than tucked away in the back. Bathrooms are disgusting. I will say the staff have all been super nice but this is definitely the “forgotten” location of the franchise.

Staff is always hanging out at the counter, nothing is ever cleaned, weights are all over the place, nobody racks them. There's more people hanging out on the benches than actually working out... I wish there was such a gym where the staff would actually tell clients to rack their weights after use or to get off the machine if they're on the phone hanging out. Unfortunately, today I encountered a problem when the men's locker room was closed by an employee 20-15 minutes before closing. Standing at the entrance to the locker room for 5 minutes, I managed to enter the locker room, but this employee reacted aggressively and forbade me to take a 3-minute shower to freshen up after a hard workout. I’ve read a couple of the reviews and have a view of my own as a visitor this evening.
I am visiting from NY and have a PF membership for the times I travel and want to hit a gym.
Firstly, the PF’s in Florida are head and shoulders better than the ones I have been to in NYC.
Second, I am at this particular gym this evening and the AC is blowing very nicely and it’s a comfortable temp for working out.
Also, there are a number of people walking around vacuuming and tidying up the place.
Is it glamours, by no means.
The machines are fine, the place is relatively clean and the front desk staff seem friendly.

My two cents and an out of towner.

I gave it four stars as this club seems better than most. I don’t think I would give any PF a five star.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your gym today, Friday, September 13th. Starting at around 9:39 p.m., the staff began sounding the alarm repeatedly every three minutes, and this continued for an extended period. It seemed as though they were trying to rush us out of the gym, which was extremely frustrating.

I understand and respect that the gym closes at 10:00 p.m., but I find it inappropriate to use an alarm in this manner when there is still time left before closing. As a member, I come to the gym to exercise and unwind, not to leave feeling stressed because the staff is in a hurry to close. A more reasonable approach, such as giving a notice 10 minutes before closing, would be sufficient to inform members without making them feel pressured.

I hope this situation can be addressed to avoid such inconveniences in the future, as I believe this behavior is disrespectful to the members.

This might be the worst Planet Fitness ever. The planet fitness on 163rd st north Miami beach sucks the system is always having problems yet we have to pay late fees even it's supposed to be automatic getting a refund takes months due to managers not duing their jobs I call they say they will get on it but never do and they are never at the store in the afternoon

The manager told a guy that he had to go because they had cameras in the locker room and they saw him break a locker. So, there are cameras in the locker room and there are guys breaking the lockers

Compré una membresía porque tenia varias Gimnasios afiliados en la Florida. Y como iba a estar de viaje lo saqué.

Todo lo compré online y muy fácil.

Luego quise cancelar online. No se podía.
Tenia que contactar al Gym.

Llamé al Gym, y me dijeron que tenia que ir a cancelar la membresía presencial. Pero yo ya estaba devuelta en mi país.

Por lo que me dicen que no se puede.

Dear Owner,
You have a gym that has alot of people that goes there, but you have OLD equipment that needs to be updated. It's been months that some are broken And to top it off your massage chair you still have to use coins 🪙🪙. Do better for your customer's ⁉️

This planet fitness has to be one of the dirtiest gyms I have been too. I signed up a few months ago and was very excited but as soon as I started to attend I couldn’t help to notice the bathrooms. They are the dirtiest things ever!!! Always dirty, smelly or broken! The tannings beds are also broken, most of the lights don’t function and the music is also out or service. The machines most of the times are also broken and never repaired! Corporate needs to step it up and pay a visit to this particular facility because it looks dirty from the moment you walk in!! Please do something to this gym!! It needs to be cleaner all around!!!

This is the WORST Planet Fitness I’ve been to. Filthy bathrooms, nasty and old equipment that smells like urine, lazy staff, manager keeps playing board games with other staff instead of making sure the facility is clean… just ridiculous. I don’t know how this gym is still open. Takes more than a month for equipment to be fixed when is broken. There are roaches in the showers and lockers. Disgusting. DON’T GO TO THIS LOCATION!

This is the worst place where I’ve been to I called so many times they answered the phone but stuffs there need to be more professional and respectful they are giving a hard time to transfer I called 6 times now and they just hung up the call I called today at 3:32 and the stuffs there suck at all I asked for the manager who’s the only one who has access to transfer before 90 days or who’s the only one who can do hard transfer I need to transfer because I move to another state and they are still giving a hard time this place sucks I hope the finally fix this issue

The gym smells wet. The showers/bathroom areas not maintained and cleaned enough. Soap bars left in showers from multiple people, pubic hair everywhere. The staff are cool and welcoming. The importance of keeping things clean and well maintained should be a big priority too.
