After a traumatic medical emergency left me sedentary for years, I finally had my Phoenix moment and started rebuilding my health.

I was nervous to try weightlifting, but St. Pete Strength Club blew me away. The trainers are top-notch, kind, encouraging, and tuned into exactly where you’re at. What also makes this place truly special is the culture: everyone in class is at a different level, yet the support is universal. I’ve never once felt embarrassed that I’m lifting a Q-tip while others are lifting so much more, because everyone celebrates each other’s wins.

I also love that I’m not just a number. The small group classes are perfect, they give the elite trainers the chance to focus on each of us, making sure we’re lifting properly and moving safely.

This isn’t just a strength club. It’s a community, and it’s pure magic. Highly recommend!

I am on month 2 of doing 2x a week small group classes with St. Pete Strength Club and I am really enjoying it. I can notice additional mobility and overall strength improvements even in 2 months. All of the coaches at the gym are knowledgeable, personable and seem to genuinely care about helping you improve. What I was not expecting was how warm and welcoming the class environment is. Every member seems to want to help each other succeed and motivate you to do your best - PR or not. Give this place a try if you want an inclusive but kick ass workout.

I can’t recommend this gym enough. The community is incredibly welcoming and supportive, and it feels like the exact opposite of the intimidating “typical” gym experience. Class sizes are small (never more than six people), which means you get a lot of personalized attention and coaching - it almost feels like having a personal trainer every time. The environment is safe, friendly, and focused on helping everyone progress at their own pace. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel comfortable, encouraged, and part of a genuine community, this is it.

The St. Pete Strength Club is hands down the best gym I've ever attended! The owner Jordan is a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise - she programs each phase of workouts using science, builds upon what we've done in the prior phase, and explains the methods and purpose at the start of each new phase. You will never flounder around, feeling like you aren't building towards something. All the coaches are positive, encouraging, helpful, and push you to keep pushing yourself in a way that meets you where you are. You'll never feel less-than or intimidated in this gym - the members and coaches that make up this community are incredible and welcoming to all. If you're an experienced lifter or have never lifted a weight in your life, you belong here. Circuit classes give you more cardio conditioning opportunities and the weekly Yoga classes help with recovery - all in the name of getting holistically stronger every day.

2025 UPDATE: I've now taken 220 classes at St. Pete Strength Club. I can say with confidence that this gym has improved my quality of life in so many ways- from mental and physical health to self-confidence to the great friends I've made. At 46, I'm the strongest I've ever been and I know I'm going to continue to improve thanks to the programming and support we get from Coach Jordan! /// Previous review: With over 150 classes under my belt, I am even more enthusiastic about giving SPSC 5 stars! Strength training is life! Exactly the kind of gym I want to be a part of. Small group classes with coaches that make sure you understand what you're supposed to do & give feedback on your form. Workouts are fun and dynamic. The other members are friendly and it's a mix of some men and mostly women, different ages and body types. I don't feel judged or out of place as a middle aged woman who isn't in peak physical shape. I know my mental and physical health both benefit from these classes. I cannot speak highly enough about St. Pete Strength Club. I initially started with Jordan to help with knee strength. As a runner, my slippery right knee had me freaked out, and I decided it was time to get with a professional to train safely. Jordan walked me through strengthening exercises, explaining the science behind why my body was shaking and I was getting nervous, which worked incredibly for my confidence and understanding.

After a few months of one-on-one training, I began going to group classes, and now, months later, they are the highlight of my week. One of the Club's recent IG posts stated something along the lines of how members come for strength training and stay for the community. I could not agree more. As I told the trainer, Linnea, even on my worst days, I want to come to the Club because it is a genuinely caring place where I can prove to myself that I can do hard things.

I was having such a hard time getting into a fitness routine and was struggling with back pain due to scoliosis. St. Pete Strength Club offered me a welcoming, queer-friendly environment to learn about weight lifting for the first time with small classes to get the exercise modifications and the support I needed. I was nervous to commit to a weight lifting class as someone with absolutely no experience, but the coaches were so patient with me and now I find it to be incredibly empowering. I’ve never been someone who loves working out, but at month 5 I now find myself enjoying fitness, loving how much stronger I feel and look, and have so much less pain in my everyday life.

I had tried Orangetheory in the past but found that the large class sizes were overwhelming and prevented me from getting consistent modifications for exercises that were too hard on my joints. I’m so glad I tried this instead.

As a nonbinary lesbian I also struggle feeling comfortable in fitness spaces, and working out at a lesbian-owned gym is a literal dream.

I loved this gym and am so sad I had to end my membership when I moved away! The small group training format is my favorite for results and I felt so comfortable with all of the trainers. I’ve been a part of somewhat similar small group fitness gyms in the past where some of the male trainers gave me the creeps and it was so nice not to have that here at all. I joined SPSC in April 2024. I came across this gym as a recommendation on Reddit. I’m so grateful I found that Reddit thread. Jordan’s gym has been life changing for me to put it lightly. I’ve always been interested in strength training, but never could stay consistent and never had the motivation/ accountability. This gym is so welcoming and friendly. I started my membership with St. Pete. Strength Club the first week of January 2024, and have been attending the training sessions consistently 3 times a week since. Making the decision to join a gym can be intimidating and difficult. The hardest part is taking that initial step of reaching out and inquiring about a membership and it has been one of my best health decisions I have made in a long time. My main goals were to focus on gaining more strength and also to start living an all-around healthier lifestyle. Jordan has created a nonjudgmental environment where EVERYONE is welcome and the training sessions are very accepting. Not to mention, an absolute blast at the same time!
I have been struggling with high blood pressure and high cholesterol for the past 15 years. Unfortunately, genetics play a role in my numbers. However, for the first time in over a decade, both my total cholesterol and my blood pressure are back to normal. When I started with St Pete Strength Club back in January, my Total Cholesterol was at 240 and my blood pressure was at 130/90. After almost 8 months of attending the gym consistently 3 times a week and incorporating a healthier and balanced diet through Jordan’s nutritional guidance, my Total Cholesterol is a normal level of 191 and my Blood Pressure is also normal at 117/75. I have also had some fat loss and much more muscle gain through this journey. I am feeling stronger now than I have felt in decades. I also have much more energy, focus, and motivation since I have started with St. Pete Strength Club by incorporated this routine into my life. I plan on increasing my membership to attend 4 sessions a week starting next month. I have reached a point in my strength journey where I am needing and craving more! I can’t get enough! In addition, I love the people that I train with and I have met a lot of great people through St Pete Strength Club. But mostly, I love how St Pete Strength Club has changed my life for the better. I will remain a member for years to come.

I freaking love this place. The classes are small, energizing and I'll always have a great time. Working out here is actually fun with the wonderful people that train at St Pete Strength Club.
Prior to working out with Coach Jordan, strength training and the idea of lifting barbells was completely overwhelming but anyone to do this. Doesn't matter your current fitness level, experience, etc, all are welcome and celebrated. Workouts are tailored to what makes sense to the individual and you will start to feel strong fast.
