I have been going to this gym for the past three months, and it’s being improving each month to a better experience — besides price, equipment and crowdedness, cleanliness is if not the biggest quality as to what I look for any gym . This gym had a bit of an issue on this factor and specially in men’s locker, but I see an improvement and quite frankly I blamed mostly the users of the facility , it’s incredible how dirty some people can be and how little care and respect to others have . I think the gym staff lags on this issue and should enforced their members to collaborate. Also regarding their schedule, I don’t agree on closing Saturday’s at 6:00pm or closed Sundays…I understand is expensive to keep a gym open but it will be nice for those of us that have weekends off ..Overall I’ll give it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ , and for those reasons I don’t give them the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! I highly recommend this gym 💪🏽 !

Not a particularly well kept gym. The treadmills are not maintained well and lot of them are out of service. Barbells are old and rusty; weights are never organized and are super dirty. Cleanliness needs a BIG step up. See the picture of this air vent for example (has it been cleaned in the last 20 years??). Lots of people here with no gym etiquette. Taking equipment for 30+ minutes and barely using it is common. Oh yeah, and there are numerous people who take videos of themselves working out for insta and TikTok. Not appropriate in this environment in my opinion and they should be told to leave. Overall this could be a great gym but it feels like whomever manages this place doesn’t put a lot of effort in. Anyway, just go to Crunch or YMCA instead. Both are cheaper and better in every way.

I really enjoyed this gym, especially under the previous management who were always so nice. Unfortunately, the cancellation process was a nightmare. Charging $82 just to cancel because they could not answer phone . I’d recommend going to another gym where you’ll find cleaner facilities, newer equipment, and a more professional staff.

I’m not sure if this is a scam or not.
But be sure to look into the previous reviews very carefully. Never give them your credit card.
They never going to cancel your membership even if you sign the cancellation paper. they continue charge your credit card.
I been there a few months and It was the worst experience ever.
Equipments are very dirty and many of them out of service.
I went there in the last time on the beginning of June and asked to canceling my membership. Then I was told by “Thomas” that it will effective by the beginning of July.
It’s never happened. My card been charged on July and August as well.
When I asked to speak with the manager over the phone for 4 days in a row He was “busy”
So I had to come there directly and spoked with him “mathias” face to face. He was super rude and refused to credit me back and for the previous 2 months.
When I left the gym I start to understand that I’m not the only one that going trough the some situations and start reading the reviews and feel guilty that I never did it before I sign in. Dont waste your time and money!!!i

Estuve por tres años yendo a este gimnasio. Tuve una fractura hace un año y me tuve que retirar para volver tuve que pagar el doble de la mensualidad que de por sí ya es alto. Extravié mi tarjeta de crédito hace días y por eso me querían cobrar además de los 42 de la mensualidad 23 dólares de multa 4 días de atraso. Considerando que no iba a empezar un nuevo ciclo de pago. My son went to Extreme Premiere Gym on Thursday morning to cancel his membership. The manager told him it would cost $20 to cancel. He said he’d come back later with the money. That evening, at 6:30 PM, my son returned to pay and complete the cancellation, but the front desk employee told him he couldn’t help because only the manager is trained and authorized to cancel memberships, and the manager was gone for the day.

My son explained that this was the last day to cancel before getting charged for the full month, but the employee simply said, “I understand, but I can’t help you. Come back tomorrow between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.” Most people work during those hours and yet there’s no way to cancel over the phone, email, or with any other staff. It’s set up to make cancellation as difficult as possible.

I called and asked to speak to the manager. The employee (Kevin) insisted he could help. I explained that only the manager has the authority to cancel, as we were told already. Instead of transferring the call, Kevin puts me on hold, speaks to the manager off the phone, and returns to relay the message while the manager continues to avoid the conversation entirely. I had no choice but to go there in person. The manager was sitting behind the desk doing nothing, and when I confronted him and told Kevin, “If someone asks to speak to the manager, take the monkey off your back and transfer the call,” the manager finally stepped in — only to say I had no right to give Kevin advice. He kicked me out and refused to speak to me, saying he would only deal with my 17-year-old son, who is still a minor.

He ended up charging my son for the full month instead of honoring the $20 cancellation fee, even though my son returned within the time frame he was given. The manager also failed to mention that he leaves at 4:30 PM and is the only one who can cancel memberships and there are no signs anywhere informing customers of this. Apparently, he only works mornings because he’s “too good” to work evenings like everyone else.

To make matters worse, I looked up the owners on Sunbiz and found out they live in Tallahassee nowhere near this gym. No wonder the manager does whatever he wants and talks to customers however he feels like. There’s no accountability because ownership isn’t even around to see what’s really going on.

