Our daughter loves this place. It’s her second year of training.
Her coaches are professional, friendly and supportive.
She also loves the Open Gym on Fridays - great opportunity for parents to have some free time while kids are having fun and playing in the gym.

My daughter has been attending Riptides for the last 4 years, since she was 4 years old.
They have been amazing through every stage, from Beginner to being on a Competition team.
The coaches are all wonderful!! Can't recommend them enough.

My daughter started doing private lessons with Coach Angelina 3 weeks ago and has drastically improved with her tumbling skills in such a short time. She has confidence and much less fear. She’s thriving here thanks to her coach’s patient and skillful approach. I’m so excited for her to continue to develop her tumbling skills to be a more confident cheerleader!

My older daughter loved it here when she went here from July or Aug of 2023 - April or May of 2024
She was in the pre gym class for kids 3-4 years old & LOVED her coach. At the time, I had a baby growing into a toddler so the older she got, the harder it was to attend practice with a perfectly behaved baby. There were a few times when one of the coaches son (whom attended the gym or was just there because she had no one else to watch him -i don't know) would run into my youngest daughter & knock her down. There is a VERY small section for parents/caregivers to sit so it was bound to happen but there were maybe 3 times i can recall the mother making her son apologize when/if she noticed it. But the seating area annoyed me & the fact that there was no barrier other than a rope to separate the waiting area and gym floor just made me feel a certain way. Then there was a smell that would make my me feel nauseous almost every time i went in there. It was like a teenagers room full of gym bags filled with dirty socks & shoes mixed with well water smell.
Unfortunately, I pulled my daughter out & put her in another gym that she loves just as much or even more. My last straw for pulling her out was an encounter with a coach that I never felt the need to address because I truly felt like I would've gone off on her & she showed herself to me.
My 1 year old was having a tantrum for maybe 1-2 minutes max and the coach (whom her son was usually there) was speaking with a parent 1 or 2 seats away. Babies & toddlers throw tantrums. The coach then turned to me and in such a passive aggressive way in front of ALL the other parents told me that my daughter crying would cause the girls in the gym to get hurt and I needed to make her stop (as if there is a turn off button) before i make the girls get an injury. Most of the time if my child is crying I walk her around, nurse her, or go outside & wait. It did not happen often at all but there were times it did & I would handle the situation. This was not one of those momments because I am familiar with her cries. As a sahm who is fed up & had a HARD day that just about set me off & I had to really keep my composure. The baby stopped crying about 30 seconds later & then 5-10min later another child was doing the same thing. She said NOTHING to that parent and that was my sign to find another gym that was more family/kid friendly, had a barrier to prevent accidents or access to the gym floor. I do not need to be shamed by another person (especially another Mom) for having a child that has little big feelings at unexpected times.

Had our trial today for my almost 3 year old in the 3-4’s class and the coach is wonderful. They have been communicative, flexible, and the front staff and everyone who has emailed me information has just been such a pleasure to work with. They’re working with me to help determine if my little is developmentally ready and are great at communicating concerns and plans. I love that the parent area allows me to see and hear the coach interact with my little. The coach was able to completely wash away my little one’s fear of not having me right next to her with her bright smile and cheerful attitude. The facility is nice and all the kids looked happy and excited to be there.

My girls were going to a different gymnastics place for a few months and it was a huge let down. After blatant bullying, I decided to call riptide and see prices and days for classes. Went for the first time today and my girls had more guidance in the hour and a half class they had tonight than they did in months at the other gym. The coach to student ratio is amazing (there were about 8 kids and 2 coaches in each level). The coaches were friendly and knowledgeable. They not only knew the skills but were great at communicating with the kids to teach them to perform properly. The gym was clean and the atmosphere was friendly. Unlike other gyms the phone is always answered and everyone I spoke to was super helpful. I am incredibly happy with my choice to switch and would suggest this gymnastics place to anyone looking for a place for their kids to grow in their skills.

Coach James is amazing! We are visiting from Pittsburgh and made just a couple sessions to work on back handspring. My daughter got it less than halfway through the first session! We added a couple more sessions and she is making so much progress. Encouraging, safe, and focused on form and skill progression. Thanks, Coach James!

