I was a little disappointed with the gym this time. There were several machines out of order and overall the state of the machines seemed distressed and run down.
Also, there was only one employee that I could see which would explain why there is nobody to refill the paper towel dispensers or do basic cleaning of the floors and garbages.
The tanning room also seemed like it could have used a sweep and a mop.

Fairly clean. Most of the staff very friendly courteous. Not all but most. My only thing is the shower. It's ice cold. I stayed up late couldn't sleep stressing about life going through it hence why I chose planet fitness over la and what not. The massage chairs and tanning. Didn't think about cold shower unless it was a choice. Ice cold approximately 2ish this morning no one using showers still ice cold. I may cancel if this is all the time. That may be a deal breaker...

Came ro the gym like any other night and was on the treadmill another person walked in and got in the treadmill next to me on the phone very loud , which was very disturbing , I so see signs that say call phone conversations on the lobby only , so I called while on the treadmill to inform the lady at the front that someone is on the phone and its very disturbing to my workout , they sent someone to walk back there but nothing was done I completely ended my workout to leave as im leaving I stopped at the front desk to inform "Brianna" about the situation , she was very rude and failed to understand an informed me that I would need to move to a different workout machine which sounds ridiculous when I was the one on the treadmill first! Very upset ! And disgusted with her response ! Why would I move to benefit someone ? Horrible workout session ! 0/10 for Brianna !

Over crowded. Nowhere near enough space and equipment for the volume of people. I have started looking for other gyms that have cater to they're clients needs not the just amount of people they can get signed up for membership. Been this way for over a year.

Follow up: came into gym. I could not find 1 single piece of equipment that was not in use. I double checked the " Crowd Meter" to which it stated that they gym was " a little busy". Very inaccurate. I stand by my original post of an over crowded gym. Pehabs the real solution to the over crowded location is to meter off the amount of new memberships or expand so that the crowds do not continue to get worse.

The equipment is great, but the staff doesn't clean. I have notified the staff regarding the bathrooms multiple times, and 3 weeks later you can still see the same stickers on the shower walls. That's gross.

The Lee road location in Orlando does a great job, the gym is clean and is staff is very attentive. If there's regional management they should try to cross train or something, because there's literally always people talking at the front desk in Orange City but nobody ever cleaning.

This is a great gym to work out at! They have a very large selection of cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights and lots of specialty equipment. They have a 30 minute fitness room, abbs and core room and a room with lots of mirrors and specialty pieces of equipment. I love going to the massage room where they have hydro massage chairs and regular massage chairs. They have tanning beds and tanning units that you stand in.

I travel for work and I love the convenience of having a planet fitness black membership. I am currently in the Orange city area and have been using this planet fitness for the last couple of months. The staff is nice and this location is clean. The only complaint that I have is that there are multiple TVs in the treadmill area that have been out for at least two weeks. There’s only about four or five working TV’s currently at this time. I asked the girl (dark hair/glasses) at the check-in desk if there was an updated status, as to when they would be fixed and she said in a very obtuse way, that she didn’t know what I was talking about, and that I needed to direct my questions to her manager, who was not there. There are quite a few of the treadmills that have been out of order for a while as well, which is unfortunate when it’s a busy day.

I like the 30 minute workout. BUT when several people come in and use one machine repeatedly and dont rotate holding up your timed workout. It sucks! Then they dont wipe down equipment. And all you workers have to say is put on your shoes!! Very frustrated!

I like that this Orange city location is open 24hrs but there have been days that they were out of paper towels to wipe down the equipment. This can be overlooked and understandable on occasion. What I don't like is that they have appx 20 treadmills and over a dozen of them no longer work. This is the same with the elliptical machines, only there are even more of them no longer working. There is also another row of some other machines, and again, they no longer work. A friend is considering joining the gym with me but I have told them that it would not be this gym. If they decide to join a gym we will both be going somewhere else. I used to go to the YMCA and switched to PF instead for the convienice but we may end up having to go back to the Y. Too few working machines at PF for the amount of people. Hopefully they get their machines fixed Very Quickly. Good luck.
If you are considering joining, be sure to walk back and see how many are working. From a distance it looks like they have plenty of machines and not too busy but they aren't busy because they don't work.

11/21/24 UPDATE: The treadmills are back working again now. The elliptical machines still are out of order so depends on the machines you want to use. Keep in mind that since the ellipticals do not work, the people that would be on them are now on the treadmills. That being said, when I am ready to use the treadmills, one has been available.