This gym is a mess. You can’t cancel in person unless you catch one specific person during limited weekday hours. Every other gym I’ve been to has better systems and professional staff. The previous owners and employees were respectful, courteous, and helpful. Sadly, that’s not the case anymore.

I will definitely be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. No one should have to go through this much trouble just to cancel a gym membership.

I had a very disappointing experience with Premier Health and Fitness. Back in August, I asked them to freeze my membership due to a car accident. I clearly requested the maximum freeze period (six months) and asked them to call me before reactivating my account, since I wasn’t sure when or if I’d be able to return.

Instead, they reactivated my membership after just four months—without any notice—and started charging me the full membership fee. I only noticed the charges recently and went in to speak with them in person. I explained everything and asked for a refund for the most recent charge, especially since I haven’t used the gym and was never informed that the membership was reactivated.

They told me they had no record of my freeze request and refused to issue any refund, even though I filled out the freeze request in person and should have signed paperwork at the time.

I understand that mistakes happen, but this felt careless and unfair. At the very least, they should have refunded the latest charge, which I believe would have been a reasonable resolution.

They recently got new management and now give you a barcode to scan for easy entry. Decent gym with cardio downstairs and upstairs with some weights and machines and a squat rack. Lots of the treadmills are out of order. I wonder if they lubricate them. The top has two more squat tracks and a stretching area, as well as free weights and a sled. The gym could be much cleaner and the air vents are a bit dusty. The sauna here is a good and the bathrooms are fully equipped with showers and lockers. It's priced at 35 dollars a month and includes a registered guest. Friendly staff.

DIRTY place , ive seen a cleaner there once a week 😒. The girls at the front desk follow black women into the locker rooms because 1. They have been raised to see black people as the villians or just assume people of color are up to no good . 2. Jealousy 3. Racism is taught so they both probably learned this from their mothers'. I personally have experienced this at this gym on several occasions. I even went so far as to change my schedule around to avoid them. So I wouldn't feel uncomfortable. Ultimately, I decided why pay for a gym membership at a space that I am not welcomed in. So I canceled it. I go to equinox now. Again this is MY experience.

Reply to your comment: If the gym is as spotless as you claim, perhaps some of that membership money should go toward upgrading the cleaning package or hiring more staff—because in all my visits, morning and night, it has never looked clean. They don’t know how to accommodate or work with customer. The manager Vanessa is the rudest person I ever met in my life!
I had major life event, was outside the country and asked them to keep freeze my membership - stated that I would let them know when I would return. They kept charging me! I called many times, sent emails. They kept going through the contract I signed back then (before my trip) without understanding ans acknowledging that I was OUT OF THE COUNTRY.
They never offered to send me a freeze contract to renew..
pay a little more and get better experience and customer service. This manager lacks politeness and don’t allow you to speak - final touch: they will hang up on your face through the phone! Just CRAZY!

If you're serious about lifting weights, Premier may be the best and most affordable choice. This isn't precisely a health club so don't expect fancy amenities like sauna or aerobic classes. Just bring a water bottle, towel, and do your routine without interruptions because the gym is never crowded, even at peak times. Yes, there are issues with the credit card payment processing company but I found a way to beat them at their own game which obviously won't disclose. Let me repeat, this gym is not for everyone, but if old school iron hardcore training is what you're looking for, this place is heaven. Others don't belong here.

Joined for a few months ago as a back up gym- just didn’t use it so quit and paid the penalty fee to quit. They still charged my card next cycle (mistakenly) which they admitted however, after days, they still didn’t refund it so my card just voided out the charge on my behalf.
I went back into the club to complain and they showed me all the paperwork that the membership was closed. They had me take pictures of it because they said sometimes it could be tricky with their system and sure enough just got another call (a month later) from their charge provider saying the charge didn’t go through for this month! An absolute sloppy mess!! You should just stay away. Do not give your personal information or credit card to this gym!!
And as stated- they literally now have a collections agency after me for this! STAY AWAY!

This place is SMOL. They have a little bit of everything I guess, but literally some machines there’s only one, & a lot of their equipment is dated or broken.

I was interested in a membership but the gym isn’t impressive for what the membership offers, & the fees (rent money) they charge you isn't to par with the condition of the gym.

Yes of course you do get what you pay for but this gym has everything you need including incredible staff! The members are cool too and not annoying like some other local gyms.

I almost never post reviews in general but I used to go here almost everyday and I'm simply appalled by this place and feel the need to notify others.

