One of only six resorts to receive Golf Digest's "2018 BEST GOLF RESORTS IN FLORIDA", playing at Reunion Resort Golf Course is definitely something to add to your bucket list! Golf at Reunion is unlike anywhere else in the world. In fact, it’s the only place where you will find Signature Design courses by three of golf’s greatest legends: Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer.

WORST GOLF EXPERIENCE EVER!!
Played the Palmer course on Nov 22nd, and it took us nearly 3 hours on the front 9.
Went to the pro shop after the front 9 to see if they can do anything about the pace of play, and the response I got was: “ I mean you can hit the range if you want.”
Absolutely ridiculous, if you don’t want to wait on the Tee box for 15 minutes every hole, do not come to this golf course. DO NOT COME TO THIS GOLF COURSE!

Avery was amazing, she kept my buddy calm when he lost his keys. Navigating the flow of the carts and golf bags…keeping her cool and being completely professional about it all. Thank you very much!!!

Ok golf experience but not great and not worth the amount paid. We have played all three courses and had a similar experience.
The whole experience is just a little rough around the edges. The course conditions are just average considering it’s a Florida golf course.
The Marshall’s were ever present and didn’t mind driving their loud gas carts by as you were on the green. We played in 3:45 but could have been 45 minutes quicker if the group in front of us were asked to let us thru.
No food on the course and the beverage cart was “sold out of all the sandwich’s and candy bars”…but did have one kind bar we could buy.

Played the Watson and Palmer course. Overall, very enjoyable. Staff was friendly. Pace of play was good. Although both courses were in good condition, the Palmer course was the better of the two condition-wise. Really only two negative points. First, the range was an awful mess with how they had it roped the day I was there. The range itself is large, but the roped section they had us in was mostly old divots and sand. Secondly, the GPS systems they use is akin to having an iPad mini suffering from screen burnout strapped to the cart. Would have expected more in both of those areas, but it wouldn’t prevent me from playing again in the future.

Finally got to play the Palmer course at Reunion. Liked the course layout that really requires careful shot selection, but fairway condition was subpar, i.e., thin grass and bare spots, giving appearance of neglected proper maintenance. Thus sadly disappointed.

Watson and Palmer courses were in nearly immaculate shape! The courses suffered some storms a few days before my playing, however besides a few waste bunkers that were more mud then sand, the courses played fantastic! Palmer has a little water and some forced carry tee shots. Watson uses precisely placed bunkers, elevation changes, and narrow undulating fairways to give very few flat shots to put your game to the test. Keep it around the fairwa and greens or you'll struggle to make a good score. Worth the trip! Hope to have the chance to play here again someday!

Definite Palmer design. If you're game is on you can score very well. If it's a normal day, not quite as sharp then you have to place shots on the fairway, distance and placement.
Visually stunning on several holes, maybe 8 of the 18 have different visuals.
Conditions are great and yardages and layout are good but I wouldn't play again just becasue they are way too many other options are better price tags. You are paying for the name. Good course. Others are just as good for lower pricing.

Played a 5.5 hour round on the Watson course the other day. Waited on pretty much every shot. When we were making the turn the ranger would allow only one of us to get something to eat for the group because of the pace of play. Maybe the ranger should have been on the course doing his job! Fairways were in rough shape with brown patches all over the place. For the money it was a tremendous disappointment!
Next day we played Orange County which was much better shape and it moved along well at half the price.

Went to the golf shop to find me a nice reunion t-shirt spent $35 like 3 weeks ago I wore it one time I washed it it's a very light material so I wouldn't throw it in the dryer I don't do that to my light t-shirts and I hung it up and I realized it's stained yellow underarms I'm not saying it didn't come from the underarm deodorant but I mean I use expensive underarm deodorant it ain't some cheap stuff I wear plenty and expensive golf shirts and never seen anything like this happen the young lady she looked at me like I was crazy for trying to return it told me she couldn't accept the return because I wore it and washed I just purchased 3 weeks on the receipt very dissatisfied with the service and the way she treated me like it's something that I was to blame for when all I was trying to explain is it must be poor material you don't expect that to happen from a good quality golf shop item and then she said such a dumb thing she said maybe you can dye it black well if I dye it black you won't be able to see the reunion on the front of it any longer just be very careful when you purchase any of the shirts or any items out of there because they're not of the quality you would assume that you're paying when you buy it from a golf shop I don't know who the vendors are that provide their shirts but they're very poor quality for the money you're paying you'll be like me you might be lucky if you get to wear it once I wouldn't wear it again it's got yellow stains under the arm Tim S

Review for the Palmer course - layout was decent (good variety - no 2 holes were the same). Conditions (except for the greens, they rolled fast and true) were lacking imho. For a $200+ round of golf - few too many bare patches on the fairways. Range was well maintained. Expected a bit more for the price tbh.

