I have been to all the pf locations in swfl. This port charlotte (murdock) location is by far the best. The cleanliness is excellent and the ac is actually cold. The staff also has the common knowledge not to vacuum under the machine as you are using it...that seems obvious, but this has happened to me at every other location. Also, when stuff breaks down, it actually gets fixed in a timely manner.

I just started at the Tamiami Trail location. In fact there was a young lady on duty my first several days that I found very pleasant and welcoming. There is exactly one of the machines I came to work on because it's kinder to my knees than most. It is broken but I can still use it. And I was happy to see that on the over 20 TVs they had 2 tuned to MSNBC. One was behind a thick pillar but I could read the other one. I was gone for a few days. Upon my return NO MSNBC. My favorite lady was not on duty. The people that were there seemed convinced that CORPORATE determined TV stations. I am convinced that I am not valued as a customer. I hope that my liberal friend that I just happened to run into at PF today does not feel the same.

I will say however it would be really considerate if management could please change the filter for the water bottle dispenser and water fountain bc the water tastes terrible and it’s been like this for months now. I had been attending Planet Fitness once a week as part of my broader MMA and conditioning training routine. On Saturdays, I would supplement my workout with a reflex ball—an extremely soft, lightweight, and harmless tool used to sharpen reaction time and coordination.

During my third visit, I was approached by a staff member and told I could not use the reflex ball because someone complained it was “dangerous.” I explained it was part of my conditioning and asked if there was a designated area where I could use it. The response I received was even more absurd—I was told I could only use it in the fitting room, essentially the changing area, which clearly makes no sense for physical training.

Given the unreasonableness of this policy and the lack of flexibility shown, I decided to cancel my membership. I was simply trying to train in a safe and non-disruptive manner, once a week, and was met with rigid and illogical restrictions.

While I understand the goal of maintaining a welcoming space, this experience left me feeling unwelcome and misunderstood.

I came in one late night and I was greeted by Kat, Indie, and Tierra. I normally don’t go that late but with me being a bigger person I was scared to go when it was busy. These wonderful ladies made me feel so welcomed and not ashamed for being new to the gym. They showed me around, showed me how some machines worked, and even gave me some great advice!

Gym and services are wonderful. Staff always polite. Problem is I cannot seem to make it there, whether it's time or motivation. I literally haven't been in six months and put off looking into canceling thinking I could find the motivation. Well, I didn't. I can't cancel online, it directs me to contact my local gym. I called. I have to go to the gym to cancel. Me not being able to go to the gym is why I want to cancel. But I have to go to the gym to cancel. Yea, that was a circle wasn't it!?! And it's still not cancelled. I usually have a fantastic experience at this location. However, this time was a bit different. My wife and I got our workout in and headed for the massage chairs. The attendant around 10:30 was practically lying on the counter. My wife went to sign us up on the computer for the massage, and we were informed that "they didn't have any." The attendant didn't seem interested in finding us a time slot, speaking in complete sentences, or asking probing questions to better serve us. I hope this gets to the right person to maintain the high energy and positive atmosphere that my wife and I enjoy.

This Planet Fitness is very clean and machines are well maintained. The stretching room is a little warm since they are no fans and no airflow but the rest of the gym stays pretty comfortable.

He helped me get my account taken care of after a bank issue the other week meant my auto payment didn't go through. Then, when the Black Card Spa check-in computer went haywire, he worked through the issue to get things going correctly.

I currently reinstated my membership, and this is my home gym. I used to attend the one on peachland, but since moving, this location is closer. The faci6is clean, it has a ton of cardio machines, a relax spa machine in black card lounge area. It is smaller than the pachland location, which makes it become very crowded. The machines are different from peachland also, but I am happy they have an actual rowing machine. All in all, I have no complaints thus far.

I go to different planet fitness locations depending on where my Job assignment is. So far, I have never had any issues here. Yes, it is busy, a lot of people come here, use the equipment, use a lot of paper towels (LIKE ME HAHA), and even their phones too. Haha. Eli or Elijah is there if you need help, and is very approachable. But so far, please do not hesitate to reach out to "MISS SAUNDRA!!!" She is The General Manager. She is Phenomenal!!! I just wished we had a bigger stretching area or a dedicated stretching area.

Like being said, I know there is one that is being built in North Port. However, I hope you guys would also build one in Englewood. Atleast, put it near the beach or if ever, put it near Dearborn St. That way it will be accessible to all of us both Charlotte County and Sarasota County Englewood Residents.

Other than that, it's a nice gym.

1825 Tamiami Trl, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 location, dont go. At 1020 am, the cleaning crew walks in. I understand it has to be cleaned, but I have two issues. Look at your peak times and clean around your customers. If you're cleaning at peak times, you're not caring about your customers. The second and most significant issue is you should not bring a female into the men's bathroom. When I asked the young man if it was expected, he said yes, and the boy and girl team always did so. He even started to tell me I was crazy and that no one ever cared. The young man even told me I like to talk. I impressed upon him how he was wrong. Yea there were two men working so this didnt have to happen. I am sure the young man was in the ladies' locker room, too. This place doesn't care about its customers. There will soon be two others within a 10-mile radius, so dont go.

I have a couple of issues about this location. A lot of the people sit on the exercise equipment and play on their phones. In addition, it's very difficult to use the 30 Minute Circuit Room because everyone is using the room for individual workout stations instead of the 30 min circuit program as it's intended for. The sign near that entrance clearly states the purpose of the room and that it's monitored by Gym employee's. It's obvious that people are not adhering to those rules and the employee's are not monitoring that room. Please help!!!

I only use the gym for the amenities now. Because every time I come, they equipment, I use somebody is always on it. So I brought my workout equipment didn't work out at home. There's been so many times that I've came to use amenities. In the computers down, the massage shares her down.Their computers aren't working, so you can't sign in. And there's people just always standing at the desk while you're standing there, waiting after signing in for them to assign you to a room and it just takes up most of the time that I have before I have to be to work. This morning, when I got there, I always usually walk straight to the locker room because I don't use the gym equipment only the amenities. I've never had to sign in to go to the locker room to come back to the front desk. The people that are at their desk. They see me on a normal basis and should know me by now. It was one embarrassing and 2. I'm not using the gym equipment, so I shouldn't have to scan my fire code for working out when I wasn't going to be working out.All I was using was the massage chair in the tanning bed. I'm just very over this gym, i'm going to start looking for somewhere else to go

Wide open, new facility. Unfortunately, machines still break and they take a long time to repair. Also, there is a current special for free memberships while kids are on summer break. Multiple kids hang out around one machine and monopolize it. There is also no respect for the 30-minute circuit room. Serious weight lifters sit on one machine in the circuit room and do 4,5,6 or 10 sets before moving. That is not the intent of the circuit room.
