I agree with all the recent reviews. You can tell Mike, the General Manager on Davis, loves his job. It carries over to his staff. They all smile and fist bump or shake your hand when you come in.

I am in the sales and service management industry too and Mike leads by example and his staff follows his lead.

The Planet Fitness on Davis is always friendly professional, inviting, and clean.

Zach and the rest of the staff are always very helpful and ensure all guests are taken care and comfortable.

I wouldn't go or feel comfortable in any other gym.

I’ve told Michael in the front desk as well as other people That there’s no hot water in the showers ever since they remodeled
I’m done complaining and I’m really not a big complainer but come on take good money and all these people wanna go out someplace to Sit in the men’s locker room, only to stand up or sit on the floor to change
The amenities were much better before they did the role model
Oh, and did I tell you that there’s no hot water there hasn’t been any hot water since I’ve done this remodel
All the girls wanna do like tonight Thursday night is give you excuses why it’s cold or if anything lukewarm and it’s not just one shower. It’s all of the showers. I’ll leave it on for five or 10 minutes, but no hope thinking that it would be get warm at least, but no, it was cold

Another planet fitness that didn’t live up to its “judgement free” slogan. I was there from 730-845am and I guess bc I was using the massage chair multiple times the staff said to me “you just don’t have anything to do on a Thursday afternoon?”

Not only is 845am far from being the afternoon but you don’t know me bro. I wouldn’t be upset about it but this is not the first time a planet fitness staff on the emerald coast has said almost this exact same thing to me.

I used to like planet fitness a lot more before they did all the upgrades. They REMOVED EVERY ARC TRAINER and there is literally not a single other arc trainer in Pensacola. If they could even just get one, I would be a lifelong member. I'm an injury prone runner, and I can hardly do the elliptical or bike because of the way it loads stress. I spend hours a day cross training when I'm injured, and even when I'm not injured, and I desperately desperately need an arc trainer. I would give it five stars if it were not for the single issue. For people who elliptical, they probably haven't discovered how great the arc trainer is and they can't unless they ever get a chance. I am begging, please please get an arc trainer. (An actual arc trainer, not a weird elliptical.) I'm probably going to end up going to crunch fitness because it's cheaper, and I don't really want to, but since there's no reason to stay at planet fitness unless they get an arc trainer I will. An arc trainer is absolutely worth paying a little extra.

Good, clean gym. Staff is pleasant and Mike the manager is great. He always greets members with a smile.
I have been to many gyms over the years and prefer a warmer gym temperature. This gym is always cold with helicopter fans blowing around the entire gym. I want to work up a sweat when I work out, but difficult when it feels like 60 degrees. I may be the minority, but would like it a little warmer.

The urinals in the mens room dont have a divider. So everytime I go to pee, some dude comes up next to me and says "nice hog" because my unit is larger than average. Its flattering but at the same time makes me feel self concious. Why cant they just add dividers? Now I'm in the handicap stall to pee and theres a guy in a wheelchair hitting the door begging me to hurry up.

Love the remodel, but the showers are cold. I have mentioned it twice now, only to be told that it "takes a while to get hot." I ran all 4 showers for over 10 minutes last time and still cold. The response I got made it seem like this is not going to get fixed. Also, when you wake up at 4:30 a.m. to work out before a long day of work, only to see a sign on the door that they are closed, it is frustrating, to say the least. The PF on Mobile Hwy is a little further out of my way, but I will be going back there any day I work out before work and want a hot shower (and to know they will actually be open). Hopefully, they get their kinks worked out soon or the entire membership is going to be gone when Crunch opens up next door.

I do like the actual gym. It's clean and the staff is nice, but giving one star for how their recent remodeling/communication to members has been handled. They did not communicate that the gym would be shutting down (I found out on a FB group), they did not communicate that the gym was open again (a check on Google and the Planet Fitness app yesterday said that the gym was finally open again), but when I drove there yesterday, it was still closed. So sick of planet fitness. They were closed for over a month and I was forced to go to 9 mile location which was overfilled each time I went and half the equipment was broken. Davis finally reopens and it’s only a paint job they closed down for. Tried to go today only to find out they’re closed due closed AGAIN. They do not communicate with club members about closures or even when they reopened. I had to call the gym just to see if they’re open. Already signed up for Crunch fitness and I can’t wait for them to open.

