Manager was very rude and called me a lier... a young black girl (worker) told us we could use any thing but tanning beds on a day pass. We asked about hydro beds she told us yes they'd be open in about 5 minutes. When I went back up she was not there so we still asked and the manager said no and no one would have told.me yes. I described the girl to her and she informed us there was no black girl staffed there at all and only her (the manager) and a guy working today. She walked away and not only did the original girl come apologize to me to other girls I had already seen working was there. This was crazy

If I could give this 0 stars, I would!!!!!! I am NOT a fan of this location!!!! This is by far the SMALLEST Planet Fitness I've ever been to. Which sucks because the location itself, is amazing, but they desperately need a bigger facility or more room or something. The machines are all crammed in together and by each other. There's barely any room to move in between the machines. There's literally no fans where they really need to be. And the TV situation is different. Who can see those small little bitty things? Plus the machines are old and run down. 0/10, don't recommend!

I don’t appreciate staff targeting my teenage daughter during a workout in the middle of everyone there and then they want to say “that could have been handled better” she wasn’t bothering anyone. And they were right it could have been handled by better by the so called professionals. She was doing what the gym is for working out like she has since January. If the staff knew she was missing a waiver form I could have been called to be informed or to do whatever change I needed to the account just like I was called to inform me of her “attitude” and to let me know my membership could just be canceled. The best thing about this gym is location. So for that I give it 2 stars. Gym is hot, never paper products, teens everywhere for free, nobody acknowledges anyone, even the managers. This location was my favorite of all the planet fitness centers until recently. Seems like nobody cares anymore. Crunch may put them out of business soon. Their new location is coming soon but they truly are letting the place go. Broken machines, machines that move often. Super bad for people in routines like myself. Dripping water and buckets everywhere. Even signing up was supposed to be $1 for the first month of my return back after years. That was also not true. I got charged full price and when I asked about it. The guy laughed and said ya, you signed up at the end of the month. I said, so if I waited till the 1st I would have gotten the month for $1. He laughed and said ya. I was like ok. Not gonna fight it but others should know the shady practices. Luckily, I work close but it may be worth driving somewhere else at this point. Nobody even greets or says goodbye. Not even the GM. Its kinda shocking the lack of customer service. Its their business though, so they can run it to the ground if they want to.

When I signed up no indication that the planet fitness close to my house is going to close for renovations. When I found out about it lot of breuacrecy to cancel my membership. Difficult to contact the customer service. I had to travel 20 miles away to get the job done. Even though I didn't use their facility not the fault of mine could not get the refund of initial sign up fee.

Great gym, but WiFi needs serious improvement.

I’ve been enjoying the facilities and overall atmosphere at this location the equipment is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. However, the WiFi is consistently poor, which makes it hard to stream workouts, listen to music, or stay connected while using fitness apps. In today’s digital world, reliable internet is a basic expectation, especially for members who rely on it for training or staying productive.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and invests in upgrading the network. It would definitely enhance the overall experience.

Me and others out front the E 9 Mile Rd Planet Fitness waiting under the rain for this stuff to open the GYM that was supposed to be open at 7am. It's always the same with this location they open late just because. No fair with the clients, there is no even a sign on the door about schedule changing or something.

This review is for my fellow van life travelers and truck drivers etc.

This Planet Fitness has the best locker room/showers of any PF I have ever been to.

If you can get here when it’s not busy you can get a proper workout in.

It is a lot smaller than other locations, and you all could have more than one crunch machine, which is why I am docking one star.

Plenty of parking for truckers, however no overnight parking!

The crowd here is also older compared to the Pace location.

I joined just about 3 weeks ago and our PF is great. Clean, great staff and new equipment. I had hip replacement, tendon reduction and then bursitis surgery, all in the same hip. After just 3 weeks of working out, I can already tell a huge improvement!

I went in today and I was having an issue with billing. Which honestly was probably my own fault I've been a little frazzled since my move back home. I work in customer service so I try to always be nice to customer service agents of any kind. however today I was still nice and polite but I was freaking out a little bit. And the girl that worked behind the counter Anna never stop smiling the whole time I freaked out. I wasn't mean to her but I freaked out. Tons of out of service machines. Tanning beds that “work” are wobbly and one requires you hold the door shut the entire time you’re in there. The mirrors on the main floor are literal funhouse mirrors making it impossible to see your form. Don’t get me started on how dirty the tanning rooms are. (I have pics somewhere) but still I continued and only asked at the front desk over and over for improvements. Until I tried to cancel my membership due to a pretty extreme health issue and was treated horribly because I can’t drive up there (literally unable to drive on drs orders). Can’t wait to get a ride up there and finally be done.

I don’t even know where to start. The biggest concern right now is that the parking lot is completely dark and no lights are one. You can barely see when you walk out and the entire lot is just planet fitness. You can easily get grabbed up or robbed. This is so dangerous.
The facility is falling apart. The equipment is broken, the area is dirty, it literally looks like they are closing down tomorrow. Never going back to this location. I don’t want to get mugged in the pitch black parking lot. Watch out if you go here.

They gave up a long time ago. Many machines are out of order, currently 2/3 bathroom sinks are out of order. Clock hasn’t been changed from daylights savings 2 weeks ago. Roof is leaking in several places they put out garbage cans to catch the water. I broke a machine and it took me 15 minutes to find a worker to tell them, it was one teenager hiding in a back room with the door closed on his phone while there are 100 people working out. The owner truly does not care about this place.