Keep in mind this review is based on a $250 per round greens fee. We had a group of 8 and played all 3 courses. In general terms i'd say all 3 are VERY challenging in their own unique ways and at times can be everything from fun and rewarding to unfair and highly frustrating. Condition of courses was very good. Greens on all 3 are extremely quick and as a result be prepared for lots of 3 putts. Between green speeds and numerous blind shots (requiring a lot of back and forth in the cart) makes for a minimum 5 hr round and lenghty back ups throughout the round. Staff in pro shop, bag drop and starters were all a pleasure to deal with. No other way to put it but the carts are terrible (old, bald tires, grabby brakes, broken coolers etc..). Not acceptable for a $75-$100 course and definetely not for $250. Having sandwiches available from the cart girls would have been nice as you don't pass the clubhouse making the turn on the Palmer and Watson courses. Rented a house in the neighborhood and highly recommend as traffic outside Reunion can be brutal. Glad i played there but wouldn't hurry back.

What a complete embarassment of an extablishment. I would never recommend to anyone to do a stay and play here. After careful research and consideration, we booked a 4 person stay and play for 1 night and 1 round on the Palmer course. We carefully picked this course and made a reservation on the phone (all of us travelled very far to play). They confirmed the room and golf booking for Palmer. An email was sent with the room booking. I checked in a few weeks before coming just to be sure the tee time was correct and we were good. The agent at the pro shop informed me that they, in fact, did not book our group for the date. Error #1. Then they confirmed over the phone AND by email we were booked for the Palmer course (I have the email confirmation from the golf manager).
The day we came to play, the second starter informed us we were playing the watson course (which is far more difficult). This was super confusing, and we said that we booked Palmer (the entire reason we went there). He basically said we had to play watson because that's what was on his sheet. So, we played watson due to time constraints. 2 of our 4 stopped at hole 13 because the course was so difficult for their level and not enjoyable.
After the round, I went into the pro shop and engaged someone at the desk. I explained the situation and they were extremely rude and insisted that WE booked the watson course. Not the case. They dismissed everything I said, and blamed us for making the wrong booking: Error #2. Even after I showed him the confirmation email from Alan, he insisted that Alan "Just wrote it wrong in the email, but I (myself) booked watson". NOT THE CASE. Zero admission of fault. Zero customer service. Zero care that our entire trip was based around playing the Palmer course and they wouldn't admit their (repeated) mistakes.
I emailed the golf manager again, and his frist response was very similar tone to the pro shop agent. His second attempt was along the lines of "Next time you come, we'll make sure you can play the Palmer". No thanks! I would never want to return to this place ever again. Not after that experience. How am I supposed to trust that anyone can do their job after having them drop the ball repeatedly and then blame us?
Also, the villa we had was super dated, and possibly had bedbugs when we instpected the master bedroom after waking up with red marks on our legs. The master bedroom's bathroom door was locked from the inside when we got there. Just little things, but the worst experience was how were were treated by the pro shop staff. What a joke. I've never experienced a worse stay anywhere in my 20 years of travel.

The courses are generally good with excellent putting surfaces. Unfortunately, today’s round was soured before we teed off. The attitude of the staff in the pro shop stank. Very unhelpful with an air of ‘we are always correct’. The director of golf wasn’t much better, and offered a pretty insincere apology. This wasn’t a great advert for this place. It certainly doesn’t represent the normal standard of American customer service. Poor.