Our daughter has been participating in Riptide Gymnastics for the past 6 years. They have a fun, laid back style of teaching with a diverse team of excellent coaches to make sure all the bases are covered, from fun, to conditioning, to disciplines. The girls on team really learn mastery over each skill before they move on which seems to dramatically reduce the incidence of injury. The pricing is reasonable too. I appreciate the loyalty and stability of the coaching staff. There is relatively no drama and it's just a great place for your kids to be involved in something special.

Riptides is such a great place for any young gymnast to either start or continue their gymnastics career. The staff is so kind and experienced and it shows how much they want all the kids to succeed. It’s affordable, they have plenty of options for classes throughout the week and offer private lessons at a reasonable rate. All of my girls really enjoy their open gym every Friday night as well!!

The most unique gymnastics and cheer center around with amazing and talented instructors. Offers everything from open gym times (on Friday evenings but also during the week for homeschoolers) to competitive gymnastics and cheer. It's a very inviting place!

We came from a different gym and my daughter is on team and this was THE BEST move for her. She has grown, become more confident and they also believe kids should be kids and that they need a life outside of the gym!! We couldn’t be more happy!! She’s excited to bring her sister with her to homeschool gym also!!!

Disappointed ! Our 3 year old daughter attended 3 classes. her 3rd class she was having issues focusing and we had to have a talk with her to listen and do what the coach asks ( she's 3 years old not sure what they expect) she went back to the class and did well. We got home to a message saying that our daughter wasn't welcome in the classes anymore because she didn't listen. We attended all of her classes watched her and thought she was doing well. We feel this wasn't handled the right way and to kick her out with no warning was wrong !
They clearly need to learn more patience especially when they are dealing with toddlers ! I wouldn't recommend this place for your child !

Super disappointed with how my 3 year old daughter was treated after only 3 classes.
I received a text from coach James basically telling me my child wasn’t welcome to be apart of their toddler class. I watched my daughter in the class every time and she did great there was 1 instance where the coach asked me to speak to my daughter and I took my 3 year old daughter aside and explained to her that she had to listen to the teacher. My daughter went back into the class and listened the entire rest of the class. I am extremely disappointed with how my daughter had been treated this is a snooty club I would not recommend if your looking to enrol your toddler in any type of gymnastics class they do not know how to coach toddlers or put in any type of effort. Do not recommend.
** My reply to coach James accusing my child of being completely disruptive in his reply that is not true at all my daughter did amazing in the 3 classes she took part of as I noted above she listened very well there was only 1 instance where she had to be spoken to and she was corrected and then went back out joined the class and listened the entire rest of the class. My daughter was not disruptive I watched all of the classes not once did I witness her being extremely disruptive as coach James states. It seems not only does the coach blame the child for their lack of patience with the toddler class but it seems they don’t take responsibility for their actions either**

The facility itself is ok. The staff need to pay more attention during open gym. Far too many instances of blatant rule-breaking and mean-spirited children not being watched by a parent. I don’t typically speak to other people’s kids, but I had to on a few occasions since no one seemed to be supervising.

Brought my two and four year olds for the 5 and under homeschool open gym, but unfortunately there were some much older kids and I watched one of them bounce my two year old right off the end of the trampoline runway they have, quite intentionally. My understanding was that the five and under playtime would be about an hour long but unfortunately it didn’t even last half an hour. I was not the only parent with younger children that was put off by this. My kids did enjoy themselves, but sadly the five and under playtime wasn’t enforced and older kids were not supervised.

Probably shouldn't advertise your busniess on personal vehicles if you cant operate them safely.
Today I saw a blue Jeep with a tire cover that informed me of your business, and yes I made sure I had the right place before posting.
This driver was driving erratically, between swerving across lanes while going over 85 on the interstate from far left to far right to going 70 in the left lane for over 10 miles, no car in front of them, causing traffic to get congested because they were looking at their phone.
There are lives at stake when you're on the road. If this is the owner you should be ashamed. If this isnt the owner, you need to take the tire cover off of that vehicle that's advertising your company because it's making your company look bad. It's definately you or an employee.