There was a change in management in the gym, perhaps around 6-12 months ago. The gym wasn't fabulous before by any means, but it was still being maintained and cared for. There was an individual who would clean and put weights away and broken equipment would be fixed. It was a decent, local gym and sufficient for my needs.

Since the change in management, there has been a noticeable decline in the service and quality of the location. Nothing is ever fixed - the squat rack has been missing parts for possibly 6 months now. Machines that are broken take several months to fix, if they're ever fixed at all. Equipment is pushed into corners and weights are left laying around everywhere. The positioning of the squat racks and bench presses make it impossible to put the weights back sometimes. The janitorial staff is nonexistent. I no longer see anyone cleaning the gym or putting weights away.

Some of the staff does not even speak English. If I call the gym, they will answer in Spanish and barely understand me.

The AC has not been operational for perhaps 2 weeks now. I don't understand how a gym of all places cannot fix the air conditioner in a timely manner. As of today, the AC is still not fixed. Prior to that, the AC was working poorly for an extended period of time. On some days, it hardly blew at all. I assume they only made attempts to fix the AC after it stopped working entirely, leaving them with no choice but to pay for sorely needed maintenance.

To add insult to injury, after the new management took over, they increased their prices for all membership plans.

So not only do you get to enjoy a filthy gym, weights laying all over the place, broken equipment, and dysfunctional A/C, but you get to pay extra for it too.

Okay, time for a different perspective. Is Premier Gym perfect? No, but I have never been to a perfect gym before and this one is perfect for me. Miami and Broward are full of boutique and high-end gyms and that vibe (and price) isn't for everyone. If you are someone who doesn't go to the gym for appearances and attention and doesn't want to pay over $100 monthly just to exercise, I def encourage you to try Premier. I can comfortably go here with no makeup and dingy clothes and get the best workout every time because there is so much equipment and space. It doesn't ruin my life if a machine is broken, because there is enough other equipment to do the same exercises so many different ways. I honestly just love that I can sweat in peace without anyone bothering me, but I've also made real down-to-earth gym friends here too. I know everybody is different, but this is how I like my gym experience. I'm not in the "looking for my husband at the gym" club, I'm in the "if you're not drenched and dirty, you didn't work out hard enough," club. Hope this helps if you wanted to try this place out!

This is hands down the ghettoest gym in the area. I train here regularly because it’s the closest gym to my house but if you can make it to Olympia or any other gym you’re probably better off. Management has changed a few times since I joined and they keep getting worse.

Machines are regularly broken and take months to get fixed, the AC has been broken this week so it feels like you’re working out in a sauna, of course, zero notification of this issue was given. It’s super clear management/ownership doesn’t care at all about this place and it’s just a cash cow at this point.

All of the more recent negative comments are absolutely accurate. The post by Electric Surge especially. The pictures are also accurate and although 4 months old, still in the same condition, the bathrooms are in disarray and although they have fixed some of the broken machines, there are still several with issues.

Sinceramente no suelo hacer esto pero la situación lo ameritaba. En este último mes, mi cuota no fue solamente los 50 dólares (que anteriormente ya me habían obligado a cambiar de plan) si no que me hicieron un recargo de 73 dólares. Ellos se justificaron con que era un problema de mi cuenta, algo muy poco creíble ya que yo utilizo esa tarjeta todos los días. I am not sure how to get in hold of you so this I hope will bring your attention to how I was treated in your club today. As in some of other reviews I read, I have a canceled my membership on February 20th of this year, I was also told by Thomas at front desk, I should not be charged again and I should hold onto my receipt so I can prove that. Today I accrued another $73 charge past due that was applied to my account after my cancellation, I came to dispute discharge with my receipt in hand, and a person that worked on desk, I believe name was Lissette or something to that effect was absolutely the most horrible customer service experience in my life. I left there shaking. She was rude kept interrupting me, would not let me explain what I came here for tapping on my phone demanding to see my bank statement as proof that I’ve paid all my past due fees. Would not look at the receipt that I have with the timestamp of my cancellation and all the fees being paid for. I only wanted to know why am I being charged again after canceling the membership not to have someone keep talking over me, raising her voice, tapping my personal cell phone with her fingers and demanding to see my bank statements. This is very sad because I had a very good experience in this club for my every morning workout. I hope you will address this issue with your employee she worked today March 12, 2024, around 11 AM thank you. ZERO stars if that were an option. I froze membership back in August due to back issues. Went to cancel in November and apparently the guy at the front desk just froze it again which makes NO sense and I didn't know til I got charged again 4 months later. Same day I called and NO REFUND... WHAT ????? I have not used your gym since August and you won't give me my money back???? Apart from the terrible customer service I got regarding this... STAY AWAY!