Update, don't let the non-planet fitness response to my review fool you. They never responded other than the auto generated comment. It goes to emails with no reply and phone number thay dont pick up. Any response to a negative comment is not from the owner. Its from a paid service. All of the pensacola PF locations are owned under the same organization.

My situation is not unique. I have had other tell me their similar stories. It's not all planet fitness, just the 3 in pensacola.

I was kicked out of planet fitness today after 3 sets of bent over rows for breathing too loudly. And was told I was grunting. Was I, I don't know. I am deaf in one ear and have extremely sever sleep apnea, so it important I keep my extra weight off. But that is not important because their assistance manager approached me as I was about to start a rep and within 30 seconds had treated to call the police. For asking what the problem with breathing was.

Mind you, I had just done some intense Cardo, so I was out of breath. And this guy is telling me to calm down or leave within 3 seconds after he told me we don't do that here?

What's that I asked. Because I really wasn't grunting or making excessive noise, slamming weights or anything. Mind you, I had shoulder surgery 4 months ago.

I've been going to planet fitness for years and am very happy with the gym and their abundance of location all over the country, because I travel for work and like to work out when I am out of town.

Zach need some serious training on how to hold a crucial conversation and not accost customers and be rude when they want to know what rules they are breaking, other than being a stero typical "lunk". What ever that means.

Is this the face of a "Manager" who is professional interaction with a customer. I was told my membership was canceled and that the police were going to be called if I didn't leave. All while being totally out of breath.

Excellent facility! Mike is the new manager and they could not have picked a better one! He leads by example and is always participating in the cleaning routine and out on the gym floor staying engaged with members instead of standing behind the counter. He also has an excellent squad working with him that is very helpful. The facility is spotless and the equipment is always in good working order and promptly repaired when out of order!

Been a member for years... Today was the first time I've been asked for ID. I Scan the QR code on my phone as usual as I have done since I started my account. I don't take my wallet or keys in to the gym. I'm just wondering why I was picked out of many and asked to identify myself. If they did this with everyone it be ok. Most of the staff at this location are pleasant and great to interact with. However, I have my first poor experience today with a younger woman at the front desk. (Septum piercing, for identification). I had a simple question about tanning beds and massage chairs, but she responded with noticeable attitude, smacking her gum and acting like she’d rather be anywhere else. Her tone and demeanor were unprofessional. That said, the rest of the staff I’ve always been great.

I love this gym but...
Please clean the fan so you can turn it on higher. 2 weeks ago it was turned up higher and it felt amazing. But there was giant balls of dust flying everywhere. I did not complain because I figured you might not turn it on high again. Last week I asked the guy working if he would please turn it up he said he would but he didn't. Then today I asked both the girls working if they would and they said they didn't know how.... That's hard to believe.
I'm pretty sure it's because it hasn't been cleaned and you don't want the dust flying around. Please clean the fan. Summer is right around the corner.

Male manager was incredibly rude and lacking knowledge when I asked how I could freeze my account. Hung up on me in the middle of the conversation.

I go to planet fitness locations all over the country, and comparably, this location is small, dirty, and even smells like a sewer when you are anywhere near the bathrooms (which is everywhere because this location is so small).

Avoid this location, the other two in Pensacola area seem like better options.

Update* Called the other Pensacola location to deal with my membership problem, and it was resolved in under 10 minutes. Skip this junk hole.

I do NOT recommend this place because of the unprofessional horrible management. The general manager, Audrey, told her employees to hang up on me, then wouldn't talk to me.

I have a signed contract stating they were to FREEZE my account starting in September, I was still charged for the three months. I was given the run around from the assistant manager, James, since he couldnt help me until they got the new general manager in (2.5 months later).