These people are licensed thieves. I cancelled my membership today, August 1st and asked for my annual charge of $55 to be refunded that just took affect as of today. But no, they can’t refund me that because they don’t feel like it and since they have access to my checking account why not help themselves to my money. Like I said, thieves. I have not gone to there gross gym in months and since you can’t cancel by phone I had to wait until I had time to go there to cancel. I cancelled on the first day of the annual fee and even though they have done nothing to earn that money they refuse to give it back.

My daughter wants to join. I am reluctant to allow this considering PFs refusal to protect biological women in the locker room. Great hours. Not enough personnel walking the floor and fixing things that go wrong. Last month one greeter spent most of her time while I was there on her phone. Haven't seen her lately. There are equipments necessary to a good workout that have gone months without being fixed. Finally the leg extension machines were fixed but there is still one equipment up front that has been out of service for about a month. The weight lifting area is too close quarters and the weight lifters get dangerously close and and actually in the safety zone of equipment being used. No employee walking thru enforcing safety. Someone could get hurt. I was almost bumped with a barbell close to my head and I was watching where I was going. There is a shoulder working equipment that is constantly in use and the general offenders sit there on there phones playing around bogarting that equipment while some of us circle the machine just waiting to snatch it up. I often have to do my workout of sequence in order to nab it. And that is when the crowd meter is at # 1. Low number of people, high number of bogarts. I love the gym and the variety of workout equipment offered. This facility seems to need a good manager who has enough employees to keep spray bottles working, paper dispensers filled and walkers on the floor to ensure safety is NUMBER ONE where there are free weight lifters. You sent me a survey via e-mail but it only asks what you want to know, not how you need to improve. Friendly greeting staff but when there was a big water spill, no one interested in cleaning it up.

This is our home gym and I’m disappointed with the lack of upkeep. My husband and I have visited 5 PF’s this year and all are a lot better. The lady’s bathroom stays dirty, the equipment always need repair. Right now, there are 3 incumbent bikes that need maintenance. And why is there still a plastic wall on the right side of the room? Members pay an annual maintenance fee. What is the fee actually paying for? Please do better.

S/N: Jaelin and Keaven are great employees. Both are ALWAYS helpful, smiling and go above and beyond to help others. I hope you appreciate these young men. They demonstrate good customer service in spite of it being a lost quality for most companies these days.

My wife and were signed up for a black card as a couple saying that i could come in as a guest but just won’t have access to the black card spa and discounts. I get dropped off by the wife and go inside, scan in and while trying to simply by a drink I’m told I need my own paid account to by anything to drink. I’m refused our paid service by this Samoan looking lady who claims it policy but it wasn’t until she saw my wife was black and even turned the screen to show me and verify (look it up on camera PF manager if I don’t believe me) her mood changed and was no longer willing to help or provide a resolution. I tried to go in to my personal app and even link our accounts and everything in my ability but she refused to help. I asked for the manager, she scrambled to say she thinks he is at lunch and wasn’t available…. How convenient. This planet fitness makes me raise an eyebrow you might need to check your staff guys. This experience I pray was an isolated one but let it happen again …. Don’t need to tell you where it’s going but it rhymes with sport.

I’ve been paying for this membership for 3+/- years now and for like the past year this location has went to the ground. Moldy building causing a 3rd of the gym to be shut off and everything crammed into the existing space. Also there were no mirrors due to the tarp wall. As of today July 16th, 2023, the ac was running on 1 out of the 4 units, tarp wall is still up, water fountain had a dirty filter, and a handlful of machines were out of order… needless to say I think I’m switching gyms as I’m still paying full price for a halfway gym…

I go early in the morning and there's a decent amount of people but not too crowded. I wish they would be finished with whatever projects they're doing so there's more space for weights. The massage beds are always broken and they're down to 1 all the time but I typically don't have to wait a super long time. With any gym you just have to adjust your workouts a bit to what's available.

Had to revise my review. Much smaller now because of the work they are doing on the building. It has been a long time now with much less room to work out. Switched to another location.

Super frustrating, that you only have ONE pair of 12 pound dumbbells. I’ve left the gym 3 different times without being able to do my trainer planned workouts at your facility because someone is hoarding the only set of dumbbells in your whole entire gym. For example, they need to do exercises with a kettlebell and then free weights will be next, we all know the 12’s only have one set and always being used, so they grab them and hold them beside their area while doing the other exercises so no one else can use them. If you had more than one pair people wouldn’t feel the need to hoard the weights.

Please clean the walls and floor of room 2 tanning table.
I have seen the same spot on wall for a month. Not sure if it’s blood or tanning lotion. Same dirty spot on floor. I have mentioned it to several staff on several occasions to no avail. Do you all have new ownership? I took photos today and I will start taking photos every day. Concerned about the sanitation.

I love planet fitness. I love everything about planet fitness. I love the hydro Message after a good workout. And they have tanning beds.

Great gym! The Nine Mile Rd. location is clean, has a friendly staff, and a good variety of equipment. The only thing I would change is the tanning beds. They are older and have burn areas.

I wanna shout out to Hannah at check in. She ALWAYS makes a point to greet me both coming in and leaving the gym everyday. Many of the others speak as well, but it's obvious they are doing it out of duty. Hannah has been most helpful in answering all of my questions I had about the different tanning lotions...on more than one occasion. She is the sweetest and a delight to chat with!! I just hate she works alone at night, but the girl never stops! She is ALWAYS cleaning or mopping!!