I want to make it perfectly clear, a lot of these reviews are fake and doctored to make it seem like this gym is a good place. The honest truth is this gym should be the last place you should go to workout. This gym was made for someone that needs to workout for one day on vacation. It all started going downhill since the change in management. They fired all the previous staff, who barely kept the gym afloat and now hired new people, who barely know how to run a gym, let alone workout in one. The management can hardly do the basics such as keep soap to wash your hands. Instead of getting new soap or refills, they fill up the soap containers with water. The filth in the gym is so bad, you desperately need to wash your hands, they’ll be covered in rust and dust by the end of your workout - just look at the pictures. The workout machines are dated and improperly placed; they aren’t even nailed to the floor, so you run the risk of dipping over. You can see in one of the pictures that they used a fold of paper towel to keep the bench steady, a severe risk right there. Even during one of my workouts, they had children running around on the second floor. This gym needs to get its act together or it will for sure close, cause it’s not worth the money nor time to be in there.

I cancelled my membership and signed a cancellation form then I was told I wouldn't be charged again. This is what the young kid at the desk told me, he lied and I got charged again. No apologies or anything, just an "oh well" and "why did you cancel" then find out they didn't cancel it. It's a clown house. The service is horrible and it's overpriced.

I've been training for 6 years now and this is the best gym I ever trained in, it's not just the machines that are great, people there are amazing. Don't hesitate and come here to train.
I wanna mention the manager Jahaira, Berni, Kevin and Ricardo, these people are the very best!.

This is the absolutely perfect gym for me. Staff is extremely friendly and down to earth. The environment is ideal for fitness and staying in shape. My girl does dance classes and other aerobics while I lift my weights. Gives me great balance in my relationship and gym life.

The gym charges $73 for the first time, which they don't warn you about it. Supposedly it was 50. When I wanted to cancel it, (29 days before they charged me the second payment) they told me they would charge me one more month. So my one-month trial at this gym cost me $123. It seemed like a scam to me. If you are going to try the gym, do not pay. The boy with curlers, who is at the entrance, didn't give me much help either, knowing that me and my friends were unhappy about the unfair payment.

They fix equipment faster than any other gym I've been to. Nice people work here, good variety of equipment and with two stories there's good use of space. The entrance of the building easily floods, and there's only one entrance, but that's the only pain. Haven't used the sauna

This gym is easily my favorite gym in all of Hallandale, the staff are all very nice and are very easy warm and comfortable to talk to.
The gym itself is very clean and has every machine you would need, it is very well held up and everything is very new looking and works great.
There is also a wide selection of beverages at very good prices and they have protein bars that are really good.
I also got an amazing trainer that the general manager recommended to me, his name is Ian I appreciate him and he has showed me working out in a whole new manner.
The manager really should go on vacation I see her everyday working, she works a bit too much

First off, they call it a “local gym” even when they advertise outside of what they call “local”, I got a free trial pass from their website and when I showed my id they told me I wasn’t a local because I lived 6 miles away, their fee is $37.99 + tax + $50 enrollment fee, people at the frontdesk don’t wanna help you out when your intentions is to check the gym wether you like it or not, when you go in you do not feel the vibe because they wanna rip you off from the beginning.

At first I was a bit hesitant with the reviews since I just moved to the area. Honestly this gym is pretty legit, it has the stuff you need to work, has room upstairs to do My hiit training and the main machines I need to get my workout done. Staff so far has been nice so I would suggest to come check it out, so far I have no complaints. I come do my work out and I’m out.

I was so excited to try this gym out, but my excitement literally lasted a minute thanks to the poor customer service received by Carlos, terrible first impressions, and lack of transparency on their website. It clearly states you must be a local Floridian, after having showed my license which states im 30 miles away from the gym I was not allowed in because I’m not a “local” and basically was told by the security, (which shouldn’t have gotten to that point that she “would let me stay” I don’t need a security to let me stay anywhere like if she was doing me a favor. Lol I work in the area, so I never thought it would be such an issue to check this gym out. Worst gym experience to date. Complete waste of time and gas. Please update your website to include “local Hallandale/Aventura residents only” and tell them that if their license states an adress x miles away to not expect a free pass, and not bother show up. Also, Carlos customer service on the phone was excellent, once I got to the gym the security guard basically barged in the conversation. I was not screaming or threatening nor raising my voice. The whole situation was handled very poorly, starting from the lack of clarity of “FL locals” to the escalation of me talking to the security guard. A gym like this doesn’t deserve my business, I’ll go elsewhere where I will feel welcomed.