I took 2 stars off because they ran out of functioning golf karts. I heard that several broke down and ran out of juice while on the course. That is not what I expect from a beautiful facility like Reunion. The courses were super busy and they didn’t have Marshall’s to keep people moving. If it’s that busy, sorry. You have to play best ball and get a move on. No mulligans and certainly move faster. This is a resort level facility with a 4 diamond rating for their hotel. I have to say the hotel is top notch. I’ll be giving them 5 stars for the hotel and other facilities.
We played on the Arnold Palmer course and Mr. Palmer would not be happy to see the conditions of the course. They said it was in great condition. I could dig up the grass with the slightest graze of my irons. Perhaps that’s just the Florida grass as this was my first time playing in this State. I wouldn’t know better. The water hazards had several that are dried up. If it’s water you’re trying to conserve than change them into viable sand bunkers. Instead they were half and half. Water hazard size sand bunkers.
Still, I can’t say it was a bad time. It’s a resort after all. That’s why they get 3 stars and not any less.

Charged $43 for my 7yr old to tag along. He hits off every tee and from the fairway where my ball is. He's 7. I take him all.over Orlando to play, when I do, and no one charges...ever. $43 for a 7 yr old to "play", Reunion mgmt should be ashamed of themselves. And this wasn't about a busy tee sheet. Reunion stated they keep a course closed every week because they don't have enough play to keep all courses open. This was an 11am tee time so not exactly the peak of primetime either, the course was far from busy. My group was only a twosome.

Second stay at this resort. We rented a 3-Bedroom Villa for a business trip. We played 2.5 rounds of golf while staying here, used the pools, and dined on property. We all enjoyed ourselves and the service. The only minor issue I had is the price of golf. The courses are nice but not nice enough to charge $200/round in my opinion. It was a great stay nonetheless.

Great course. I took some lessons from Alan at the pro shop. He’s a great instructor with a easily understandable teaching process. He’s very encouraging and his approach is very systematic into a complete process through steps that all work together. I’ve played this course every year with my father in law. This year this was the only course open and of course was the first year we wanted to try the other courses. The temporary closure of the other courses is understandable due to the amount of maintenance and sanitizing they have to do to all the equipment and facilities for safety. They do a great job and all courses still look top notch.

I stayed at this resort 02/10-02/14/2020. The room and the resort was nothing like the pictures that was shown online while booking with Vacatia. I went to there main building for check-in & was told that they don’t have room for me in this main building but I have to go to their other building which is in villas. I stayed at whisper way & the service was nothing like I had expected. I called the main office after checking in & spoke with Jose (manager) to see if I can go into another room or can be complimented by something else. Jose told me there is nothing he can do but he will talk to his director call me back which he NEVER did. I have stayed at cheaper resorts and got way better service then this one. Overly priced.

I played the Nicklaus Course and while the design of the course was very nice the care of the course was sub-par ! Every Green and Tee had poor care from what would be expected! Also the driving range had players hitting off mats instead of grass . When making the turn I had to wait much to long for what they reffered to as a express Brat and it was under-cooked! There are plenty of other better choices for golf in Orlando area for the price charged.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The service is first rate. Everyone calls you by name without fail. The sushi bar in the lobby is excellent with some very creative combinations....try the seaweed!!! The Rooftop steakhouse was one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. The service and the pace of the meal was perfect --all accompanied by a spectacular view. The golf courses were all fun, challenging and beautifully maintained. I was solo for my visit but it sounds like the list of kid-friendly activities is endless. I can't wait to bring my son here at some point. I will absolutely be back... Maybe an annual visit after my great experience. At under $200/night (at least at this time of year-November) for a 2 bedroom suite with 2 full baths and a full kitchen, dining room and balcony-- the value was incredible.

Really good golf course, fun to play, and kind of forgiving with wide fairways and large greens. We played the Watson and the condition was good with greens rolling very quick and true. I heard the Watson has some 170'ish traps and many of the fairways bunkers have raised lips so best to avoid those. Because of elevation changes, raised tees & greens, and all the sand, some of the views down the fairways are fantastic. If you get a chance, play it for sure, you'll enjoy it.

I have been here many times this time the pool area was dirty green slim on the ropes at the children area, green slim on the area that you walk to get on the slides. I have never had it like this before.
The room had the pul out couch open when we got there, the sheets looked messed up and the wad hair in the sheets, were heard to ask for new ones and re make the bed.
No dish soap in the kitchen were could not wash out any glasses to use.
The soap in the bath room was very good along with the shampoo.
We're did not know they don't clean between the days you are there so lay your towel out to dry.
We are going back for one more try since I already bought the groupon. Hope it is back to the same place it was before, we loved it then.