7/2025 Update: I have not been back to confirm but I have been told that all machines have been repaired and are up and working. 👍🏼

I go to the gym, I mind my own business, I always pay on time, I work out, and leave. I was injured on the treadmill back in March. I immediately reported the issue and received very poor empathy. They did not offer to fill out an incident report. I found out they should have, especially as my pain continued and I was unable to work. I went back to fill out an incident report. They told me I should hear from someone from the clams department within the next week or so. I did not hear from anyone. I called and each time, I am told the manager is not in. I went back into the gym and the same person that took the report told me “the process changed but your incident is active and I will follow up on it”.

I have called several times since. IF the manager is there, he tells me the same thing that they are working on it and I should hear from someone. Most of the time I am informed no one is there to help. We are at 3 months since my injury. I went several days without working and have seeked treatment for my pains.

This is a terrrible process. I feel very dismissed and lied to. I feel I have been scammed and I am worried for anyone that has been injured at that gym. I have been kind, patient, and just trying to follow the process. I have yet to receive a single call about my well being or conclusion of the report.

Absolutely love this Planet Fitness location in Orange City! This has been my home gym for about two years. Ive been coming to this Gym for over a year now. Since moving from Deland to Deltona. Big difference between both locations. Management needs to Please speak to the staff, they have to clean better and more often. This place is so dirty. I saw kids that look younger than 13 slamming cable weights that are breaking down. The mirrors are foggy , the sanitizer is always empty, while the staff is up front on their phones. The pictures i shared are what 80% of the machines look like.
We pay enough to not feel grossed out when we try to enjoy our time there.

Big fan of this gym. A group of friends and I scouted out a few local gyms, trying the free day pass and this one by far exceeded the others in many ways. So, we all become enters.

The facility is incredibly clean & up-to-date, including bathrooms and locker room. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming every visit. They are also very knowledgeable and helpful.

The price is fantastic for the quality of the equipment and the amount of space. I truly appreciate how well-maintained the equipment is. I love the barcodes on everything with instructions and how a lot of the cardio machines have Apple Watch connection.

I’ll definitely be a lifetime member of the orange city planet fitness!

Thankfully I have the membership where I can go elsewhere because this specific Planet Fitness is one of the worst I’ve ever had to use.

I don’t even know where to begin.
The equipment is outdated, very gross and almost all are busted in some capacity.
I see guests FREQUENTLY not wipe machines down after use, there’s tootsie roll wrappers shoved in the crevices of most treadmills/bikes, the showers are absolutely dirty and disgusting with broken/rusted fixtures and the overall smell of this gym is enough to make you sick.

I don’t know who is in charge of this facility but it’s deplorable and this location should be ashamed of how it’s running.
Other PF’s are not this gross, avoid this particular facility at all costs.

This Gym is pretty chill. Usually very clean and the staff is very nice. The Gym can get incredibly busy at times and some people just hog up machines forever with no consideration of others who may want to use the same machine (The main machines are the sit up machines in pics) they definitely need two more of these sit-up machines. Those two are very popular. I would advise gym goers to clean machines before and after as many gym goers do not clean after themselves….besides that this gym has helped me turn around my pre diabetic diagnostic and get physically in shape! Im in the best shape I ever been in my life! Thanks PF!

and i was treated and Insulted by this random girl i don't know if she worked there or what but this is supposed to be a JUDGMENT FREE ZONE and it's a lie and this girl started talking to me when i was looking for a workout equipment for my arms and then she started adjusting the workout machine and telling me how to workout with it and then she INSULTED ME in my face saying do you have some disability or diseases which I DON'T and she kept on bothering me and saying oh i didn't want to hurt you and was actually too nice to her by the way she talked to me and the last thing she told me was oh trust me oh i get nervous and i saw her walking around afterwards and no worked was around to see what happened and call it out and do something for me this gym needs workers watching the place and i could sue this place because it's supposed to be a JUDGMENT FREE ZONE and it's not honored and it's a lie and i was and still upset and uncomfortable with this place and it's unacceptable how i was treated here this place needs better workers watching everyone and making sure who comes in there and the people didn't even notice what happened to me the workers were just talking about there video games and didn't even notice how i was treated and how i was harmed this is unacceptable planet fitness and this place is not run well at all something should be done about this.
