I'm not really sociable however I do appreciate when staff attempt to do their jobs. It's as if a bunch of teenagers who could care less were hired to do this job. Now no one is rude, the vibes are pleasant, but you can just tell the bare minimum is done. The mens locker rooms are big and spacious why are the bathroom sections not cleaned every 30 minutes when there's traffic in the building and the showers? I went on Saturday - noticed red hair clumps, like thick long hair onbthe floor near the drain, i shuddered and carried on- skipped Sunday - returned Monday night for a 3 mile run - coincidentally picked that same shower I was in for a simple rinse off already turned off by the fact it immediately smelled like stale piss and a anime loving couple that just sat there for 17 hours - SAW THE SAME HAIR CLUMPS. Yall...that's NASTY!

Zero professionalism, zero welcome.
I came in on a guest pass and immediately regretted it. The place wasn’t clean, and the energy was awful. Three employees up front — one couldn’t even bother to look up from her phone, and another was being so fake-nice it was uncomfortable. Not one of them made me feel remotely welcome. On top of that, they don’t even have any group classes right now — they said they’re “in between instructors.” For a gym this size, that’s ridiculous. If this is how they treat potential members, I can only imagine how they treat paying ones. Won’t be returning, period.

They've been charging me well after the 10th every month. So I going to cancel my account and apparently in the contract you have to do it by the 10th because that's supposed to charge you on the 11th. I find this disgusting. Haven't even been charged but you're going to charge me even though I canceled the account and I can't cancel basically this month so you're just going to give me a month without being able to cancel it's stupid it's stupid it's stupid and it's just predatory stupid so therefore you get one star I wish I can give you zero. The gym is okay, but I think they need to update the equipment and it could be cleaner and when you pay for a black card membership the equipment in the back should be updated, and there should also be Total Body Enhancement with the red light therapy like most other Planet Fitnesses offer . On most of the reviews the owner of Planet Fitness refers you to management staff ,"passing the buck". Management staff can't take care of this concern related to updating equipment and
no Total Body Enhancement.
Please don't refer me to the manager.

I pretty much said it all already. I I think the gym could be improved by being cleaner. Also, most Planet Fitness gyms have at least one Total Body Enhancement and update the equipment in the black card area and we pay for that with our black card membership. That is how this gym could be improved. I highly appreciate your responding to my review because I care about businesses.

Usually a good place to work out. except for today. They closed at 1 because of Labor Day, which is very understandable. What isn't acceptable is closing down the Black Card area before 1230 to clean. We purposely cut our workout early so we could tan, only to find out they closed the Black Card area early. This is unacceptable especially after dealing with this area constantly being closed for air conditioning problems. I'm paying for 2 Black Card memberships and at times feel like I'm wasting my money. This gym is steadily going down hill, and you need to remember there's a brand new gym just across the street.

I would definitely give 5 stars but super frustrated with clients using the 30 minute circuit without doing the full 30. They just come in and jump on a machine. Interfering with the circuit. Other than that we could get a tan at the beach . It's Florida for goodness . Well this month we got charged 15 dollar late fee the lady I spoke to today was very rude for one and was saying that it had to stay on auto pay and that it was due for everyone on the 17 of the month . And that's how they get you right there not every body get paid on the same day of the week and the 17 does not fall on the same day every month. We don't always have the money in our account on no other day of the week but fridays but the 17 doesn't always fall on a Friday so then they can hit you with a late fee of 15 dollars . It's just crazy. 15 dollars is outrageous for a late fee to begin with we will be canceling our membership as soon as we get our money's wotth!

I am very upset with this place. I was charged a late fee on top of a monthly bill that I believed was cancelled. I was told on the phone that my membership would be cancelled & I was good to go. I closed that account with the notion everything was taken care of. This morning I got a charge on my card for $43 I called and asked why they said it was my monthly bill as well as a LATE FEE because my payment was returned from the bank! I asked for a refund since this was not my fault. And I don’t have this random money to just be giving out to people. They told me there was nothing that they could do.
So I basically just had $43 stolen from me!! I am so upset & I believe this needs to be said so the next person doesn’t get money just taken from them.

This is a great place to work out and feel good. There is no judgement here... After finally becoming cancer free from a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer, I needed to wake my muscles back up. I was about to go back to work but didn't think I could stand on my feet for 8 hours I needed to build my strength backed up But was worried about going to a gym and feeling rushed or embarrassed because I could only curl 10 lbs , But I had to do something, so my wife talked me in joining up with Planet Fitness.Everyone is great from the staff all the way to the other clientele. They have so much equipment that I never feel rushed while working out. They are very clean offering many stations with spray and towels. I love that I can go back and relax after my workout and utilize the massage chair or hydro massage (whatever I feel like using that day) , or I could get a tan If I wasn't so Irish and actually could tan. Haha. I also love the fact that if I bring a guest with me, they can also use The relaxing offerings in the black club membership lounge. For a great price as it is, and they are always offering specials, you definitely get your money's worth your way out, don't forget to grab a grape Tootsie roll.

I’ve been a black card member for awhile now ‘ but I hardly use any of its perks. So today I decided to bring a friend and we had a great work out , everything was clean staff was friendly upon arrival. When I was ready to get a massage Alexis gave me the HARDEST TIME! She even argued with another employee infront of customers, it was such a bad look. Alexis gave me so much attitude I had to tell her to calm down! She made me and my friend I brung along with me feel completely uncomfortable, and absolutely unwelcomed! Not only that I was embarrassed because she assumed I didn’t have a black card and refused massage when I first asked her ‘ we had words and I told her i had given her no reason to be so rude , completely embarrassed me I’ll never return to the Palatka location unfortunately

Place has fallen into a daycare, kids unsupervised running around. Today in men's locker room 3 boys (maybe 12-14) playing with squirt guns, running into another gym member with no regard to them. Unfortunately it has become the norm. Time to look for a different place, I come here to workout, it's like a Chucky Cheese.

We were RVing and stopped for 1 evening in Hastings, FL. We used the gym's showers to clean up and the bathrooms were nicely renovated with your own walk in private space . It included a chair, mirror, and shelves to place your bath products on. Samantha was working hard yet made it look so casually normal and the bathrooms were literally SPOTLESS. As soon as I walked in, she asked me if I was going to use a shower, then pointed towards one that was still steaming and smelling deliciously clean from her efforts. Once I came out I HAD to compliment her on her efforts of keeping this place in TIP TOP SHAPE!

The staff at the Palatka location are so courteous and friendly - much more so than the St. Augustine location. The Palatka location is also much cleaner than the St. Augustine location. In Palatka they are always cleaning everything, which in the age of COVID makes me feel reassured. The staff always seems to have the time to be devote to a clients questions or comments, and they do so in the most courteous, respectful, and friendly manner. I occasionally have to go to the St. Augustine location but PERFER BY FAR the Palatka location, it is all around superior.

They have run out of toilet paper (!) and one of the 2 soap dispensers in the womens bathroom has been broken for as long as I've been going....considering the importance of hand-washing this baffles me ! ***In response to PF responce, I have given feedback to front office staff....THEY should be communicating up the ladder to management. Way to go management, entire facility full of teens sitting around occupying the equipment while playing on their phones. Had a group of teen crowd all the treadmills around me just to take turns throwing the free tootsie rools from the front desk at each other (after they chewed on them to get them wet). They then set all the treadmills to max incline and speed just to walk off leaving them running while unoccupied. HORRIBLE!
