I saw an advertisement on Facebook for Stay Fit Personal Training. I usually avoid and skip those ads but this one seemed to speak directly to me! Over 50, low energy, losing muscle tone, and more! So I made the call! I spoke to Roy, the owner! The best call I have made in a long time! I have been in the program for 5 weeks, I feel better, stronger and more full of life than I have in a long time! Roy is very professional and listens to your needs and then places you on a plan specific for you even though there are others in your class. He stays with you ensuring your form is correct and if you struggle he adjusts the exercise specific to you! If you excel he will adjust to challenge you more! Roy also speaks to you about nutrition and informs you of how important protein and fiber is versus calories when you are over 50! This is a well rounded program that I highly recommend!!!

Matt and the trainers at Stay Fit are a perfect blend of a full body and mind workout. In just a few months, I can tell the difference not only in the loss of weight and inches, but my focus and posture has adjusted which has really changed how I feel overall. Matt is a great motivator and really pays attention to how I’m feeling, and adjusts the workout accordingly. I started training with Matt 4 years ago at a previous facility and was so excited when he announced a new facility with some trainers I knew- and in my opinion, are the best. The equipment is in A-1 condition, feels sturdy, is the right stuff to aide the trainers train you well and the whole place is clean and accessible. Working out has become part of a new lifestyle for me- who would have ever thought I could really do it and keep after it? I know it never would have happened without a great trainer.Trainers must really care- not '1,2 3 give me 4 more' while looking out the window, must understand the human body to get maximum workout results and prevent injury, and must patiently encourage us. I'm describing Stay Fit.

I had surgery on both my shoulder and knee back in 2021 and I am 67. After recouping I made up my mind to get in shape and stay in shape. I was introduced to Matt Barber at a prior facility and when he had to relocate I stayed with Matt. I have been training now 20 months with Matt and I am in the best shape I have ever been in. We train 3 days a week. Matt is very conscientious of how he trains you and always asking before each workout how is my body feeling incase Matt may have to adjust my work out. I have been a client of Matt for nearly 8 years. He initially helped me to recover from a broken shoulder. The experience was positive and resulted in complete restoration of mobility of my arm. I subsequently decided to continue since I was nearing age 70 and have had a new level of fitness due to Matt’s careful attention to my needs, aspirations and concerns. At age 75, I walk a 5K in the morning, walk to play golf twice a week and enjoy what my husband describes as “the best shape” I’ve ever been in. I’m proof it’s never too late to start!!

I was in a very severe automobile accident where by my back was seriously injured. This inhibited me from doing my exercises for cardio and for muscle tone. I began training with Matt Barber initially twice weekly. Due to my back pain and inactivity I was experiencing major muscle atrophy in all my groups especially my core. As the sessions went on over the next several weeks and months I noticed that I am able to safely maintain my core strength and overall muscle tone without placing my back at further risk. His experience and knowledge is evident and by following his training I am able to maintain some of my mobility. I can recommend Matt without reservation. Not only is he talented but is also a family man with a traditional value system. With God‘s grace, I plan on continuing my training with him three times a week for the foreseeable future.

StayFit is a great place to workout. The trainers are professional and really know how to tailor a workout to the capabilities and needs of the client no matter the age or fitness level.
They provide lots of variety so you can experience a wide range of exercises for a total body workout.
They are very alert to proper technique and work to your level to avoid injury so you can enjoy your workout and feel good!

From my early to late sixties, my trainer Roy Gutierrez brought me from overweight, rapid heart rate and lazy muscles to a lithe, strong aging woman. I thought that I could stay that way without the work and maintenance. Not true. A hip surgery and back problems have brought me back to Roy at Stay Fit Persinal Training. I remember how I used to feel walking out of the gym after my workouts...lighter with a vitality in my stride. I am now 76, and after only a few sessions, I am feeling the same way after only a half hour workout twice a week designed especially for my condition and age. Thank you, Roy!