Reunion Resort (Legacy course by Arnold Palmer) rated 4-1/2 stars:
The Arnold Palmer designed Legacy course is one of three superb layouts at the Reunion Resort. Sharing its clubhouse with the Independence course (alongside the Reunion Grande hotel), this stylish golf course contains many roller-coaster holes with sizable elevation changes - up to 50 feet in places – creating something different from the flatter Florida norm.

Resort is beautiful, great staff. We stayed at the villas North and the rooms did not reach our expectations. The beds were hard, dryer and washer were loud and slow. Also the Televisions sucked. I was in a party of five, all adults, therefore water park wasn't that fun, everything was .5 or 1 mile away and you had to use a shuttle just to get back to your room from the hot tub. All in all it was a good stay but I don't think my family will come back here.

Staff are wonderful! This resort exceeded my expectations as far as service and comfort during hurricane Irma. I would recommend this place to anyone that want the comfort of home and expect quality service. Thank you Reunion Resort for a wonderful stay.

Lobby is missing complementary coffee, tea, or water. It is also missing a ladies boutique so no shopping. Restaurant 11 is ok but has limited food choices.

Dinner at the Eleven restaurant was just amazing! The view of the sunset was breathtaking and the Disney fireworks at 9pm just tops off the evening perfectly. Wish I could post videos instead.

This hotel has bed bugs! ALOT of them, and Valeska Morillo the on site manager is aware of this situation and is very defensive when told about it. Paid over $200/night to get my children's bodies full of bed bug bites and myself. Unless you want BED BUGS stay away!

Our group found the resort nice but not necessarily great. The villa we rented required a fair amount of followup regarding its upkeep, e.g., every room required light bulbs to be replaced as at least 2 were blown in each room. The game room was well equipped but the games were inoperable for the most part as they lacked controllers and or operating directions. Seems a small thing, yes, but indicative of the overall surroundings. Ants were everywhere in the pool area....they were treated but we were told it would take a week or so for final resolution. Not doing us much good. There were numerous weeds growing up in between the stone surrounding the pool. So, as regards the house.....almost everything that we observed to be problematic was preventable with some attention to detail. If you're going to charge high end pricing you should be doing preventative maintenance. We played the Nicklaus course.....a first class layout whose upkeep was marginal and the clubhouse is a tent on a dirt lot after 11 years of operation. The cost to play was $185 per person. This is way over the top.....not for the course necessarily but for the package presented we would rate it very poor value. Administration and support staff were fine throughout. Helpful and pleasant.
Overall, the management has provided numerous amenities at the resort while at each turn there is a membership fee and additional charge for the use of that amenity. The charges are steep and the amenity itself, though good, is short of the higher end price being charged. From our perspective, your $ can be better spent for higher value return. The resort seems more intent on selling real estate than on providing a full value experience for the vacationer who is visiting. Their choice but one that makes us not recommend the resort and suggesting a vacationer seek better value elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars I would, today is our last night here and since the first day we had the worst service. First, we checked in at about 10pm and they sent us to the wrong villas after driving around for 30min late at night. we returned to the main lobby to find out they give us the worng map. When we finally got our room we called in for extra sheet and the wifi password they told me they would send the sheets over (never came) and that there was no wifi password. After trying to connect to the wifi we called again to get the password and no one answered the phone. We eventually gave up. The cherry on top was abot 10min ago when we came back the doors would not open, we went to the lobby and they said we requested to move villas they mentioned we spoke toa Maria(This never happened) so we were locked out at 11pm in the cold weather. When I complained to the manager Jose it seems he didn't take us seriously he said there was a mistake gave us the new keys and didn't even apologize. We will not be coming back. You guys just lost 7 customers and our families.

I played the Nicklaus and the Watson courses. Both are well maintained and challenging courses. They are not the most scenic courses, but they are fun to play, and everyone working the grounds are very professional. The staff makes the pricing of the rounds worth it. The front nine on the Nicklaus course is one of the more challenging 9 holes I've ever played. One thing the courses are in need of is a more official locker room. Our party of 8 was planning to leave after our last round and past checkout, but there's no place for players to shower, so we had to drive on to our next destination without a cleanup. This is a good all-in-one resort.