She told me to call the billing department to get a refund. Accounting said they don't take care of it, the store does. So, I have a three way call with Audrey and billing, she offers a 2 month credit even though I was charged for 3 months - then hangs up on us with no solution and leaves for 5 days. I call back again and am assured they will have her call me on Monday.

Today is Wednesday, with no word so I call, speak to TJ who assures me he'll have her call, i tell him she didnt call me back last time someone said that- so he goes to get her and I hear her say to hang up on me, so he does. I call back and she hangs up without answering - and now hangs up every time I call.

I was never offered any apologies for how I was treated or for being charged during the freeze.

Can't say enough bad things about this place. I've been here for 2 months and it's the worst gym experience ever! I come in Mon-Saturday and I NEVER see the bathrooms and showers clean. What's worse is the staff. Extremely snotty and not wanting to do anything about the problems. Again, paper towels ALWAYS need refilling the bathroom is rank with pee and toilet paper all over the floor and the showers are noticeably stained and have old bars of soap EVERY DAY. I have canceled my membership almost a year ago. They charged my card months later and they give me the run around when I ask why. Now they did it again trying to fraudulently charge my bank account for a membership I do not have anymore. This is twice now and I am getting tired of it. I am usually a fan of planet fitness. When I lived here this used to be one of the cleanest planet fitnesses around. I came in town for a training, worked out, and then went to the shower, the whole restroom area is literally disgusting and looks like it has not been cleaned in weeks. Most of the staff are friendly but the facility as a whole needs work. Locker rooms and bathrooms are typically unkept. Employees should be on one accord as far as addressing any guest account issues. “Trainer” that wears yellow, Jonathan, is extremely rude and condescending. Always snares and acts as if you are in his way when he’s doing “trainings”. Never greets people coming in or out. I’ve never felt more unwelcome in this space until he began working there. Hello! First I want to say how excited I am to be a member of a WONDERFUL FRANCHISE!✨My daughter is a 1-year member and her results are AMAZING ❤️. I was a member years ago and loved it until I started walking the track and stopped going to the gym. Now, I'm back and enjoy my free time to myself; that's the good stuff, the problem is the trainers. Why do the trainers look like they are over weight and trying to train someone? I'm confused.🤦 Is there away you can hire a more fit employee? If we are trying to build muscle, I don't think a trainer that looks like he/she eats donuts all day is a good fit. Thank you! 🦋

Driving across the Gulf Coast and it's been a few days since my last work out and shower. This Planet Fitness was not far out of the way.

Easy parking and space in the locker room to secure my stuff. A quick pass through the Thirty Minute Circuit for arms, legs, core, cardio. And then a shower with a really nice setup. A single space where I could change, keep my stuff and shower without having to put it out of my immediate space. Awesome.

The employees are amazing! Very informative about the equipment whether it's the tanning beds or the exercise equipment. They truly strive to make sure you enjoy your time in their facility! It felt as if I had known them for years and I had only been coming a month. Definitely recommend trying them! And the tanning beds are always being updated and keeping lights replaced so your tanning experience is always going to be total satisfaction! Nothing but love here!❤️

If I had a choice, I would never come back here again. The TV standing up between every piece of equipment is absolutely annoying. It’s a must as if you’re trying to force feed people to have more screen time. Ironically, as I’m walking through the gym I noticed that only Two people out of dozens have those TVs on so what a waste of electronics and resources as well. Absolutely thumbs down.

The gym also has dirty floors on a Saturday morning at 8 AM. Also boo.

It's pretty much what you'd expect from Planet Fitness, unfortunately, there seems to always be a few machines 'out of order' and frequently I find the men's locker room with no paper towels, full trash cans, and water all over the floor as if no one tends to it. But if you need a good workout they are open 24/5 (they close at night on the weekends) but I find for the membership fee it's a good place to work out.

Joined because I need a gym that's open all night long. This is not the case. Not open at night on the weekends which is the whole reason I joined. Also no scales in the gym which is absolutely ridiculous. Noone is trying to ninja around and look at your weight.

We all know Plant Fitness can get crowded. Just plan accordingly. The staff members are nice and the equipment is great. The bathrooms are usually the only problem but not bad enough to really complain
